I decided to start watching One Piece and I’m really sitting here crying over Chouchou the dog having his treasure/life purpose destroyed, and Luffy fighting a giant lion to get just a small bit of it back. More TADC Episode 4 spoilers because I wanna point out a few more things.

Let's see... how should I approach this? I know, let's start with Gangle taking her mask (that Zooble gave her in the beginning of the episode) off after she walked outta Spudsy's!

*This is her in her sad/crying mask, by the way.

This entire scene... First of all, THE LIGHTING, THE MUSIC, THE SLOW MOTION ANIMATION, ALL OF IT!! I LOVE IT ALL!

Feel free to correct me, but if I'm looking at this right, then this entire scene is her feeling free, free from not wearing a happy mask, free to completely feel... something, anything else rather being forced to put on a happy face all the time!

Something tells me that in her past manager job made her to constantly have a mask on all the time (except she wouldn't have an actual mask like in the Digital Circus). Even if it's for a brief moment, she looks, well I wouldn't say happy, perhaps more relief(?), that she doesn't have to wear the mask at that moment. (And there's most likely a lot more going on here that I definitely missed, so feel free to add on in the comments/notes).

This is more of a side thing, but I actually like seeing Gangle's drawings. In this one, we can see that she was inspired by a powerful, magical anime girl (like Sailor Moon). Perhaps this is one of her OCs, or her own persona of herself as a magical anime girl. (I mean, it's obvious from the training video that she likes manga/anime and wanted to be a webcomic artist in reality, but that never happened).

Personally, I like that Gangle can talk to Zooble, and how they're able to give her the comfort that she needs. Maybe Zooble can see themselves in Gangle in some ways, and maybe that's how they can relate/understand her in more ways than the rest of the gang can. (And the fact that Zooble never told Gangle that she's annoying or prefer her without her comedy mask on?? They're definitely more a real friend to Gangle than Ragatha could be.)

finished the oniisama e anime, it was wonderful. my favourite part was when mariko confessed her love to kaoru, then they got married in the timeskip and lived their butchfemme dreams together. such a beautiful end to an awesome show

I get that it's hard not to worry about numbers but like the views on the WoT S3 YouTube teaser really mean nothing even if Invincible has way more. Like, my mother-in-law and grandma both love the WoT show, have NOT read the books and likely will not, and they're definitely not watching trailers online. They're the kind of people that are gonna click onto their Prime app one day and be like "Oh, Wheel of Time is out!" But they're also never going to watch anything animated so the target audience is just not the same. If anything, one can hope that a really strong showing for Invincible S3 has some bleed-over effect into WoT either in viewership or even Amazon just committing to their show catalogue as an overall investment.

Mike’s flopping on the floor like a miserable and suffocating fish out of water season. His friends make fun of him. Eddie made fun of his clothes. Karen told Dustin he’s welcome at the Wheeler’s anytime which implies that Mike isn’t really talking to his friends outside of school. Dustin and Mike didn’t know when Lucas’ basketball game was, which implies that they haven’t really been talking to Lucas a lot. Mike did call the Byers but wasn’t able to get through. El and Will are have been in Lenora for months and Mike hasn’t really been able to talk to either of them. El’s been lying to him in her letters and writing and signing letters is a reminder that he’s avoiding writing the word love. Everyone’s telling him that he’s doing something wrong. This kids going through it.

first time i watched 'no exit' i was 100% in jo's corner like oh great it's sexist dean time . wheeee let's all watch her learn a lesson about hunting and he can be 'right' in a factual way but he'll be as obnoxious as possible about it the whole time . now i think what's happening here is that he has pretty much instantly samzoned her, as a college dropout from a hunting family who has a contentious relationship with her one surviving parent. EXCEPT that she's a five-foot-something twiggy barely-out-of-her-teens woman who has a crush on him and has never been on a serious hunt before, and he's dismissive/over-vigilant enough with the actual sam, a powerfully-built man with clairvoyant powers and over a decade of experience. bearing that in mind, his behavior towards jo is barely outside his normal realm of bossy and overbearing, and since he knows a little something about how sams will respond to direct orders, he still tells her mother she's not on the hunt with them so as to avoid the fallout until it's over. basically i think the whole dean thing, his most consistent characterization over the course of fifteen years, is his tendency to express even genuine protectiveness through the medium of 'bossy older sibling', and this makes him come off like the worst person on the planet. he frequently IS, but it's actually because of other things and has nothing to do with that habit in specific
