MHRA pilots ‘AI Airlock’ to accelerate healthcare adoption
.pp-multiple-authors-boxes-wrapper display:none; img width:100%;
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has announced the selection of five healthcare technologies for its ‘AI Airlock’ scheme.
AI Airlock aims to refine the process of regulating AI-driven medical devices and help fast-track their safe introduction to the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) and patients in need.
The technologies chosen for this scheme include solutions targeting cancer and chronic respiratory diseases, as well as advancements in radiology diagnostics. These AI systems promise to revolutionise the accuracy and efficiency of healthcare, potentially driving better diagnostic tools and patient care.
The AI Airlock, as described by the MHRA, is a “sandbox” environment—an experimental framework designed to help manufacturers determine how best to collect real-world evidence to support the regulatory approval of their devices.
Unlike traditional medical devices, AI models continue to evolve through learning, making the establishment of safety and efficacy evidence more complex. The Airlock enables this exploration within a monitored virtual setting, giving developers insight into the practical challenges of regulation while supporting the NHS’s broader adoption of transformative AI technologies.
Safely enabling AI healthcare innovation
Laura Squire, the lead figure in MedTech regulatory reform and Chief Officer at the MHRA, said: “New AI medical devices have the potential to increase the accuracy of healthcare decisions, save time, and improve efficiency—leading to better outcomes for the NHS and patients across all healthcare settings.
“But we need to be confident that AI-powered medical devices introduced into the NHS are safe, stay safe, and perform as intended through their lifetime of use.”
Squire emphasised that the AI Airlock pilot allows collaboration “in partnership with technology specialists, developers and the NHS,” facilitating the exploration of best practices and accelerating safe patient access to innovative solutions.
Government representatives have praised the initiative for its forward-thinking framework.
Karin Smyth, Minister of State for Health, commented: “As part of our 10-Year Health Plan, we’re shifting NHS care from analogue to digital, and this project will help bring the most promising technology to patients.
“AI has the power to revolutionise care by supporting doctors to diagnose diseases, automating time-consuming admin tasks, and reducing hospital admissions by predicting future ill health.”
Science Minister Lord Vallance lauded the AI Airlock pilot as “a great example of government working with businesses to enable them to turn ideas into products that improve lives.” He added, “This shows how good regulation can facilitate emerging technologies for the benefit of the UK and our economy.”
Selected technologies
The deployment of AI-powered medical devices requires meeting stringent criteria to ensure innovation, patient benefits, and regulatory challenge readiness. The five technologies selected for this inaugural pilot offer vital insights into healthcare’s future:
Lenus Stratify
Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) are among those who stand to benefit significantly from AI innovation. Lenus Stratify, developed by Lenus Health, analyses patient data to predict severe lung disease outcomes, reducing unscheduled hospital admissions. The system empowers care providers to adopt earlier interventions, affording patients an improved quality of life while alleviating NHS resource strain.
Philips Radiology Reporting Enhancer
Philips has integrated AI into existing radiology workflows to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of critical radiology reports. This system uses AI to prepare the “Impression” section of reports, summarising essential diagnostic information for healthcare providers. By automating this process, Philips aims to minimise workload struggles, human errors, and miscommunication, creating a more seamless diagnostic experience.
Federated AI Monitoring Service (FAMOS)
One recurring AI challenge is the concept of “drift,” when changing real-world conditions impair system performance over time. Newton’s Tree has developed FAMOS to monitor AI models in real time, flagging degradation and enabling rapid corrections. Hospitals, regulators, and software developers can use this tool to ensure algorithms remain high-performing, adapting to evolving circumstances while prioritising patient safety.
OncoFlow Personalised Cancer Management
Targeting the pressing healthcare challenge of reducing waiting times for cancer treatment, OncoFlow speeds up clinical workflows through its intelligent care pathway platform. Initially applied to breast cancer protocols, the system later aims to expand across other oncology domains. With quicker access to tailored therapies, patients gain increased survival rates amidst mounting NHS pressures.
SmartGuideline
Developed to simplify complex clinical decision-making processes, SmartGuideline uses large-language AI trained on official NICE medical guidelines. This technology allows clinicians to ask routine questions and receive verified, precise answers, eliminating the ambiguity associated with current AI language models. By integrating this tool, patients benefit from more accurate treatments grounded in up-to-date medical knowledge.
Broader implications
The influence of the AI Airlock extends beyond its current applications. The MHRA expects pilot findings, due in 2025, to inform future medical device regulations and create a clearer path for manufacturers developing AI-enabled technologies.
The evidence derived will contribute to shaping post-Brexit UKCA marking processes, helping manufacturers achieve compliance with higher levels of transparency. By improving regulatory frameworks, the UK could position itself as a global hub for med-tech innovation while ensuring faster access to life-saving tools.
The urgency of these developments was underscored earlier this year in Lord Darzi’s review of health and care. The report outlined the “critical state” of the NHS, offering AI interventions as a promising pathway to sustainability. The work on AI Airlock by the MHRA addresses one of the report’s major recommendations for enabling regulatory solutions and “unlocking the AI revolution” for healthcare advancements.
While being selected into the AI Airlock pilot does not indicate regulatory approval, the technologies chosen represent a potential leap forward in applying AI to some of healthcare’s most pressing challenges. The coming years will test the potential of these solutions under regulatory scrutiny.
If successful, the initiative from the MHRA could redefine how pioneering technologies like AI are adopted in healthcare, balancing the need for speed, safety, and efficiency. With the NHS under immense pressure from growing demand, AI’s ability to augment clinicians, predict illnesses, and streamline workflows may well be the game-changer the system urgently needs.

I only ask cause you usually seem to be pretty up to date on the goings on of this site, but what the HELL is going on with tumblr's CEO? Why are they having a meltdown responding to asks? What's the trans misogyny accusation about? Why is tumblr apparently being run by children?
Thanks in advance.
This is kind of a long story so this is sort of TLDR for brevity but there’s more going on here.
Some context if you weren’t aware; Tumblr has been accused multiple times by its userbase for fostering TERF staff members and covering for them when making transphobic moderation calls. Things like; an overeagerness to ban trans women for posting nudes despite not addressing nazis or bots for years, or protection of notable TERF users who flagrantly break TOS by organising hate campaigns. The users who collected evidence of this became huge targets for these “””alleged””” TERF mods and users and were basically hunted online for sport. Up until recently the “terf mods” take was considered a bit of a conspiracy theory by some who assumed it was more likely to be an automation problem mixed with transphobic reports.
This week: tumblr user predstrogen was recently permabanned (for a second time) following a mass reporting by TERFs. This, obviously, pissed a lot of people off, and a fairly routine “the fuck haven’t you banned the nazis yet??” ask was sent to photomatt, the CEO.
Photomatt, INSANELY, replied, misgendering her multiple times and defending his decision to personally smack down the ban hammer by citing predstrogens nudes, but by his own admission the far more heinous crime was this absolutely ridiculous post;
Matt has also contacted the FBI over this stupid shit despite predstrogen not living in the US.
Lastly, during this very public announcement on the kangaroo court hearing, matty drops this absolute nuclear bomb about Tumblr having some internal drama when they’d discovered an external contractor was A) a transphobe wielding mod authority to be transphobic B) criminally selling moderation (likely to TERFs).
Despite this obviously being on the record somewhere, this is clearly news to fucking everyone including myself.
It’s also worth noting that predstrogen has not been the only recent ban; several black people and black transfems have been instabanned after directly asking matt for accountability (the user i’ve seen specifically named was @rulerofpurple and his partner)
So, naturally, people are fucking furious they spent years getting gaslit by staff, who had been assuring us of their even-handedness, but surprise!!! Trans women WERE being uniquely targeted, and even worse, likely targeted by the people who they could never seem to deplatform despite constant death threats and doxxing!! And despite all this assurance that Tumblrs internals are now perfectly free of transmisogyny and racism, it’s pretty obvious to just about everyone that Tumblr staff are chomping at the bit to ban trans women.

𓇢𓆸 [4:14 AM] GOJO SATOROU
You glared at your phone, infront of you on the mattress which had been ringing for five minutes straight.
12 missed calls from toru☆ , it shows.
Your phone brightened again with a message
"Baby please pick up the phone"
You grabbed your rectangle and switched it off. You were never like this, never ignored the stressful situations, always confronted them but right now you were in a tight spot yourself.
You have been with gojo satoru the gojo satoru for 8 months now and you were happy, happier with him. But never dated before the sudden relationship made changes in your life which you only came to notice now. Now you had a person to remind you to take rest after studying, now there was a person waiting for you to cuddle him, now you saw places never seen before although leaving in this city for almost 2 years. Now you had conversations with your aged people that didn't end with just a small question related to assignments. Maybe, you liked the nows so much, this new change in your life that you side tracked from your goal, what you came her for. This was your dream university for which you worked so damn hard to get in, it took you two attempts to get into this uni , the first time you got sidetracked , had friends , you get swayed by them. The failure gave you a reality check and only you knew how hopelessly and desperately you tried again, completely alone fighting your depressed tired mind that you will make it this time and you did and you swore you would never repeat your mistakes and only focus on being the best student in your firm and get placement, a job , a peaceful solace life. That was your plan but then came gojo satoru.
He was in bussiness branch, you being in robotics and automation. But you both shared a few clubs and that was enough for the gojo satoru to set an eye on you. That was it, man had your whole schedule revised, your cafe order to you favourite place in the library. Initially, you despised him. He had everything you didn't have, got admission cuz he was rich while you rubbed your ass, unsurprisingly popular and surprisingly one of the best bussiness student for straight two years. You often wondered when did he studied and how much, did he even had time for it after his night outs . Maybe it was jealousy you felt but you don't know, your heart don't know what he his eyes did to you in the two years of knowing, from pulling away and pushing his advantages to grabbing his face to gently peck him from making a disgusting face when he was around to greeting him with open arms and snuggling to his chest.
But yesterday's results of your mid semester pulled you back on earth. Yeah , afterall you didn't belonged there with the gojo satoru who had everything you didn't and gained everything you couldn't. Unlike him you had to be consistent you weren't gifted, hardwork was your key. You weren't here to fall in love, you were here to be the best student. And maybe it was your insecurity but you always thought you were just his temporary infatuation, a fling, you thought it wouldn't last he will get bored of your stiff personality and leave you alone. But you were immune to being left alone what you feared was the failure you didn't wanted to repeat the pattern. So, you broke up with him and in the worst way possible on a text. Maybe it was intentional you wanted him to stop chasing you, stop loving you , stop looking at you as the most priced possession.
There was a knock on the door, you remained still but then the few more thuds had you standing on your doorstep.
"I know you are there open up"
" its early sato- gojo, go home". You gulped down your whimpers and spoke sternly.
You heard a dry laugh from the other side
"Gojo, huh?"
Then there was another thud on your door making you jump, this one was the loudest.
"Stop , you will disturb the neighbors! "
"You open the door and I'll stop knocking" he replied curtly
Sighing you open the door mentally readying your break up speech. But you didn't get the chance, just as you opened the door gojo was pulling you to your couch settling you there and then crouching down to your eye level and flashing you his phone screen.
" Explain".
You eyed his phone it was opened to your today's conversation more specifically your message of breaking it off.
You looked at him but immediately looked away.
Was he able to make this type of face before?
" there's nothing to explain, I want to break up with you"
He scoffed
"Why?"
"You are .. you sighed " I don't want to be in a relationship now"
"Should have thought before kissing me"
You glared at him
" I am not able to manage it all. My studies and our relationship "
Gojo cupped your face and sighed
"Oh baby.., you should have said so ,we can just study togeher its a win win, u see? we could plan study dates then ..hmm yeah thats a good change of pace, we can meet in the library and study or we could plan home dates too-
"Gojo" he stopped
"You don't get it.. i-i don't want to be in a relationship! I want to focus on my studies"
"Nobody is stopping you from studying and your way of studying is not healthy at all. it's always good to relax and don't worry about managing stuff I'm a part of your life now just like you are of mine, all I want is for you to be healthy and happy . who will stop you when you are at your limit-
"You are a distraction gojo! You are the problem if it weren't for you then I wouldn't have to go through all this again I don't want to experience that shitty feeling of being a failure!"
''distraction''
his lower lip wobbled as he tried not to sniff even thought there were no tears in his eyes.he was looking at you with flummoxed expression on his face.
you paused at his crack of voice and kept your head low.
''just leave please''
Nobody said anything and gojo got up and left without uttering another word and you remained still tears cascading your eyes which started to fall as you heard the door shut.

As you step into the sterile corridors of Wick Industries, the faint hum of machinery fills the air, a constant reminder of the scientific endeavors unfolding within. It's 2236, an era where the boundaries between progress and ethical considerations blur into a murky haze.
You find yourself here not out of choice, but out of dire necessity, your financial woes pressing upon you like a weighty burden. Volunteering as a blood donor is your ticket to survival, a means to secure the funds desperately needed to support your ailing mother and keep a roof over your head.
You needed the money, your mother's illness draining your savings faster than you could replenish them, while the relentless march of automation threatened your livelihood in the retail sector.
With each passing day, the gap between what you earned and what you needed widened, leaving you with little recourse but to turn to unconventional means to make ends meet.
A giant in the industry, Wick Industries looms large in the landscape of scientific research, its reputation as a leader in biomedical advancements drawing both admiration and scrutiny.
When news broke of their call for volunteers to participate in cutting-edge experiments aimed at extending human youth, you saw it as an opportunity—a chance to alleviate your financial woes while contributing to the greater good. Little did you know the true cost of admission into this world of scientific ambition and moral ambiguity.
Entering the facility, you're greeted by the sight of a bustling lobby, volunteers milling about in varying states of anticipation and apprehension.
The air is charged with nervous energy, a palpable undercurrent of uncertainty running through the crowd as each individual grapples with their own reasons for being there.
At the registration desk, you join the queue, your heart pounding in your chest as you inch closer to the counter.
The old woman behind the desk is brisk and efficient, her voice a steady rhythm in the cacophony of voices around you.
“Next,” she called out, an old woman behind the counter waved her hand, urging you to move forward.
“ID?” She spoke. Your hands making their way into your little pink hand bag as they shuffled to take out your wallet, waiting for the nod of approval before tucking your things back into your purse.
“Third door down the hallway to the left,” she directed.
Guided by her directions, you navigate through the maze-like corridors of the facility, the sterile environment and the click of your heels against the polished floors adding to the surreal atmosphere.
The waiting room is a sea of faces, each one bearing the weight of their own struggles and uncertainties, their eyes betraying a mixture of hope and trepidation.
As you take your seat among the other volunteers, you can't help but feel a sense of camaraderie tinged with unease. The steady stream of departures catches your attention, prompting a question to the person beside you.
“Why are people leaving?” You ask.
Their answer, though matter-of-fact, does little to assuage your growing apprehension.
“I hear the doctors are looking for a specific blood type within the volunteers,” the man next to you replied, his eyes going back to the bright screen of the phone he held.
Amidst the ebb and flow of volunteers, two figures emerge, their presence commanding attention as they make their way down the line of chairs. The older man's piercing gaze sends a shiver down your spine, while his companion's whispered exchange only serves to heighten your sense of foreboding.
When they finally reach you, the weight of their scrutiny feels suffocating.
The bearded man leans in to murmur something inaudible into his assistants ear, the man’s eyes flicker in your direction.
“Her,” he whispers slightly, their eyes lingering on you for a moment longer than necessary.
As their stares bore into yours, the man’s assistant gestures for you to stand, and you comply, feeling a mixture of curiosity and trepidation. With a barely perceptible nod from the older man, they lead you away from the crowd, down a series of sterile corridors lined with gleaming metal doors.
Down the labyrinthine corridors you go, each step bringing you closer to the unknown. The air grows colder, the atmosphere thick with anticipation and trepidation. What awaits you behind those imposing doors remains a mystery, one that gnaws at the edges of your consciousness with relentless persistence.
Finally, you come to a stop before a nondescript door, its surface devoid of any indication of what lies beyond. With a silent exchange, the older man and his assistant confer, their words lost to you in the deafening silence of the corridor.
As the door slides open, revealing a sterile room bathed in harsh fluorescent light, you steel yourself for what comes next.
Alone in the room with these enigmatic figures, you can't help but feel a sense of trepidation. Their welcoming smiles offer little comfort, their words ringing hollow against the backdrop of uncertainty that looms over you like a dark cloud.
"Welcome," the man with the clipboard begins, his voice a mere whisper in the vast emptiness of the room. "My name is Dr. David. Thank you for volunteering,”
As the assistant quietly slips out of the room, leaving you alone with Dr. John Wick, a sense of unease settles over you like a heavy blanket. Yet, in his presence, there's a strange calmness that washes over you, his reassuring smile and soothing voice momentarily easing the knots of tension in your stomach.
"Please, have a seat," he gestures towards a chair, his tone gentle yet authoritative. You comply, sinking into the plush cushion as he takes a seat across from you, his piercing gaze never leaving yours.
"Let me assure you, you're in good hands here," he begins, his voice smooth as silk. "Wick Industries is at the forefront of groundbreaking research, and your participation in our experiments is invaluable."
Despite his words, a nagging feeling of apprehension lingers at the back of your mind, a whisper of doubt that refuses to be silenced. Yet, you push it aside, clinging to the hope that perhaps this is just the opportunity you've been waiting for.
“I’m Dr. Wick—but please, call me John,” He gives you a charming grin once more, reaching out his hand for you to shake.
As he continues to speak, his words seem to fade into the background, your focus shifting to the way the harsh fluorescent light casts shadows across his angular features.
“Tell me about yourself,” he speaks up once more, trying to strike a conversation with his patient.
There's something magnetic about him, something that draws you in despite your better judgment.
“There’s not really much to me,” you chuckle softly, a pink shade flushing against your cheeks.
“I work in retail—heard of the small cafe Allure? Im a barista,” you say bluntly, as if you were having a normal conversation with your friend.
“Ah really?” John turns to you, his brown eyes boring into yours. “I’ll have to try it sometime, I’ve never been,” he revealed.
Your conversation starts to become more intimate, sort of like you’re speaking to a therapist.
"You're special, you know," he murmurs, his voice low and intimate. "There's something about you that sets you apart from the others."
A flush creeps up your neck at his words, a warmth spreading through you that has nothing to do with the temperature of the room. His proximity is intoxicating, his presence commanding yet strangely comforting.
“People don’t usually say that about me,” you scoff, rolling your eyes, yet you felt cared for, embracing the feeling of praise.
“A shame for such a pretty girl like you,” He jokes, rubbing his chin with his fingers.
You find yourself hanging onto his every word, his charisma and intelligence captivating you in a way you never expected.
As he shares stories of his past achievements and future aspirations, you can't help but feel a sense of admiration for the man before you.
But beneath the surface, there's a tension that simmers, a palpable electricity that crackles in the air between you. You can sense the shift in his demeanor, the subtle change in the way he looks at you, as if seeing you for the first time.
As the conversation lulls, he rises from his seat, his movements fluid and purposeful. With a slight smile, he disappears into the adjacent room, leaving you alone with your thoughts.
Minutes pass, the silence broken only by the soft hum of machinery in the distance. And then, he reappears, a small vial in his hand.
"I've prepared something to help ease the discomfort during the blood extraction process," he explains, his tone reassuring. "It's a simple elixir, but it should make the experience more bearable."
You nod, accepting the vial with a mixture of gratitude and apprehension. As you raise it to your lips, you can't help but wonder what exactly is in the concoction he's given you.
But the pain of the extraction process looms large in your mind, overshadowing any doubts or reservations you may have.
With a deep breath, you swallow the elixir in one swift motion, its taste bitter and metallic against your tongue. And then, as the liquid courses through your veins, a wave of dizziness washes over you, your vision blurring at the edges.
You reach out for support, but John is already there, his strong arms catching you before you hit the ground.
Your head throbs, the sensation reverberating through your ears as you grimace in pain, your face contorted in a grimace as you watch the overhead lights flicker rapidly.
Panic surges within you, your heart racing as you realize your arms are restrained above your head, the cold metal of the cuffs biting into your skin. Your feet barely brush against the worn tiles below.
"What the hell?!" you exclaim, your voice trembling with fear. Memories elude you, leaving you disoriented and bewildered.
Surveying your surroundings, you find yourself in a stark white room, its pristine walls offering no solace. A single door stands in the corner, ominous in its silence as you hang suspended in the center, the flickering lights casting eerie shadows across the sterile space.
Suddenly, the door creaks open, revealing Dr. John Wick as he steps into the room. Clad in gloves and his white coat, he exudes an unsettling air of authority as a wave of realization washes over you.
"What's happening?!" you demand, your voice trembling with uncertainty as fear grips you tightly.
"Hush now," John soothes, his voice calm and measured as he approaches you.
Despite your frantic struggles against the chains, he moves closer, his hand deftly manipulating a remote control in his grasp. With a click, the chains lower, the sound of metal clanking echoing in the sterile room as your body descends.
“I didn’t lie about how you were special,” he smiles creepily, now eye level with the man as he lifts your chin slightly.
“We just need to text you for some experiments, nothing too big,” he added, hot tears already brimming your waterline.
“P-Please get me out this isn’t what I signed up for—“ You whined, your wrists still trying to undo the chains that bound them together.
“I’m sorry but I cannot do that. You’ll be my little test bunny for today, is that alright with you, love?” He chuckled softly.
You shriek, tears already streaming down your cheeks as John’s fingers stroke against your jawline.
“You wouldn’t want to let your poor mother die now, would you?” He whispered, leaning into your ears as you grit your teeth, jaw clenching.
“Your mother has been transferred to a better hospital—under my industry. Resist and you die, let me use you this once and I’ll ensure your mother’s safety,” he’d add.
Before you are able to say anything, he grabs a handkerchief from his pocket, wrapping it around your head.
Your body stops shaking, your mother was at risk and you were unable to do anything.
He first took a knife from the steel cart that was placed against the wall across from where you were, his movements precise as you felt your clothing slither from your body, down your legs and eventually onto the ground.
Unable to resist, you stood there, crying, your makeup making marks on your cheeks as you shuddered from the embarrassment you felt as you were exposed to the older man.
“So young, so beautiful,” his voice tantalizing as he admired your curves, his hands starting to graze against your skin, the goosebumps visible from your fear.
“Don’t be afraid, it’s only procedures,” he teased, before pushing the button on his remote once more, your body lowering down as you gazed up at the man like a dog.
His fingers made their way under your chin, lifting them up slightly before he slowly undid the handkerchief.
“Please don’t scream, you’ll only make it harder for yourself,” he rambled, his lips now pressing against yours as you moaned in both surprise and disgust.
His tongue swirled with yours, the both fighting for dominance as he held your jaw in one hand, the other one starting to undo his pants.
John’s eyes glinted with a cold detachment as he advanced towards you, his movements deliberate and predatory.
“I promise, you’ll like it,” he drawled, his voice dripping with arrogance as he surveyed your trembling form.
You tried to protest, but the words caught in your throat as he pinned you against the wall, his hands rough and possessive as they roamed over your body.
“Don’t fight it,” he murmured, his lips brushing against your earlobe as he leaned in close.
“Resistance is futile.”
You could feel the heat of his breath against your skin, sending shivers down your spine despite the fear that gripped your soul.
“Please,” you whispered, but the desperation in your voice only seemed to amuse him.
With a smirk, he silenced you with a bruising kiss, his lips crushing yours with a ruthless intensity that left you gasping for air.
And as he claimed you as his own, you found yourself surrendering to him completely, your body a playground for his darkest desires. Each touch sent shockwaves of pleasure and pain coursing through your veins, your cunt throbbing with a mixture of agony and ecstasy.
But amidst the chaos, there was something else - a twisted kind of love that dared not speak its name.
“You like that, don’t you?” he taunted, his voice dripping with malice as he watched you squirm beneath him.
You moaned in response, unable to deny the twisted pleasure that his touch ignited within you.
With a guttural grunt, John released his load deep inside your cunt, his cock throbbing with the force of his climax. Your walls clenched around him, milking every last drop of pleasure from his pulsating shaft as he claimed you as his own.
“Take it, you filthy whore,” he spat, his voice dripping with disdain as he buried himself inside you.
“You like being used, don’t you?”
You moaned in response, unable to deny the twisted pleasure that his rough treatment ignited within you.
Each thrust was a reminder of your submission, a testament to the depths of your depravity.
As he reached his peak, his grip on you tightened, leaving bruises in his wake as he marked you as his property.
“There we go little bunny,” he sneered, his words a cruel echo of the pleasure that coursed through your veins.
And as he finally pulled away, leaving you empty and spent, you couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction. In his arms, there was no room for love or tenderness, only the raw, unbridled passion of two souls consumed by darkness.

CONFIDENTIAL
PARANATURAL AND TRANSDIMENSIONAL INVESTIGATION ADMINISTRATION
ANOMALY 20230823-EHA-TD-01
ANOMALY INTERACTIONS VOICE TRANSCRIPTION: ROOM 145H
INTRODUCTION:
This is the transcription of the Anomaly Interactions Voice Recording from the Anomaly 20230823-EHA-TD-01 investigation. The automated system records continually while the assigned room (145H) is occupied by a registered anomaly. Periods of time where no audible speech was recorded have been omitted from this record.
20230823-EHA-TD-01 was admitted to Prairie Skies Hospital (Bridgeport) on Sunday, August 20, 2023 after appearing on a local's doorstep the previous morning. Medical staff reported disorientation, confusion, aphasia, and possible dissociation. Results of physical examination were within normal parameters for patient's apparent age (estimated 60-70 years old). Arthritis, hypertension, and poor vision without corrective lenses noted. Patient's identity was not able to be determined upon admission, and comparison to local missing persons databases remains inconclusive. Patient was reclassified as anomaly and transferred to PTIA facility on August 23, 2023 after blood panels revealed high levels of xenoparticulates, typical of TD-type anomalies.

Horizon Lore Post
The Climate Victory Compact, contrary to its name, was not an admission of victory - it was a crushing defeat on all sides. The Great War acted as the primary driver for this, a massive, continent scaling conflict that saw every piece of military equipment utilized. Initially a proxy war between states, by the 2080s the Rus-Sino-NATO conflict had boiled over into full peer-to-peer conflict, with both forces making territorial grabs across Asia and Northern Africa. Resources were scarce, and the quest for continued extraction had come to blows. The Siberian steppe became the new Verdun, and NATO-Allied forces held their own for nearly two years. In the Middle East, oil fields were hastily burned to prevent Chinese and Russian forces from making a land grab. Lines were breaking on both sides, and the tunnel vision of conflict prevented the major powers from identifying the sheer degradation of global order. Nations grew tired, people grew tired, and the delicate framework that kept the planet together seemed to border on crisis. In space, battles raged - automated war frigates carried out their espionage and counterspace maneuvers, a cat and mouse game that had unfortunately broken the allure of space for peace. On the Moon, the great settlements locked their doors, and astronauts bolstered rifles as their home countries duked it out on the surface. It is unknown if any skirmeshes occurred on the lunar surface. Mars was silent, as it always was. Cities had been ravaged by natural disasters, one after the other, for so many years - and many were beginning to wonder if the end of times was truly upon them.
November 19th, 2089 was a day like any other. The US-led "Cavalier Brigade" was preparing to push through a Chinese blockade, potentially allowing for a small town's water filtration system to fall back into NATO hands. CENTCOM had it first, a brilliant flash had been observed by SBIRS satellites hiding out at GEO, roaring upward from the deserts of Iran. A missile had been launched - it's target unknown. In a quick ballistic arc, the missile would shed its first and second stages, before deploying a confusing volley of chaff - designed to confuse enemy interceptors. And then, it began to fall. Skipping across the atmosphere, the warhead sought its target before finally detonating over the city of New Dehli. 76 megatons would kill millions in moments, the largest wartime nuclear detonation since Hiroshima. A decapitation strike, the Indian government could not respond - and for a precious few minutes, the world hung in the balance. The Indian president, away for a UN summit, found his nation in ruins - an entire line of government destroyed. In a passionate speech delivered to the UN, he pleaded his case - citing the destruction of his beloved home city as a failure of the modern world. It would not fall on deaf ears.
Gradually, the war would lead to atrophy - as constrained resources made the conflict harder to keep up. Even with the advent of fusion power, the outdated equipment being thrown into the conflict could not be maintained sustainably. The last shot was fired by an M1 Abrams tank in January of 2090, as a 1,000 year storm ravaged the East Coast. Sheltering in the UN headquarters in New York, leaders of the world began to face what they had made. Superstorm Elena is marked by many as the final blow of the Rus-Sino-NATO war, later referred to as the Great War or the Dark War by Lunar historians. It is out of this 3 day storm that the agreements of the C-V-C were established, the creation of a combined, UN military for keeping of the peace, and the transition to sustainability projects with the hope of protecting a crippled world from slipping further into darkness.
