“Bullshit.” He slaps Cecil hard across the face. “You’re a-” He gasps in pain, doubling up as your foot lands perfectly between his legs from behind. “Fuck.” 

Christian drops to the floor, clutching his manhood, tears in his eyes. 

“Cec, you okay?” You reach out for him, and he practically falls into your arms. He nods desperately as you hug him. “I saw this guy grab you.” You’d been waiting in the small parking lot as Cecil got you both some snacks with the twenty bucks you’d given him. 

“Who the fuck is this?” You ask, punctuating your sentence with another sharp kick to the guy on the floor.

“Christian,” Cecil mutters. “He says I owe him two hundred and fifteen dollars.” 

“What?” 

“Apparently, when I bought some weed months ago… I said I’d pay him back fifty cents… but I didn’t?” 

“Where the hell does the other two hundred and fourteen dollars and fifty cents come from?” You frown.

“Interest.”

“Interest?” 

Cecil nods glumly, still holding his side. 

“Did he hit you?” You know the answer; you can see the mark on his face. 

Cecil nods again. 

“Okay,” You kiss his other cheek. “Don’t worry, I’ll sort it.” You pat his arm and then crouch down next to Christian as he groans in pain. You grab hold of his ear, yanking him so that he has to look at you. He lets out the most pathetic sound. 

“Who’s your boss?” 

“Wha?” He snivels.

You sigh. “Your boss?” 

“No, no one, just me.” He swallows. 

You scoff, and pull his ear harder. “Okay. So, where did you get the balls to come around and charge that kind of interest on fifty cents? Hmm?” 

He tries to shake his head and winces, fear in his eyes. 

“I’m gonna say, we’re gonna call this even. This time. If I ever see you near Cecil again, things won’t look good for you, understand?” 

When he doesn’t shake your head quickly enough for your liking you pull his ear up and down, making him nod. 

He sobs in pain. 

“Good.” In one second, you let go of his ear and smack his head back down onto the concrete with the heel of your hand. He yelps and doubles over. As you stand, you kick him again, between the legs. “That’s for making me have to leave the car.” 

You turn to Cecil, smiling brightly, as if you’d just finished tidying up a spilt drink. “You okay?”

He nods and lets you take his arm and walk him back to the car, still clutching the bag. 

Nerves settling in your stomach as you get in the driving seat, Cecil in shotgun. He’s oddly quiet. Fuck.

“Cec,” you start, turning to face him. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t-”

His hands are on your cheeks instantly, his tongue in your mouth. He moans sweetly, pressing as close as he can while he kisses you

His panting when he breaks for air. “Fuck, fuck, god, can we go home?” 

You nod, smiling. “What’s got into you?” 

He shifts a little in his seat and worries his bottom lip between his teeth. “I got a boner.” 

You can’t suppress your snort at his offhandedness, and you grin. “Yeah?” 

“Yeah.” He nods, smiling back. 

You glance down, and there is no denying the obvious tent in his jeans. 

“I got one the second you kicked him in the dick.” 

“You into dicks getting kicked, huh?” 

He giggles. “Only when you’re doing it on my behalf.” He kisses you again, a little softer but just a needy. “So fucking hot when you came into save me.”

“Cec-”

“You did.” He strokes your arm as he licks into your mouth. “My hero.”

Osaka Sougo: Oh, I was totally fine! I actually toned the level down since I have a secret code with Mitsuki-san.

Momo: Dude you keep dropping some crazy lines lololol what’s you guys’ secret code!?

Osaka Sougo: When Mitsuki-san asks, “How spicy is it?” I promised to reply, “Just a little!” especially when I’m eating outside, so we don’t alarm those around us.

Momo: What the hell, that’s so cute!!! It’s like a call-and-response (2)! I’m totally asking you “How spicy?” next time 🤩

Osaka Sougo: Yes…! And I will respond with “Just a little!”

Momo: I’m kinda sad that the shoot’s gonna be over soon~~! 😭

Osaka Sougo: Likewise, I really loved the set... The atmosphere you create is so warm, Momo-san.

Osaka Sougo: I apologize for the mistake I caused on the first day, the reshoot must’ve been an inconvenience…

Momo: Oh youuuu, stop worrying about that! 🥺 If you’re gonna say that, then I messed up a bunch too! You had to carry wine for so long because I kept reshooting lolol

Osaka Sougo: No, that situation was out of your control since your costume didn’t flow the way it was supposed to…!

Momo: Yup! Making it look like I was floating was much harder than I thought it’d be! 🥺 

Momo: That’s the scene where your character, who works at the hotel the ghost lives in as a waiter, yells out “Why do you keep interrupting me during work!? You cruel ghost, get out!” right? 🤔

Osaka Sougo: Yes… I’m not used to yelling, so my voice cracked a little… It’s an important scene too. The ghost was interested in my character, but I couldn’t stand the pranks he pulled on a daily basis anymore and I exploded…

Momo: But I really loved your acting! You were blushing right up to your ears, your hands were shaking, and so was your voice. You exploded with emotion.

Momo: That’s why I got more into my own role than usual, I think! I ended up responding to the waiter’s anger with extra sass, and I went, “What do you want me to do to pass time then, you stupid brat!” ✨

Osaka Sougo: Thank you very much… Your playful and mischievous tone was also very wonderful, Momo-san! You embody every role you play so well…!

Momo: Ehehe, thanks 🤗 I really like this role since it’s cute! 

Momo: It’s so endearing how he ghost actually wants to be friends with the waiter, but he just can’t be honest about it 🥺❤

Osaka Sougo: He’s a bit of a tsundere, isn’t he. If only he asked the waiter to play with him, things wouldn’t have escalated to that degree…

Momo: They keep misunderstanding each otherrrrrr! I totally relaaaaate!!!

Osaka Sougo: You and Yuki-san always seem to understand each other perfectly, but it sounds like you’ve had moments like that too…

Momo: Yeah, for sure! All the time actually. Yuki does so many things I can’t do, I can’t even begin to grasp some of it. I want to support him too, but sometimes what I think is helpful isn’t what he actually needs… and vice versa.

Momo: Most of the time, it’s just us trying to do something good for each other that backfires LOL

Very much enjoying your analysis. There seems to be a disconnect on whether Agatha kissed as a manipulative tactic or if there really as love there.

I’m in the middle on this. Agatha was crying when she kissed Rio. We know from interviews with Kathryn that Agatha hates herself for loving Rio. I’m just afraid that didn’t come across very strongly. However, I feel like my opinions are veering more negative because of all of the negativity 😂 your opinions are markedly more positive, so I’d like some positivity, please 😭

So, the trick I think for Agatha in general and even for Rio – or really, any character that's complicated – is this:

A few things can be true at the same time

Let’s start from a meta (Doylist?) outside-the-text pov first:

Jac Schaeffer loves ambiguity and complex characters. She’s positioned Wanda and Agatha as both their show’s protagonist and antagonist. She doesn’t see characters as set heroes or villains. She seems to genuinely enjoy people having their own interpretations, and things not being black and white or having a single definite answer.

In interviews I think Kathryn Hahn has also been careful to talk about how Agatha and Rio have a long and complicated relationship. If she had to pick one word it would probably be that. If she had to pick three words I think it would be "love, respect, and hate" – which she used in her recent interview.

And to be honest, I think all the interviews with Schaeffer and the cast have been limited in really digging into this relationship because they've had to avoid spoilers for most of the season as Rio being Death feeds so critically into their dynamic.

I get that people tend to have confirmation bias and focus on bits that fit with their world view so while yes, Schaeffer does talk about how Agatha and Rio fall back into the muscle memory of that love and the love they have is true, there's also the other side of the coin to this complicated relationship which is the hate, resentment, anger, and manipulation (mainly from Agatha).

So back into the text: Was Agatha manipulating Rio by kissing her? Probably yes? But that's Agatha.

And importantly, Rio knows this and that's who Rio fell in love with.

You know the ol' fable about the scorpion and the frog? Rio knows she's in love with a scorpion. Rio sees through Agatha's more obvious lies. She even finds a lot of them amusing. She knows she's going get stung and it hurts like fuck but she's also Death. In one form or another, she can endure.

I'm reminded of that Doctor Who quote: Do you think I care for you so little that betraying me would make a difference?

Was there love there? I like to think yes, there was. There are enough glorious GIF sets going around for you to fully appreciate it in the performance.

Here I ask: what's Agatha manipulating Rio for, with the kiss? Is she distracting Rio so she can more easily become a ghost?

The whole ghost thing would annoy and piss Rio off yes, but if you think about it, that's actually a win for Rio because she was genuinely upset seeing Agatha dead.

Yes Rio will probably be mad – she grieved for you dammit – but I think she'd eventually find it amusing her clever witch got away again. Rio wants to keep coming after Agatha. That's their thing. That's why when Agatha sets the cost of taking Billy to be Rio not seeing her ever again, Rio is crushed.

Agatha becoming a ghost is kind of an overall win for all parties really: Agatha wins by having Rio let Billy go, and she can continue to go after power and knowledge, and Rio can continue to chase her and they can continue annoying the hell out of each other.

I fully wrote the Dick crying on the floor, clutching drawings with the idea that batsis drew two versions of the same idea, him and his parents, and him, his parents, and the bat fam btw. I wanted to add that, but he'd be holding them with the drawn site to his chest so it wouldn't show, so I had to erase that.

By the time the Dick saga fully begins I fear he'll be delusional enough to see you sticking around a family named Grayson as a sign that everything is fine and you'll forgive everything since you clearly missed him them so much. He'll be deep in the hells of denial. 5 stages of grief? Nah. It's just denial.

This isn't exactly Nolan vs Bruce- but I have had a scene since like- chapter 13, for a little jab Nolan will throw at Damian, and I think you'll enjoy it when and how it happens. But to go back to the dad vs ...dna donor. That'll be another breakdown for Bruce, full crashout. Are people watching? The league? He doesn't care. He just needs to punch something so he can calm down, maybe cry a bit more- his baby had been with a murderer for years- and then the planning starts.

Now- If it's Brucie who meets the man. Nolan "I don't know who you are, son. But I know you're a whore. Stay away from my kids and wife." Grayson just lies and moves past, because he's a changed man- and he may have been bribed to play nice.

Brucie is flabbergasted- how dare- he's right- but still. He could ignore it, but he also could be petty, finding every way possible to be as close to his daughter and the other two kids(they're not his and he's pissy about them being closer to batsis than his own kids) pushing and pushing until, probably Oliver since the lil manipulative blueberry doesn't like this fool being so friendly with his big sis and completely ignoring him and Mark, just starts screaming and crying that the bad man(Bruce) did something bad. (The Bruce Wayne pr team wants to quit.) Be it either calling him or her sister something mean, or going the extra evil mile and saying to stop touching me like that pervert- the papers will have a field trip. Bruce shan't know peace, his kids were raised for higher society, to network with even the worst of the worst, Mark and Oliver? They'll point and scream stranger danger just to fuck with someone.

Now does this give Nolan the great excuse to punch him? Yes. Debbie is faster to play along, though, and she ends up beating Bruce with her purse, Nolan is resigned to a bodyguard post, simply dragging Bruce away under his arm like he's holding a cardboard cut out.

If it's batman, it's very much against either man's will and will probably end up in a brawl. Now the kids are split into the "Stop that" and "fuck his shit up" camps, until Nolan punches something and everyone is reminded that Bruce will break his fist if he does land a punch. Batsis and Jason intervene, sadly, but Bruce is being stupid, and Nolan is on thin ice with the government. He can't be seen fighting with another hero... again.

A lot of restrictions are about to be put on Nolan, so sadly, his hands are tied. Good thing his wife and kids are just as feral as he is.

Oh, interesting. 🤔 I'm going to separate my answers like this:

Cowboys & Law Enforcement:

I think you're so right -- Dean Winchester from Smoke Eater, my firefighter AU, would get along really well with Beau Arlen in Take Me Home. Even though Beau had a conflict with a firefighter in that story (the reader's asshole ex-fiance), he wouldn't hold it against all firefighters. 😜

Likewise, I think TMH Beau would also get along with Western/Cowboy Dean from The Honorable Choice and Outlander...for obvious reasons. Who doesn't wanna see a modern cowboy sheriff meet a true western cowboy? 🤠❤️

Soldier Boy:

He's his own category because...let's face it, he's prickly lmao.

Break Me Down version of Ben really only gets along with the reader (and his daughter) in that world. 😂 ...Well, maybe Frank and Loco too. But they're his subordinates, so it's a different dynamic.

However, Ben and Alpha Dean from Against the Wind would certainly butt heads, mostly because Ben is cocky as fuck and doesn't really care about making friends and being personable with people he thinks he's better than, unfortunately. The best the BMD reader can do is keep him civil with another "alpha" male, like Butcher or M.M. -- men he actually respects. 😅

BMD Ben might actually get along with Lost on You Ben, only because that version of SB has gone through a similar character growth. They would be able to find some common ground. And hell, BMD Ben would probably give LOY Ben some unsolicited parenting advice, especially where John is concerned. 😂

Also, I think Alec McDowell from Being Human would annoy the ever living shit out of BMD and LOY Ben the most lmfao. Alec's probably the only one who can match Ben's cockiness, considering he's a super soldier himself. How young and sarcastic and smart he is would just make him doubly grating for SB. 🤣💚

As for who would get along the best...

I think Midnight Espresso Dean would get along the best with Russell Shaw from Every Second Counts. ME version of Dean is essentially "normal Dean" in his 40s with a Latina girlfriend.

Russell is around his same age, has done some shady shit, has "seen some stuff that would blow your hair back," drives a Chevy Malibu comparable to Dean's Chevy Impala, LOVES food and beer -- oh yeah, these guys would hang. 😂💜
