Ok... another thought brought on by these last two, I think it's real important to be able to accept some moral grey areas in your life and accept that you will almost certainly do some kind of harm just by existing
I eat meat, I barely manage to feed myself even doing that, so I don't really personally have it in me to switch away at this point
Eating meat means I have to accept that in order to fill my demand for that, at least some level of harm will have to be done to animals to make that happen
There's so much in my life that's like this, the fact that I have to burn gas any time I want to get into town, the fact that a lot of the things I touch probably have caused some harm somewhere in some way that I'm not even aware of
The point of all this though, is that I think it's better to accept that you may even unintentionally cause harm, and that you may not be able to stop doing that thing yet, than it is to try and rearrange things till what you're doing is actually 100% ok and perfect
If you can't accept that you're capable of doing damage, how will you ever be able to keep an eye out for chances to do better in achievable ways?

Desperate Villain Danny AU
(this is a 17 yr old danny)
It started out slowly.
First, a few of Danny's less active Rouges stopped showing up at all. He didn't really notice, and just assumed that they had finally had their Fill of their Obsession for a while and would simmer down for a bit.
Then, some more of his Rouges stopped showing up. No big deal, but he is getting a little concerned for them. They had definitely not had their fill of their Obsessions yet, why did they stop?
Then, the worst started happen. All of his actual Ghost Friends start to disappear. Ember, Kitty, Johnny, even Amorpho, they all start to not show up at all in the Living World.
He goes looking for them in Realms, but he can't find any of them whatsoever. He tries asking around, but everybody else noticed the disappearances much earlier than him and began to hide away from whatever was taking all of the strong Ghosts. He can't find anybody, and the ones he does find won't tell him anything (or don't know themselves)
It takes weeks of searching, but eventually he gets his answer.
The GIW show up in Amity again after a period of absolutely no activity. They have stepped up their operations HARD. Advanced Ghost Hunting Equipment, Much more Competent Agents, and most worrying of all, they seem to know that Phantom is friends with Sam, Tucker, and Danny Fenton.
The GIW comes to his house for a Meeting with his parents, where he overhears them offering his parents a position in their Organization as Head Scientists. While there they also manage to plant Bugs in Danny's room somehow. Although he finds them quickly enough and destroys them.
And then, one night during dinner while his parents are ranting about the GIWs Labs, they mention something that cinches it for Danny.
"And today we even got to Dissect one of the Spooks! It was that Mind Controlly one, you know the one with the blue firey hair stuff that sang a bunch! We're going back tomorrow to continue our Study, this time we'll see how long it'll pretend to experience pain before it decides to give up on tricking us!"
That night, Danny packed up all his things, destroyed the Ghost Portal alongside everything else in his parents Lab, and left his house.
He tracked down the GIW Base, saved Ember from her Cell, and decimated the surrounding Area. No survivors, none of the research is preserved, and he left the Site Director alive to question him.
Turns out, the GIW had managed to Reverse Engineer the Ghost Portal from that brief period of time where they had taken control of Fenton Works. They had been using their own Portal to kidnap any Ghost they could get their hands on. Using the research from those subjects, they perfected their Ghost Hunting Tech and started going after the bigger fish.
"But good luck finding it, Ecto Scum! The Portals location was hidden to everybody, even me!" He said.
"Where are the others!" Danny cried. He was losing control of his appearance by this point. After seeing what they had done to Ember, he was too angry to maintain his Humanoid Form successfully. Even now, with most of his control, he could hear the Static in the air around him, and see the Glitching of his hands as they clenched this Monsters clothes.
"Scattered!" He said with a crazed laugh, "We knew we couldn't contain all of them, so we send them to all of our sites across the Country! You'll never find them!"
Without another word, Danny plowed his arm through the man's chest.
He turned around, picking up Embers weakened Body, before beginning his long flight to Wisconsin. Vlad still owed him a few Favors after all, and honestly his mentorship offers seemed VERY Tempting right now.
(Why reject him if you don't care about keeping your dad alive anymore?)
...
The JLA had recently received a distress signal from somewhere in the middle of some random Forest in Illinois, but when they got to the location, all they found was a crater filled with the ruins of some kind of Military Base, and so so many Bodies.
They had managed to figure out that this was a Government Site owned by an organization called the GIW. A Paranormal Investigation Wing of the Government focused on the study and capture of Supernatural Beings called Ecto-Entities, otherwise referred to as Ghosts.
As it turns out, an Ecto-Entity that had been terrorizing the local town for a few years now had made a drastic change in normal behavior and had attacked the GIW Base that had been posted there.
They would have destroyed it years ago, but this one was unnaturally powerful. It had eluded their capture and terrorized the Town for years, but they had too much pride to contact the JLA and admit that they needed help. And honestly until now, they didn't really need it. The Entity had been entirely confined to the singular town, and had not strayed from that behavioral Pattern in the 3 years since it's inital sighting. They had made the difficult choice to leave it there, sacrificing one town in exchange for the rest of the country.
But now they did need their help. This Entity, this Phantom, was one of the most powerful beings that had ever recorded, maybe even The Most Powerful. The fact that it had left the Secluded town it usually frequented meant that it was loose to wreak havoc across the rest of the world.
The JLA Needed to Find this thing, and Fast.

Random thoughts on last twilight Ep9.
A story of misdirected anger and misplaced care.
As an Indian I'm used to seeing fictional characters who are morally correct (even upright) in TV and movies. Older movies were mainly about beautiful, obedient, sometimes innocent women who will never do a bad thing that might potentially hurt others. They are willing to sacrifice their happiness but will never do something that will bring a bad name to their family.
An opinionated woman is always considered an antagonist who will change at the end( sometimes don't. And they will contempt till their death). Though it has changed somewhat these days, the impact it has is huge. Indian soap operas still do these characterisations. They will produce hundreds and thousands of episodes regarding the moral virtues of the main characters and how they conquer the evils. An indian fairy tale.
Fairy tales are good. But we always outgrow them. Life happens. We all have to move past the fairy land and face the reality. And the reality is...
Real people don't act that way. They stumble on making decisions, they make mistakes, they do horrible things to others, they could be selfish, they could be wrong, they react badly, hold grudges, they just do things that make them human. Humans are grey. They don't walk on a path that was shaped by their morality, rather they walk on a path that shapes their morality. People make choices and that makes the difference.
In my personal opinion while watching a movie/series or any work of fiction we need to consider this point. What you see on the screen is a story of someone who made certain choices in their life and continues to make them. Their choice may not be ideal in some cases, and it's fine. Just because they are a central character in a particular story doesn't make them less human. And humans, inherently make mistakes.. Remember,
Now coming to the series Last twilight, we have seen Day(the protagonist) holding an intense hatred towards his brother Night. Day is going to be blind because of an accident that happened while he was picking up his drunk brother. Day holds on to the notion that Night is the reason behind the accident. As an outsider, I can agree to it to some extent. Things could've taken a different take if only the characters act differently. An outsider could see that. The people in it can't. We could point out what went wrong, a sensible way out, a possible solution because we aren't the one that is experiencing it. We are not handling the steering wheel, we are watching it outside, with a head that is cooler than people inside the car. They are experiencing it first hand, and are vulnerable. They may not possess a level head of an outsider. Whatever Day and Night experience is valid. Day has just thrown out from a life he was building on. He is a college student with bright dreams. An ambition, friends, a crush and many more. All that just overturned in some moment. Now he is no longer the same. People around him view him differently. Before our hero Mhok came into the picture, Day was secluded in his room, completely devoid of any light, just darkness engulfing his whole persona. He no longer is a golden boy, a national athlete, a reliable younger brother, whatever he was before. He is a blind man now, someone who needs assistance to step out of his room(which none of his family members efficiently provided). He is now someone who lives his life recalling the cursed accident and wallowing in self pity. It is natural for him to consider himself as a victim. It is natural for him to see night as a villain, it is natural for him to brush off Night's effort. Day lost whoever he was during this time while Night lost nothing (at least nothing visibly.) What Day see afterwards the accident is a changed brother. Someone who treats him as fragile, who "takes care" of Day, someone who decides for him. Day is no longer a person to them. And he despises every minute of it. So he does things out of spite. Day regains a little bit of authority after Mhok. And he is evolving. He is making things right. He is changing. His thoughts are evolving. It's not easy to forgive and forget things. It might take a while. It's his journey towards acceptance. He will reach there.
Night's guilt is valid. He blamed himself for the accident and no one was there to correct him. He corrected his old behavior and accepted new things. Like protectiveness towards Day. It's a good thing. But his way of expressing it just irked Day. Night's protectiveness comes off as restrictions and him deciding what Day could do and not. He is deciding for both of them. Trying and miserably failing to live for both. And by that losing himself in the process.
We are seeing this story from outside. We see both of them. But they don't see each other. They don't show the changed version of themselves to each other. As long as that communication is missing, both of them will go on a circle.
It's not just Day that is hurting. Night too..
It's not just Night that is trying, Day too..
They are both victims. We can't just blame one for the suffering that another person is going through.
Also just because Day is the protagonist, it doesn't mean that he is immune to mistakes. He can and he will make mistakes. It's not a fairy tale. it's a journey of self acceptance. The path is rough and will make people stumble. That's okay. Because that makes us human.
Also why do characters have to be black or white? Why not grey? Is the color grey not pretty enough? Is she not appealing enough? 🥲

Hi Pia
I have freakin' loved Alois and Flitmouse ever since Golden Age and am feral for them in Underline too.
Do you have an estimate on when more of Underline the Gold will be posted?
I can't wait to read more about then.
Side note: you said in a previous ask that Anton had sex with Alois without explicit consent. I'm guessing because of a corrupted heat? Is that something we have to look forward to reading in detail in future chapters of UtG?
Hi anon!
If it's the ask I'm thinking of (and I apologise if it's not) I said this:
to Anton who might get consent from Flitmouse this time but certainly hasn’t in the past during heats
So like, what Anton and Flitmouse do might be what I'd call conditionally consensual (I don't know if Flitmouse would even consent if he didn't have heats, he wouldn't be at Hillview for a start, he'd have a choice in his partner/s etc.), Anton has been paired with other people where what he's doing certainly counts as rape by real world standards.
As for Underline the Gold, I'm hoping to get to it soon! Underline the Blue is up for February and March and then I think we'll switch back for a couple of months. :D
