Slowly decends into madness/spirals/gets obsessed over something to the point where they destroy their lives over it

Here are other minor signs you might want to look out for (doesn't apply to all Mad Scientist):

Very pathetic. A loser, if you will

Is gay

Wears glasses

Has a best friend who is extremely friendly and also a poet

Graying hair despite their relatively youthful appearance

Can be a little bit silly (as a treat)

Note that not all Mad Scientists are actual scientists. The Mad Scientist can be disguised as something else and may try to trick you; do not be fooled. Look for these traits to identify a real wild Mad Scientist.

Remembering I can project my stims onto Jon Sims whenever I want so:

- He absentmindedly ties little braids in his hair when his hands aren't busy (as I type this, there are several little braids in my hair and I'm not entirely sure how and when they got there)

- Sometimes he blinks so hard it scrunches up his entire face

- When he's focused really hard on something, he rubs his scalp with two fingers

- Sometimes he makes his "I'm annoyed at you" face without realizing, especially when he's not actually feeling annoyed

- He clicks his tongue

- He likes classical music with big flourishes (I don't know exactly how to describe it, but this is as close as I'm getting)

Having hyperfixations is so silly bc I listened to the magnus archives in less than three weeks, drew a fanart of john and martin that was better than anything i've ever drawn before and i can guarantee that if this hyperfixation were to go away (which it won't, because of tmagp being ongoing), i would go back to barely having the motivation to draw stick figures

hiiii heres my qsmp stuff from my ipad :) its all really old now i don’t have anything during or purgatory since during is in my sketchbook and after that charlie only streamed like one more time before the server imploded and id moved interests in like october

they’re in chronological order from oldest at the top to newest at the bottom- and the tallulah and chayanne designs are so old that if i redrew them now they would look completely different lmao. (they’re also so old that i spelled tallulah’s name wrong lol) those are from before we knew all that much about them (at least for tallulah, i think for chayanne i just hadn’t watched enough streams) but the canvas next to it that didn’t pass the cringe test does have chayannes skull mask so i fixed that part RIGHT after that drawing lmao. the election doodles are from during the winner announcement stream and the charlie glitches are from the evening that stream dropped i watched his pov live and then watched cellbit and phil’s perspective afterwards while doodling it :) watched a lot of tubbo for a bit since he was always live when i was up and before anyone else went live so there’s frubbo as well :]

Interrupting my usual silly posts to talk about my fav Magnus Archives episode, mag 170

The first time I listened to this one, I had to sit down for a sec and just think. Because hoooo boy was it relatable. Since the beginning, I’ve related to Martin the most. His character means so much to me as a neurodivergent person. I really struggle to make those social connections with people. I’m shit at small talk and I feel like everyone is a part of an inside joke that I don’t get and no one will tell me what is going on. Which, of course, leads to isolation. Now, talking about 170, I’m not sure if anyone else experienced this, but the way this episode talks about memory hit me so hard. The way Martin struggled to remember things and went right back to where he started over and over again- that’s what having ADHD feels like to me. I constantly feel like I am forgetting something. Like my mind is running me in circles trying to keep up. And when I forget the most mundane things I just can’t help but wonder why I can’t keep up, why I can’t just be like everybody else. It’s exhausting. It feels like there’s no choice but to go back to isolation. “I’m not enough on my own” hits so hard. I constantly feel like I’m useless if I’m not helping someone. At the same time I feel like I’m making people feel worse.

But to anyone reading this who may feel stuck in the lonely, you are seen. There’s hope for us all <3

So do you ever think about Jon embracing being non human and becoming a worse but much much happier version of himself or are you normal

I am thinking about Jonathan Sims having a fraying connection with humanity All Of The Time. Jon who is drawn to the Eye not just because he needs to know but because being an Avatar just feels Right. Jon who has always struggled to connect with the people around him. Jon who feels he was never human in some fundamental way to begin with, always reaching for all the things humans are supposed to be that he has never been. Jon eternally caught between the knowledge that if he ever stops trying he can only hurt the people around him but if he never stops trying he will always be crushed under the weight of his own stifling humanity. Jon shedding his false skin and feeling nothing but relief even though he knows he is going to hurt people now, and more than ever before, and he is not ever going to stop because the chains are gone and they can’t be put back. This is because I am extremely normal and have no problems at all.

(I think there’d probably be some good Jon/Jonah parallels here if we had ever gotten to see Jonah as he was just starting out. Like genuinely do you see the Vision?)

(I do believe this post is like. Maybe the most articulate I have ever been on the subject. Do you fucking know how much “a tragic loss of life, etc. etc.” fucking Haunts me? I don’t have the words to explain it now and I don’t think I did before either but it changed my brain chemistry please I don’t know what to say but I desperately need to say it.)

I thought there was something cool to say about how two popular canon ace characters are either horror or horror adjacent (Jon from The Magnus Archives and Alastor from Hazbin Hotel) but they're not treated as a monster stereotype due to their asexuality but then I had to go to work and lost the train of thought so idk what more I was going to say tbh I just love them both

This man is so autistic
