Just recently finished reading Yellow Dirt by Judy Pasternak, and wow.

It's honestly horrifying, what happened during the uranium rush. And it's infuriating how the natives were treated. How nobody took responsibility for safety, and how so many were lost to the consequences. And they're still fighting today for the damage to be fixed, and for compensation of what cannot be fixed. It's been almost a century, and yet, they still feel the effects. Children and adults alike lost to sickness, lands and water poisoned, homes contaminated, and although some relief has been provided, it's far from enough. I highly recommend giving it a read.

oh god, i have so many... (head in my hands)

the sorcerer and asteria always come to mind. breathtaking blend of toxic and messy. lovers and enemies operating on the scale of minor gods, always fighting for the upper hand in the most underhanded ways possible, each determined to destroy the other just so they can safely get closer, and so each terrified of the other because they know they'll destroy them if they let their guard down... i often picture them in a close embrace, straining to kiss above the knives they're holding at each other's throats. sigh. what a romance.

julie and julien are possibly the most horrific pairing of mine, but is it truly "toxic" if it's consensual? 🤔 actually, no... v and maia... i can't even talk about those two 😬 probably the one that disturbs ME the most to write, and that's really saying something. although v and anybody is... well. it's not healthy lmao

i've been cooking up a few newer wips featuring pairings colored by fantastic mindfuckery, but those are still underdeveloped, so i can't put them in competition against the AEC / NYX stuff yet

I’M STILL WAITING FOR AN APOLOGY FROM THE AEC - Craig Kelly.

"It’s almost 12 months since a Federal Court judge slammed the Australian Electoral Commission‘s frivolous & malicious prosecution against me as "unjustifiable and unreasonable"

The court also stated that this appeared to have been "a deliberate position’’ that the AEC had in its dealings with me.

The AEC abused their power. They engaged in Malfeasance.

It’s no small thing for a Government agency to use their taxpayer funded resources try and prosecute an individual in the Federal Court of Australia in a trial that lasted 3 days.

And yet they did this over an absurdity - arguing about the font size of a correctly worded authorisation at the bottom of an election poster

The AEC don’t only owe me an apology, they owe Australian taxpayers an apology for hundreds of thousands of dollars they wasted on their vindictive prosecutions against me the Federal Court.

Using an analogy from my old rugby days, I wish I‘d be able to catch them at the bottom of a ruck."
