I forgot my drawing monitor's cord back home when I left to mom's. Luckily, my friend from USA had send me her old Wacom Bamboo tablet to mom's address some years ago so I was able to draw a little and guys.

Guys.

I love drawing tablet so much more than the monitor. I have had the monitor for many years now but somehow it just doesn't capture the right line vibe for me. My settings are the same but Bamboo does lines softer, rounder, heavier where as the monitor is refined, thin and calculated.

I think I'm going to go back to the Bamboo because while I have been happy with my art, I feel a proper, deep satisfied joy when I look at my art done with the humble Bamboo from 2007.

Perhaps you will spot a difference, too, when I get next the DHD update online.

Great news, i have a bit of unposted doodles of Grujaja cuz like i mention in other posts every time i draw smthn sad w him I cope by drawing cute or silly images. (and one other sad one oops)

the rest of the doodles are for my silly hc (honestly borderlining au at this point w the amount of images i've made for it lol) that caused this whole mess, those under the cut for the sanity of the people. [thumbs up]

is it bad that i know, for a fact, i would have the same desk setup as etho if i actually used my desk for computer stuff and not just for crafts (my current “desk” setup is my laptop on my bed while i sit on the ground, my bed is elevated enough that it’s basically at shoulder level when i’m sat)

also even in new apartment w/different wifi. still got booted twice from the bg3 multiplayer at random o-o even tho i dont have the same spotty issue my room had in general lol like my phone connection/wifi is better, and i dont think ive had games like genshin pause to reconnect. so the issue could just be my laptop. but also ive looked it up and it seems other people have similar issues with multiplayer so maybe there's no way around it.

but also! my laptop is a good number of years old now. and parts of it are broken [D key doesnt work so i have an external keyboard, c key works but is loose bc i was pulling keys off to clean them and i think i did that one wrong lol, trackpad sometimes doesnt work but i have an external mouse anyway bc is better for GAMING, theres a slight crack on the top right in the plastic casing framing the screen, every so often i get a bluescreen but that doesnt happen too often lol]

but also just in general, ive been wanting to look into swapping to a pc instead of a laptop with a billion things plugged into it, and to better set up my desk where i'm not straining my body so much lol. i was thinking about it earlier in the year but then i abruptly lost my job, so i put any big purchase thoughts on hold...

but now i have job! i still need to be mindful bc im the primary source of income for our rent while my partner keeps looking for work, buuuuut i think i could look into pcs again and at least start planning.... my partner did a pc build but HATED the process and it seemed really stressful. i also remember overhearing former coworkers talking about pc building one day and the one who's done it before i think said some people start off by buying a prebuilt pc and then just slowly building off that over time, like by upgrading and replacing specific parts, instead of putting a whole thing together at the start. which sounds less intimidating lol.

like theoretically i'd like to try putting a pc together sometime i think. but it seemed so stressful and awful when my partner did it and he regretted letting people talk him into it lol. there were some parts he wasnt sure if he did properly and all that, i think he was also having some crashes for a while, and also that sort of activity just isnt his thing. but ultimately he got it working! his laptop [which we got at the same time cuz theyre our gradschool laptops] was def showing more signs of breakage so he def needed it lol

so tldr i guess im gonna look into prebuilt pcs and set ups lol

NEW PHONE CASE ARRIVED TODAY!!!! I can FINALLY go back to having the same one I've had since approximately uhhh 2015? 2016??? I didn't have it for my last phone because the place I order cases from doesn't offer them for the Pixel 6a, and I haven't found anywhere else reliable that custom prints heavy duty cases that I like.

BUT!!!!! I got a Pixel 8 Pro this week, and they do make them for it, so here I am!!! WE ARE SO BACK!!!
