#agender Link for the win

Okay so quick context I’m agender and suffer from gender dysphoria. My dysphoric episodes usually came in waves, where one week I’d be fine and the next I’d have horrible dysphoria. In one of these episodes I decided I was gonna write this vent fic about my gender dysphoria and projecting myself onto Wild (as per usual) and I’d only ever write when I was in an episode. I often felt alone, but Writing made me feel so much better, so I figured at the end I’d post it so others like me didn’t feel as if they were alone.

But the thing is, I haven’t had an episode in months when they used to come at least every other week. I can get misgendered and not care, I’ve even considered wearing skirts again like I used to enjoy. I’ve came to realize how others perceive me doesn’t make me any less trans, and that gender norms are just a construct made by rich people, and if we eat the rich we should eat gender norms too.

Anyways I’ve been feeling so good about myself and super confident too, but I just read through that what I had of that unfinished vent fic.

It was honestly surreal to read through my thoughts about myself projected onto Wild and realize I don’t think like that anymore.

And it wasn’t just About my gender dysphoria, it was about the intrusive thoughts I suffered from as well. Those are for more frequent and I still get them, but they’re easier to deal with now.

Basically, I’ve gotten better mentally so I’m gonna write a new version where I once again project myself onto him, but I’ll pick out another character to #transify with my #translaser just for funzies

But till then, take this snippet! I’ll post the full thing of it if anyone wants, it’s nothing special and not very detailed, but if it’ll help knowing you’re not the only one with vicious intrusive thoughts I’ll be more then glad to share!

"What... what would you say, if I hypothetically told you that-" they pause, hands shaking like leafs in the wind. "-that I'm not a man. What would you say? Hypothetically, of course." Wild speaks, fiddling with their glove.

The chain look at each other worriedly. "Is this what's been bothering you?" Twilight speaks up. "That's fine, Wild."

Legend nods. "Yeah, we don't care." He shrugs.

Wild freezes, looking up at them as if it were some kind of joke. With eyes wide, he asks "You... don't care? Like, at all?"

"What, do you want a medal or something?" Legend chuckles. "If you wanna be a women that's fine, dud- uh, girl." He corrects himself. While it's wrong, (they're not a women), they appreciate the thought.

"I'm not a women either, though." They correct, not making eye contact.

Wind looks up at him. "But... if you're not a man, and not a women, what are you?" He asks curiously.

Wild pauses, thinking how best to answer this. "I'm... I don't really have a gender, I think. I know I'm not a man, and I'm not a women, I just don't think I have a gender at all." He tells them, worriedly looking up, half expecting to see looks of confusion or even disgust. But to their surprise, they were met with non of that.

"Oh, that's cool!" Four speaks up, and then goes back to eating his meal.

Time hums. "Y'know, my Zelda, they are in a similar situation to you, Wild." He speaks, taping his spoon on the side of the bowl. "They say they're not a man, and definitely not a women. They keep their name, but they're not a she." He explains.

Writeblr introduction I guess?

Guess what bitches (affectionate) I’ve been here for like six months and I’m finally making a writeblr introduction. I have just vibed within the community for all this time, and I reckon it’s time to actually confirm my existence as an actual writer.

A bit about me: you can call me River, I mainly write fanfiction for quite a few fandoms, I’m a full time student, I use all pronouns (agender bitches for the win) and autistic currently seeking diagnosis.(in this economy? I know, right?)

Aelia Lovegood - Luna Lovegood has a pyromaniacal twin who is trying to fix racism by punching Nazi children in the face. It’s mostly working

Oh dear it’s a time loop fic - Draco and Hermione are trapped in a time loop, what will they do? (Troll everyone for basically eternity, and try not to go mad)

The fic where Harry is a sociopath, and goes full homicidal mode on Voldemort along with a scary Hermione and a power-hungry Ron - eh the title explains it well enough

when stars collide (a black hole forms) - a person from our world falls into the HP universe, and immediately tries to mother hen her family out of being evil. Callidora is the twin sister of Bellatrix, and spends the next thirty or so years attempting to fix everyone through the power of love. It works most of the time.

Harry Potter and the job he should have gotten - thirteen years after the end of the War, Minerva McGonagall has a staffing crisis and breaks into people’s homes until they agree to teach. Harry/Theo Knott, Hermione/Pansy and Draco girlbossing it by himself while figuring out how to be a single father.

Marvel

Of Godparents and Aunt-sassins - Jokingly, a couple name the godparent of their new child as Loki. No one expects him to except. Ava is a menace, Loki is a gender fluid icon, a wonderful brother and a terrible influence, Natasha is the vodka aunt, Clint is the fun uncle, Cooper Barton is the responsible one, Peter is a tiny adorable baby who gets adopted, and the Avengers live the 2012 Tower life

SHIELD: An Unofficial Guide - based off the SHIELD survival tips blog here on tumblr, written up in a guide-book form, complete with neatly organised chapters and unique anecdotes

A Glitch in the System - Glitch, a winter-widow and the last remanent of HYDRA, is sent to assassinate the Avengers. When she fails, she runs away and meets a certain spider-child on a rooftop. Featuring a teenage Loki, an amnesiac Pietro and a certain blonde widow, who’ve all moved into May Parker’s apartment, and a lot of miscommunication between just about everyone

Loki doki timey wimey - set during Thor:Ragnorok, Tony and co notice that Loki has reappeared on Midgard, and promptly break into Doctor Stranges house to question him. Dr S promptly gets very annoyed by Tony and Lokis inability to get on, and sends them away to the magical equivalent of a get along shirt, which goes wrong and leaves Tony and Loki stranded in a time loop. They’re under the impression that the loop will break when they learn to get along, Dr Strange is doing nothing to disillusion them of that.

Another life - something I started before the Loki show came out (take that Marvel), starts at the beginning of Infinity War, when a female Loki dies at the hands of Thanos, meets the personification of the universe, merges with the Tesseract, leaving her with a shapeshifting familiar and teleporting powers. She then travels briefly through the multiverse and lands in the OG Marvel universe, with a Tom Hiddleston themed Loki and attempts to fix stuff through the power of having a giant snake and knives.

Bucky and the time he lived in the woods with his murder daughters - Bucky escapes from HYDRA in the 90s with Natasha and Yelena. They live in the mountains of Romania together, learning how to be actual real life people and incidentally becoming cryptida along the way. Natasha and Yelena join SHIELD in their early twenties, and continue happily along their way in the canon plot, until their father James comes to visit the Avengers Tower after the Battle of New York, and bumps into a familiar blonde…

Supernatural

Woahhhh it’s Emmy - Emmy, (long for MJ, short for Mary Junior), is the standard extra Winchester OC, twin sister of Sam, who is almost as bad at talking through her problems as Dean is. While Sam went to Smamford, and Dean ran around with John, Emmy started a weapons dealing company for hunters, travelling around under the guise of an occult shop. She reluctantly joins back up with her brothers in season 1, just to make sure her dumbasses don’t get themselves killed. She solves half of the shows problems with a glock.

Doctor Who

Who the fuck is Sally Sparrow? - Kat Sparrow has grown up knowing that things live in the darkness. The Sparrows are known by all the intelligence agency’s of the world, for their abilities to find and trap those things. Their specialty? Angels. When River Song appears on her doorstep one night, telling her that she has an angel to catch, Kat does the only thing she can, and joins the Doctor, River and Amy in the TARDIS to catch it. Kat thinks it’s fantastic, Amy enjoys having a friend whos roughly her age, and River is cryptic as ever. The Doctor, however, would really like to know how the hell a human girl is capable of subduing the most deadly creature in the universe.

Redo of Sally Sparrow except there’s no Sally Sparrow and a completely different plot line - When River tumbles into the TARDIS at the start of the infamous Maze of the Angels episode, she brings someone else with her - her adopted daughter, Astra. Unknown to 11, Astra is his child from the future, the result of a coupling between 12 and Missy, who was partially raised by both of them and the other half by River. Featuring: Astra is briefly evil and genocidial, Astra gets therapy with 14 and Donna, Astra flirts constantly with half of his companions, River, Missy and 13 all walk into a bar, and the combination of lesbianism causes a rift in time and space, and someone really needs to stop 12 from naming people after his past companions.

The Vampire Diaries

TVDeeznuts - Cassie Gilbert, twin sister of Jeremy, heads off to an out of state boarding school after being compelled by Damon in an attempt to protect the first person to have trusted him unconditionally in the last hundred and fifty years. Yes, he might have been a crow for half of it, but the thought is what counts, right? Unfortunately, being the danger magnet she is, Cassie immediately manages to befriend a local artist by the name of Nik Mikaelson. Three kidnappings later, Cassie is the first honorary Mikaelson since Marcel. Let’s just hope it doesn’t go quite as bad as his did.

Shadow hunters

Making my OCs be adopted by a bunch of vampires has nothing to do with my parental issues I promise - Autumn, a rather shy twelve year old, is Turned into a vampire rather unexpectedly by a less than stable Maureen who wants to be best friends forever. She immediately attaches herself to Raphael, who is horrified, but ultimately decides that he can use the situation to gaslight Magnus into believing that she’s always been around. Autumn has no objections, Lily thinks it hilarious, and Elliot is just happy to have a little sister.

Shadow hunting my multiple mental illnesses - Astoria Fray is perfectly normal. She does her homework, eats far too many chips, and goes out to parties with her best friends Lily, Elliot and Raphael. And then her mom gets kidnapped, her sister goes missing, her uncle won’t talk to her, and a very sparkly man tells her that he’s a friend of her mothers and that she can stay at his place. And as if that wasn’t enough, turns out that she’s not human, her dad is shadow hunter Hitler, and vampires, werewolf’s and warlocks are real.

At least Lily and Raphael are still normal. Right?

we'll never get free (lamb to the slaughter) - Magnus Bane is forced to baby-sit a precocious, morally-grey Warlock child. It goes about as well as you'd imagine.

Fourth Wing

Fourth wing more like fortieth wip - Elyrion Melgren (currently going under the name Elyrion Foxe) lived in Tyrrendor for the first fourteen years of her life, while her father led the armies of Navarre, spending her days exploring the city with her best friend Xaden. Six years later, she hasn’t seen Xaden since the apostasy, and has been forbidden by her father to go into the Riders, as he doesn’t want her to interact with the Marked Ones. Elyrion promptly ignores his orders, crosses Parapet, and joins the revolution.

Throne of Glass

Cadre Coparenting - what could go wrong? -Two years after Aelin Galathynius was born, her sister, Aurelia arrived. Born with powers of darkness and death, Evalin and Rhoe have no choice but to send her to the only person with experience in controlling powers like hers - her Aunt, Maeve. Maeve promptly passes the child off to her loyal bloodsworn until she’s old enough to be useful to her. Between the six of them, the Cadre just about manage to raise a singular child, despite Aurelia's best attempts to be difficult. It’s entirely her fault that half of Doranelle now believes that Lorcan and Rowan are divorced, and co-parenting their daughter together with Gavriel and Vaughan, their new partners, and Fenrys and Connall, her brothers.

Twilight

Twi-mental breakdown-light - Twilight if Bella had a precocious ten year old sister, and Edward and Bella raise her in aroace solidarity. Esme is delighted that she finally gets a grandchild, and Emmett is not responsible enough to baby sit.

I sort of had a gender questioning phase a couple years ago-- thought I might be a boy because I liked girls and a couple other things, but I came out the other side still cis but with a better understanding of myself. Even if your gender questioning is a round trip, I think it's worth it for everyone.

I know I joked about taking you pronoun shopping to win the hypothetical fight, but I genuinely am glad that you found a way to be that makes you feel happier.

A few years ago I was working on Sora's conversion to have him in our sims game (from @lea-heartscxiv and me), but we never shared our conversion of his Custom Content. But after several years we decide to share with you Sora's CC along with Kingdom Key L/D accessory and poses.

By the way, in the future when I have shared more KH characters, I will share my own version of their eyes, in default, detail skin and make up version. As I type this, there are over 380 anti-trans bills being proposed in the United States. Republicans in office have begun using genocidal language to talk about eliminating trans folks. I am a part of the #bookstagram and #booktok communities, and I want to see us DO SOMETHING about it. Several influential tiktok accounts have banded together to create various events throughout late March to help raise money and awareness for trans rights. A mysterious feyrie figure ushers you into a “play” for their own amusement … and all-too-quickly, you learn that not only is the cast trapped in a timeloop, but the “win” condition for the fey’s “play” involve a fair amount of murder in order for each loop to reset.

Can you help the cast escape their story, or is the playwright always destined to win in the end?

Summary: Will Moore comes back to his home town four years after running away from home as a teen. He reunites with his siblings and his best friend. But to his surprise his ex-boyfriend Nicky is there to welcome him back too - accompanied by his almost four year old son Seong-Min.

Will is looking for a job back home, thinking about getting his G.E.D., regretting his choices, et cetera. Nicky’s wife offers him a babysitting gig, and despite his better judgement Will takes the job. Seong-Min is just too cute to resist. And there’s a lot of unfinished business between Will and Nicky that Will would like to put to rest, if they can.

Status: 6k words of a goal of 25k, draft #2.

@calicojackofficial​​: Curse the Messenger, book one of The Stranger trilogy, a series of adult urban fantasy horror inspired by crime noir.

Summary: The main character and 3rd-person narrator of the first book is Eddie Alfaro, a 23 year old Mexican-American lesbian. She is a Seer, which is a type of clairvoyant who has night terror premonitions. Eddie is tormented in her sleep with visions of strangers’ last moments. She has mundane nightmares and sleep paralysis as well, so sometimes it’s difficult to tell what is a premonition and what is just her own subconscious torturing her for the wrongs of her past.

Eddie and her sibling, Fred (27, agender, Scryer), run a small scale private investigation service for other witches - one of the only ways that clairvoyants, who are pariahs in witch society, can make a relatively safe living. They mostly find missing items or curate profiles on people, the same kinds of things that secular P.I.s do but with the added benefit of their powers and the intrigue of their clients’ and targets’.

Then the mysterious Jessica (31, trans lesbian, secular) brings them a murder case. Her ex-girlfriend, Maddie (30, pansexual, Emenant), was brutally murdered. Jessica knows this for certain, she even claims to have seen the crime scene herself before it was cleaned up and there’s no way anyone could survive that kind of carnage. But the secular police are insisting that Maddie is missing, and that they don’t even suspect foul play and aren’t going to look into it.

Despite Fred’s numerous reservations, Eddie makes the executive decision for the both of them to take Jessica’s case and find out what happened to Maddie - and why the police are so sure she’s completely fine despite the gore left in the alleyway she disappeared from.

Summary:  The Touched are dangerous.

Or at least, that’s what Eris was always taught. It’s not their fault – violence and apathy is simply their nature, and only through rigorous training and careful outside control can they overcome these instincts. Eris was one of the lucky ones, found and whisked away by the Registry at a young age, taught to expel her pent up rage and aggression to defend humanity from her own kind, a perfectly controlled killing machine.

Growing up, all she ever wanted was to be better, to be human and normal. And it’s right there, right around the corner in the form of a nemesis left to die, a job training Touched youth, and an engagement to the Registry Head’s daughter. Her dream is finally within reach… So why does she feel more trapped and alone than ever?

Everything Eris thought she knew about herself, her world, and her desires is falling apart at the seams. And the only one who seems willing to listen is a strangely familiar man who she exchanges numbers with at a Registry party.

Maybe she’s giving in to the darkness, just like they always said she would.

Or maybe she’s just growing up.

Summary: After a brush with Death (who gives her the mothwing cloak), Mothwing journeys through the land of the Fae in search of the Silver Door, a place that is said to cure all ails and heal all wounds. At its core, Mothwing is about healing from familial trauma, recovering a sense of identity, and learning how to forgive yourself.

Status: As of September 2022, Mothwing is fully outlined and partially scripted, and has undergone some visual development.

@open-notebook​​: Nobody Ends Up Dead in a Bathtub, Everyone Keeps Their Organs, revenge romantic-comedy

Summary: Alex is a secretary who gets pranked by his co-workers. They set him up on a blind “date” with an escort and sex worker, Damián, thinking it’ll be totally humiliating.

But Damián is nice and needs extra cash to get his brother into grad school. So, he and Alex plot revenge in the form of a fake dating scheme. If they wanted Alex to be embarrassed by going on a date with a sex worker, well, Alex will proudly show off his new boyfriend at the upcoming office party. “Thanks for setting me up with Damián, guys! He’s so smart and kind, and he’s an entrepreneur, as you know.”

And because this is a half-romance story, they end up falling for each other for real. Until shit starts going down, and Alex panics and feels immeasurable guilt over dragging Damián through petty revenge when he’s just trying to do his job.

@preliminarynori​​: First Dates and Second Scandals, romance

Summary: Izzy was once known as the Pop Princess of LA, but a public breakup and harassment over social media from defensive fans of her ex pushed her into semi-retirement.

Enter Kai, the leader of the internationally beloved boy group NXT. Slowly, he draws her out of her shell and reveals the ugly underbelly of the pop industry in his home country, Cadapor. They start to develop feelings, but a romantic relationship is frowned upon by Kai’s management and Izzy is afraid of facing the same death threats and suicide bait she received years before all because of a summer fling. 

First Dates is a somewhat K-pop-inspired romance novel. Rather than really being based on any one idol or group, it’s really inspired by the phenomenon of K-pop—the international adoration and the darker sides of it including toxic fanbases and abusive contracts

Status: This project was part of preliminaroynori’s July 2022 Camp NaNo project. The complete novel can be found on Wattpad and Tapas hopefully by January 2023.

Hello!! I'm here to ask if its possible to get  the game and its dlcs on steam and play it on android?

I’m afraid not. Steam doesn’t have Android builds on their own site and Steam is not cool with keys for other sites being given out for Steam purchases, so you don’t get the Itch version from buying on Steam.

Hello! Sorry to bother you but, I had a question, if we buy the Game on itchio do we get steam keys or would we need to purchase it twice? 

You would have to buy it twice if you want it in both places, I’m sorry. To repeat myself a little, Steam doesn’t like the key trading thing. Itch may support giving keys for another site, but the reverse isn’t doable with Steam and Steam doesn’t even really want you to get a Steam key for buying somewhere else either. So we just don’t mess around with that.

hey, sorry if this is frequently asked, but is step 4 free dlc or paid for? some of your sources are contradicting each other. 

It’s free! There’s a paid wedding DLC, but Step 4 itself is entirely unpaid.

Hello! I just had a quick question, for the Baxter and Derek DLC's will we be able to confess our feelings to them or let them confess to MC? or will it only be one way? (they confess to MC)

It’s not, aha. Unfortunately, 2021 wasn’t easier than 2020 as we hoped so things are still slower than planned. It’ll come out late 2021 or early 2022.

Hi! Firstly I just want to say that I LOVE Our Life. I have played a bit of similar games but this one instantly wins for the best one! Everything about it is amazing! I just wanted to ask if Derek would ever lose feelings for MC, like if they make the deal and then MC gets with Cove would he move on? and even if you don't, after "losing contact" would his feeling fade or would he still like MC? 

If you don’t really keep in touch with him and clearly move on with your life, Derek will too and he’ll be over it. But if you are still close as best as you can be, he’ll still think the MC is special. Though, he’ll always support your relationship with someone else if that’s what’ll make you happy.

Hello! Sorry if you've answered this before but: 'How's Lee related to us? Though which momma? And does she share our player-chosen last names? Also, do you know if Noelani took Pam's last name or did it happen the other way round? 

She’s related to Pamela and Pamela’s last name is the one they use, so the MC has the same last name as Lee.

Will we be able to choose which (they or he) we tend to call Qiu by more often, or will it randomly change depending on the moment? 

Qiu knows which pronoun they’re comfortable with at a time and you’ll call them what they’re happy with. And it doesn’t change between lines, it takes multiple scenes or even full Steps for it to switch. So for extended periods Qiu will be totally a guy or fully agender.

Will Step 4 of OL2 have moments?

It’ll be an epilogue like it is in OL1, so it won’t have a bunch of different Moments.

It isn’t based on one specific town you can go to, but there are a lot of little coastal towns in Cali that have a similar vibe!

Heyaaa ( I hope you're all well ), umm… it might seem kinda stupid to ask but did Patreon members can have a key for the dlc's ( all the steps-released dlc ) even if they became a member this month or later ? (me? saying this cuz it's my case? maybe ;-;), and once again thanks for absolutely all the amazing works on all the games ! u-u 

You wouldn’t get the DLCs for backing there. The Patreon is for extra bonus content/early access, rather than being a storefront to purchase the normal DLCs. Rarely we give them out as a side gift, but it hardly happens and if what you want is the DLCs it’s best to ignore the Patreon and  buy keys for those directly from Itch or Steam. I’m sorry for the confusion.

I know Miranda was said to be straight ace but I dont believe anything was stated for Terry probably because he wasnt revealed to be a guy which changes things. Terry likes women and Randy likes men! And he did like Miranda back in Step 3.

I really love Our Life so much! I've spent over 20hours playing it even though I only got it a week ago! He’s got nothing against them for the people they work for, but he’s 100% monogamous and would only be comfortable with a partner who was willing to be monogamous with him.

Yep, you’ll be able to determine your feelings and what your relationship is.

Yeah, you can choose to live with Cove and that can be done when you’re friends.

I just played the game with the MC and Cove being best friends and omg it’s still so damn cute like the wholesomeness of it all is too much for my heart I swear ^.^  Now with that all said I was wondering can we still marry Cove? if we only love him as a friend like let’s say we’ve made deal with him similar to the one we can make with Derek because let’s real no one could compete with what the MC and Cove have even if they aren’t in love. 

It’s great to hear you enjoyed the friendship story! You can live with Cove, but you can’t marry him platonically. Cove has familial affection for the MC if they’re best-est friends. He wouldn’t think to marry someone he loves like family and even grew up with as though they truly were siblings.

Maybe you missed telling Cove you were in love with him even if you mentioned wanting to get married or you might’ve accidentally said earlier in the game that you don’t want to progress your relationship further with Cove. We haven’t removed them, so you can get the scene again. It’s just kind of easy to miss since there’s multiple requirements. You can read a little guide in the FAQ.

Technically, yes. We treat the non-romantic relationship options as truly non-romantic since we don’t want to bait and switch people. But there’s nothing wrong with headcanoning that Cove does have feelings developing for the MC even before the MC has.

Is there a way to make/allow Lee and Baxter to date?

No, they just don’t have enough time together.

We also got a group of asks related to Tamarack in OL2, but I’m afraid the way they talked about people with larger bodies made me not want to post their words, even if the person didn’t say they’re trying to be hurtful. I will separate out the core question and answer it though, so people can know that info.

Does Tamarack lose weight in later Steps?

No, she doesn’t. As for the other questions included, to be honest, I don’t have to explain/defend having romance options of different sizes. I’m sorry if you’re dealing with unhappiness that’s connected to body image, if that’s where the negative emotions are coming from, but even so I can’t meet you on that level and pretend it’s a problem that needs an answer. A girl who simply isn’t thin being a main love interest is just not an unreasonable concept. Also, Tamarack isn’t a lesbian. Yes, she can date a female MC, but that doesn’t undo her actual sexuality, so I’m not sure where that one part at the end was coming from.

I wonder... can we "fight" with Qiu over leader status? 👀

Not really, haha. No matter how cool your MC is, they’re never gonna replace Qiu for the other kids around. So you can either partner up with him, follow him too, or not be a part of all that group politics stuff.

So when I play the game, sometimes I mentally call Cove “Covie/Covey” and that made me wonder, how does Cove feel about being nicknamed? Not like Romeo/Space Cadet/etc. but like pet names relating to his actual name

It’d depend on his age, personality, and your relationship with him! When he’s younger he’d probably be embarrassed, when he was grown he’d probably be more casual or happy about it.

Yeah, you can be crushing on Cove and date Baxter if you weren’t already dating Cove. You just can’t be truly in love with Cove and then switch to Baxter.

Hi there! I have a question about the wedding dlc. Will we be able to plan a honeymoon during the planning stages of it or would it be something that Cove and the mc would rather plan later on? Thank you! Absolutly love the game by the way, definitely one of my favorite games! 

The focus will be on the wedding day itself. The topic of the honeymoon might come up a bit, but there won’t be any choosing of the exact location and such.

Hi! I have two questions and it's completely understandable if you only answer one/neither and I'm sorry if you've already answered either before! First, is there a set year in which OL:B&A takes place (ex: Step 1 being set in 2010 & Step 2 being set in 2016, etc.) or is it simply up to interpretation? Second, have you guys thought about doing a coming-of-age game where the MC has a tough home life or upbringing? (like one of their parents is an addict, a parent being transphobic whilst the player has the option to be trans, or having friends that are influencing them to do drugs, etc.) That's all! There is a set timeline!

Step 1: 2006 Step 2: 2011 Step 3: 2016 Step 4: 2021 

And we don’t currently plan on making a game like that. The Our Life series exists to be a safer environment for people to play around in and if we did do a brand new series that was harsher edged it’d be something more fantastical and/or plot-driven instead of a different type of modern day slice-of-life growing up story. I’m sorry.

i don’t know if you’ve already answered this, but do you have a guess on when phase 4 will come out? as well as ol2? i’m so excited for both of them, the inclusivity in this game is amazing, you guys should be really proud of it! 

Step 4 will be coming out very soon! OL2 is gonna take until 2023 to be anywhere near completion. But we might episodically release the Steps one at a time as they get done instead of waiting for three to be finished before launch like we did with the first game.

Hi, I love the art style of Our life and I would like to know if the artist has a Twitter? Also, could it be possible to fund more CGs for the game from him/her? So many times, I wish there was one like when the cutscene of the sunshower. 

That’s nice of you to offer. He doesn’t have a Twitter, at least not one that’s public enough to be shared with me. And I’m afraid not. The issue is that the CGs take huge amounts of time rather than there not being a budget for it. He’s gotta make CGs for Step 4, the DLCs, and new character sprites, too. There isn’t space in the schedule for even more. Sorry for that.

I was born and raised in Cali! Though, not right by the beach. We still had to make trips out, but the setting is based on my own childhood memories of small beach towns we went through.

In Oidien there has always been a defined split against the Heavens and Ghost City. No one can remember what sparked the feud between them, it's possible after all these years of the fighting and endless war... they don't even remember themselves. They know it's tradition to keep fighting, to ensure the cycle of violence continues. So that is what they do; they keep fighting.

In recent years, the King of Ghost City has drawn back from the fields off battles and distants himself from politics. He leaves the affairs in his eldest children: Lianhauzi holds the crown, Lutaizi knows his way around the court, Suming’qiu is gifted with the army, and Taixuan is there to ensure everyone takes a break, to take care of her family.

A fight against children is how the Heavens view it... To their surprise, these children are more than gifted than their father. This isn't a game to them, it's a livelihood. They know how to secure a victory within minimum casualties, and they know how to balance one another's weakness.

The Heavens cannot take another loss. No matter how many battles they have lost, they have always managed to win this war. Each time. But on this account? They're afraid to admit they've been beat. So they come to a resolution: they have to take out one of the links. Take out one and the rest should crumble.

It's...

Not as easy as one would imagine. Or so their spies in court relay. The four know to keep their distance in public, and if they meet in private no one knows. They handpick their servants carefully, and they ensure each servant knows their tasks and do not overstep. They've taken every precaution necessary.

Even when it works, when one of their spies is welcomed inside that well guarded, hidden court... no one expects the game of cat and mouse to transpire. Their spy is humored until she's willing to change her allegiance and eventually is brought into the family by marriage... In the very least, she offers the weakest link to exploit to destroy the family.

Her booted feet pattered against the puddles of rain droplets as she hugged the umbrella close to her shoulder, protecting herself from the storm. In a hurry she rounded the corner, following after the image of a soaked cat that had caught her attention and ran before she could approach it properly. It had been the first time in awhile since she had taken to sprinting, to follow the cat. Around the corner Xihuli came, brought to an abrupt halt when she turned into another person, as insane as she was to be out in the midst of a storm.

Her umbrella clattered to the floor, dropped as she staggered back a pace. The bright red silk was out of place, spinning upon the rain soaked ground. She gained her footing, no longer staggering to place distance between them. Her head threw back, an angry look quick to find purchase upon her features. Having yet to reach for her umbrella, the rain begun to soak the bright red and white silks she wore, drenched and sticking to her figure. "Watch—"

Her protests are so abruptly cut off. She watches the man tilt back his own umbrella, dark as the stormy sky with red spider lilies imprinted upon the fabric; the hanging tassels brush against his form, parting to expose his face. A youthful face that should have been smiling, with those eyes— so red to match the spider lilies upon his umbrella— staring at her as if she were a lesser being. The umbrella sits back upon his shoulder, head tilted forward with his chin forward, a sign he was in fact superior to her.

"Don't you know better, Zhuque?" The tone he speaks in, it's unlike that rambunctious voice he's known for, full of laughter that becomes too obnoxious for the ears. How serious it is, no jest spoken, no room for his games. He stares her down, staring through the dangling tassels of his umbrella. And how unkind that look is, a look that's no better than a wolf staring at a lamb. "You should never be out so late."

The two men, another prince and his own dog. Wine and lilac gives him away, wearing the golden lotus crown in his hair. Face unfriendly, a natural scowl he had been born with. He stands beneath the umbrella held above his head, keeping him dry from the rain. Held by that fucking bastard, smug and vain, with the bones acting as hair pins. He's uncaring if he gets wet, of course he is. When he controls the ocean why would he care about a little storm?

Lianhauzi pulls back his hood as he now stands blocking the last exit, Lutaizi and An Huli keeping the woman pinned in. He takes a step forward, Xieyuan moves with him, holding the umbrella in place. When he steps forward they all watch Xihuli push herself back, struggling to press her back into the wall, able to stare in each direction where one was coming from. "The fear in your eyes betray you... You know why we are here."

From the second Dayo could hold his head upright by himself, their mom taught them the importance of community. The people of the world, whether they were neighbours or stuck on the streets, were family too in a way and it was their duty to bring joy wherever they could afford to. On Sunday mornings Dayo sang with the church’s youth choir, in the evenings he held his own ladle at the soup kitchen, and he wore a big, toothy grin on his face all the while. It was a childhood full of music and smiles, scraped knees and warm hugs. There was no feeling in the world quite as important as doing a good deed, and turning back to find his mother with a proud smile and a hand over her heart.

Much like their mom, Dayo’s dad wanted nothing more than to instill the value of hard work into his son, both for the community and for themselves. After Dayo’s freshman year of high school, the lifelong debate finally came to a head: he could have a drumkit in the house if he paid for it himself. Thus begun their summer job at The Daily Scoop, their favourite ice cream place. They brought music their too, tapping the scoops and dancing around behind the counter, freestyling little songs and raps about the flavours on display. Eventually, this resulted in a viral video going around of him hard at work, a raise from the shop’s owner, and their very own drum-kit at the end of the summer.

Auditioning for a TV show started as a joke, something their friends would nudge each other and toss around almost like an insult. Corny, pre-packaged pop music wasn’t their thing, it never had been, if it didn’t have soul or a beat Dayo wasn’t interested. The thought stuck with them, though. There was a hopeful, naive part of them that wondered if, maybe, the reason those shows lacked those things was because nobody brought them. Maybe those big, brassy voices really were just hollow, lacking substance, and that was why they got chewed up and spat out. Their acclaim in the community grew, there was a buzz in the air, and eventually Dayo let their ego take hold and sent off an application, complete with a link to his viral clip, and a recording of him performing a cover of No One to his own piano playing at a school talent contest, one he ended up winning.

They didn’t think ahead to tell their parents, or their friends, or anybody, really– it felt like such a long shot that they almost completely forgot about it between the month they sent it in, and the month they got the call. A chirpy, nasal woman on the other end of the line introduced herself as Rachel, and told him they just *loved* everything about him, and that the chance to audition live on TV was his if he wanted it. They had advice for him, too. He should dress “urban,” she said, with a lilt that told him that wasn’t what she really meant, and pick an old song. Something powerful with a lot of belts, something his father probably liked - to which Dayo said “actually, my dad’s a huge Spice Girls fan.” That got a laugh, which gave them a weird feeling in their stomach, but they didn’t question it. The opportunity was way too huge for questions, right?

His mom freaked, a little bit. It took a full action plan to get the green-light on it from both her and his dad; he’d travel to Miami with a friend from school whose family were headed there for the summer anyway, he wouldn’t go to the auditions alone, and he’d call every hour he stood in that queue to confirm he hadn’t been snatched up by some elusive Miami branch of the mafia, or whatever. He took off in sweats, with his own version of I’ve Gotta Be Me in his back pocket, ready to go.

Apparently, his image was ‘confused.’ Apparently, they were looking for a ‘brand,’ somebody who could ‘sell,’ somebody who knew who they were, and what they wanted to put out into the world. Dayo’s first thought, naturally, was bullshit. Why, if he did exactly what they told him, was he being rejected? Worse than that, why was he being mocked? Before he could even respond, one of them held out a hand and told him to calm down just from the look on his face, as if he was about to jump down from the stage at them - but he didn’t give them the satisfaction. With a simple “whatever, man. Thanks,” he set the mic back in its stand, and walked away to snippets of what a rude young man he was.

With that, the fleeting dream was dead. It was fine, he told everybody - it probably wouldn’t even get aired, he was probably one of two-hundred ‘no’s that day, that would be the last he ever heard of it. Until it wasn’t.

It wasn’t Rachel on the phone the second time, but it was somebody from the show, asking if he’d consider coming back. Apparently, they were giving him a second chance. How kind of them. In later years, they’d come to regret it, but in the moment it felt like a miracle they couldn’t afford to turn down.

Ten Below was formed of a collection of boys like Dayo, one with talent that didn’t scream “marketable” for one reason or another on their own, but could change that if they came together. Acted like friends. At times, they were, and at others they weren’t; some members took more kindly to Dayo than others, and the same could be said for the media. Doing something as simple as defending himself against complaints would have him labelled an aggressor, the problem child of the group. It was always them, somehow, always too loud, too quiet, too something - they could do every dance move right, and still get caught for slacking in rehearsal. As far as Dayo could see, they were just looking for a million and one ways to call him “too black” without the consequences of really saying it.

There were perks to fame, of course. Perks, money he could share back home, but there were costs too great. Not being allowed to publicly be with men was one thing, not being allowed to publicly not be a man was another. Slowly, those costs built, until one incident tipped it all over the edge. After years of world tours and concerts, all it took was somebody chucking a water bottle at them from the crowd to send them off of the stage mid-song. The press had a field day of course, accusing them of being everything from a spoiled, lazy, privileged brat, to a hooligan in one article, for some reason. That was the final straw.

Dayo was done. No amount of begging and backtracking from their managers would cut it, not after the targeted nature of it all sunk in. The only option, if Dayo wanted to keep performing and reaching out - this time with his own voice - they needed to get out of that contract. They had a chokehold on his social media, his entire image, and until they broke out of that trap they’d run it into the ground, along with the all-too-happy press.

Sticking around LA wasn’t an option anymore, and neither was Florida, not unless Dayo wanted their parents to get back into it. It was a hasty decision, but one call to his cousins in Huntsville was enough for Dayo to jump ship there, prepared to hide and wait out the storm.

What Humans Are Doing To Pepe Le Pew, Is Added To My Semi-Misanthrope

I’m watching it on the Xbox In the living room, but I just had to pause it and sign on to tumblr to talk about my feelings. 

I was watching some movies before that,

that has a crossover of live action and animation.

I love movies that has crossovers of the real world and cartoon world.

even if Pepe comes on a bit strong to women, maybe both toon and non-toon.

he isn’t as bad as some humans in real life, who have done far worse.

and if it is true that Johnny Bravo will be next, then I will have another thing to add to my Semi-Misanthropy.

I still like humanity, just not when they do stupid and insensitive disgusting things like what they are trying to do to Pepe Le Pew.

lucky there are some humans that know better and those are the ones that I still don’t find disgusting and doing that disgusting act on Pepe.

who by the way is a TOON, not a human.

even if he and some toons like him are “human on the inside”

they are Anthropomorphic.

even if some years decades back, there were such offensive cartoons

that are known as the Banned Cartoons.

but you can’t just mix them in with toons like Pepe Le Pew or even Johnny Bravo.

if the cartoon Johnny Bravo gets hurt in anyway by those so called women,

who think they are helping women by cancelling Johnny Bravo,

their not, and Johnny Bravo might be many things, but at least he doesn’t try to “hurt” women like most attackers do in real life.

  yeah both Pepe and Bravo flirt, and kiss the toon females in their cartoons,

BUT they do not cross the line into what some disgusting humans do in real life.

so don’t go and blame those self proclaim gift to women/adorkable toon romeos, for how some humans act in real life.

I have it on pause right now, and I’m still watching it, and I plan to check out the other videos that talk about what is happening to Pepe Le Pew.

then after that, I might just play Bendy And The Ink Machine.

if they wanted to change Pepe, they could of had Pepe end up in some kind of scene where he sings about how he only has eyes for Penelope,

and him ending up not flirting with every pretty face after they started to meet up again, and Pepe gets the realization that he is truly in love with Penelope.

but instead of doing that, they just decide to cut him out.

my fighting for Pepe has nothing to do with my heritage,

like my 23rd Great-Grandfather Philip being from France,

and well he was a very important person back in his time.

but like I said, my fighting for Pepe has nothing to do with one of my heritages.

Pepe deserves better, he is a Toon that should have some rights,

even if he and other toons are fictional, he shouldn’t be cut out of the movie.

 and it seems Warner Bros wont have Pepe appear in anymore future projects  

even if Penelope got a restraining order on Pepe,

for him touching others without their consent, it doesn’t mean he did what most humans have done in real life.

touching, could imply the kissing and touching of the arm or hugging,

not the forbidden zone, he ain’t No Holli Would.

if we want toons to be modernize, don’t just kill them off.

in one of the Looney Tunes Shows, where that new character Tina appeared in,

who I happen to like has Daffy’s new love interest.

Speedy ran his own restaurant and even had a dance studio where he taught other people dancing, he did thought Bugs was a real lady when Bugs was in disguise.

and Pepe he was helping plan Lola and Bugs’s wedding, and he was apparently married many times himself.

yes I can agree that Pepe can be a bit forceful in his smitten affections,

as well as him not being able to take a no for a answer.

plus if you watched any re-run of his cartoons,

you will see that he gets his karma by the shoe being on the other foot,

and he becomes the scared and running away from the lovesick female cat.

so how come no one is fighting for Pepe when he ends up being the one who tries to get away from the lovesick female...?

he wasn’t the only one who locked the door so the one he was trying to chase after couldn’t escape.

if you watch one of the re-run cartoons that has that episode,

it is the female cat who locks the door so Pepe couldn’t escape.

so how come Pepe when he ends up in the shoes/place of the females he tries to win the love of (even if it is in the wrong way) he doesn’t get people who tell him it’s okay, and he isn’t the only guy who went through such a terrible thing?

I don’t believe that Looney Tunes would go so far in their show of aggressive affection.

Pepe and Johnny might be many things, like not being able to take a No,

and tend to hug or kiss gals without consent,

but they are not the “R” word.

if toons have to get modernize, they shouldn’t be hurt like how Pepe is being hurt right now.

some cartoons aren’t for kids, and it should be the parents or guardians responsibility to keep the kids from seeing mature cartoons, or some mature live action/cartoon crossover type movies with mature themes in them,

until they are the proper ages to watch them.

I also want to say that I hope that someday the Cartoon Network’s name

is changed to “Warnertoon Network” because technically the Cartoon Network is linked to Warner Bros.

there is a old short, that is even shown on Youtube,

that shows Johnny Bravo having some form of attraction to Samurai Jack.

even if it could show some form of proof that Johnny isn’t as hetero as he appears in his cartoons, and his interaction with Jack shows that he might be either bi or pan, but not realize it.

it might not truly stop Johnny being the next victim.

I am not a feminist or feminism, even if there are some positive groups that are still fighting for women and girls rights.

I rather be a part of a Androgyny side, it could still fight for Feminine.

but it can be a group for both Female, Male, Andro-Agender, Gyno-Agender, Agender, any form of Binary and Non-Binary.

yes there can still be jerk guys who still think girls are beneath them.

but a guy should only feel that way, if the said girls are being sexist jerks,

and the same goes for girls who are treated the same way, if a guy is being a sexist jerk, then try not to give them power to treat you that way.

even if I know there can be good people in this world,

like friends, family and others.

I can’t agree with what is happening with Pepe Le Pew,

I feel it is wrong and if they have to change Pepe for the modern times,

it should show in Space Jam 2 Movie, that after meeting with Penelope again,

and he finds himself not hitting on other females, because he comes to the realization that he is truly in love with her,

and doesn’t want anyone else but her.

characters do evolve and change over time,

some still stay the same but can still be a bit different.

if they did have a musical in Space Jam 2,

it would have Pepe Le Pew singing about how much he loves Penelope,

and how he no longer wants to chase any other girl

but her from now on.

even if it is still good to fight for rights for women, but Pepe isn’t a monster.

he might kiss and hug without consent, but he would NEVER cross the line.

even if some cartoon episodes might give the misinterpretation he would.

also even if I do have a Semi-Androphobia, I know that not all guys are bad or dangerous, and some can be safe to be around.

plus there can be some guys who have Gynophobia,

which could be caused by different reasons,

one of which could have to do with being a victim of unwanted forbidden zone advances.

and even Mr. Max Landis did do such a disgusting thing,

Pepe should not be some form of scapegoat, 

or be blamed for that disgusting human’s actions.

like I said, Pepe Le Pew and Johnny Bravo might be many things,

but they would NEVER cross the line,

and do what that Shisno Landis  did.

no matter what bio-sex or gender identity you are,

if you believe that Pepe is being wrong, that I hope you can agree that what is happening to him isn’t right.

Pepe might think he can flirt or hug and kiss other gals without their consent,

and think they will fall for him, but he would never do what that Shisno did.

Shisno is of course from Red Vs Blue, and is what A.I. and Robots

call Humans, or in other words, what Organics are called.

even if Tali from Mass Effect does have her positive side,

and she does end up forming some type of friendship with Legion in one of the game timelines.

when she doesn’t form a friendship with Legion or starts to finally realize

that her people did the geth wrong.

she stays a dirty dirty shisno.

at least some quarians didn’t try to destroy the geth,

and wanted to help them, those quarians that did try to help the geth,

aren’t dirty shisno. but those quarians in the past were met with a bad end when they did try to help and protect the geth.

even if I haven’t been able to beat the Mass Effect 3 yet,

I know the info from reading or watching clips about it.

I hope that someone makes a petition to save Pepe and put him back in the Space Jam 2 Movie, and maybe have Pepe realize he wants no other woman in his life but Penelope, maybe even have Penelope realize the same thing too.

I know that there is a possibility by the time the movie is fully finished,

Pepe might still be out of it, which isn’t fair and should be fixed.

Pepe is a bit aggressive in his flirting, but he isn’t a monster like some humans are in real life.

if ya want to change Pepe a bit, to make him less how he was in his older cartoons, then make it so that he at least gets a slap or takes one No for answer.

Pepe acting the way he does, could mirror how Johnny Bravo acts, but a big differently.

yes Pepe is suppose to be French, but who he is wouldn’t have to do with his heritage, he is flirty and can take his flirting in the wrong direction.

but he is not a monster who would hurt the females he tries to win the love of,

if someone says that in some non-canon work that has Pepe in it,

it would NOT be canon to the canon Pepe.

 Pepe being the way he is, would have to do with the person he is on the inside,

not because of where he comes from.

if we want to save Pepe Le Pew, then how he ends up chasing women,

can be changed a bit when he finally take the first or few signs of no,

as  sign that he needs to stop, or his flirting can be played down a bit,

so it doesn’t get misinterpreted as being something that would cross the line to the forbidden zone.

I know that not everyone will see reason or try to understand that Pepe Le Pew,

might be a bit aggressive when he falls in love, or becomes attracted to someone that he believes he is in love with, but really he might not of truly have fallen in love before.

Pepe could have have his character developed a bit more

so he doesn’t get misinterpreted as one of the dangerous men/women that are seen in real life.       

yes I am counting the women too, because there are some who are just as bad as men.

and yes as the title shows, what is happening with Pepe Le Pew,

is something that I have mentally added to my reasons to dislike humanity.

even if I still have some love for humanity,

it is what Pepe Le Pew that I just can’t stand.

if Pepe has to get rebooted to save him from the metaphorical dip,

which is because of the different reasons he is cut from the Space Jam 2 Movie, then I would be for Pepe’s character being rebooted if it saves him.

if they do reboot him a bit, but still have him be a flirt, they could make it so that he does take a No for answer, but would just do friendly flirts from time to time

but not cross the uncomfortable line.

they could even have his Nationally Changed a bit,

like him being American, but having French heritage.

I mean I am from America, but I do have French heritage,

sadly I can’t speak the language and might only know a few words.

I got a few other different heritages too...

but I strongly believe that Pepe Henri Le Pew, deserves better.

and if rebooting him saves him from being no longer used by a Warner Brothers and keeps humans from misinterpreting him, because of how he is as a person on the inside, then I am for him rebooting him if it means he can be back on the Space Jam 2 Movie.

how some people act wouldn’t have to do with where they come from,

it would have to do with the person they are on the inside.

and I hope some of you understand that and don’t misunderstand.

I want to believe there can be hope for Pepe Henri Le Pew,

that if he does end up back in the movie, those who work on the movie

will point out they will change Pepe a bit, and make it so that he doesn’t flirt the same way he had done in the past, and will fall in love in the movie and no longer have eyes on anyone but who he has fallen for.

once more Pepe should not be blamed for what some shisno guy did,

and if he is causing misunderstandings of any kind,

just reboot him and make it so he flirts but he does take a no, and even does friendly flirts without crossing the line of no touching like hugging or kisses without the consent.

consent is very important, and I still think Pepe’s old cartoon where in the end

he ends up being the one who becomes the runner while the female cat ends up chasing him, should be mention.

Pepe might be the type that is desperate for romantic love but never truly fell in love and only felt attraction.

and he just goes about it the wrong way, but if he never truly crossed the forbidden zone line, that would mean that Pepe would have some form of

Moral Compass where he knows there are some actions he would not take to try to win the heart of those he chases.

he might cross the line of hugging and kissing and unwanted cuddles,

but I don’t believe he would cross to the forbidden zone line, where it goes beyond hugs, kisses and cuddles.

Put Pepe Le Pew back in the Space Jam 2 Movie,

but make sure there is info saying that his character will be changed a bit,

to be less aggressive in his flirting, and he has learn to take No for answer,

and his flirting has transformed into friendly flirting, and he no longer kisses or hugs a woman without her consent.

I can only hope some other fans of Looney Tunes, feel the same and will speak out about it.

if they go after Fifi too, then that would be another line crossed,

yeah she can be a bit aggressive when chasing after boys,

but she does seem to have a love interest in Hampton, who likes her back.

but she wouldn’t cross the line either.

I need to grab something to eat, I’m still gonna finish watching that video.

once more even though I am Semi-Misanthrope,

I still have humans that I still care about and I know that not all humans

are the same and wouldn’t just place the blame solely on Pepe.

and I really do hope he lets back in the movie before it’s fully finished,

and his character gets changed a little bit, so he comes off as a friendly flirt

that has learn to take No for answer.

Pepe and Johnny might take their flirting over the line at times,

but they would never cross the gross and physically harmful line,

where it would cause the person to become scared of either a man or woman that did harm to them.

the sooner humans learn this, I think the better it will be for all toonkind in the cartoons we love, both in shows, movies, video games and comics.

even if they are just fictional, even those like Pepe Le Pew and Johnny Bravo,

should have some form of justice.
