You haven’t failed if you haven’t accomplished as much as you wanted to by now. There’s so much more time, and you are so much more than what you can do.

If this thought gained possession of you, it would change you as you are or perhaps crush you. The question in each and every thing, “Do you desire this once more and innumerable times more?” would lie upon your actions as the greatest weight.
— Friedrich Nietzsche, The Gay Science, Book IV (E. W. Fritzsch, 1882 & Nietzsche and The Question of Interpretation, by Adam Schrift, Taylor & Francis, February 25, 2014)

Can someone, please, explain how kids are called Chef on shows like Chopped Junior, but the people that I just watched cook Michelin star plates of food on MasterChef Canada are called home cooks? Those kids are amazing and do great things with food, but they have not earned the title of Chef. They haven't had the time or experience to do so. What are we teaching kids if we just award them the highest honors without having them put the time and work into deserving those honors. Chefs work hard and long to achieve that title. They work for years, relentlessly, honing their skills. Let's teach our kids what's right. Let's teach them how to succeed and let them earn the pride and feeling of accomplishment that perseverance and a good work ethic gives a person. And let's not disrespect the true chefs anymore. These kid are great home cooks, and I bet a lot of them will, someday, be great chefs. I wish them the best!!😊😍

Why do men insist on achieving something? Would it not be better if they stood still under the sun in calm and silent immobility? What is there to accomplish? Why so much effort and ambition? Man has forgotten the meaning of silence.

Doing is secondary to Being. When we live consciously in the ‘Truth’, it will radiate from us and accomplish its works without our ever running to and fro.
