It seems like Cosmo's canonically an age regressor. As often as he's the one acting silly and childish, he's a great caregiver too! (he literally takes care of his god kids, biological kid and even other creatures and inanimate objects like his nickel, Phillip)

My psychiatrist told me that it is super normal for autistic people to not identify with and feel their age, which is more common than you can imagine. So, the next time you, an autistic person, feel strange for being a permanent regressor and not being able to "grow up", know that you are not alone and that it is okay.

Oh the autistic hatred towards being infantilized (being told I can’t do something, I’m not old enough, I shouldn’t try a difficult task because I’ll get hurt, being expected to like something just because it’s childish, being called kid when I’m a fully grown adult, having my feelings constantly disregarded and ignored because I’m “too sensitive”, being made fun of for wanting to follow the basic social rules we learned about as children, being made fun of for holding onto things I loved as a kid, etc)

…vs the joy of autistic regression (pacing to music I’ve loved since I was little, finding stuffed animals with the perfect textures, chewing on pacifiers instead of my cheeks, regressing after a meltdown to soothe myself, enjoying media where people are kind to each other and follow rules, regressing to whatever media I want because I don’t care about or understand why society thinks I shouldn’t, decorating everything however I want to, wearing colorful, cute clothes and accessories, nesting with plushies and all of my essentials, buying back toys I lost to keep them safe this time)
