We are taking a Disneybound break because for me, this picture marks an important milestone in our house renovation. These canvases, created by @jacquesoby and inspired by the mural at Living with the Land is not only some of my favorite artwork in the house, but also has been in storage since September. Being able to put these up means we are starting to take upstairs out of construction zone and back into a home. All the bedrooms and bathroom are drywalled, insulated and almost completely painted! We are almost ready for me to fully take over and create all my princess decor plans! It’s taken A LOT to get here. A lot of time, money, energy, heartache, blood, sweat, tears and more. Day 18 of the #marchdisneyboundchallenge theme is New York City, so I chose the first Disney Broadway production, Beauty and The Beast! Embodying Belle, her iconic song “Home” from the stage adaption had become a staple for friends and performers alike! Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, already Broadway greats, solidified their role in the Disney Renaissance with soundtracks of Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and Little Mermaid, which would all become Broadway productions. Alan Menkens songs will return to the stage with the new production of Hercules, which will hopefully go further than Hunchback of Notre Dame and Tarzan. Day 16 of the #marchdisneyboundchallenge is favorite Parks land! This photo is probably one of my favorites and shows @jacquesoby and my interpretation of Frontierland and Main Street USA! I hand quilted that entire skirt and it’s probably one of my favorite pieces! I hope one day we can have another amazing photo shoot in one of the most magical places! Todays theme for Day 15 of the #marchdisneyboundchallenge is Buddy Bound, and nothing could be more perfect than Bert and Mary Poppins. Not mention, @jacquesoby is the perfect buddy to bound with. There is a whole team that has made Disneybound Dresses what it is today, and one of the biggest components is the love and support from one of my closest friends! Todays theme for Day 12 of the #marchdisneyboundchallenge is Oscar Nominated and I chose the 1950 classic Cinderella! Nominated for 3 awards including best song, “Bippidi Boppidi Boo” this became an instant classic and continues to be memorable to this day! Cinderella resonates through the hearts and minds of many, no matter the adaptation, including the 2015 rendition adding the iconic phrase “Have courage and be kind”. The score and music are something that generations have held near and dear to their hearts, my mother and myself included, making her the perfecr choice for today! Day 8 of the #marchdisneyboundchallenge is Women of Pixar and Merida holds a special place in my heart! From her flaming red hair to her spicy personality and even her stubbornness with her mother, when watching this Scottish lass with her impulsive temper and feisty attitude, there was so much I related to. I’ve spent a lot of time fighting, loving and learning parental relationships, and how to be oneself in the face of expectations. A long long time ago… In a galaxy far far away… For Day 7 of the #marchdisneyboundchallenge the theme was Star Wars! This was such a fun group bound we did when visiting Hollywood studios in 2021! Fabrics were designed by @rharrisonillustration, @jacquesoby and @acizaguirre, who also wore their designs! Our other favorite interstellar models were @misterzfox and @davidakazombie for some out of this world shots!
