Today I am being so normal about the fact that it is in-game text that the hero has twice taken an experimental “find your One True Love” potion and on both occasions it resulted in a friendship-themed dream where Tomix was there

Currently having profound Mechquest Reset brainrot because I looked back on how the DF Hero is shocked to see that Myalos is a robot dragon despite having met two dragonoids in his Mechquest iteration and how it profoundly drives home the fact that these are simultaneously the same person while being fundamentally different, having had vastly different lives, experiences and knowledge.

“I made my choices, to keep all of you safe from Envy’s schemes, and I don’t know maybe redeem myself for unleashing the spirits? But this isn’t about me, it’s about you.”

“I just…I think a part of me still doesn’t want to accept that you’re gone.”

“We never want to fully admit something like that, and it will hurt for a long time, but one day you’ll wake up and it won’t be gone, but you’ll realise that you’ll live, you’ll live for both of us, and that hope is what will pull you through.”

“You…you’re right. Thanks Tomix. Happy Hero’s Hearts Day. I miss you.”

“I miss you too.”

The Hero stands and leaves a small bouquet that they’d brought from the Forest of Infinite Terror in front of the grave. Ghost Tomix’s form flickers slightly and returns to that of a white elemental spirit with flowing hair, three sets of hands and the edges shimmering rainbow. Elpis smiles.

AdventureFriends part 1

So people seem to think you get Jaania/Tomix points if you don’t keep insisting there was someone else (after Tomix vanishes).

....Spoilers...maybe... so I’m trying here to use the keep reading thing.

You have to insist there was someone else, even click on the glitchy one that changes from ‘No Really, there was someone else!’ to ‘I guess we can figure this out later’ to get a Tomix point.

Without doing that my characters didn’t have enough Tomix points to get the good endings (some have finished book 3 Tomix saga some haven’t)

If you click on ‘I must be imagining things’ you get no points to either, it looks like.

If you click on ‘Sure thing, Jaania’ you get a Jaania point. (Even though it lists both it only gives ONE person’s points. Probably why they’re on the same line there.)

If you’re using the encyclopedia post in the forums as a guide to get good Tomix ending and keep on not getting that ending, (like me when I wanted to show my sister it)... that’s why.

End of Year Writing Meme!

I was tagged by @cherry-knight! I’m a little late filling this out but I got to it! Eventually!

Most Popular Fic: We Are Full Of Stories To Be Told! Admittedly, this is sort of a “by default” situation because it’s the only fic I got any of posted in 2022 but that still counts!

Favorite Fic: It’s We Are Full Of Stories To Be Told, again! The fact that it is by far my favourite of my wips is 100% of the reason that it’s the one I actually got any of posted!

Most Unexpected Fic: Delving into the unpublished wips here, I’m going to say it’s a tie between Untitled AdventureFriends2 Fic #1 and A Fistful Of Love And A Blade Made Of Faith. The former is a really fun concept that I’m having fun playing with but took me off-guard because, for all I expected AdventureFriends Edelia to eat my brain, I didn’t expect it to hit me with a fic concept that was so developed right away. The latter falls into unexpected because until that fic hit me, I hadn’t realised I’d managed to get a good enough grasp on Artix for a character study to be viable and it gave me an avenue to play with several different ideas I hadn’t been able to pull together on their own

Fics for the Next Year: So many. So many. I want to get at least five of my wips done and posted this year, not counting Part 2 of We Are Full of Stories To Be Told, which I also want to get done this year.

Next Fic I Plan on Writing: My priority is absolutely finishing and posting Part 2 of We Are Full Of Stories To Be Told (I need!! to!! finish!! it!! my favourite parts of this story are in Part 2 and it is killing me that I can’t yell about them with everyone else!! I need to finish it so it can be read and I can be yelled at for it!! The scene that caused the creation of the fic is in Part Two) but after that’s done, I want to sit down and chip away at How Our Bodies, Born To Heal and On The Horizon (There’s A Light) properly
