Everyone, say hi to the Menace (right) and the Violence (left). They figured out how to climb over the pet gate the first day, and I have had to turn to elaborate means to keep them from escaping/generally getting into places they shouldn't (hence the carboard duct taped to my washer). When it comes to food, they are very well mannered; we haven't had a single out-of-the-litter-box accident (though we do like to play with the litter and are learning not to play while the other is using it); and they (mostly) play very nicely; we had our nails clipped on day three (!!) and while squirmy, did not lash out.

You are not imagining things, Violet (aka Vi aka Violence) is substantially smaller than her sister Vonnabelle (aka Vonnie aka Menace), even when not accounting for Vonnie being closer to the camera.

Vonnie got car sick on the car ride home (all over herself and Vi and didn't fully recover until about thirty minutes later) and Vi has extra toes on her front paws that she uses kind of like thumbs (they both have extra toes on all four paws, but only Vi has 'functional' 'thumbs').

As an aroace I engage with romance and sex from a fantasy-level type of distance in the way that whenever I remember that people in real life actually want to touch each other's genitals I get the same wave of "hold the fuck up" that I would get if someone reminded me dragons exist.

#Looking for Love in All the Haunted Places #aroaessidhe 2024 reads #asexual books #this is okay! obviously not my kind of book - I rarely read (m/f) adult romance #and I’m always gonna want more of the speculative element lol.#I didn’t super care about the characters - other than the short middle section with Georgia I didn’t really feel her getting to know anyone #She and Maverick are just sort of immediately into each other and the one attempt to keep them apart was a bit silly #- I didn’t feel much development between them.#They’ve known each other for 3 weeks and the idea that (because of work thing) they won’t be able to see each other #for a couple of weeks is some kind of dealbreaker? what? that conflict didn’t really make sense to me.#he sentient house thing was kinda interesting but also after all that the plot seemed easily revolved in the epilogue.#The kid is cute. the cat is cute - though felt like an odd side plot #I thought the exploration of the MC’s asexuality was done well! She talks about her experiences in a way that feels personal to her.#Even if it’s not super for me- I appreciate the existence of a low-conflict Black ace romance.

I love that, since I've avoided One Piece for literal years, I've never had anything spoiled for me. I wasn't interested in it when I was younger & buying Shōnen Jump at the store, so I just. Didn't read the chapters. Anything major that's occurred in the manga until the latest two chapters?? I don't fuckin know.

I'm blind.

I dunno what happens to Ace. Who the fuck is Law? I just met Doflamingo & I love him already. Robin is a mood.

All I know is that I love the Straw Hats, Ace is a funky big brother, I want more of Shanks & his crew, and that Impel Down will hurt me for some reason (and we get ponytail buggy there).

How fun is that?? I'm so happy.
