(thank you previous reblogger for the original tags, you're fantastic) Because I'm currently in Death Defying brain rot, I'm going with Dick for clone daddy. Either he really is a playboy or the persona makes whoever snagged his material think he won't keep close watch for the odd surprise baby coming out of the woodwork until they did whatever evil plots they had for said clone. Maybe pull a Connor used as a weapon against their original, maybe its Court of Owls funded, leaving it to people with more knowledge for a deeper plot. How do they find out? We can do cop out of Oracle with Tim as backup because I have zero patience and want to get to the meat of it. Or pull from the original tags and Jason spots them shopping because depending on how friendly Jason is with the family, how does he approach this? Does he know? Was he involved in the original raid? Minimal angst me is going yes, fringes but he was there picking fleeing scientists off with his non fatal rounds so he's in the know. Follows them until they hit the cereal aisle just to give himself time and as soon as the tiny clone (seeing Dickiebird that smol is kicking up major cute aggression) picking several boxes of cereal with all the seriousness of choosing a college squashed any doubts. Hears Danny calling the clone Castor and relaying everything he can to the rest of the Bats while trying not to give himself away. (Castor is the second-brightest object in the zodiac constellation of Gemini. With the fandom calling clones mirror twins in a lot of fics, I thought this was a fitting name for the teensy batling)

Danny clocked Jason of course, you don't get your instincts riled to pick up your surprise adoption kid only to go back to normal after. Hypervigilance especially when the bond is still fresh is necessary. Plus you can only be so stealthy in a brightly lit super mart with a cart that has a rattly wheel. Dude better back off before he leaves an eggplant among the vegetable peelers as a warning. Now to run off the tag that really pushed me to picking Dick is Damian attempting to honor his favorite brother by challenging Danny to clone offspring rights. Tiny stabby baby is looking all cute its enough to make Danny coo. If we're rooting around in omegaverse, maybe Damian still has that pup smell because he's young? Let's say 10ish. Danny's post-heat brain is still a little clingy and hey, free real estate someone let this whole ass child out unattended. Kitten scruffed and to the nest we go.

Now for my blurb, I'm thinking taller Danny, not full on Jacks height but close with Maddie's more willowy build. Insult to Damian, how dare he house such strength looking like a riverbank reed? And refuses to be properly stabbed! His father shall hear about this and oh..is this a nest? It's....soft like Alfred the cats fur. And warm. And there's purring? All his weapons have been taken by the cheating clone thief anyways, won't give them back after he somehow sucked them in? It would be smart to stay put and wait for backup at this point, the comms will pick up relevant information. Just wait for Richard to find both him and the clone. Who doesn't seem to be preparing for an attack holding that blobby looking plush (space squad boulder moon squishmallow!). And slowly falling asleep, foolish when an enemy is in their safe space. No matter, he shall remain observant even with those soft back rubs, oddly soothing when curled up against the purring chest. He can be vigilant through half closed eyes, the better to fool the others of course. Not sleeping, just lowering their guard. Naturally he's passed out along with Castor when Nightwing creeps in and all hell breaks loose.

Halloween prompts year 2 day 10

Danny groaned, blearily raising his head from the nest of blankets and pillows he had made in his apartment. He had smelled something strange.

Something strong enough to wake him from his sleep. Danny got up and stumbled to the front door, cursing his luck for getting a fever so soon into his interdimentional road trip.

Peering out of his open doorway he saw a little kid shivering in the cold, badly hidden behind two trash cans in the mouth of an alley. Danny didn't think twice. In fact he didn't think at all. It wasn't uncommon for an Omega to smell a child who didn't have the scent of another Omega on them and immediately claim that child as thier own, and seeing as his home dimension had exclusively Omegas...let's just say there's a lot of drama in family court and a lot of laws pertaining to this.

So of course the next thing Danny knows is that the kid was bundled up inside his very soft and comfy makeshift nest before Danny passed out.

For the next week Danny had this mysterious fever and he acted like a parent on autopilot, barely conscious as he instinctually cared for the little boy. He made them food and cut them up into tiny bits to feed his baby and if it was handfoods like pizza rolls or sandwich triangles, Danny would hold him in his arms and rock his back and forth, humming softly as his child ate.

Eventually his heat ended (note that omegas from his world don't have heats, they don't have alphas and so they don't even know what a heat is) and Danny was very surprised he has a child in his house. But he and the baby are very emotionally attached to one another. When Danny asked what the little kids name was (and man this kid was little) the kid stared at him in the way little kids do before muttering the world "Clone" followed by what sounded suspiciously like a serial number.

Danny decided, nah. His kid now. Sucks to be the bioparent cause Danny doesn't wanna share.

Somewhere in the city, the bats were freaking out. They had raided a lab and discovered not only had one of them been cloned, but the clone had escaped and no one knew where it was. Cue panicked parental frenzy.

Imagine you have a huge guilt complex because your family died in front of you and you survived. Years later, you find a kid wearing your family colours, without your consent, putting himself in danger/ being reckless. You confront your father about it, and he tells him that the kid has low self-esteem and self-destructive urges that could have gotten him killed, but that this life- your old persona, your family colours- helped, that it might save him. Imagine going to said kid, having just heard all that, deciding to give him your old costume and your number. Telling him "don't hesitate to call". In that context. Imagine him calling you, and you not answering because you were off planet not there not there not there. And then you come back and he's dead. He was killed, yes, but what was he doing in that warehouse? Impulsivity, they tell you. He went and knowingly confronted a mass murderer on his own. Didn't he know better? Why would he do that? He called you. You didn't answer. He was troubled before you left- they tell you some things happened, he jumped in front of bullets, they were concerned about his mental health. He called you. You didn't answer. He died wearing your family colours. He should have known better. Why did Jason go into the warehouse?

You gave him that suit. You gave him your number.

He called you. Why didn't you pick up ? You said you would. Would it have happened, if you just picked up the phone? This is all your fault. Oh god, why didn't you pick up?

mmmm musical cultivator shen yuan again. Feng Xuanlu, the Wind Song. He has this well-loved wooden pipe he inherited from is adoptive father that he uses on occasion. When the traveling day gets slow and he doesn't feel like singing, when he's stressed, when night falls and he's sitting around a fire with his troupe and they've all had a little bit to drink.

His hair is long and black, always tied up into a ponytail or a braid of some sort. When he's in camp he loosens it up until its splayed messily over his shoulder. He has crows feet around his eyes that scrunch up when he smiles. His eyes are bamboo green and his hands are rough and callused from years of plucking strings and work. He has scars on his back that he won't explain the origins of.

His voice is low and warm like a fire, it gets raspy in the mornings or when he's been humming or singing for too long. He speaks like there's sunshine dripping off his tongue. He speaks soft, he speaks and his voice takes up the entire room. He's spent over a decade hearing his praises getting sung and he still gets shy over it sometimes.

Whenever he goes into town he has to have at least three other musicians with him at all times -- not his decision of course, but the unanimous choice of his companions. Shen Yuan gathers admirers everywhere he goes, and his companions have long since learned that their dear friend and leader is completely unaware of it. So they have to beat off these suitors with sticks.

Fanfic prompt: during the final fight of windwaker daphnes didn’t antagonize ganondorf

And he , wind and tetra all came to an agreement that he can bring his people to Hyrule (or what remains of them because he was gone for a while)

And he quickly realized that the Gerudo and hylians cooperated enough that now there is nearly no full blood hylians and Gerudo

Because both were people and in enough desperation to throw race separation into the Dead Sea

Because there is no way both could survive by themselves (inspired by wind waker's round but pointy ear art style like they are SO round )

And now he has to drag everyone into Hyrule because he did say all his people would find a safe haven in his kingdom

And all the people are happy to go because living room is getting smaller with the rising population and Hyrule has a ton of land to offer

So many people go to Hyrule and the triforce wearers build the government up again

Tetra still has problems with ganondorf but she is also under no circumstances giving up her freedom to rule

So they just go and drag wind into the position of heir so that ganondorf has to give up the throne to someone she trusts with her entire life

Because she doesn’t want to be Zelda so he can be princess Zelda if he is this obsessed with fulfilling the king’s wish of a new land (she established the new land she did her part already now leave her alone destiny)

She does sometimes appear to throw in her five cents in during discussions

The Rito are happy to make peace but only if their savior who has saved their great Valoo ends up as part of the leading group

Everything’s going well and a small settlement has already been made and trade with the islands is going well

Ganondorf is insisting on reviving cultural traditions of the Gerudo tribe

And phantom hourglass was over in 10 minutes anyway so it still can happen in this story

Then linked universe happens and with the heir of new Hyrule just gone

Everyone freaks out badly because without the “princess” all agreements and alliances would be in danger

And a massive search happens

Everyone is pinching in because the new settlement could fall apart and the people can’t afford to lose their new homes

The Rito who probably consider the hero of the winds the next best thing after sliced bread

Ganondorf has to give the throne to the one who holds the name Zelda to appease the king (who hasn’t left and stayed salty over ganondorf living in his land

And Tetra and her crew are not going to lose their baby crew mate and she also genuinely doesn’t want to be Zelda

So when the chain appears in Wind's Hyrule they immediately get arrested for stealing the heir of new Hyrule

And time and the chain flips out when seeing ganondorf as the king of Hyrule

Because that looks like an uprising in the making

Time and ganondorf officially hate eachother because they remember each other

something about the show treating percy's use as only being to serve vex's joy kinda fucking hurts. like vex is distraught, she was in the stream and she was here, that's true. but they are framing this as if it's a romantic loss only and it's making me lose my mind. people don't lose their use to others when they enter a relationship. they don't just become somebody's partner. they're still a person. percy was a full person and vox machina is a family and everyone loved him. that was the point of tearing ripley apart in the original glintshore fight, they were nothing but pure rage because they just watched somebody they love die and at the end of the day, past the monsters and world ending threats everything is about their love with each other, as a group; platonic, familial, romantic, but love as a FAMILY. that is critical to understand. they are who they are because they all love each other, they love each other to the ends of the earth. and the show just. doesn't acknowledge that. percy died so vex could feel sad and that's it. truly what even is the point if nobody else cares. the death doesn't matter if nobody else cares. so percy's death doesn't matter.
