I am a fan since: Forgot what year it was but I remember ME2 had already been out for a while before I bought ME1. But I caught up quickly and got to experience the release of the Arrival DLC in real time. :D

Favourite game of the series?: It's hard to pick between 1 and 2, but I'll say 2 because the concept of loyalty missions is MY JAM. Also ME2 is my favorite graphics-wise, it's got that high contrast I love so much. (hate the simplified skill trees though)

MShep or FShep?: Most of my Sheps are fSheps because the character creator for mSheps isn't versatile enough for me. :( Where's the long hair! Let me look impractical!

Earthborn, Colonist or Spacer?: I might slightly prefer Earthborn. I enjoy playing characters who've had a rough start in life and made some bad decisions, but grew up to become decent people anyway.

Biotics or Tech: Can't pick, I like variety!

Paragon or Renegade: peace for everybody in the galaxy :') But I reeeaally love the Renegade eyes so I do have some mean Sheps as well.

Favourite Class: I used to main the Infiltrator class but in my most recent run I really enjoyed the Adept. Hard to pick a favorite but I do know my favorite class is NOT the Sentinel, it always feels clunky to me somehow.

Favourite Companion: Tali or Javik. Kaidan and Thane are nearby too. Tali's character development feels very natural and wonderful to me on every playthrough and I always love to see it. Javik is a fave because he's haunted and completely alone and that combo always hooks me like, I MUST see to it that this sad man has at least one nice thing in his life.

Least favourite Companion: It's the writers' fault but Liara. It gets really old when the same companion treats you like her love interest in all 3 games no matter what. I haaaate forced hugs in roleplaying games, don't put me through that, it'll ruin the character for me.

My squad selection: In my most recent playthrough it was unsurprisingly Javik and Tali. But I also ran with Vega quite often in the early game and I kinda missed him in the end game, haha.

Favourite In-game romance: Kaidan, especially with mShep because I really enjoy a slow burn of several years. 🔥

Other pairings I like: I am motioning at my blog and presenting to you Tazzik and the Shadow Broker...... no i don't have anything else to offer at this time

Favourite NPC: I like all these shady-ass salarians like Anoleis and Jaroth and Maelon and Linron (yes) (no i'm not defending her, i just find mean characters interesting sometimes) and Chorban and probably others. Valern isn't all that shady but still a fave. Charn! And Balak, I always look forward to finding out how my Shepard reacts to him. Zaal'Koris vas Qwib-Qwib I always loved you and I knew you were the best admiral before ME3 ever happened

Favourite Antagonist: the Shadow Broker, I was so into the mystery in ME1 and man I was not disappointed when we got the reveal. I would have loved to learn more about his early life.

Favourite Mission: ME2's Suicide Mission because I lovvve how it's a culmination of all your previous actions. It felt really scary and chaotic on my first playthrough and like anything could happen. Now I know all the mechanics so nothing surprises me, but I still look forward to seeing every little detail play out.

Favourite Loyalty Mission: Tali. Also Mordin. And Samara, ugghhh I love Omega and I love playing bait uwu

Favourite DLC: Hmmm I love about half of LotSB very much but I might like Bring Down the Sky more as a whole? The mood is great, it's not super long, and nothing about it annoys me. :D I've only played the Leviathan DLC once so far so I'm not confident enough to call it a fave yet but I liked it a lot, too.

Control, Synthesis or Destroy: I just wanted an ending where we finally talk the Reapers down and they go "yeah u right actually, let's not fight anymore. :( handshake?". All this star child borderline magic stuff is kinda goofy to me. I've picked Destroy almost every time tho.

Favourite Weapon: Recently enjoyed the Blood Pack Executioner... Historically I've probably used the Widow the most. Also I LOVE the way the Revenant looks but I can't stand using it myself lmao. My hand hurts just thinking about it.

Favourite Place: nnnoooo there's so many good places. I adore the Shadow Broker's ship, first of all. Such a cool concept. Noveria for the snow and miserable people. Feels like home. I loved visiting the Migrant Fleet! But my absolute favorite place is probably Omega because it's so rough yet there's still a weird sense of community.

A quote I like: The first that came to mind is "I have a home." Idk, I don't really remember quotes unless they're repeated over and over and by that point I start hating them.

12/7/2024 - V/H/S/BEYOND

It's surprising that this is the first movie with a central theme beyond just Scary VHS Tapes. Styling the film as its own documentary which featured each short as evidence for its main thesis was a creative way to actually tie each short together like the first two movies tried to do. Overall one of the more solid VHS films.

Stork wasn't the best start, as it felt way more like an action film than horror, due to it centering on a tense police raid, and the use of zombies once again not really doing much. However once the climax came and revealed the true monster of the story, then things were a bit more interesting. If anything it was a bit comedic seeing how the story totally u-turned its premise.

Dream Girl was alright, I don't really have much to say about it. The setpiece was interesting at least, you don't see a whole lot of Bollywood rep outside of itself.

Live and Let Dive was a cool idea and made good use of the Alien theme of the film, and the portion spent skydiving and watching everything in chaos around the focal character was very fun to see. Once things got on the ground the fun of the core concept was a bit lost though, and the effects of the Alien weren't great. I liked it overall though.

Fur Babies was alright, it didn't fit the film's theme really but it was enjoyable to get another mad scientist story after largely being absent from the series. The short was one of those that are pretty light on story and just an avenue to show some evil visual, but in this case that was a decently effective approach.

Stowaway was the clear winner of the pack though, and up there as one my favorite VHS shorts. It's pretty understated for the most part, lacking a specific monster or antagonist even, but has a strong focal character and a good body horror concept towards the end. Its more restrained approach was welcome among VHS's catalogue, and its more tragic tone made it quite memorable and impactful.

Okay, now that I'm back on my actual account...

The premise of MTMtE (More Than Meets the Eye) is like. The war is over, they have made a very awkward peace because of a lot of bullshit (there's a long leadup to it all and I think I can find you a link to just all of it in chronological order plus a list of what issues to skip because there were a lot of comics and some of them were not that great, but honestly I got into the comics through MTMtE and I was mostly fine, it's pretty self contained) but some of them just can't sit still, so they get a ship called Lost Light and go off on A Quest to find this mythical group of knights for whatever reason.

So they get a lot of oddballs and weirdos on board (not all that many Decepticons tbh, but they do eventually just get motherfucking Megatron as a co-captain, so that's neat).

Cyclonus is one of the original crew. He's technically neutral (he missed the whole war due to multiverse shenanigans) but he would make a really good Con.

He has an actual legit slow-burn romance with this harmless minibot they foist on him as a roommate, it's kinda neat.

The others I mentioned are Pharma:

If medical malpractice was a person, it would be him. He's one of the recurring antagonists during the comic. Half of his personality is that he's very pissed at his ex.

And the DJD (Decepticon Justice Division) is this group of violent torturers and Megatron-fanatics who used to hunt down deserters and traitors and whatnot and execute them in various ways. They are Not Happy that the war is over.

Sadly, most TF media outside of the comics is aimed at younger audiences, even if they do tend to sometimes gesture at interesting topics, but the new movie is pretty good. The humor was hit and miss for me, but the drama and action was well done imo. It's an origin story/new reboot, so everyone is young and dumb, but the central drama is lifelong friends to bitter enemies and that part was very well executed. Doomed yaoi leading to a divorce so bad it causes a civil war, just an average day on the job.

From the older series, TF:Prime was aiming at a bit more serious tone, had a decent run with a competently executed ending so it's pretty self-contained and the obligatory human kids are the least annoying they've ever been probably. It has Steve Blum playing Starscream as the most neurotic diva on high heels you can imagine.

They also had some unique designs that are holding up pretty well for a show that's like a decade old now.

It does show its age in the fact that it has a zombie shtick. It was made in the early 2010s when everything was zombies.

HI TC!!! Oh man, I can see why u said I'd be into the DJD, they're giving IVth Legion Vibes 👁️👁️👁️ and Pharma too, very hot oh my god...

I'm not sure I have it in me to get into such a large franchise, but I might check out the new film sometime!

BL Thoughts (review…?) #1:

90 chapters with about 80 chapters of main story and 10 of extras!

I started reading this one like in the evening bc I was looking for smth extremely brain dead — hence the active choice to read MTL. I find that mtl is just the fast food of webnovels. It’s so easy to consume and mind numbing that I read it to bed gnjghvfjdkssss

It’s abt an MC with a small cub orphanage in an interstellar world who has downloaded this virtual lover game and has to pretend to be his lover — amused, the MC continues to play the game, only to find out the virtual lover has real life effects and ends up face slapping everyone who gets in the MC’s way.

I was so entertained by how many random arcs of things the MC would do — cooking, gaming, cub raising, singing, and streaming — and seeing random antagonist characters get out in their place scratched the usual trashy itch of face slapping bl.

I’m also just a trashy reader who likes the bl trope of online NPC lover is actually real sooo im pretty biased in enjoyment

The game scenarios featuring the ML were super funny, but sometimes they would only converse for maybe a scene while switching in and out ( I really wanted to see the ML more he was the typical attractive ML and I still ate it up) of the real world

Ok but the crazy part is I read it SO casually and by the end I was highkey tearing up from the attachment I built on the characters. Like the mc is so lonely 🥹🥹and he misses his parents so much and it randomly just kinda bludgeons u in a chapter where he just like mourns that his parents aren’t alive and he’ll never see them again 😭😭😭😭

Ignoring the fact that they were alive all along lol and got not even a single extra chapter cameo …… lfmaooooo

The ML was highkey decently fun and a chill break from the usual toxically obsessed “u are the only reason I don’t destroy this world” type deal… ok kinda not really lol!!! But but he actively worked on doing good for the world as it’s like AI ruler or whatever. The plot kinda cracked me up that it was a reversal of evil AI good government lolollllfhfhjfdjddds

The twists and overarching plot were very consistent and in line with what I expect from an 80 chapter wbenovell I really liked em!!

The worst part is despite how mediocre / rough the story was it still got me sniffling with tears for a few chapters near the end, bc I got really attached to wanting to see the MC succeed. It really felt like he deserved happiness bc it came across very well that he had been struggling for a long time before the ML came around 💗💗

Anyways blah blah no stakes ever blah conflicts non existent and could get easily bored binging blah blah ml and mc don’t actually have chemistry or personalities blah blah blah the usual stuff lol

pretty decent read overall would never subject someone to it

doing some more ncr missions is reminding me of the time i spent doing wow missions like. i see the formula here. but it only impresses on me how much better fnv executes it than the wow version? maybe the deeper missions are better but i played a decent amount and its just a diszying experience in wow. it usually feels repetitive, its not linear so it can be easy to get turned around or lost, and bc the point is that the world is sprawling and vast u cant tell as strong of a story. like i get how this kind of gameplay can be someones thing and it just isnt mine but the thing that really gets me is the writing quality. most of the wow missions i get are so . nothing. in terms of the writing i can get out of it. big monster bad. need medicine supplies. *random intricate army politics*. its so banal and repetitive and without themes. wow actually FALLS BACK on lazy stereotypes that are the bedrock of warcraft lore so much more than warcraft iiis campaign even. at least wc3 tried to humanize thrall and paint him as intelligent and kind and charismatic, proving wrong the stereotype that orcs are hulking dumb brutes (and kf course, that has implications for how orcs as a fantasy trope widely and in wc3 specifically are basically caricatures of black and brown people). and sure there were campaign missions in wc3 that DID still fall back on that easy stereotype and its worth criticism obvsly but at least i had THRALL. in wow u can fall down a mission rabbit hole that just NEVER addresses this but still uses cheap tropes and stereotypes to fill out the antagonist for their mini mission. the quality of the writing is just so. it rlly has nothing to say most of the time. vs EVERY MISSION ive done in fallout has had a character who felt thought out and three dimensional, has had SOME sort of interaction with the greater themes of the game, has SOME sort of interesting message or idea. wait now i wanna just list missions and thoughts

Honestly, this movie is in many ways where South Park truly started to come into its own. Yes, the pre-movie episodes were fun, quirky, and had a certain charm, but this really marks the point where Matt and Trey had finally cracked the code. Basically, this may be the one cartoon that actually got better rather than worse after the movie (cough-SpongeBob-cough).

In addition, this is arguably the first time we see Kenny's more notable and heroic qualities really emphasized, which will naturally become a bigger part of his character in subsequent seasons.

We also start really seeing the socially conscious, activist side of Wendy start to take form here. This, too, would become a more significant part of her character moving forward, allowing her to develop a real character and personality outside of just being Stan's girlfriend and love interest.

This is also where Satan's character starts falling into place as a pretty decent guy stuck in a really crappy job and position. Also helps that having the most sympathetic antagonist be SATAN also helps cement the show's knack for subversion.

And while Matt and Trey themselves have retroactively expressed regret that they didn't use him more in this film, BL&U nonetheless planted the seeds for Butters both directly and indirectly. Besides his one notable moment-touching Cartman and going "ooh" at touching somebody who saw the Terrence & Philip movie, which in turn would foreshadow Butters and Cartman's future dynamic, it was also during the making of this movie that Matt and Trey got trapped in a little room with Eric Stough, an experience that would inspire "Two Naked Guys In A Hot Tub" and bring to life one of the show's most beloved and iconic characters.

In general, you really start to see the writing start to sharpen here. Some will point out that this movie's plot is largely similar to that of Season One's "Death", which also sees the parents protesting Terrance & Philip. However, while both hit a lot of similar beats, the movie really takes its time with the premise, handling it much more thoroughly than the episode did. You really start to see the show's signature vulgarity engaged in a much more thoughtful matter than before, in turn showing Matt and Trey having finally figured out how to balance the crudeness and satire.

Sure, it would have been interesting to see Jesus or Damien have a more active role, but I understand why they don't-it just wouldn't have fit within the story this film was telling.

Would I have liked to see Pip have at least one or two lines (especially since he and Wendy were by far the most prominent kids besides the main four early on)? Yes, but again, it doesn't truly detract from the story.

Hell, do I wish Gregory and Christophe had carried over into the show proper (Christophe's split-second cameo in "Two Naked Guys In A Hot Tub" doesn't count)? Totally, but once again, that has nothing to do with the movie. If anything, it speaks to the film that new characters created for it left that much of an impression on fans ever twenty five years later.

And while it's kind of a shame that this was when most of the kids hadn't really been fleshed out yet, again, it doesn't truly hurt the film.

Overall though, this really was and is a watershed moment for the show and franchise, showing that it wasn't simply a passing fad. It truly had legs to stand on, and could be more than what many dismissed it as.

TL;DR: this movie rules.

the movie is genuinely perfect. it blows the entire series out of the water. the music if phenomenal, the plot is solid, everything about it is so good. it's my true love when it comes to this media. i like the show, but i love the movie.

a few things:

1. despite not liking the creators of the dsmp anymore, I don't actually hate most of them. [the ones that are particularly unsavory fall outside of this of course] so all that I'm saying i truly mean in a critical sense towards the story, its also just all purely my opinion as someone who enjoys fictional and fantasy stories and who like criticizing works to see what it does well and what it doesn't do well

2. for clarification I'm going to use the c![name] to indicate when I'm talking about the characters. Don't get me wrong, I think its annoying too but its the only way I'm gonna be able to write this thing without getting something across the wrong way yknow?

3. I stopped watching the streams after November 16th, [save for one Techno one but I closed out after a particularly bad story beat lol] and so all information coming afterward is all second hand from either me seeing people on twt talk abt it or people dming me. All i really know is up to dream's imprisonment and some stuff past that.

4. This is mostly aimed towards the "main" story, so stuff abt the badlands, eggpire, and whatnot are briefly mentioned.

anyways uh, i'll try to be brief but also include enough information to get why i feel the way i do on some stuff across

A. Performances Alright obviously these people are all streamers, so obviously they might not be the best actors, and hell no one is even asking that of them. However, when you're telling a story that's based on the audio with the visuals kinda coming to a second, it's gotta be pretty strong. I will say, some of the best actors in my opinion are Wilbur, Tommy, and Tubbo. I would include Ranboo but I never watched any of his story bits or story streams so I can't say much. Wilbur and Tommy are excellent in selling their character's emotions and feelings, when I watch the stream I don't feel like I'm watching an rp but an actual thought-out story yknow? And one of my favorite Tubbo examples was in the Hog Hunt video whenever Techno attacked him, he sounded genuinely afraid and I believed everything his character was feeling.

However, unfortunately, not everyone is gonna be that good. And I'm gonna say it; Dream and Techno have to be the worst out of the entire cast. I understand Techno's whole character is this monotoned badass, however, when really emotional moments hit I feel like he never lets that fall, and a lot of intense moments just ring hollow. And I'm sorry but Dream's attempts at being intimidating leave me laughing whenever I watch them. It feels like he watched that one scene from The Marriage with Adam Driver and Scarlett Johannson and said "Oh this is what good acting looks like! Just yelling." His whole "I don't give a FUCK about Spirit!" speech isn't as great as people keep making it out to be. And whenever he tries to act coy when being a villain it feels like a guy reading the script for the first time, a bit like he's trying too hard. I have more problems with his character but his portrayal certainly doesn't help.

Everyone else is fine, and I don't feel strongly either way about a lot of them.

B. The "Lore" Okay first off, I can't be the only one who thinks it's silly that people are calling the dsmp's story "lore" when it's not, it's the fucking story. Lore indicates backstory to either the world or the characters, which a lot of the streams don't really pertain to. This is a really petty section but god it's a weird pet peeve of mine.

Other than the misusage of "lore" vs "story", the actual lore and world-building of the world are so lackluster that new elements can be introduced whenever and it often feels cluttered or not well thought out at all. And here's the thing, I feel like if the writers sat down just for a few minutes to establish world rules and general history, a lot of this could be solved! but so much is made up on the spot that it starts to feel like they're grabbing at straws to keep people invested, trying to reach that next high and intense story beat without actually earning it.

C. The Egg / Eggpire This is a pretty minor note since I was only invested in the Egg storyline for a little bit, but god it's so underused that it's almost embarrassing. Bad has provided this super interesting antagonistic force that's infecting the SMP, can control people, and who one of our main character is immune to, and it's just never used or even talked about again? Now I understand if he wanted to keep it to a side storyline only, however, to introduce this borderline eldritch creature and force within the world and then never have it dealt with is so weird.

D. The Writing Oh boy this is. kinda a big one. Now I'm not gonna lie, it's pretty obvious I have a bias for the Wilbur writing over the current team [that consisting of Dream, Quackity, and Tommy mostly]. I don't this his writing is perfect by any means, the characters constantly bringing up traitors got obnoxious after a while, and writing Hamilton but in Minecraft really isn't the modern Shakespeare or anything. However, I think his exploration of characters and plot progression was a lot more thought out and well planned, like he actually had two brain cells behind the story yknow? The current team I think fails to be as emotional or even impactful, things happened too fast and my god was everything drowned in angst for so long.

Don't get me wrong, you gotta have your characters face hardships to make them reach their goal believable, but some of the shit they put the characters through just felt like too much. From c!Tubbo's constant comparison to c!Schlatt [who btw, fucking ordered his death and kept him from his friends in a nation he felt trapped in] and on a side note, i kinda really fucking dislike the "c!Schlatt dad!!" au's or the au's where c!Tubbo inherits some of Schlatt's features, it would be like c!Tommy getting a c!Dream mask after his exile, it's feels so weird yet people eat that shit up for some reason.

But god, did c!Tommy get the brunt of it all and in retrospect after his final death, it kinda feels really fucking gross. Now obviously, I'm not trusting any of these people to write decent mental health representation, but c!Tommy's PTSD and how it was explored was just degrading. [Specifically the scene in that one Techno stream where he saw the final control room from the first war, and had a flashback / panic attack where he started calling out for c!Dream. I understand this is an actual thing people with PTSD will experience, but it felt so fucking stereotypical it got on my nerves. I actually had to close out of the stream because it made me feel sick, fiction shouldn't leave you feeling that way.] And don't get me started on how they basically reused the formula from the previous arc. [Problem introduced -> Tensions rise as things start to fall apart -> Big confrontation -> Exile -> Return from Exile -> Blowing up L'Manberg, again.]

And speaking of characters-

E. Character Arcs, or the lack of them In my genuine opinion, some of these characters' arcs are so disappointing. Especially c!Tommy's. I'm not one to believe that he was a "selfish" character or anything, however, his goals were simply set on his discs and maybe c!Tubbo, he didn't have much outside that. However, L'Manberg gave him something to care about, he gave up his discs for it and he fought for it tooth and nail, I think it taught him to open up to others and trust more. It was a great character arc for him to have, seeing him still fight even after his first exile alongside c!Wilbur, to return safely to the nation that he and his found family had built.

But then his second exile happened, and I feel like all of that was undone.

c!Tommy's exile genuinely pisses me off for so many reasons. It's not that characters can't have their low points after reaching a major change or feeling like they've "completed" their arcs or anything, but it's more of the fact that it seems like he's never going to heal that feels like a spit in the face, especially to people who might have had setbacks like that before. Progress isn't linear, sometimes things happen and you get knocked back down, it can take a while to get back up, but I don't think c!Tommy's character is ever going to be allowed to get back up. From c!Dream, who pretty much was a constant abuser in his life, killing him then reviving him, and his still fractured relationship with c!Tubbo, which by the way I have a had time believing they would still be friends after all that happened, it feels like he can never get a win and it's generally kinda a shit way to treat your characters who have been abused. Of course, not all abused characters are going to get happy endings, I'm not trying to dictate that they all should, but c!Tommy deserves one and the fact that it's so obscure feels shitty.

Side note: we still don't have a canon reason to give a shit abt the discs. Like I'm sorry but without some sorta connection to the MacGuffin why should we give a shit about him getting them other than "he wants them lol". Like hell, I would even accept the classic "they were the last gifts from his parents" or something, but we still don't have a reason.

c!Tubbo also lacks a fulfilling arc as well, from someone who started out as a yes man, he has progressed a bit into having his own interests first, but besides that sometimes his character makes me so. depressed. He's easily one of the most pushed around and hated characters within the story, all for being a kid who didn't know what to do and he's in the same vein as c!Tommy; these kids can't get a break. Also, his anti-violence beliefs morphing into the "lets kill c!Techno lol!" bit was so out of place and without proper build-up it was like. what. And now he's building nukes?? god c!Tubbo makes me so sad because he's kicked around constantly and never given a chance to grow.

Another small note, I also don't really enjoy c!Techno at all. Besides the previously stated reasons of lack of emotions when they're really needed, I find his character to be weirdly pretentious. He talks as if he's constantly been betrayed and hurt but I personally, don't see it? Like, I think one of the main examples was the Pogtopia vs. Manberg war, yknow he wanted to end the government but they just reinstated it after they won = c!Techno upset. But this doesn't make sense to me because why did he think otherwise? The entire time c!Tommy had talked about taking back their nation and starting again, so the fact that c!Techno suddenly thought there would be a sudden change is, to put it bluntly, kinda fucking stupid. I don't want to say that he "plays the victim" or anything because that feels a bit harsh, but his character feels so far up his own ass that I can't enjoy him.

I have a major grip with c!Dream as well, but that's getting it's own fucking section.

F. L'Manberg This is a quick note before we get into the, forgive me for this, endgame, of this entire rant, since the next two sections are tied together. But god, L'Manberg makes me upset because it feels like they gave up on it.

Don't get me wrong, I understand that it is supposed to be c!Wilbur's "unfinished symphony", the thing that destroyed a once charismatic and widely loved man, his attempt at power that utterly ruined him. But the fact that it just got blown up in the end after everything and left to rot felt like such a waste of time. From the first war, to Pogtopia, to even c!Tommy's exile, it all felt fucking worthless in the end, and the story is actively closer to how it was when it started now more than ever. I wished it was actually allowed to exist and continue to be a peaceful place in what is a chaotic world, but no it was just snuffed out because why dedicate to this concept of finding others you can band together with and feel safe. fuck that noise apparently?

G. The Villains Now villain-wise, I'm only talking about c!Dream [during the first war], c!Schlatt, and c!Wilbur. And believe it or not, this is actually mostly positive.

Now I'm not gonna lie, c!Dream as a staring antagonist wasn't bad actually, he posed a genuine and threatening opposition to L'Manberg, even if we didn't know his real intentions or motivations as to why he was against it. He's lucky in this sense because he didn't have to be good, he had to be passable. If anything, he felt more like an anti-hero than a tyrant or traditional villain, and my god do I wish he kept this theme going forward.

Now quick disclaimer, I don't like JSchlatt as much as the next guy, he's an adult man who should know better than to joke about some sensitive topics and act the way that he does. But the one thing I'll ever give him is that damn, was he a good actor for his character.

Now here's the thing, c!Schlatt wasn't particularly deep at all. He had no real motivations behind his exile of c!Wilbur and c!Tommy other than getting competition out of the way, had no reason to act the way that he did and yknow? that's fine. The reason why he worked was from his performance alone, he was actually intimidating. When he came onto the stream and was doing his typical bad guy stuff, it was actually intense to see what he would do. Whenever he would almost catch c!Tommy back in Manberg, whenever he would begin to pressure c!Tubbo, it put you on the edge of your seat and it felt like everything would change at the drop of a pen. He's a villain to be a villain, and this works out because he's just charismatic and well put together enough to make it interesting, even without the backstory or motives.

c!Wilbur however, is much more tragic, and the best villain of the story. He essentially was the "mentor turned evil" trope and it felt terrible watching him descend into madness, unable to trust barely anyone except for c!Techno and c!Tommy. Hell, in the end I think he still cared about them both, despite losing everything. Sure, he blew up L'Manberg, but there was still a smidge of the old c!Wilbur in there made everything he did feel melancholic. His death at the hands of his father after achieving his final wish was chilling, and something I still think about.

Until yknow, Ghostbur came back way too soon to let people feel his loss as a character within that world. And then he got revived, pretty much-undoing everything that moment meant for his character lol.

And then there's the worst one:

H. Dream. I'm going to be completely honest, c!Dream is one of the main reasons why I dislike the current dsmp stuff so much. Outside of his actions as a person, the way Dream decided to write his character as this overpowered madman of the dsmp really just. destroyed any intrigue that he could've had. Perhaps this is from my growing dislike towards him, manifesting into a bias towards his character, but god I cannot fathom why people try to insist he's interesting when he has as much depth as a fucking puddle.

And here's the thing, I'm not even entirely against c!Dream being a villain, hell I think he would've been great as an anti-hero if anything. Make him sympathetic but not through c!George to get your precious "DNF" points or anything, but show him actually caring about the people within the dsmp, including c!Tommy and c!Tubbo. This would make his rival status with them just a bit more complicated, sure they're enemies, however, he doesn't want to hurt or kill them, and there's still a level of friendship there that keeps them bonded when things get super bad. This could've been super interesting to see, the first villain of the story receiving a sorta redemption arc then descending into madness as he started to fixate on being a god. This is all how I feel personally, but god do I feel like it would've been better than his current character, and hell would've worked with how he was during the Pogtopia arc, before the war that is. I'm not trying to tell Dream how to write his own character, but there are so many other ways he could've done the madman seeking to become god rather then. whatever the hell we got.

Because instead, we got this power-mad asshole who does things... because he can? And that's one of my major issues: he tries to surround his character in mystery to make him "intriguing" but it's kinda like c!Techno, it comes off as pretentious. Not only that, but you cannot keep waving around this mystery of a backstory without ever actually revealing it. I know the story isn't over, but c!Dream is effectively at his lowest point, now would be the time to reveal his backstory. But no just keep it in the dark and keep everyone guessing, that's totally fun and not at all tiring and annoying. (sarcasm, if anyone needs it)

And back to his performance, he doesn't sell this aloof, cynical and strategic warrior that has perfected the blade or some shit, he comes off as some angry guy yelling on reddit. which i don't need to tell you, isn't intimidating. It feels like he's trying to have c!Schlatt's intimidation combined with c!Wilbur's depth, but instead he's like a little brother who's trying to hard to mimic his older brother and is kinda embarrassing himself.

but other then that i dont feel too strongly abt the dsmp lol

but seriously, these are the main complaints I have abt the story tbh, I could probably talk about more but I wont because man. this is probably gonna get me in trouble if any of the hyper-dsmp fans actually read it.

So I just watched the new MLP movie. It was cute! Not perfect but I enjoyed it. I know a lot of people were skeptical with the switch to 3D but personally I think they pulled it off very well! The designs were charming, the lighting was lovely, and the animation itself looked great imo. My only nitpick on the art front is that the short fur texture on the bodies looked a liiiiittle funky, almost more like flocking than fur, but that’s a very minor thing so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The characters were decent, most weren’t super developed but seeing as this is supposed to be the introduction to a TV series I can let that slide; I think it serves well enough as a, well, introduction to the mane 5 and co. The only character I didn’t particularly care for was Sprout. I mean, I guess kids would probably find the whole “manbaby” type humor funny, and that’s the target demographic so hey fair, but as for myself I just found him obnoxious. I was pleasantly surprised, however, by Phyllis, Haven, and Alphabittle not really being villains or even antagonists per se like I expected and more just ponies with their own quirks and motivations who were just as much a victim of presumably generations of propaganda as the rest of the citizens. Also it’s a shame we lost Argyle so early on; he seemed like a real nice bean ;u;

The songs were meh, but then again musicals aren’t really my cup o’ tea in the first place; even with g4 I was never as into the songs as most of the fandom seemed to be ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  Plus I think I’ve been spoiled by the Centaurworld soundtrack lol

What I really want to know now is whether Sunny is actually an alicorn now? The wings and horn appeared to be made of magic so they might well be temporary, but she was never shown actually losing them so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  Personally I kinda hope she is a permanent alicorn, simply because I think it’d be heckin’ dope and I daresay restoring magic to Equestria is a valid reason to ascend lol. Buuuut I’m probably in the minority there, and given the design and the fact that this is only an intro movie it’s probably more likely that the wings and horn were just temporary. Ah well. Guess we’ll see ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

OHHHGG MY GOD.....yes i am. i love hxh so much.......i cant put into words how happy this ask makes me i feel like im making everyone i know insane because i talk about it so much. warning for upcoming rant in three two one! penis! i got into it last may and was so obsessed.....once i finished the 2011 remake i was. So depressed though lmao. i get ridiculously invested in shows to the point where i feel bad and guilty if i get into something else at the same time like im being unfaithful or something...so anyways after i finished i started watching the 1999 anime, the movies (slightly atrocious, very messy but charming and hunter hunter content nonetheless), all that...i spent the whole summer drawing and watching and sleeping on the floor. i was really sad but it was good time! eventually though i tried to get into other things, which i did....but recently one of my friends started watching it. Rookie Mistake. now i wont stop talking to her about it lol along with one of my close friends whos already finished it who has to deal with me Speaking in Tongues basically about hunter lore. i need a lobotomy, im sweating, im shaking, im a pointless animal, i can no longer Restrain Myself. i will be talking about the sillay minecraft grass block boy and his gay little pals at your wedding. to your kids when i babysit them. in the nursing home to the very exhausted nurse whilst she attempts and fails to make me eat my jello cup or my peas and carrots. ANYWAYS again, some s tier characters imo are gon n killua (obviously....i love gon so much though. i kinda relate to him a lot) knuckle, nobunaga, meruem, pakunoda and uvogin...alluka...bisky..leorio..i love so many i feel like most of(looking at you palm 💀) the characters are so well written. im in the process of watching it again but im. All over the place. i started at chimera ant because i was so confused my first watch, got half way through but got too sad and rewatched greed island again. finished that, back at chimera ant again...almost done. my first watch i actually wasnt really a fan of greed island...i feel like it was just a training arc really, and i didnt think the antagonists were that interesting. after finishing hxh i kinda looked back on it as a lighthearted but Decent arc, a nice segue from the stress but (compared to chimera ant) Normalcy of yorknew to the craziness of what was to come next. however.....upon watching it again, after knowing what all happens later? greed island hits so much different to me. as of right now, greed island is probably my favorite....but all of the arcs are so good in their own ways. as for favorite scene....ohghh my god i have so many...i dunno where you are in the show, if youve finished it or not!! so ill try not to get too spoilery but i really love gon and killuas interactions. im in love with how their friendship is written and how at a glace it looks so...black and white but once you learn more about the characters you realize how interesting and more...grey they are?? they are so Neat. sorry for this long ass rant i could and Will talk for hours about it!! thank you so much for the ask, it really means the world ((':> if youre still watchin i hope you like it!!! feel free to rant about the sillay little hunters in my ask box id love to hear your thoughts <333

rewatching watership down netflix adaptation and i just need to comment on the second episode so if u dont wanna read skip past then!!

edit: im also gonna be commenting about captain campion because hes my second favorite aside from holly he makes me so happy so aha- plus this is more of just how they could've made it a little different not better maybe just... different idk if its good thats why lol

just saying like. firstly in the first episode where they tryna yknow make a warren. strawberry is like nowhere to be seen and thlayli is so upset about not having women around for digging... this is.... like... okay whatever

but he says we dont have does but then mentions we have does in another line, THEN when blackberry, holly, and bluebell are finding the other warren dandelion and hawkbit clearly make a very decent hole?? AND STRAWBERRY JUST MAKES THE ENTIRE WARREN???? its so weird i love criticizing this netflix this adaptation dude its so goofy

there is no absolute reason to have more does after this aside from getting love interests for holly and hazel... which okay... only cus im biased for hyzenthlay... but i think its just a little ridiculous how they did the whole discovering of these rabbits

a great way they couldve actually discovered the other warren was through blackavar! they were SO CLOSE with this idea but threw it out the window instead, where holly was exploring to find the others.

with blackavar attempting to escape and both warrens being fairly close just some distance away, they def could've had holly and thlayli explore the surroundings to gain some understanding of their new home and report to hazel then bump into blackavar.

plus this couldve gave a lot of bonding between holly and thlayli, as they were former houlser members and left off on a bad foot but never mentioned it again which is so upsetting on how they missed that opportunity, especially at the final episodes where they're being surrounded and hyzentlhay/holly are together fighting thlayli could've attempted to help to ensure that hyzenthlay stays alive for holly's sake and get some final words with like idk overtime if they DID get to have a better bond along with hyzenthlay but alas.... no....

netflix did it so dirty and i desperately would love to remake a whole au for it but sparkly but i really doubt id stick to character personalities cus i just go out of the window with them a lot but yeah.... some fun ideas <3

EDIT: PLUS CAPTAIN CAMPIONS DEVELOPMENT. SO MINIMAL YET MY FAVORITE.

captain campion, on the antagonist warren, the beginning scene with him is great! holly as a captain himself getting to comment about that was AWESOME but... nothing else was mentioned after?? it was a little sad to see such a backstory character get a good realization in his heart when sending to kill holly and knowing its wrong! i wouldve LOVED to see campion and holly maybe interact more when holly was imprisoned, even though it wasnt long that they were there but even then we could've seen campion apprentice thlayli and even mention holly and how his morals may have been altered!

this wouldve been really fun to see, especially if he was ordered to hit thlayli by the other captain he def could've had hesitance and even help him when thlayli almost executed but then again it wouldn't make it to have holly being killed, but if thlayli had the opportunity to lead him TO holly when they escape then campion and holly could've bonded over being captains as well! even then... but i might be bc i just want holly to live cause i like heem a lot..... regardless he was a great character, i wouldnt change much but just some of the dialogue is a little bland once in a while lol

 So we have finally reached another year happy 2021! let's all hope this year will be kind to us, as I have mentioned in my previous favorites post, I finished my work term and now will be working on my art more

also this maybe a little too early to think of but I was thinking of opening an etsy store to sells stickers/ keychains, this was a project that was on my mind for many years actually, but I have never really considered starting it

I would also like some ideas as to what type of characters from what show would you like to see merchandise from. I know there are some franchises that are not well known and most people wouldn’t be able to find so much as a fanart of that particular character/show

so if you could all let me know what you’d like to see in the shop I will highly consider it, with that being said I don't have any anime recs this month, mainly cause I was very busy in the month of December and have not watched any dramas or anime in a while,

so just a heads up, that part will not be included this month. The only thing I was watching is bunch of end of the year award shows, so like the drama awards and melon music awards and MAMA awards...haha that seems really boring to discuss so i'll skip that.

My friend and I were discussing and thought that they should rename these music awards as the BTS awards because they won so many lol.

 This section of the favorites is on fire! you don’t even know how far deep the rabbit hole i`ve dug myself into.

I finally was able to save my progress and crawl back up to list a few of my favorites/ updates of the old favorites and a special segment to ones that triggered a raging response due to utter frustration

Let’s start with a review of the manhwa I have read and discussed so far

 so some updates on the previous ones that I have listed out so far, with the exception of the completed ones.

 1) Who's baby is it? ; last time I read up to chapter 72 and now they have up to chapter 126 and I have to say so much more has happened in terms of story and relationship development and I especially love the development between

yi yun and his relationship with jinyao, they are acting more and more like a married couple without even knowing it. You see a gradual change within the two of them that shifts from being very comfortably being able to talk about their problems to one another to

physical touches that would make them  both nervous, I don't mean physical in a sexual way...it's not at that point yet, it's just holding hands and being near each other makes them, nervous and as an audience I felt that nervous energy

and it makes as the audience appreciate the development even if it is slow, it becomes more realistic over time.

Needless to say, I am still a giant fan girl of this author and her story and I can't wait to see this week’s chapter

 2) social temp; I said that I have read the novel so I pretty much knows what happened in the new chapters that were just out, this manhwa is updating a little slow so I have to wait to really comment

When they go further, there is a scene soon that will be the turning point of their relationship so I am excited to see that in the manhwa

 3) salad days; There is also a slow development here as well in terms of relationship building, so far they are working on their careers as professionals and dealing with bullying and jealousy from their peers

But it's all part of life so I appreciate that the author included these aspects as an important part of the story and not just focusing on romance alone.

 4) To be or not to be; you'd think a person who had studied Chinese for 8 years would be able to read the raws....nope,LOL

So far the story is going into a good direction so I'm hoping to see how this new development will play out in their relationship

 5) no way vampires don't exist; I have and fanart and long post dedicated to this alone, so please refer to those for more details. I am happy this is updating again and hopefully all of it will be translated in no time for others to enjoy

Okay so that is all for the old ones that I have read, I will include updates throughout my favorites now and then if it is still ongoing.

now let's look at some new ones that I have found this month, these are just a few of the ones I selected out to talk about, but I have read much more as I have said and these were the ones that were the most memorable

 1) Unintentional love story- "Wonyoung gets unjustly suspended from work after getting caught up in a corruption scandal. But when he accidentally discovers the chairman's favorite artist Yoon Taejun living under an alias, he is tasked with a tricky new mission. Could this be Wonyoung's chance to get his job back?"

 This is the summary from the licensed lezhin website, and it pretty much sums up the story, it is still ongoing right now so I can only comment on how I feel about it so far.

I really like this story its really straight forward and focuses mainly on the two characters and how their relationship went from business partners to eventual lovers

it has minimal drama and works on moving the relationship buildup between the two main characters and I really appreciate that, it makes me less frustrated, since you know there is always that one a-hole that will never take no for an answer

i will discuss that later for the other ones I plan to discuss. But so far the story is straight forward and cute, and I really like wonyoung he is really adorable. This is a manhwa but not in the form of a webtoon, so it's black and white and read in traditional manga style

if you like a straight forward story and development please give this a read, you will enjoy it.

 2) Karasugaoka Don't Be Shy!! - "Sou Izuhara, the leader of the crime prevention group "VOICE" that protects east Karasugaoka, realizes he's in love with the man he keeps butting heads with and leader of the rival group "Karasukai," Tetsuji Shinba...!?"

 omg finally a manga recommendation? lol. you have no idea how much trouble I had remembering the title of this manga, I didn’t save it into my bookmarks and I usually did that if I was going to talk about it in the favorites.

I went through 5 websites to figure out the name but at least it was found. This story is both comedic and cute and it was a perfect break from the dark stuff I have been reading, I don't believe it has been updated in while so I'm not sure if it will ever be picked up

but there is a decent amount of chapters to get started on. But as the description says that it is a story about two crime prevention group leaders, they look like thugs but they prevent crimes from happening, so like an anti bullying campaign that recruits volunteers. two of the leaders from the largest groups apparently doesn’t get a long

on the surface but one of the leaders Izuhara really in fact admires the other leader Shinba. they start to get along after shiba went to izuharas territory to take care of some suspicious activity on that side and accidentally discovers a whole new side to izuhara due to the fact that he wasn’t wearing his glasses and didn’t know he was talking to shinba

and invited him to hang out together for that day. lol. You probably know the direction this is heading; it all starts from interest in a person right?

anways, I never recommended a  manga yet so this would be a good one to read,it has a balance of a good romantic comedy.  

 3) Semantic Error- "Computer science major Chu Sangwoo is the epitome of an inflexible and strict rule-abiding person. While working on a liberal arts group project with freeloaders who don’t put in any effort, Sangwoo reasonably decides to remove their names from the final presentation. But he didn’t imagine how involved he would become with the person whose study-abroad plans were messed up because of that project. The involved person: the campus star who everyone knows, Department of Design’s Jang Jaeyoung. He has everything from skills, looks, family background and good relationships except for 1 big problem: Chu Sangwoo. What happens when an engineer and an artist whose personalities are like oil and water have to work together? Jang Jaeyoung is like a semantic error in the perfect world of Chu Sangwoo. Will Sangwoo be able to debug this?"

 this has got to be one of the most accurate portrays of an antagonist relationship start off ever, it was really comedic and relatable at the same time, if you are in current group assignments and are or have suffered the same as sangwoo, please let me know cause I know I have.lol.

there’s only 16 chapters so far and I believe it hasn’t been updated in a while either so I don’t know if it is discontinued or not.

I can't wait to see the development between the two male leads, because their relationship right now in the manhwa is really hilarious and worth the read.

side note, not that this will ever be considered as a k-drama but I would like to see sangwoo being played by kim soo hyun, because he looks like him in the drama it's okay not to be okay.

 4) Tied up in twins- " The story starts off with three friends Jiwoo, sohee and woojung who had been friends since high school began to developed complicated feeling towards one another, woojung had been in love with sohee and sohee had been in love with jiwoo who was in love with woojung, things turned for the worse when jiwoo got drunk one night out and decided to confess his feelings to woojung by going to his apartment, he found 'woojung' standing outside and invited him to go drinking, he finally was able to let out his feelings and 'woojung ' accepted them without hesitation. Jiwoo felt like he was on cloud nine at the moment and slept with 'woojung' that night after thier feelings were made mutual. Turns out 'woojung ' was not actually woojung himself but his twin brother sarang, not knowing this fact he spots sarang with a man from his past eunji that used to bully him during his military service which made him confused and angry that 'woojung ' might be playing with his feelings. Sarang then confessed that he is the twin brother  of woojung and both of them decided that that night was a mistake and that they should just forget about it as it didn't happen. Of course fate had other plans as they keep running into each other during difficult times and decided to become friends. It didn't take them long to be attracted to one another which lead them to end their previous relationship, sarang especially was suffering from his cheating boy friend's abuse and jiwoo with his one sided feelings for woojung. After a series of events sarang and jiwoo found that their feeling for each other were mutual and started to dating, which poses a lot more obstacles than either of the two had bargained for...."

ooo now it's time for the fun part.LOL. Now let me just say that there is sometimes a fine line that defines what shounen ai and Yaoi are, sometimes stories is listed as both because one story that starts off like shounen ai will suddenly become yaoi

I define yaoi as a story that includes all the things that i'm uncomfortable with, which is emotional trauma from sexual abuse, sexual harassment and rape, physical abuse, suicide etc

 these stories usually include some or all of the listed above and could make you uncomfortable in many ways, so as a warning if you are bothered by any of that even a little please don't read the ones I’m about to list, because there is a lot of it and there are situations that made me really sick while reading them. on the upside there is a lot of whole heartedness from the love scenes between the two main characters, although it’s like pages of sex scenes, you know from reading that it is between two people that love and trust each other.

 so you have been warned, i'm not going to spoil it in terms of story but there is something these ones i chose out have in common and that is a SICK A-HOLE THAT EVERY PERSON WANTS TO KILL.You should have seen all those comments about calling sangwoo (killing stalking) to kill theses mofos and I could agree more, these disgusting human beings made me sick.

 so let's begin...btw these are in no particular order, I was going to list these from the least worthy of dieing to most worthy of dieing but you know in the end they should just all die...lol.

1) My Suha -"A skillful secretary by day and choosy cruiser by night, Suha is a young professional who’s in search of some no-strings-attached action. He hasn’t had much luck lately, though, since a handsome face doesn’t always match what’s in a guy’s pants. This might be why he finds himself wondering about his dreamboat boss, Director Park Jiwoon. But there’s no way he can mix business with pleasure… That is, until Jiwoon and Suha run into each other in the gay bar bathroom."

 so where to begin, um this pretty much includes all those listed above but it mainly focuses on the relationship between jiwoon and Suha, and it is not abusive and very loving in fact,I'm glad that they show the contrast between how suha's previous realtionships don't work out because of his trauma

and how jiwoon despite being an unwanted heir in his grandmother's eyes was able to give love and protection to the person that matters to him the most. So there's this scum bag...I even forgot his name but the red haired dude in this story he`s the legitimate heir to the family, who is the absolute worse and not only sexually abused Suha when they were younger and also emotionally scar both jiwoon and suha

making them feel incapable of being loved. I didn’t get a good feeling form him when he was first introduced and I was right...lol. But at least the comments section was in agreement; let me sum up my feelings in the form of this gif alone...

 you get the point...

I heard it was going to finish soon so hopefully these emotional scars can be resolved and that suha and jiwoon stick together to get through it all. That would be a good ending for them after everything they have been through.You really need to read it in order to under stand why these events happen the way they do but please remember that suha`s inability to feel love stems from the all of his previous relationships not lasting long yes...but started with this red haired mofo. I am never going to let this dude live, let`s just say that.

2) Crash into me- " Seung-chan is stressed. He has enough on his plate with the long hours at work, and now he can’t even get any rest at home! Every night, the lustful moaning and violent banging from the apartment upstairs keeps him awake. Just as he’s at his wits’ end, he chances upon the gorgeous, enigmatic Hyesung outside his building. Surely all those filthy sounds couldn’t be coming from such a pretty mouth? But as Seung-chan soon finds out, there’s a lot more to Hyesung"

 from that little description you’ve probably figured out what’s going on with the neighbour next door keeping seung chan awake right? well no surprise sexual abuse, after hyesung was forced to suffer from a ordeal that wasn't his fault the brother of the person that died made it seem like it was his fault and sexually assaulted him

and so this ongoing sexual abuse progressed for several years which lead hyesung feel like life is meaningless and he should just die, until he locked eyes with seung chan walking back to the apartment and thought of jumping out the window, because he had a strange feeling that seungchan who he has not met before would catch him if he did.

I just almost cried from what I just wrote...to think there’s is some a-hole out there that would drive a person to suicide like that just to satisfy his own needs or whatever...i don't even know cause it’s still ongoing...i don’t think any amount of back story will justify any kind of sympathy for this person..

from what I have read so far it seems so be going ending soon so i hope seungchan and hyesung will be able to get through all this and live in peace because of suengchan, hyesung was able to love again and find his worth and is able to fight for himself and I’m sincerely glad that he had met and trust him whole heartedly.

3) Dine with vampire- "Caught in the clutches of an abusive relationship, Sooin longs to escape. A vampire who finds human blood repulsive, Chi-hwan only drinks the blood of other vampires. When chance brings the two together, Chi-hwan makes Sooin an enticing proposal. Chi-hwan will help Sooin get out of his living hell, and in exchange… Sooin has to let Chihwan drink his blood. Will this proposal change both their lives for the better?”

 y'all don't even get me started on the mofo in this story....I’ve never felt so much rage from staring at a 2D character on my screen, the amount of times I hissed at him...you don't even know

like I have mentioned before ever since my twilight phase I didn’t consume anything vampire related in a while, I don't really care much for the vampire aspect but I guess it's still important over all

once you start the first chapter you will immediately know why I hate the harry potter a-hole in this story..he is despicable and that’s putting it lightly...but you know he doesn’t last long cause vampire tsukiyama (lol, not his name but they look alike) shows up and kills the mofo

and saves sooin who is the person who harry potter had been sexually abusing...to the point where you guessed it, he wanted to die.

chi hwan agrees to grant any wish sooin wanted in exchange for his blood because being vampire by nature he had not been drawn to anyone’s blood for some reason and had only consumed the blood of other vampires.

of course it was a small price to pay for sooin considering all the misery he had gone through. slowly sooin discovered that love was not abusive through the many times chi hwan...lmao i almost called him tsukiyama again...and he had sex, he discovered that it was safe and gentle and enjoyable

nothing that he had ever felt before, and so they became drawn to each other more than they thought they would to the point where they genuinely care for one another, though of course chi hwan knows that one day sooin will die and he will have to live on forever alone, thus the fate of his vampire blood.

 but here’s the catch..it's not a spoiler really cause you knew it was too easy when main villain dies in chapter 4...and he’s on the front cover...which means yes harry potter mofo is back...ugh...he should have burned his body...WTF and as a vampire no less..

i'm like great now look what happened, you should have chopped him up and threw him into the incinerator!

you know that saying " mistakes were made..."

anyways, now he's back meaning shits about to do down and i'm not ready to see it happen, right now they are going through his back story and i’m like sorry author...whatever you try to feed me there’s no way i can have any sympathy for this dick...

 so that's all i'm going to rant about for these yaoi titles...i had to go back and read some it again to know what i'm going to write about and i revisited a lot of things i’d rather not.I think the rage I felt was ignited again all of a sudden and I felt utter frustration to finish reading it again, what I am trying to say is, ya`ll need to read this once and that`s it...these aren`t stories you`d want to revisit.lol

so if you like this hell segment let me know and i'll continue it cause there’s an endless supply of content for this genre, I have a few more but i'll save those for next month.

Ok so lets start with the woman who single handedly raised these ice blocks.

Ur

First thoughts, oh wow she's cool( you can hate me its fine) she's really strong!

This woman is powerful. She is a master ice maker mage and an excellent teacher.

She is kind and compassionate. 

She was patient with Gray, because she understood his pain. 

Ur out of everyone in the series was someone who had the biggest impact on Lyon, Gray and Ultear.

She had her flaws yes she could at times be abrasive,but ultimately that is what made her such a relatable character.

When she discovered that Gray was going after Deliora, she went after him without any hesitation. She fought against the demon and willingly gave her life, she wasn't angry at Gray when she died. She was glad that she was able to seal away his darkness.

Now everyone knows Ur was strong later we hear Jellal say she was on wizard saint level.

One of the things I really wanted to see more of was her ice maker magic. We only really saw Rosen Krone, and a few training spells she taught Gray and Lyon.

Personally I think she could utilize both Dynamic and Static Ice make magic given the fact that she could create the roses(dynamic) and shields(static). But this is my opinion..

Honestly if Ur and Ultear had reunited it would have been a very emotional reunion.

Seeing her again and watching her fight against Lyon and Gray just wow. But it also showed us how far the boys had come from when they were just children.

Ultear.

First thoughts: oh she's pretty, wait she's the villain!!?? But she's still pretty

WE STAN THIS QUEEN!!

Ok but out of all the series villains she was my absolute favorite.

She was driven and ambitious,and went through great lengths to get what she wanted.

Yes her actions were wrong in many cases. But there was still some light in her.

She took Meredy and cared for her as her own.

And after learning that her mother truly loved her, she helped Gray and the other.

And then again when she broke Jellal out of prison, and formed a guild dedicated to bringing down dark guilds and Zeref. She was prepared to spend the rest of her life repenting for her wrong doings. 

She died trying to ensure a future for everyone. That was pretty damn selfless of her. In that moment when she cast that spell, it reflected exactly what Ur did, willingly giving their life's for a better future for those they cared about.

Seeing her as an old woman honestly broke my heart. But seeing her finally at peace for the first time in years also made me happy.

When he appeared again in the battle against Dimaria, I was shook. She looks self assured more than any other time before.

She is still willing to do whatever it takes to help Wendy and Chelia. But again that softness that is so uniquely Ultear shown through. She warned them of the danger when you unlock your third origin,but respected Chelia's wish.

Ultear was a wonderful and complex character. Who truly grew in wonderful ways.

Lyon 

What the hell was his Idea with the weird cold emperor mask thing? JK

Lyon was a decent antagonist, he was cool and calculated. Also prepared to do anything it took to reach his goals.

I'm glad he decided to join a guild. It was a good way for him to open up more and be less emotionally distant.

I got a bit pissed when Mashima tried to pull a love triangle between Lyon ,Juvia and Gray.

It took away the emotional maturity that Lyon had. And just made me dislike the Neo oracion seis arc whenever he was shown.

During the gmg we can see how much he has improved, and how strong he really became during those seven years.

Something that I loved was how he had taken a parental attitude towards Wendy and Chelia; he was kind and patient with them both.

Encouraging whenever one of them was sad or discouraged.

I'm glad that he had made peace with what happened to Ur. He was finally able to start putting the past behind him.

Lyon is driven, and very Intelligent. I just wish we could have seen more of his leader skills because he really is a good leader.

GRAY the sinnamon child.

First thoughts, dude NO no stripping.

His calm and composed attitude was refreshing.( when he was)

Gray is one of the characters that I'm most fond of.

He knows he has flaws and actively tries to better himself. 

He worries about his teammates, and tries to help them whenever he can.

He is very empathetic towards others. And would go against orders to ensure that his guild is kept safe.

Something I hate again the whole Juvia thing is how if he was uncomfortable it was used as a joke.

I love how he has so many good connections with people. And how he,has a way of calming others. 

The thing that had me hooked was despite his magic and how strong he became,there was still this humane part of him that was always shown through.

Despite all the pain and sorrow he went through he still fought for good.

The interactions he has had with people, how he is willing to give those who deserve it a second chance shows how caring he really is.

He has his flaws wanting to give his life so willingly,being one of them. But he learns and grows.

He gives his all,he is loyal and kind and smart.

HEADCANONS 

Ur left her husband because he was abusive,and she wanted a happy home for Ultear to grow up in.

Ur and Ultear loved making snowmen and snow angles together,before Ultear became ill.

After losing her daughter Ur thought she would never be able to love again. But over time two young boys had brought warmth back into her heart.

Rosen Krone was the very first spell that Ultear wanted to learn because she loved roses.

After being taken in by Hades, Ultear would spend hours researching time and how to manipulate it. 

Deep down Ultear knew what she was doing was wrong,but she wanted to see her mother so badly that she pushed away her feelings of guilt.

Despite the fact that she only helped Lyon because of personal gain, she actually took a liking to him. His magic reminded her of her mother.

When Gray had helped her see the truth. And after she and Meredy left the island Ultear broke down and cried for the first time in years.

During the seven year gap, she tried to find ways to find Gray and the rest of fairy tail.

And she also kept an eye on Lyon.

Lyon knew that he was being watched,but he never felt in danger.

When Lyon found out that Ultear was Ur's daughter he had pulled her for a hug.

Gray Lyon and Ultear wanted to spend more time with each other, but they never had the chance.

I think slytherins as a concept could be cool, but Rowling did them dirty. Like, being ambitious, cunning, goal-oriented, or motivated isn't bad. Being the equivalent of a white supremacist is. I despise the slytherins in the book, but I still want to identify as one. However, it's really hard to remove 'slytherin' from it's context, especially because of how pervasive Harry Potter is in our world, so identifying with slytherin feels like identifying with something awful. Do you get what I mean?

i personally don’t see rowling’s setting them up as villains the same thing as “doing them dirty”—they’re antagonists, they were written to be antagonists, and they don’t have any real substance beyond that. it’s okay to have bad guys who are just bad guys, especially if they’re minor characters.

that being said, i also don’t agree that there’s a lot of evidence to support slytherins actually being defined by their ambition. the sorting hat says so, but the actions, personalities, & beliefs of the actual slytherin characters suggest that their shared bigotry is a much more definitive common trait than being goal-oriented or cunning. (crabbe and goyle for example certainly don’t come off as ambitious, but they’ve got the fake magic racism down just fine.)

HOWEVER, these are ultimately books that just function very differently from the real world. like, real people aren’t divided into “main characters” “antagonists” “side characters,” but that is definitely how the books are structured lol. i kind of forgot about how many people like to sort themselves into hogwarts houses, and i guess it’s hard to do that without ignoring a decent amount of canon. so yeah it’s whatever

despite being chosen for this “ killing game “ with a group of 16 supposed “ ultimates “, she didn’t look very confused when monokuma singled her out for not having a talent. she seems to be a rather reserved girl, albeit one with a habit of pouting. 

LV 02 INFO 

i’m beginning to understand why the nickname ultimate blackened sticks with her. she offers no chance to talk even though i’m the one who struck up a conversation. she does not seem to regret her choice to kill, but she’s angry at monokuma for tricking her.

LV 03 INFO 

she gave me a chance to talk to her for the first time since i began talking to her. she likes to play with me and make me believe things that are not true. she had me believing she had no family to go home to if she escapes this place, just to tell me she was joking to see my reaction. she must have family to go back to, otherwise she wouldn’t have killed anyone in the first place.

LV 04 INFO

mao seemed very rude today. it was like she didn’t want to speak to me at all. she had me going around fetching things for her and telling me i would be rewarded afterwards. i feel a little insulted that she would spend so much time with me just to tell me to leave at the very end, but this isn’t something i can change.

i finally asked her what my reward for helping her out yesterday was. to my surprise, she handed me a small ring made out of a dried flower from the garden. she was very excited to give it to me. it was the first time she acted like a human since i met her. a little while later, i noticed a few red bumps along the finger the ring was on. apparently, the flower was baby’s breath and it irritates when dry.

mao ito ( 超高校級の「クロ」 or super high school level blackened ) is a girl of short stature and tiny body frame with a cute appearance outwardly. although she typically wears only white and black, most people look past her color choices and choose see a girl with her hair in buns wearing a cute overall dress over a tee shirt. 

her personality is described firstly as meek and voiceless. she keeps a quiet watch as she inspects the others around her. she’s slow to upset and even harder to scare. when it was announced by monokuma during the introduction of the killing game that she had no ultimate talent, she didn’t seem phased by him in the slightest, and instead chose to leave and go to her dorm without hearing the rest of the conversation.

despite missing the explanation of the killing game’s mechanics, she seemed to know exactly what was going on during the first trial. she seemed almost bored of the conversation, and exposed the killer without any troubles. mao was the only student that did not cry when the first blackened was punished by monokuma. she did not stay after the punishment and opted to go back to her room without talking to anyone else.

her personality is completely reversed upon the second trial. the motive for the second trial given by monokuma was the murder weapon, guitar strings. mao found out on complete accident that if the motive was the cause of death for someone, the blackened would get off without being punished. she took the chance and killed her classmate. however, monokuma had never promised that she would be set free, but never specified that when explaining the motive. because of that, she committed murder and was still forced to continue the killing game.

after that trial, mao is arrogant of herself and thinks lowly of those around her. she’s deceitful and tends to use people in her advantage without thinking about their safety or wellbeing. during class trials she often helps solve them, but in her own backwards way of helping. she’s quick to anger and harsh words, often using her wits to make people go backwards and killing their argument so she doesn’t have to argue with them. despite being a bit of an asshole, she never directly insults people, rather mocking their intelligence by commenting on the side something vaguely rude. 

she herself hates actually lying. rather than lying, she prefers to leave the full truth out, giving out only the information she wants to those around her. even so, she’s got an almost childish nature to her, having habits such as stomping and pouting when she’s angry, and clapping her hands when she’s excited or happy.

friends are not of much importance to her in this killing game and hold very little weight as an incentive to be peaceful. it’s unknown how she would treat someone if they were friendly to her. 

not much is known about her past. since the students choose to stray away from her, and she’s not readily giving out information about who she is on the inside to the general public, what little information she gives out is to be taken at face value. she’s not one to lie, but she is deceitful. what is known about her life before the killing game could be a small part of a much bigger picture. or it could be exactly what she says it is. 

whatever the case, she is the antagonist of her danganronpa game. she and the protagonist get along decently well, and he seems to be the only person who she’s willing to have a conversation with for more than five minutes. even then, she is guarded with her own words and speaks most of the time instead of letting him speak. 

mao is one of the survivors of her killing game.
