I feel like I haven't seen anyone really talk about this specific scene yet but something about it really gets to me like imagine going through hell and back to be the best only to hear that these other guys are enjoying themselves and have, y'know, basic things like autonomy and somehow managed to be nearly as good. Jean starting to realize maybe everything the Ravens did was for nothing and genuinely wanting to know why he had go through all that but the Trojans didn't and is it unfair? did he just waste 3 years of his life? If everything was rewritten could love have coexisted with being the best?

AFTG x Haikyuu

Okay I have had an AFTG x Haikyuu fic WIP overtake my life. Is anyone interested in being a beta reader or bouncing ideas with me? I'm going slightly insane at the lack of volleyball Foxes AUs and I want to remedy this fact. The parallels are just so GOOD. It needs to be explored. I have created this side blog solely in pursuit of this goal.

I get that Nora has had 10 years to get a better handle on the kind of representation she wants in her books but the accidental implication that the Trojans are just queerer than the Foxes is taking me out. LA will do that to you I guess.

I have to say I truly just love in-universe outsider perspectives on the aftg series.

Trojans fans finding out about the lineup change. The other coaches reading the news and suddenly finding out one of PSU’s players killed somebody. Kathy Ferdinand fans who’ve never watched exy before. Exy fans who don’t watch the NCAA league hearing about the Riko/Neil beef. The ravens outside of the Perfect Court learning about Kevin’s transfer. The Minyard’s biological dad hearing about them and knowing they’re his kids, or not knowing and not giving it a second thought. Allison’s family. People who knew Seth before he went to PSU. The cops who were bought off by the Butcher in Baltimore. Bee watching Andrew break Riko’s arm. Pig Higgins getting the call from Wymack. Neil’s teammates in Arizona.

All these different people hearing about everything that happened for the first time, out of the blue, no context, no warning. I want to be inside of their brains.

AFTG Dating Show AU

I had an idea for a Dating Show AU and a Raven!Neil fic rattling around in my head for a while now and I finally got around to writing it. Here's the first chapter!

Title: fell for a match made in hell

Summary: Exy’s popularity is dwindling, and Ichirou has a bold plan to save it: an Exy-themed dating show featuring a star-studded cast. The lineup includes Kevin Day, the face of Exy; Allison Reynolds, the influential Exy socialite; rising star Matt Boyd; and several others, many hailing from the infamous Foxes Court.

For Neil, participation in this spectacle is the last thing he wants—but it’s not like he has a choice.

I gotta say that if aftg was real the foxes would be so popular with kpop fans because it's so easy to know everyone in the lineup. Seventeen, treasure, loona, iz*one and the Boyz all have more members than the foxes

Oh people are MAD mad over the Rainbow Crate AFTG box set… The dust jackets had mistakes. No title above the summary in the tfc one, the wrong summary of trk one, the lineup list had Andrew as a backliner and Allison as a stricker, the ticket-themed bookmark had the game date as 2014 instead of 2007.

Honestly I’m trying to be happy about it but mine still haven’t arrived, not to mention shipping cost 40-50 more dollars after the boz alone had been only $120.

And the admin just.. cracks jokes. Like honestly I’m normally not one to complain but the unprofessional lack of quality check was astounding. Not to mention that when people complain that their REALLY expensive product has SEVERAL mistakes their first reaction is to go “tee hee sorry mistakes happen lols :p”. Like I feel people have a genuine right to be mad at this one.
