This half-foot. Dandan.

Looks preety similar to this lady here (I'll put them together so you see):

Half-lidded eyes, black hair&eyes, small eyebrows, curly hair... Dandan's skin is lighter probably because of low sun exposure (dungeon), and he has tons of freckles because he preety.

This two are clearly relatives if not siblings.

Flertom is a mirror image of the lady up there. She got Chil's eyes. She even has almost the same haircut (a bit longer). She's clearly the mother. We've solved Chilchuck's wife mystery.

But this wasn't what I was going to say.

This implies that Wife and Dandan both knew Chilchuck since their childhood. Because there's no way that Chil was just friend of the sister. They're both close to the same age, and I'll say Dandan is a Younger sibiling (she gives big sis vibes, and he gives young bro vibes). So either she introduced him to her brother or he introduced him to his sister and they became best friends as kids.

Could you imagine how their relationship was after Chil's Wife left him?

He knows he has to say something, but he doesn't want to end his relationships. At the end he takes his sister's side. He distances a bit from Chilchuck, calling him an "aquitance" rather than a friend. It isn't that he hates him, is just that it's complicated. And they both know it. They're in good terms tho, they just aren't best friends anymore and they don't talk about it. Their worry is the guild, not their personal stuff.

That's why Dandan introduces Chilchuck to Laios. If they were in bad terms, he would've suggested any other half-foot. They both priorize the guild and general safety of their own race. That's why Dandan suggests Chil instead of a less experienced hafling. He cares about the union and respects Chil's time and experience in dungeons. They're on good terms, at least good enough. Summing up, I get the feeling Dandan doesn't particularly likes Chil after what happened with his sister, but he respects him at least.

Transcript & Context:

[The trial was an eye-opener for us and we shouldn't be afraid to reach out to help cope with trauma. We both went to therapy, my mum felt brave enough to open up about her mental health and I went to talk through my fears and distress and how to gain control of it. In the end, we decided to move to Henford-on-Bagley]

[The countryside promoted healing and we were less likely to be triggered by places or people. It was really an escape from the big city. Settling down was easy since my grandparents lived there. It was also my first time visiting the family farm and I loved every single moment in that house]

[Most importantly, I felt more relaxed in Henford-on-Bagley. No more pestering reporters or prying eyes of the neighbours. No more trouble sleeping or flashbacks to all the difficult times. Instead, it was a warm welcome from the villagers, who did not ask too many questions, well most of them anyway]

[Our wellbeing improved and we immediately fitted in with the community. It was a new beginning here which meant a different school, routine and people. And one person in particular stood out from everyone else]

[Henford-on-Bagley was where I met Nancy Montford. She was my first love]

The remaining story parts (the first love and the one after 👀) are the ones that I have most been looking forward to! And look who is his first love...Nancy (tjolc)!!! It is perfect with her cooking roots and how city detective also explores food. I've mentioned that Vincent likes cooking and you will find out how it came to that. Now the two legacies link 🤗 One more thing is Oscar has NO RELATION to Strangerville even though I initially created him to be the mysterious guy.

anyone interested in talking about the iconic 2000's middle-grade-bordering-on-ya book series gallagher girls??

#okay incoming rant about this series #i read the first book when i was 10 or 11 and i was absolutely obssessed with it. i read it so many times i had the entire story memorized #the issue was that i could not find the rest of the series anywhere. it was either sold out or out of stock #and then i found out that only the first 3 books had been translated into my first language so at that point i kinda gave up on them #anyway #flashforward to a couple of weeks ago #i was re organizing my bookshelf and on the back i found LYKY (is this how y'all are abreviating it??)#and remembred how much i loved it #and since i'm now fluent in english and was stuck at home recovering from a surgery i decided to download the entire series and read it #to find out what the fuck happened afterwards #long story short i read all six books in 4 or 5 days #and i haven't stopped thinking about them since #it's actually so funny how little information we have in the first book #i went all of these years thinking it was mostly a silly series about a boarding school for spies when actually SO MUCH happens afterwards #i can't believe i went all of these years unaware of zach goode's existence #truly character of all time #but also i can't stop thinking about how interesting it would have been if zach had come to hate the circle and his mom during the series #rather than before #make it a true enemies to lovers #and have us witness that portion of his character developement in real time instead of being told about it #like him slowly realizing through cammie and his time at gallagher that maybe what they were doing is wrong #i think it would have been very interesting to read #although let's be real it took me until halfway through book four to trust him and he was fully one of the good guys so..#but yeah i have a lot more to say but these tags are long enough #gallagher girls #okay i just want to add another funny anecdote about my experience with this series #my copy of LYKY has an age warning in the back recomending that readers should be above 13 yo to read it #and i distinctly remember finishing it and thinking the warning was kind of dumb bcs besides a few mentions of death and other heavier topi #nothing really happened #and now i realize it was a warning for the rest of the series not just the first book because jesus fucking chirst everything after

Ohhh no I've misguided you a bit I fudge with dicks age a bit bc I personally think it makes more senses time line wise that dick would become Nightwing at 16/17 but canonically Dick became Nightwing at about 18/19 which tbh I personally still think the outfit makes sense at that age I've never known an 19 year old with much sense in them it's prime "I'm adult now" where you don't realise there's still a lot of stuff you don't realise and your about to make some of the worst choices of your whole life in the span of 12 months

I'm not a "new musical theatre style music" person. Never have been.

Even when I was doing voice lessons, I'd steer towards the golden age or jazzy musical theatre songs. My voice teacher would have to drag me kicking and screaming towards adding anything new musical theatre to my repertoire. For a while, the most modern song in my book was I Know The Truth from Aida, and I wouldn't count that as new musical theatre style since I mean more the Pasek&Paul or Joe Iconis type.

And now I have an audition coming up for a small production of a show in that style and I'm supposed to sing a song in a similar style. And I'm looking at all my sheet music like... let me do some Cole Porter... or Gershwin... at least Sondheim please...

#look i do have SOME newer musicals in my book. but like i said. kicking and screaming.#i'm probably gonna end up doing 'I Think That He Likes Me' which is not IN a musical it's just new musical theatre style #as part of a songbook for some writing duo that i can't remember the name of and it's 2:45am so i can't care enough to look it up.#and it's the only one in my sheet music folder that i'm like 'ok. this is TRULY the right style' and i know it's good in my voice #and it's a cute song and i do like it and it definitely fits the overall vibe of the show #and though i haven't sung it in like 4 years i still remember 90% of the words and have time to study it before the audition #but while trying to find that song deep deep in my folder i pass by other songs i just love so much more #and i'm like ahhhhhhhh why #and i'm not even like 'god i hope i get it' (see A Chorus Line. that's more my type) i truly don't care if i'm cast or not #and yes i can technically audition with any song i could ever want it's just suggested to do the same style #but i know the entire creative panel who i'll be auditioning for and the last 2 times i auditioned for them i sang the same song #only because it's a GOOD song that fit both shows i was auditioning for (Can't Stop Talking About Him by Frank Loesser)#(perfect audition song since it's short at like 28 bars and you can pick the tempo and do a lot of character stuff)#(but see this is what i mean. like 1/3 of my entire sheet music folder is golden age musicals. then half is 60s-90s.)#(and then the last chunk are the few new-ish musical theatre and some pop music.)#(if i took performing more seriously i'd have a wider range but this is truly just for fun and just for me. so i do what i like.)#i don't want to go in for a 3rd audition with the same creative team and doing the same song. especially since it doesn't fit this time.#so once again. dragged kicking and screaming. over to new musical theatre territory. unwillingly.#if i get cast we'll have to see if the show itself even grows on me since honestly i think there's maybe 2 songs i like in it.#it's definitely not the worst new musical theatre style show but it's also not one that drew me in.#ok wait while looking through lists of 'new musical theatre' shows to find one i actually like (i think just Legally Blonde sorry guys)#(every other new musical in the last 20 years that i like did something interesting with the music like Come From Away)#i ended up finding out that apparently 13 was adapted into a netflix movie? when did that even happen?#i mean i don't care for that show either but i thought i was at least up to date on movie adaptations.

sudden flashbacks to childhood as i remember the first book series i ever loved, Roman Mysteries. which in retrospect. has a lot. a lot. a LOT of issues

#i would go back to it like i have deltora quest but uh #i dont think. it will hold up.#theres 4 main characters. of the two girls one is flavia. a rich roman child #and then nubia. who is. a slave girl. and fucking. bought for flavia as a bday present #and it's played it off as ''flavia wants a friend and feels awful for this poor girl her age and so her dad buys her and they #look after/rescue her and teach her latin and then free her once shes situated well'' and it is VERY MUCH a white saviour story #that even had 6 yr old me like ''hm. this is immoral''#the series like. starts with flavia as the main main character and the other 3 characters also have their own storys and they team up #and somve mysteries but as time goes on the problem is that like. the other 3 characters are more interesting than flavia #lupus is a mute greek boy who had his tongue cut out by his abusive uncle and lived on the streets for years #jonathan is a jewish boy who lives next door to flavia and has storylines where hes forced to become a gladiator and at the end #of the series goes on an adventure to egypt to find his kidnapped twin nephews #and nubia goes looking for her brother who was also enslaved and forced to be a gladiator and has to navigate rome as an ex-slave #and black woman who was literally kidnapped and went through hell (also she. turns out to be an african princess later on. ANOTHER big thing #to unpack.)#but yeah from 6 yrs old to 13 as i read the stories i would get mad every time it cut to flavia #I DONT CARE ABOUT SUETONIUS OR GAIUS AND HOW YOU WANT TO DEDICATE YOURSELF TO ARTEMIS #OR WHATEVER BULLSHIT ROMANCE. GO BACK TO JONATHAN SEEING HIS OWN GRAVE AND COMBATING WITH HIS FAMILY THINKING HES DEAD #GO BACK TO THE TRAGEDY OF MIRIAM AND HER BABIES OR NUBIA GETTING HER OWN FUCKING STORYLINE PLEASE

#how to train your dragon #my posts #my art #I saw one (1) person draw her with short hair when I was like 13 and I've forever accepted that as my personal headcanon #Anyway who wants to hear my silly little dumb headcanons for her? Y'all don't? Slay #1. I'm pretty sure this one is canon but she takes more after her father personality wise. But I think she hates when people compare her to #2. Like a good portion of the httyd fandom- Zephyr is so mad about what happened at the end of the third movie. 'They left? Bullshit'#3. Extremely restless. Needs to be doing something constantly- particularly going on little adventures with her friends and brother #4. Her teen angst completely revolves around the fact that by the time her parents were her age they had gone on so many adventures with #their dragons and that she'd never get to have that #5. Doesn't fight often but she loves swordfighting as a sport #6. Everytime something interesting happens to her she writes it down in her journal. There aren't many pages filled yet #that's all for now #dragon riders second generation

i bulk made breakfast burritos the other day and i really need to write down my recipe so i can make bigger batches in the future. i wish i had a vacuum sealer or something tho, i wrap them in foil which works okay but towards the end of the week they get a little freezer burn… not sure how else to store them

ok anyway im leaving in. the day after tomorrow at like 2am so im just saying its tomorrow cause im literally just gonna stay up till then theres no point in sleeping. BUT two things. one i need to finish packing. my clothes are dry so i just have to bring them upstairs and pack. sort of stressed out bc like. i like my outfit i dont want to change it but everyones telling me its too hot for a leather jacket like i know!!!! but its my jacket :(

anyway i just have to do that so ill do it now and then…on top of that i wanted to get the draft for my ghost story done but i havent been working on it at all >_< ive just been reading comics the past couple days. so tomorrow. for sure. i will definitely work in getting the draft done totally.

but ugh im kind of nervous i havent seen these people in so long and im not great socially. also i dont go on trips in general so like. i hope i have energy for a full month yknow. i have a tendency of isolating myself when im stressed out but i dont have any space to do that…not that i should but whatever you know
