Employee of the Month:

Candace also doubles as the unofficial manager because no one clowns when Candace is in.

Your ass is getting thrown out if you try it and her reputation is absolutely terrifying, so things are kept in relative peace.

Is really the only thing keeping the place running and the staff there sometimes.

Works The Night Shift, Throws Hands:

All of the people in this category will absolutely be down to clown at some point because it is 2 AM in the morning and they are tired, so trying them while on the night shift is a death sentence.

Diluc and Kaeya would fight each other if they're riled up, but if anyone tries it on their shift, they are getting teamed on by them.

Rosaria doesn't do overtime and that includes the night shift. The last time someone got up to something on her shift, their collarbone was shattered.

Shenhe simply being present is enough for most people to not try anything, but just in case, she can not only deflect furniture but throw knives with terrifying accuracy and put someone on life support. If she wasn't working there, she'd be instigating.

Tartaglia is an instigator but on the side of chaotic neutral. Fights are all well and fun, but if anyone messes with his coworkers on the shift, he's catching fades.

Yelan is mostly there because it's the only time she's awake; her coworkers swear that she gets off on the thrill somehow. Will occasionally participate in a beatdown if there's a need for more numbers.

Works The Day Shift, Can Mostly Throw Hands:

These people aren't weak by any means, but most of the clownery happens at night. They will get to stepping if it comes to that though.

Amber is one of the nicest people there, to be honest. Customers love it when it's her shift. Firm enough to not really have to resort to hands.

Itto is a big guy so people don't usually do anything. He tries to keep the peace while not escalating to violence but if the occasion calls for it though, he has his coworker's back.

Diona is a little girl, but she is a fighter. Putting her in this category because she has the experience and can break the new hires in.

Kazuha is a peaceable guy, really laid back and stuff like that, but some customers are still telling the tale of how he laid a guy out twice his size after he tried to rob the establishment.

Shinobu takes no shit, but I feel as if she'd be too busy at night to take that shift. Will clown a man if they try it.

Jean is great, friendly, and sociable. Treats the customers well and people don't like starting stuff when she's around. She also doubles as a sort of manager for the day shift.

Noelle isn't crazy enough to do the night shift, but everyone has the mind to be respectful of the petite girl who can benchpress ten grown men and rip off the counter with ease.

Xiangling is the cook. Customers go there for her food specifically. Anyone who tries it with her will be tried by the customers on her behalf.

Bystander, Can Throw Hands If Needed:

These individuals are customers, but will absolutely join the fray if they have to or feel the need to do so.

Aloy goes there on occasion and treats the staff with the proper respect. Will call out anyone not doing the same and will come to blows.

I debated putting Eula in the instigator section, but she doesn't instigate, others feel instigated in her presence and that's their problem. She will not tolerate others clowning on staff that actually treat her well and as such will go to the bat for them.

Ganyu doesn't look like it, but if you read some of her voice lines, you will understand how she can get worked up enough to throw hands. She's also a war veteran, so you know she wouldn't hesitate.

Thoma ran the fade for the criminal offense of scamming. Think of what he'd do to someone acting a fool when he's trying to eat his meal in peace.

Tighnari doesn't take shit, and this includes at Waffle House. Might not be able to clown, but he can tank it to shield someone else.

Eats There Regularly, Unbothered:

Albedo does not give a fuck about anything that happens as long as he gets to eat and leave. He's so quiet that people don't even notice he's there until he gets up to leave.

No one is stupid enough to do anything when Beidou is eating her meal. No one dares. The last person who did was put in a full-body cast.

Sleep-Walking Layla would go during the night shift and revel in the atmosphere, which is either giving empty or giving WWE. Layla has no idea why she tastes shitty coffee on her breath the next day.

Before you say Ningguang is too classy for Waffle House, consider that she would pretty much loiter at the place back in the day. She's more than used to the fighting in the background as she eats her grits.

Qiqi wouldn't process the body getting thrown through the window or the people screaming about a heroin addict with a gun in the background as she sips at her cold chocolate milk.

Venti and Zhongli would eat at Waffle House to catch up on old times. The old men watch the fights as free entertainment as they have nothing to do.

Caught In The Crossfire, Innocent:

These people are the victims of this tier list. They asked for nothing but a good meal and they got pain instead. You can feel bad for them.

Bennett is a given. Not only does his food go flying, but he does as well. Occasionally used as a human shield as he weights as much as a sack of potatoes.

Fischl and Razor went to Waffle House with Bennett, but someone grabbed Razor's hashbrowns and used them as a projectile and Fischl got a mug to the face.

Mona would inadvertently get beaten up for being mistaken for someone else or talking some mad shit and getting in the middle of it.

Sayu was thrown as a projectile at someone while she was asleep.

Sucrose was sleep-deprived and as such, did not process the things thrown at her or the chair that landed next to her.

Xinyan and Yun Jin went to crash there after a concert and it was at the wrong time. Xinyan gets some licks in though!

Yoimiya is deft enough to dodge most of the stuff flying everywhere, but she doesn't enjoy the circumstance. So perhaps she's a victim emotionally.

Records the Fights for The Memes™:

The title speaks for itself, but this is for the people that are filming the entire thing for either the laughs or their own entertainment.

Dori is going to upload this to her YouTube channel as a part of a meme compilation or some commentary, all while plugging her sponsors.

Hu Tao is recording this for advertising purposes: "It's better to get a coffin and arrange your funeral now because your life could be served up like this knuckle sandwich!"

Xingqiu is using this not only for the memes, but for inspiration for fight scenes and I say this because I have unironically done this more than once.

Instigator, Unintentional or Otherwise:

Instigators can either be considered people on absolute crack (literally or figuratively), general threats to the public, absolute dicks, or just being themselves.

Chongyun went with Xingqiu and got too fired up and then proceeded to pick a fight with someone, causing a litany of property damage. Xingqiu recorded the entire thing.

Klee casually pulled out a bomb that could level the entire block and started to play with it as a toy. Naturally, everyone in the restaurant and the general vicinity ran for their fucking lives.

Ei and Shenhe could not understand each other as they were talking, so instead of using their words, they used a spatula and a knife respectively. It got so insane that the video of it posted is one of the most regarded in the Waffle House fights genre.

Scaramouche would talk some mad shit and then get pissed when he got called out. So to save face, he swung at someone in the night shift crew. He has not come back since. If he wasn't instigating, he could work there.

Xiao would instigate with another customer in the establishment and it would carry over to the staff having to get involved. It could be argued that the customer was instigating him, but no one knows.

Yae Miko would start talking some mad shit and then somehow worm her way out of it and make herself look innocent. Mostly starts the fights.

Law Enforcement, Called After It's Done:

They are the people that are called as there are fights. Everyone usually scatters afterward, but on the occasion that there are stranglers, they catch them.

Cyno is a given. He will absolutely get involved and break it up if he sees it. He does not care what started it for whatever reason because that's not his job.

Gorou is a bit nicer in this regard and tries to get to the bottom of it, but make no mistake of him being soft because the bark has a bite.

He only comes in when there's some really suspicious activity around the fight at the Waffle House or in the surrounding area. Otherwise frequents Waffle House when Kazuha is on shift.

Keqing is getting really tired of being called up to that place. She's debating transferring somewhere else if only to avoid having to do this every time she's there.

When they say that Sara's there, everyone runs. They don't want to get on her record and they are afraid of her. She's the one that actually tries to get it to stop and the staff really appreciates it.

Yanfei isn't law enforcement per se, but is the legal assistance and mediator of a good chunk of conflicts. She is graciously paid with free food on the house.

Would Not Go At All:

The title says it all.

Aether and Lumine know better than to pick a fight with that place.

Barbara is too innocent, even for the crossfire.

Why would I wish that on Collei?

Faruzan would either Karen out or start getting a body count and I don't know if Waffle House would maintain the peace with her in the building.

The Kamisatos are better than that.

There's no question as to if she would have a body count or not, but Lisa is too tired for that shit.

Nahida prefers IHOP.

Nilou is peaceable and would actually be a good employee there, but she really likes what she has now and doesn't want to deal with that negativity.

Kokomi came up with a battle plan and five different strategies to fight off and take down the Waffle House staff for fun once. Unfortunately, the police were called and she is now under investigation for domestic terrorism. Understandably banned until further notice.

Aside from ASF, what are some of your favorite extreme horror films?

This reminded me, I've actually been meaning to make an extreme horror film tier meme thing lol.

I actually talk about other extreme horror films very often, but I guess ASF becomes what you're known for when people don't understand the reason I watch extreme horror over Hollywood horror. The reason is because I WANT to be disturbed, horrified, and feel uncomfortable when consuming horror media. So with that said. I'm going to list some of my favs that I recommend as well for people who are interested in getting into extreme horror or have yet to see.

Warning SPOLERS

Irreversible is absolutely one of my top extreme horror films. It's an absolute masterpiece and I feel like it truly portrays the reality and trauma and effects of sexual assault. As a victim, I appreciate traumatic things like SA being portrayed realistically, because it's important for people to understand the full extent of the suffering a victim experiences.

Cannibal Holocaust, as stereotypical as that may sound to say, my reasons are probably deeper than one would expect. I appreciate the film because of the political commentary, how it essentially flips what one goes in expecting on its head by showing that the group of Americans who go to make the documentary are actually the true monsters. I also think it's very impressive (and rather rare) to find extreme horror that delivers such a kick to gut without using or heavily focusing on child abuse. I think Irreversible is great for the same reason. The kick to the gut is much more out of left field given how much child abuse is used as a trope.

Trauma (2017) [nicknamed A Chilean Film]. I went into this blind and OH LORD I WILL ADMIT I WAS CAUGHT OFF GUARD AND EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE MORE THAN ONCE. definitely lived up to the nickname it's been given. There's an endurance test scene that is Irreversible tier and the fact the girl puts the gun in her mouth after experiencing that (only to be shot by Juan instead), shows how truly horrifically SA affects victims. I also appreciate the fact that Juan's own trauma was shown in flashbacks, giving an explanation but not an excuse of how he ended up the way he did. The end scene smacked me like the hand of God. Its a movie that does a good job at showing the cycle of abuse.

Salo, I wouldn't say is one of my top extreme horror films, but I'd say it's a must watch at least once. The commentary on fascism being horrid... 🙏

Now, this last one I'm going to mention, is not extreme horror but by far the movie that has left me the most disturbed and to this day: Threads (1984) you will be left very, very, very numb and never quite the same: "You cannot win a nuclear war!" -Threads, before nuclear war.

On a final note, I also am looking forward to rewatching August Underground again soon, I haven't seen it in YEARS and it's recently been officially distributed by the AMAZING @unearthed-films !!!

Hello hello, thank you again for another ask! It was quite a fun week, I appreciated the small change in theme I took for a bit, but it's nice to finally have a refreshed and updated look again now that we're back to normal.

Ranking the Warriors of Hope, huh? I've been asked this question a few times before, but I'm not sure if I've done it here yet? I can't quite recall. I do have a personal ranking though that hasn't changed and likely won't ever change, but I'll skip number 1 since I think it's pretty obvious who's taking that spot.

5. Kotoko Utsugi

Kotoko's cute. I think she's entertaining and a lot of her lines hit the mark when she's actually allowed to have depth (something that DR tends to fail on), and she probably has my favorite design when it comes to the Warriors of Hope. Her personality is funny and I just wanna give her a hug because of the horrible messes she's been through.

But in the grand scheme of things and appreciating her overall character, I just can't overlook the clutter of mishandling of the themes in her writing. The game didn't treat it with nearly enough respect as they should've, from the weird as hell shots of her underwear, to the whole motivation machine... thing. I have an obvious issue with that entire segment, but I at least see why Kotoko would act in such a way. But the fact they turned it into a minigame...? With the instructions for it ending off by basically telling the player to not enjoy themselves too much? Leaves such a sour taste in my mouth.

For the same reason characters like Mikan are low on my tier lists (though I don't actually dislike or hate any character, the lowest grade I give is just a 'god, I really don't care at all'.), Kotoko gets the same grade. Fun character, horrible handling and presentation.

4. Jataro Kemuri

Y'know, there's a bit of a gap between Kotoko and this one. Not that big, but enough that I can decisively say every time someone asks me who my least favorite Warrior of Hope is, I would say the former. Anyways, moving on to Jataro. I think one reason he's over here is because he suffers from what I call "middle character syndrome", where he doesn't 'die' early enough like Masaru to leave a first impression, or someone late like Nagisa to really set you up for the climax. He's stuck in the unfortunate spot of having to follow up from who came first.

But that doesn't mean I don't like him. I think his trauma and backstory is one of the more unique ways of portraying mental abuse. While I think they could've done a better job of actually giving us time to digest his story and see more context in what really happened, I think his attitude (and his voice actor: god bless Michelle Ruff, she does an incredible job) and how he's so ruthless because he loves being hated is intriguing.

It's not enough to get him that high, but for what it's worth, I enjoyed Jataro while he was on screen and I wish we got to see more of him and Masaru, they badly needed more screentime. Speaking of which...

3. Masaru Daimon

Ah, here's the boy. If you thought my issue with Jataro's screentime was bad, man - Masaru's issues go way bigger than that. This poor fella gets a total of two scenes to shine in - the part where the Warriors of Hope introduce themselves, and his boss fight. If you wanna be generous and make it three, then we can count his supposed funeral, but as far as I'm concerned, the only one who got any sort of character build there was Nagisa and Monaca.

So why is Masaru so up high on my list despite the fact that he, y'know. Barely even existed? It's because he left his mark and set the tone well for the rest of his members to follow up on. Establishing himself as an arrogant, noisy brat that you just wanna pummel in his intro, with making a few lines here and there that make way for light-heartedness (wieners!). And then, he shows his weak heart. Beating his arm up (that scene was and still is hard to watch btw) and making subtle references easy enough for the viewer to make inferences from. Building what's coming.

That's what Masaru does. He lays the blueprints down for the rest of the kids, and that they all have reasons for turning the way they did. Being the first example is as important as closing off the story, and Masaru despite how little time he got was able to pass that test.

2. Monaca Towa

Yep, it's pretty obvious who my second favorite Warrior of Hope is if you've been paying attention to my blog, lol. Monaca is a horrible and terrifying child. She has done plenty of things wrong. I want nothing more than for her to receive her comeuppance and get what she deserves. And that's why pickle satan is my second favorite Warrior of Hope, my favorite villain/main antagonist in the series, and one of my favorite characters in general. And it all roots back to what I believe is most important in a character - presentation.

Believe me when I say this; a character that annoys the viewer will always be worse than a character that repulses them. You want them to think 'oh screw this guy, i hope they get owned and beat eventually', absolutely not 'oh screw this guy, get them off my screen, i don't wanna see this anymore'. You want to have the audience desire their demise, not be so irritated by them that they don't even wanna continue seeing the story anymore. Monaca plays her role of the despicable villain incredibly. She is so easy to hate in the ways that you wanna see her get destroyed.

I could go for a long, long while about Monaca and make a post of her own, honestly. Her dynamic with Nagisa is a one-sided tragedy (that I honestly think is more co-dependent than most people realize.) that ends with her pulling off one of the most horrid scenes in the series by mentally destroying the psyche of another character to the point he can't even muster the will to fight her anymore.

Her whole motive - it's initially believed that Monaca wants to be the next generation of Junko Enoshima herself, but the more you look into it, the more hints the story gives, until the buildup where the plan was for it to be Komaru all along... it's an excellent build and subversion that makes sense. Her writing works. Her character works. Everything clicks with Monaca. I just wish her arc ended more satisfyingly in DR3, even if the absurdity of it was pretty funny. Monaca's great. Love her and I'll always write about her.

Mel's 2023 Reads 🎉🎉Tier List🎉🎉

F Tier

I would consider this tier the You Sucked Tier

These books all disappointed me in major ways. Some were just two short and underdeveloped whilst Insurgent was just a crime on humanity. It committed Character assassination badly and really underplayed abuse.

I was not the audience for the Leia book as its clearly for kids who aren't old enough too watch the Star Wars films.

Honestly I've had a pretty decent year F Tier is thankfully been minimal.

D Tier

I would consider this the Very Underwhelming Tier.

Sorry Marvel fans the Spider-Gwen comic would be higher if I didn't start with issue 5. It was cool okay I saw it at universal and went mine!! I also apologise to Good Omens fans. As a huge fan of the show I just didn't enjoy it. It works a lot better as a TV show. It was too crowded and I wish similar to the High Republic that there was individual pov chapters.

Allegiant I'm suprised I enjoyed it more then Insurgent but it didn't character assassinate Tris character but instead had weird new characters because the villians in the last book were defeated. I cried and the ending so therefore it belongs in D Tier. Old As Time was the most disappointing out of all of the Disney Twisted Tales I was expecting more. Some really good ideas that weren't fleshed out properly. I also found Belle really unlikeable in the first half of the book. I also wanted more Enchantress, her being Belles Mum was fascinating. Would still recommend though it has a beautiful message.

Again not bad for being one of the lowest tiers.

C Tier

I would consider this tier the Enjoyable But With Huge Flaws Tier.

The two books here I enjoyed but have too many major flaws holding them back. I'm suprised that there aren't more but then again 2023 has been a great reading year so I shouldn't.

Look I'm a new to the World of FNAF so I may not be able to accept weirdness. I also accept and respect The Creator didn't expect his game to be popular and as a result is new to writing but the second Fazbear Fright Book Fetch whilst improving on Into The Pits flaws had its own flaws to the point I couldn't put it further. Don't be angry FNAF fans.😰

I adored the Bullet Train movie and was super excited when I found out that it was a novel originally. But the outdated language, highly visible fatphobia and transphobia meant I couldn't put this any higher. I don't care the year it was published, call me a Snowflake but as a Trans Nonbinary Plush Sized person I do not want to read stories that mock my existence, so it's going in C tier. Still a really good story though.

I'm happy that most of my 41 reads ended up in B, A and S Tier

B Tier

I would consider this the Loved It But Could Have Been Better Tier.

Only six books in this tier again it's very surprising how many books have dodged this tier. I loved also this books but they had wasted potential and could have been better. They definitely would have been in A and S tier if they were.

I hope FNAF and Star Wars fans aren't angry at me but Darth Plagueis and Into The Pit absolutely deserve to be in B Tier. I loved Darth Plagueis as my first legends novel but the pacing was garbage fire. I would have much preferred a Trilogy where Book 1 is Plagueis's Backstory and Training With Darth Tenerbous till he kills him. Book 2 is Plagueis Grooming Palpatine to be his apprentice and then Book 3 takes place a few years before and then during Phantom Menace. It would have made the book feel less like 3 books squished into one. As for Into The Pit well, all three protagonists we're insufferable especially Millie in Count The Ways and the stories as a whole are to vague for me. The ending of Into The Pit had me scratching my head. I'm hoping I have a better time with the Tales Series.

As for the comics I haven't even Read Phase 2 yet so I was way too lost to properly enjoy The High Republic Adventures it also in genuine felt way to short. I loved Maz and Dexters appearances though. 2024 is looking to be the year I delve more into Doctor Who extended media with Big Finish having their first fifty stories free on Spotify but 2023 was a good start. Seventh Doctor comic was a pick up from the library and it was good but it also felt way too overcrowded with characters so in B Tier it goes.

I will come back to Plagueis someday and see how it goes but for now I'm super happy with my decisions.

A Tier

I would consider this the Amazing But Not Peak Tier. All the stories I really liked but they just missed a single step preventing it from being S Tier. Nine stories again which shocks me as it shows how generous I am.

Again hoping that fans of these novels are meant. I loved seeing my favourite prequel film turned into a Shakespearian play but unfortunately but unfortunately the source materials flaws stop this from being rated higher. It has however got me excited to read the orginal Trilogy Shakespeare plays.

Would have loved to put The Story Book Of Legends higher as well as it was very enjoyable and brought back alot of nostalgia for me involving Ever After High as it was basically my childhood but the world building is very nonchalant. It feels like if I hadn't been a fan of the orginal show I would have been dreadfully confused. I hope the next two stories in the Trilogy are less alienating when I get to them.

Bloodline and Spider-Man Hostile Takeover are definitely gonna be the most controversial. I loved Bloodline as a Leia Stan but I do not love Disney assassinating Leia and Han's relationship be like Satine and Obi-Wan. Leia even gave up being a jedi for her family. I just don't think that Han would listen to Leia and stay away whilst she's going through so much. Han would never be satisfied with only a video call. As for Hostile Takeover, Liss really messed up with one of the characters Anika she felt tropey and stale, only there to be Peter's over love interest option. Hostile Takeover is such a good Spider-Man story but Anika really let's down this book for me. Echo was written brilliantly I don't understand why Anika couldn't have been as well.

Congratulations to the books in A tier for coming very closer to S Tier though. 🎉🎉

S Tier

Welcome to the Peak Writing Tier it feels like I just give books the S Tier too generously but trust me when I say that these books have absolutely earned it. These books blew me away and are the reason why I've had to do a Tier list instead of a ranking. I'd mention all the books if I could but then this post would go on for hours so I'm just gonna mention three.

Claudia Gray dominated this year and has honestly become one of my favourite authors. The way she writes Leia is so masterful and awesome. Leia Princess Of Alderaan shined and hugely redeemed Holdo as a character for me. However as usual The High Republic lands on top as usual. Into The Dark By Claudia Gray blew my mind in all the best ways possible. It gave me a rollercoaster of emotions and I enjoyed the smaller cast of characters alot. Each character arc felt well done and hugely earnt. As a Star Wars fan I can say your missing out if you don't check out The High Republic in my opinion its so much better than the sequels cos all the writers actually sat down and talked with eachother laying out a clear plan. Peak Star Wars with amazing representation.

I got to go to my first authors talk this year and it was amazing. The Many Half Lived Lives Of Sam Sylvester is a book I wish I could have shipped off to younger Mel who had been bullied in High School for their Autistic traits and was so confused about their identity. Maya MacGregor is such a lovely person and a great author it was a privilege to meet them. They really did the queer Autistic community the representation we deserved. And their next book which I won an arc copy of was just as good. I will be following more of their stories in the future they deserve the hype.

Finally When Our Worlds Collided was an emotional book that brought out the rage in me. I hope this book gets put on the GCSE English curriculum and replaces the harmful stuff such as Of Mice And Men. As a lighter skinned biracial person I was heartbroken realising the struggles and injustices Black teens might face in the UK. I loved Chantelle, Jackson and Marc and how they managed to come together through tragedy and help eachother through their battles. So glad that I impulsively bought this July 2022. Everyone needs to read this especially if you are White. Read diversely people it's important.

Conclusion

Overall 2023 was a great reading year I'm excited to try dip into more nonfiction and fiction in 2024. I'm also listening to Doctor Who Big Finish this year which means my 2024 tier list will certainly be larger next year.

WHY?: Learned from the wrong place and will eventually pay the price.

Wicked With Reason: Hammer, Midnight Speaker Box, and Steve Cobs

WHY?: A. Hammer was born and raised in a toxic family system and was encouraged to embrace it. Maybe she isn't FULLY a monster.

B. Midnight had the fear of losing the spotlight because of being younger and because of the Announcer's occupation and fame. So he taints and taunts Announcer's fame, and abuses him in an attempt to break the spotlight.

C. Cobs abuses MePhone4 and the MePhones because he was abused by his own parents, passing it down to him. (Headcanon!)

WHY?: She may not be TOO bad in some cases, but the "redeemable" part sticks out to me, soooo...

Actively Antagonistic: Pan*, Firey

WHY?: A. Pan doesn't choose to or get roped into being an antagonist a lot, but when either happens and they DO become an antagonist, they are VERY good at being a threat.

*Note that Pan will not ALWAYS accept being an antagonist, so this ONLY applies to when they do accept.

B. Firey, in my BFDI AU, is mainly known for an antagonistic character in some cases, mainly towards Leafy and some of the other contestants. His boyfriend Coiny doesn't fully follow in his footsteps, but Coiny doesn't show remorse sometimes. Not to mention that Firey sometimes has antagonized his boyfriend, that of which he mainly doesn't do anymore. But still.

Letters To Match AU Firey, on the other hand, would be worse in more ways, such as intentionally murdering Match.

Irrationally Impulsive: Picture Frame

WHY?: She was able to antagonize various members of Soapy's friend group and made horrible decisions, albeit many were made without thinking or intended to be able to make Pan hers again. This changed somewhat after she got turned into an eldritch monster. Still then, impulse would be present. Plus, she may not have full control of her body then.

Naughty Not Haughty: Trippy

WHY?: They may show to be an antagonist in some cases, but not a majority of the time. Heck, they even had to deal with the wrath of T-Del's once abusive behavior. Basically, they can do bad things, but almost never be a full villain - other than taking Tubey's body and life.

Mild Child: Shardy Glass

WHY?: While she was in a bad household and hurt others because of that, she was only a bully. Yes, she hurt others physically and mentally, but she was taught properly by her adoptive parents and, therefore, was reformed. She no longer has antagonistic intentions, even if she was pressured to antagonize others. She intends to leave the past behind.

One-Timer: Flasky

WHY?: She was cruel towards others and careless, however that changed almost the minute (or day) she was infected with Trippy's virus. She slowly continues to reform and lose interest in being careless and oblivious under tech.

Not Even Trying: None

I did a tier list of the Markiplier Egos, so I thought I’d share it here – and, yes, perhaps some of these ratings indicate who I like to write, sue me. So, bottom to top, here it is:

Actor: Super Hell

         I goddamn hate Actor, as you could probably figure out. He’s a prissy bitch, who deserved everything that came to him. Okay, that might’ve been a bit of an exaggeration, but Jesus Christ do I hate him, mainly for causing Damien’s death, plus everything else, but mainly that. He deserves less than Super Hell, but that is the bottom of the barrel.

E-Boy Mark: F

         Reminded me too much of my boy Bing, and I did Not like it. Plus, I have the same tiger pattern on one of my jackets, and I did not want to be associated with this E-Boy. So, F tier.

Ed Edgar: F

         I hate babies. Simple as that. Props for being a cowboy aesthetic, but that mustache knocked him back down into F tier.

Derek Derekson: F

         Need I say anything? He’s abusive and a bitch, and I care too much about my baby Eric to put him any higher. I would put him lower, but Super Hell is reserved for Actor. F.

Silver Shephard: E

         I haven’t seen anything about him, except for the skit with all the other egos, in which I also did not see much. Cool costume, but no clue. E.

Dr. Iplier: E

         Again, not much. To be honest, both of the Egos in the E tier are ones I haven’t seen much of but know about. Hence, the doctor is here. Nice catchphrase, E tier.

Yandereiplier: D

         The animation is cool, I’ve always liked horror-blood elements, and the pictures of Yandere have the red hair, which I am a fan of. However, the game itself is a point down, and he is only for the sim, so D tier.

King of the Squirrels: D

         A classic start to the Ego train, so points given, but points taken away because I am not a huge fan of peanut butter. Squirrels I love, though, so again. Hence, D tier.

Bill: C

         Okay, so I haven’t seen the video he comes from actually, but I did see one clip of him saying ‘Oh, honey, no’ and, boy, did I feel flustered, and I don’t even know why! It was just weirdly sweet and reflects the kinda stuff you see in my S tiered Egos. But, alas, he’s not all that common in videos, so C.

Bim Trimmer: C

         I don’t know either, man, he’s just a funny guy. The image I have for him is so stupid, and he’s Bim Trimmer??? C’mon. C tier.

The Colonel: C

         Being separate from Wilford, he’s kinda lacking in substance compared to him, but I get it. Cuckolded a dude, which isn’t a great start, but it’s Actor, so I don’t care. Says ‘bully’, which is fun, but he does kill the viewer, so points off for him, putting him in C.

Google(s): C

         Might be influenced by my having a fic in the works for him, but I am also a sucker for AI, android stuff. Plus, the fanart I see for him is always cute. Him being rude to Bing takes him down a notch, though, so C.

Heehoo: C

         The concept of this guy is so funny to me – like, Jesus Christ, the Markiplier runs into the wild, completely naked, save for maybe shoes, of all things, and is fine??? The long hair pushes it over D, but the lack of a voice keeps him in C.

The Nightguard: C

         It’s mainly for the musical itself, and that one moment when he leans in and says ‘I killed a guy’ because obviously. Not to mention it’s Mark singing. However, this one can be excluded from being an ego because it is basing off of a pre-established character. So, C tier.

Captain Magnum: C

         I haven’t gone through his ending yet in AHWM (sue me, I got Yancy first), but I do love pirates ;) but I don’t love beards. Personal preference, it just takes away from the face. Basically, the aesthetic alone brings it into C tier.

Annus: B

         Now, I did watch, uh, [redacted] – catch my favorite video being the A.I generated basically fanfictions – and I loved the whole concept of it! The ending, especially during covid, kinda helped me get used to death and the idea of having to die in the end. However, some of this does not extend to the ego of Annus. I feel like there was a lot more they could have done with both Annus and Unus, but I understand that most of the audience would not have wanted it to be fully cryptid and ARG-esque, so B is both the lowest and highest I can go with him. I do love suits, though. 

Eric Derekson: B

         I have seen next to nothing about this boy! And I love him :D! He’s just so cute in everything I’ve seen and read. Solid B tier for the cute side, anyway. 

The Jims: B

         Honestly, it’s a goof ego, and I like that. The stupid movements and the little side bit about WKM made me happy after the sad events, and I saw them in Space, so I’m happy to put them at B, as a collective, of course.

Monster Gulch Mark: B

         I’m a sucker for apocalypses, man. The casual murder plot caught my eye, and then the second song was a banger, too. I was super disappointed when nothing ever came out from Monster Gulch again, and I appreciate the running water thing, if you know what I mean by that. So, for both Mark in this and the musical in general, B tier.

God of Night: B

         Dope aesthetic and I am a sucker for deity-stuff. However, I do not have the attention span to watch a 3+ hour video where he is not in all of it, and was, maybe, recorded without a hard script? I don’t know, but I know I should watch it considering I have a fic queued for him. Cool concept, but I can’t watch so much of that in one go. B tier.

Noir: A

         You remember that I said I love suits, right? Well, this guy, in a disheveled suit, the noir aesthetic – one that I loved since I saw Into the Spider-Verse – and the voice over??? A tier, and I will take no comments. Also, there’s something to be said about how the lower tiers tend to have the cocky-know-it-all egos, and the higher tiers are soft guys. This, the A tier, is a weird exception.

Murdock: A

         No. 1, the murder – no. 2, the vibe – no. 3, the outfit! The moment I saw Murdock, I had to put the screen down and go for a walk. You’ve seen this man, you understand what I mean. A tier, for everything he’s involved in.

Dark: A

         This is probably lower than a lot of people would put him, and I’m still debating putting him higher, but A tier is the least I will go. Again, there’s the suit, plus, I’m a fan of the glitchy, multi-emotion thing he has going on. However, as many of you will remember, he did shove the viewer into a mirror and steal their body. Not great on his part, but he is against Actor, and the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Hence, A tier, plus he does stage himself sexily on that desk, so…

Engineer: A

         This guy is plain cute. He’s devoted, he’s hard-working, he appreciates the aesthetics! He really should be in A+ tier, considering I have a sticker of him, too, except for one tiny snag. Actor. He is the source of all my trouble and complicates things in the theory sense. Is Engineer actually Actor? We don’t know, and I don’t like to think I would put anyone related to Actor in A+. So, sorry, my dear boy, he has to be in A tier.

Bing: A+

         If you’ve seen my other posts, you may already understand why he’s here, but I will reiterate for every who doesn’t know. I don’t know what it is, but the dumb, skateboarder-bro, with a heart of gold is a thing I love. The glasses are cool, the orange I adore, and an android? C’mon, I can’t put him anywhere but A+. (I also have a sticker of him on the laptop I am currently writing this on)

Host: A+

         I had to go searching for Host after the sketch with all of the egos in it, and, boy, was I overjoyed to find him. The blind-fold and narrator bit, and a couple of fics I’ve read influenced this decision. A+ tier, but it’s a controversial one. (Another that I have a sticker of)

Wilford: A+

         Yeah, this is just where he belongs. S tier is reserved for two egos here, and so Wilford is a banger in A+ tier. The whole fruity-bisexual-timelord thing is amazing, and, as far as character design goes, oof, the fluffy hair, slightly unbuttoned shirt? I am swooning. A+ tier. (Also, a sticker)

Illinois: A+

         This guy has two belts. What a dude. And the flirty thing I appreciate, the whip cracks, as well. Him walking backwards through a bunch of traps is pique douche, but in an oh-my-god-he’s-going-to-get-himself-killed-better-help-him kind of way. Like pulling a drowning dog out of a pool and them shaking off. A+.

Can you guys guess who’s at the top of this list? If you can’t, lemme tell you. 

Damien: S

         Damien is my comfort character, and that sucks because – spoilers – he is dead. I forgive him for shoving the viewer into a mirror, solely for his adorable personality and all of the fics people have for him prior to poker night. The ‘little monster’ nickname has me squealing every time I hear it, and I could fully write an essay on his character. Fuck Actor for killing him, and fuck anyone who doesn’t think he’s amazing. Solid S tier, no questions. 

Yancy: S

         Objectively the best character. He was my first ending in AHWM, I love his song, he applied for parole??? Look at that man, listen to him talk – the accent omg – and tell me, genuinely, that you would not do anything for him. Look me in the eyes and tell me that he isn’t the light of your life. ‘Free as a buird’ – gods, he’s adorable, and a sticker that I have on the inside of my laptop, to boot!

‼️SPOILER ALERT FOR HELLUVA BOSS S2 E3 EXES AND OOHS‼️

I know this post is pretty late considering that the episode came out last Saturday and I apologize for that, but I still wanted to just make a nice quick and easy recap giving my overall thoughts.

But in short, omg this episode was fantastic! The entire time I felt like I was on a crazy roller coaster ride of emotions. I went from laughing, to crying, to laughing again, to being on the edge of my seat, and so much more. The deep emotional moments hit so hard for me. And it feels like the animation keeps getting better and better with every new episode. The fight scene near the end where Millie went off on a full-blown killing spree was the top tier highlight of the entire show's animation for me, even topping the fight scene from S1 E6 Truth Seekers imo, and that's saying a lot. What I also loved about that scene was that it shows just how powerful and a badass Millie can become when you anger her enough. You do not wanna be messing with her! >:) She is so protective of her husband, and you do not dare touch him or she will unleash her full fury out on you. And that scene really drove the point of the whole episode home that Millie and Moxxie's relationship is just so healthy and strong and not a force to be reckoned with. Not a single thing in Hell can tear them apart from each other.

And don't even get me started on this episode touching on Moxxie's backstory! When I said I was crying at one point in this I was not joking. I already had a feeling that his dad Crimson was not somebody to be trusted before this episode came out, but holy shit, I was not at all prepared to see just how evil and vile this character truly is. He is not only homophobic, sexist, and abusive to his own child, but the fact that he had the gall to straight up murder his own wife??!! Yeah... he's officially at the top of my list for worst Helluva Boss character now. Geez and I thought Stella was horrible, but Crimson has got even Stella beat at this point. And poor Moxxie did not deserve having to grow up in such a hostile environment and go through all that trauma. By the looks of the very end of the episode it seems like this won't be the last time we'll be seeing Crimson. This seems to be a set up for him to be a returning villain and I am all here for it.

As much as I didn't like Chaz because of him being an f-boy who sleeps around and just a really cringy character overall, I have to give credit where it's due and say that he was written very well and I do love his design and voice actor. Though I'm gonna be completely honest, part of me was kinda relieved that he got killed off at the end lol I just did not enjoy watching this selfish arrogant horny dude who was all talk and no show try to interfere with M&M's precious marriage.

Oh yeah and one other thing, why is nobody else talking about how Moxxie is such perfect bisexual representation? 💗💜💙 Being bi myself I just couldn't help but feel so seen the moment he confirmed it. Loona has always been my favorite character since the very beginning, but after this episode, I think Moxxie might just be a close second (and also because he's voiced by my all-time favorite voice actor Richard Horvitz).

Now the only thing that disappointed me about this episode was that Loona was barely in it at all. I was really hoping for more Loona moments, I missed seeing my baby wolf girl so much! 😢

So to sum this all up, I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. It was definitely worth the long wait. This show has not yet once failed to impress me. I hope it continues to head in the right direction and I cannot wait for the next episode! ❤️🖤🤍😈

1! Yes, the city story kids do many illegal things. I've listed them in another ask, Rune and Moss in particular participate in regular theft in a Robin Hood type manner.

2! City story again. Nobody is fond of the government. They're not actively working against it but have plenty of gripes, specifically with law enforcement. Jet, Copper, and Rune all grew up with privilege, so they're actively aware of how it's going to be to bring Max to justice.

3! I think my current oldest are the twins Kena and Kyt, who I originally thought of in 2010. They're from Rain Story.

4! Myr, from space story. They've got at least a millenia under their belt by the time the story starts.

5! Hard to say, but these days it flips between city and youth story. I love the cast of both of them, especially the specific character dynamics.

6! No. I have a list of all of them, but it's really hard to rank them. I did have that one ask where I ranked them by genre, so I guess I could do that kind of tier list.

7! Um, I've definitely written specific stuff in the past, but from recent times, either Zan's first death in summon story or that story about a man who becomes an automaton.

8! In city story it's every time we hear about or witness Max's abuse. In mercenary story it's hearing about Yadsmyn's war experiences or Tav's multiple attempts of abandonment. In rain story it's Jaino's despair.

9! Names? I don't think so. I either go with letters and sounds I like or else just pulled from nature.

10! I don't go looking for inspiration, most of the time. I just happen upon it. Unless I'm worldbuilding and looking for specific textiles or something.

11! Only in the wips that actually have supernatural or fantasy creatures. While all my contemporary works are at least a touch surreal, unless I actually put supernatural elements in my wips, nobody has any beliefs in those things.

12! Guild, rain, mercenary, and summon stories have created religions, but I haven't put a ton of thought into them yet.

13! I've created alien races but not languages for them. These days I stick to creating creatures, odd words of languages, and idioms with not necessarily explained contexts.

Mortal Kombat 11 endings I've seen and what I think about them (spoilers ahead)

Tier list so you know who I have seen the endings for so far (bottom tier is the ones I have not seen yet):

Erron Black: 10/10 became keeper of time, went "fuck this." And dumped the hourglass into the Sea of Blood. Based.

Sonya Blade: 10/10 made her friends and family into gods after slaying what I can only assume was Cthulhu. Boss.

Sub-Zero: 10/10 redeemed his brother and redeemed the Lin Kuei's honor. Joint Grandmasters. Brothers.

Cetrion: 4/10 started to give off abusive vibes. ('If I bring them to their lowest, they'll come crawling back to me' vibes. Like, I know that she's likely once again just misguided here, but holy fuck, Cetrion. Stop it, get some help.) Bad.

Johnny Cage: 10/10 All he changed was making it so Sonya Blade doesn't die and still loves him. Understandable.

Kabal: 9.5/10 Good for him. I don't know how to summarize his ending, but good for him. I think he's not burned, and a dad in his ending. -.5 because I was worried that his ending would be just "I decided to kill everyone". Dad!Kabal/10

Kano: 7/10 he changes his mind, from "I want to have everything I have ever wanted just handed to me" to "... that's fucking boring, I'm going to make it so it's always just out of reach". -3 points because I wanted to kick him in the balls during the first half. Bastard.

Fujin: ∞/10 He's so wholesome???? I love it??? Didn't understand the daily lives of mortals, so he used the hourglass to live many lives and then decided to make world peace. I love this guy. Best ending so far, I almost cried from how wholesome this was. Beloved.

Noob Saibot: 10/10 He went "fuck Kronika" and, at the end of it, he said the quote "now I am become Death, destroyer of worlds". Badass.

Rambo: 15/10 (Since my phone deleted my initial reasoning and I'm Not In The Mood To Rewrite All That, no context.)

Rain: 10/10 His ending might be a bit evil, but his dad definitely deserved it, at least. iffy about everything else he did.

Aaaand now to the infamous LO review that I've put off until now because I wanted to inform my own opinion and not just try to grind against hers. And yes I'm actually gonna detail my response out below even though I'm getting a computer soon and can make videos again. Yay~

She doesn't like isekai, which is fair. There's a bloat of low quality isekai hitting anime stands the past few years.

Madoka Magica - is she trying to say Princess Tutu, RGU, Sailor Moon, and Cardcaptor Sakura are all deconstructions of the magical girl genre? I can't speak to RGU but Princess Tutu is more a deconstruction of fairy tales imo, not magical girl stories. And then SU pops up on its own?

Oreimo - haven't heard of it but the fact that the younger sister is apparently an otaku with a younger sister focus is... LO why is this one of your examples

I don't like that Princess Tutu is in her S tier anime list. It means we agree on something being good. Hamtaro is harmless. I know Spy x Family is supposed to be good, but I've not been a fan of Yor Briar and her lack of character. Also, funny to note Yor's brother's infatuation with her. Princess Knight looks like it'd be really interesting and it's from a time when women's right to vote was very new in Japan. I look at the clear problems that this might bring up and look at LO's disdain for Rocky Horror and raise a knowing eyebrow.

FMA Brotherhood is brought up now. Wonder why she dislikes it.

She complains that she was different from the other boys (talks about presumed gender) by not liking Naruto or Inuyasha. A ton of girls watched Inuyasha LO.

I remember Sai mentioning that LO would criticize domestic abuse, so I'm marking this here for future scripting needs that LO straight up jokes about water boarding.

Mention of moe art style working for the wide-eyed naivete but no mention of the actual rest of the world and art style being drop dead gorgeous most of the time (yet).

Since it's brought up by LO I do wonder about how Mari is supposed to become more independent when the conceit of the show is her latching onto someone else's dream.

Interesting that LO brings up the seduce the men scene and how it's usually an instant no for her. Why wasn't it this time?

LO really does like the most childish moments.

Most of the review was genuinely just her giving a synopsis so let's look at this and go point by point

POSITIVES

A cast full of lovable girls -- yeah okay I guess.

A story about grief, loneliness, and perseverance -- There are hints of it here and there, mostly with Antarctica girl and the adults or Yuzuki's struggle with friendship, but really that's it. There's also nothing about perseverance. All the hard work is done before the show even starts.

A perfect mixture of optimistic glee, delightful cringe, and heart yanking sadness -- I don't think she and I agree on what is cringe here.

Every character is playing against some dumb archetype and I love it -- what the fuck? This isn't in her review and also what does she even mean? They're fairly flat and archetypical.

I love these adorable little shit disturbers so much -- what shit got disturbed?

Beautiful animation -- agreed.

melodrama (affectionate) -- melodrama (kinda boring)

NEUTRALS

contemporary setting -- ???

miniseries -- ??????

NEGATIVES

One scene of minors shaking their breasts at the camera -- and also constant jokes about the men on the expedition not going after them

Don’t Let Amber Become The Next Britney (It’s Not Too Late to Apologize to Amber Heard)

If you're reading this, I want you to know I'm angry. In fact, I'm fucking furious right now. Probably at you, whoever you are, currently reading this post right now. Do I know you? Unlikely, but I don't really think I need to because I know your type. If you're the average social media user right now, whatever you believe about the MeToo Movement, you're doing a whole lot of sympathizing with Johnny Depp and his legion of anti-feminist fanboys spreading misinformation on his behalf. And if you are, if you believe the lies spreading like wildfire all over social media right now, well, shame on you. Shame on you and your performative activism. Shame on you and your willingness to accept whatever a pretty, well-known, filthy rich white male celebrity says at face-value. Shame on you for not decentering male voices in literally any topic ever. Shame on you, especially if you claim to be a leftist or a champion of women's issues, for letting the right bamboozle you yet again. Shame on you if you are taking this farce of a lawsuit as anything other than a really pathetic attempt to discredit Amber Heard.

But, Clueless, you're saying to yourself, haven't you seen the trial on TV? Didn't you hear that recording of Amber admitting to abusing him? How can you still be on her side, after all that evidence in court Johnny provided? Yeah, that'd be great and all, if the "evidence" you're referring to wasn't a bunch of piling hot garbage that consists of an alleged abuser's lying testimony about every piece of physical evidence in the case. Don't believe me? Don't worry, I'll list all my sources for you to do your own research, because I know NONE of you johnny-truthers bothered to do any yourself. Let me be clear, this is the first time in American history I've ever seen an abuse victim sue their abuser for defamation of character, especially if they have all this evidence that they've been abused. In fact, if you google the search phrase "abuse victim sues abuser for defamation of character case," the only results you get (that aren't domestic violence groups with advice on what to do if your abuser sues you for defamation of character) are other high profile cases of alleged abusers suing "liars" like Kesha and Evan Rachel Wood. Yes, you read that line correctly. Other high-profile defamation of character lawsuits include abusers like Dr. Luke and Marilyn Manson suing their own victims of abuse. If that fact alone isn't enough to immediately cause your heart to drop to your stomach, well, you're probably an alt-right MRA. Everyone else, congrats, you've fallen for the lies of ill-intentioned white men (...yet again).

But, Clueless, you say, how was I supposed to know that defamation of character lawsuits are a common abuser tactic? And you know what, I might have been more forgiving of your performative activism if it wasn't for the fact that this case has been public knowledge since 2016. It's been six years since Amber Heard first accused Johnny Depp of abusing her, and there is frankly no excuse for how easily you ALL fell for the lies being spread by these anti-feminists (especially since these lies have been public knowledge for YEARS at this point) when a simple google search would have saved you all a lot of embarrassment. How many times do we need to have the same discussions before you guys actually fucking change your behaviors and assumptions about the world? I know, I know, some of you may be thinking, well if I was accused of abuse and I didn't do it, I'd sue them too if I lost my career over it? And to that, I say, what a lovely rape apologist thought to have.

And before you sprout your excuses of how you're NOT a rape apologist, let me remind you that the entire reason I'm writing this article is because YOU are the one believing an abuser over his victim right now. If you've managed to read this far into this article, I'm sure you know all about the rape culture pyramid and the different tiers, one of which being the normalization of thoughts and attitudes tier. I'm sorry to break it to you but that line of thinking is baked with rape culture values. In fact, it's predicated on this idea that sometimes, even if rarely, people will lie about abuse and sexual violence for personal or financial gain. I'm sorry, but if this entire shit-show of trial doesn't prove to you that every public victim of ANY celebrity is telling the truth always, you're a lost cause. I don't know ANY woman who sees the truth in Amber, who believes in victims truly, that would willingly sign up for the gaslighting society performs on abusers' behalf if they speak up. In fact, I can't take you seriously if you think there's even a possibility of any woman lying about abuse at the hands of any male celebrity in this political minefield. I don't think there is enough money in the world for me to experience what Amber is dealing with right now, let alone deal with it in front of the entire world. And if you think there is any woman who would take that deal, you're probably sexist and have a negative view of women.

But, Clueless, there's a first time for everything, you say. Maybe Johnny really is the first abuse victim ever to file for a defamation lawsuit in American history. Don't worry, I'm a fair debater, I'll meet you where you are right now and give you this point, okay. Let's say that Johnny Depp is an abuse victim who is suing his abuser for defamation of character. In the US, defamation claims are notoriously difficult to win because the plaintiff has prove the statement to be false and also damage occurred specifically because of the false statement. As you might be aware, Depp also sued The Sun in the UK in 2020 but ultimately lost. Despite what the alt-right MRAs want you to believe, defamation cases in the UK are way easier to win due to the fact that the plaintiff only has to prove that damage occurred because of the defamatory statements. The UK court system automatically presumes the statement is false to begin with.  In other words, Johnny Depp's legal team couldn't even prove that the sun article caused him to lose any roles or ruined his reputation in any way. This is because, despite what his fanboys are claiming, Depp's career was already in the shitter because of his own wrong-doings over the years (did we forget his history of abuse on work sets, guys?).

So, if Depp didn't win in the UK, where he was expected to, in what universe do you think he is going to be able to prove that Amber's 2018 Washington Post article is defamatory in any way, shape or form? Feel free to open a new tab and look for that article yourself. It's still up on their website, you can see for yourself how there is not one false statement in the entire piece. In fact, their team is suing over half a sentence that reads, and I quote, "two years ago, I became a public figure representing domestic abuse" because that is the only, even slight reference to Depp himself in the entire thing. Unless I'm mistaken, Amber Heard did in fact become a public figure representing domestic abuse in 2016, so where exactly is the lie, here? Because, again, remember, in order for you Americans to win a defamation claim, you need to prove FALSE statements damaged your reputation. Okay, but none of this proves he's actually the abuser in this whole thing, Clueless.

And sure, you're right, none of that says anything about the abuse he claims to have suffered at Amber's hands. But I'm assuming you have some rudimentary critical thinking skills if you're still with me, so let's ask ourselves some questions, shall we? Why would Depp want to continue with this defamation lawsuit after losing the easier version in the UK? Depp claimed in court that he doesn't want his fans to be hurt by these allegations (very telling of his narcissism to me, but I'm not his doctor so I'll refrain from diagnosing him) and he is obsessed with truth. If that's the case, why not just press charges against Amber? After all, you guys are claiming he has all this evidence proving he's been abused. He wants to get the truth out there, so why not take the evidence that you all are using to crucify Amber with and go to trial for domestic abuse? Could it, in fact, be because he is well aware of just how much evidence Amber has to prove otherwise and a defamation lawsuit in the US is the perfect way to run a smear campaign, even if he ultimately loses? Criminal defense attorney Sara Azar said it best, "this is Depp's chance to take the stink off his name. Even if he doesn't prevail, I think this is his day in court."  I don't know about you all, but this sure is starting to look like a duck and quack like a duck to me.

But, don't forget, his fanboys are claiming he "proved" Amber was lying in court. There's audio recordings of her saying such awful things to him, and text messages where she says she wants to fuck his burnt corpse, and photographic evidence of penises she drew on the wall after cutting his finger off. No, wait, that's the evidence that was provided by Amber Heard two years ago for the UK trial (and most likely part of her evidence in this trial, since we haven't actually heard her testimony yet). Yes, you read that correctly. Johnny Depp liked to text his friends and co-stars things like burning Amber alive and fucking her corpse afterwards to make sure she was really dead, when he wasn't calling her all sorts of names like cunt, whore, bitch. And if you're wondering if Johnny provided any counter-evidence of Amber texting her friends and family such evil shit to make his allegation of abuse credible, don't worry! He didn't. Because, well, we've already established that I think of him as an abusive piece of shit. And no, having just text messages alone isn't enough to prove he abused  her but it's a good thing Amber has a shit-load more evidence to support her version of events.

Like, for example, photographic evidence of the messages that Johnny Depp has admitted in this trial to drawing on the wall after he claims she cut his finger off with a vodka bottle that she threw at him. Besides the obvious fucking physical flaw with this argument, do we seriously believe that an abuse victim who gets his finger cut off would then use that blood to draw a penis on the walls and dip that same finger into paint to write messages like "billy bob and easy amber" and "good luck and be careful at top" as it seemed like good advice, according to Depp's own testimony? Or is it more plausible that a narcissistic abuser would cut his own finger off and write on the walls during a heated argument he starts about an imagined affair between the two co-stars? This is in line with text message evidence of Johnny stating at the time of the incident that he was the one who cut his finger off (several text messages, to several different people, in fact). I'm not even going to  start on the fact that his sworn testimony in court states that Amber threw a vodka bottle at him and the shard from the explosion somehow cut his finger to the point where he could see bone sticking out, while also admitting that he did also dip that same finger into paint after the blood dried. Try to imagine that scene in your heard for a minute, and how a broken vodka bottle shard could exert enough force to cut to the bone in a freak accident like that? In case you need it spelled out, that means that your golden boy is actively LYING on the stand right now about physical evidence that he knows exists.

Okay, but that doesn't prove Amber wasn't abusive to Johnny as well! Mutual abuse exists, Clueless, did you forget about that? No, actually, I didn't because "mutual abuse" is not a real term. It's a sexist dog-whistle that refers to something called "reactive abuse." Despite abuse being in the name, this is actually a phenomenon that occurs in an abusive relationship when the abuser has pushed their victim into reacting in a less-than-ideal fashion (i.e. hitting them back, saying awful insults). The abuser will then use that incidence as proof that they are in fact the victim in the relationship, or what we informally call "gaslighting." In no way, shape or form does this mean that the victim is not actually being abused or is a bad person for reacting in a normal way to the abuse they experience. However, it is important for you to recognize that the only people who use this phrase are sexist assholes who want to discredit the believability of all victims and to stop running with this narrative that relationships can be mutually abusive, if you want to be an actual ally to women. While relationships can be mutually TOXIC, abuse requires a power dynamic of some sort to be present. This is because there is always a primary aggressor in abuse, and that is usually the person with the most power over the other. I also want to remind you that one of the responses to trauma is in fact, fighting. That doesn't always mean that the person who fights back is in fact the abuser or not being abused if they are unable to get out even while fighting back.

And, while we're on power dynamics that can exist in a relationship, let's talk about how so many of you are not talking about how exactly a 25 year old no-name actress managed to have any power imbalance over world-famous 47 year old Johnny Depp, an actor already beloved by many for his pirate role. While I do believe average everyday women can abuse average everyday men, let's not act like Johnny's wealth and status didn't work together with the significant age gap to create a power imbalance in HIS favor. While I could maybe accept the fact that one or two of these factors are not enough to say for sure he had the power in their relationship, all three being present at once makes this impossible for anyone who has any working knowledge of abuse to actually believe. Especially combined with the text and email evidence of Johnny Depp admitting to bad behavior towards Amber that was once again presented at the 2020 UK Trial (yes, I am reminding you that all of this is public information and has been for years. no there really is no excuse for why you believed him). And before I go any further, I want to make it clear that I do support male DV victims. I just don't support abusers taking advantage of our court system to terrorize their victims.

Okay, clueless, but you're just ignoring that amber admitting to hitting him in the ear and told him to  "tell the world, Johnny, tell them ‘I, Johnny Depp, a man, I’m a victim, too, of domestic violence… and it’s a fair fight.’ And see how many people believe or side with you"! That proves that she made the whole thing up and she's the bad guy! Sorry to burst your bubble (I'm actually not), but with all the physical and historical evidence that Amber has, two recordings mean nothing to me. Remember what I told you about reactive abuse? Yeah, that's what those recordings are. Depp, the abuser, pushes and pushes and pushes until his victim snaps and he's able to record her saying semi-fucked up things to prove he's the victim instead. Because at this point, two recordings against hundreds of texts and emails and photographic evidence is adding up to a whole lot of nothing. However, I will paint two very common abuse situations that can easily explain these recordings away.

First, imagine you are in a fight with your abuser. It's a nasty screaming match with your partner hurling lies and the worst insults they could think of (a man who jokes about fucking burnt corpses probably knows quite a bit) over and over again while you are trying to make them see reason. They strike you, you defend yourself by hitting them in the ear. They were waiting for this so they exclaim, "wow, I can't believe you punched me," the words feeling like ice-cold water splashing over you. Regret and shame and guilt build up as you try to explain to them that you "didn't actually punch them, you hit them in the ear. not punching." It's easy to see how that type of recording can be misconstrued by your abuser in court later on.

Another scenario, in which you're meeting up with your abuser after divorcing him. He is trying to get you to back down and take back your abuse allegations, you refuse. You tell him you have all this evidence against him and you're going to continue to press charges. He tries to blackmail you with his own "evidence" and states that he'll tell the world that he's the abuse victim in the relationship, to which you tell him that nobody is going to believe him. Again, it's easy to see how that type of recording can be misconstrued by your abuser in court later on.

But, Clueless, that's just YOUR interpretation of the recordings; you cannot definitely call them reactive abuse situations without the full context. You're 100% correct on that, but at this point, if you believe anything that Johnny Depp has said on the stand, you're willfully ignoring the mountains of physical evidence contradicting him. It's not just that he has lied in court and been called out on those lies repeatedly, but the mental gymnastics you would have to do to accept these recordings as evidence of abuse but not the text messages, emails, letters, doctors records, photographs, etc. that Amber has previously submitted for evidence is inconceivable. When you're weighing two sides of an argument, the side that has the most evidence should win out, don't you think?

So far, we've established that Johnny Depp is a fucking liar and the evidence is in direct conflict with his version of events.  We've established that Amber's 2018 article is factually accurate and abuse victims don't file defamation lawsuits. Now, let's discuss briefly the out-right lies going viral on social media right now. First of all, Amber's attorney NEVER claimed that the Milani kit was specifically used to cover up her bruises in their opening statement. I don't know if any of you took a public speaking course, but an opening statement is a lot like a persuasive speech and sometimes in speeches, props can be used for emphasis. Go back and read the full statement in context and see how the lawyer was obviously saying that Amber Heard was never seen with bruises on her face or body because she always carried MAKE-UP around. In fact, here is a fact check article with the full statement for you. I don't need to tell you guys that taking one sentence out of a paragraph puts it out-of-context immediately, and that in order to infer meaning, things must be read as a whole. The question and response tactic is extremely common when crafting public speeches, as it can add emphasis to what you are saying (important for a defense attorney to garner sympathy in their opening statement). However, this is just the opening statement and considering that the kit is not in evidence, the likely goal of the prop was to stick in the jurors' heads when questioning why she wasn't seen in public with bruises on (but what do I know?).

Furthermore, I want to make it abundantly clear that hiring a mental health professional to speculate on the sanity of her ex-wife because she accused you of abuse is textbook abuser behavior, not abuse victim behavior. In case you've never needed therapy before, I want to take this moment to let you know that the ONLY professional who can diagnose you with a mental disorder is in fact YOUR TREATING PROVIDER. This means that Amber Heard does not have BPD or HPD, as far as we know because we have not heard her therapist testify yet. I also want to the record to show that Dr. Curry was added to court proceedings as a witness to discuss Heard "showing signs of BPD" in February 2021, after a four hour dinner and drinks at Depp's house, but didn't actually meet Amber until DECEMBER 2021. If that doesn't scream smear campaign, I don't know what will. I have no idea why so many of you ran with this idea that Amber has BPD, based on the word of her ex-husband's medical team, but alas.

Actually, I do. You don't believe women. You say you do, you say you want to support victims of abuse and sexual assault but you don't actually support them. If you did, we wouldn't be here. I wouldn't be writing this because you never would have paid any attention to this farce of a trial to begin with. You would have looked into the actual testimony and evidence and seen that Depp has been lying repeatedly, over and over again, if you bothered to believe anything he said at all because you would've known ALL of this beforehand. You would have kept up to date with the UK Trial, you would have known defamation lawsuits are a common abuser tactic, and you wouldn't take the claim that a shard of glass can finger to the bone at face value all because your favorite pirate is saying that's what happened. You should be ashamed of yourself, because this is shameful. It's shameful to continuously have to owe women collective apologies because we refuse to support them in their actual time of need. Women come to us, time and time again, and we spit in their faces, over and over again. How fucking pitiful are we that we cannot be bothered to learn from our fucking mistakes, the same ones we keep making over and over again, spanning decades, destroying hundreds of thousands of lives with our reluctance to hold men accountable for their shitty behavior.

And what does Amber have to show for it? Thousands of people calling her a cunt, a bitch, a whore, invalidating her pain and her terror all so that we didn't have to face how uncomfortable it makes us that someone like Johnny Depp can be such a fucking monster. Can you live with the discomfort of knowing you helped an abuser continue to psychologically torture and gaslight his victim, some of you engaging in the gaslighting yourself? You made Tik-Tok clips of her abuser lying on stand go viral, you pushed lies he told you to discredit her story, to make people look like bigots for disagreeing that Depp is an abuse victim. This is why women don't report their abuse, this is why so many of us walk in terror every fucking minute of every day of something like this happening to us. Not because we can't handle it, not because we wouldn't be able to survive such a horrific experience but because we know the second we do, we open ourselves up to this. We know that nobody will believe us, especially if we have been gaslit by our abuser, so we keep silent.

(Lizzy:) Yes, the CROTCH OF YOUR PANTS HENRY. :P Honestly I'm used to it at this point though. It's not the first time, or I'm assuming the last, that I'll have to mend the crotch of your pants. It’s not your fault the studio wants you in tighter fitting clothes that can show off how muscular you are. It’s just my job to fix it. ;) 

(Henry:) I guess I never really thought about who it was having to mend them when that happens. 

(Lizzy:) And it’s not just your crotch area I mend, it’s your inseams as well. I think your thighs got a little bigger since the initial fitting. :P

(Lizzy:) And yes, us little people taking care of you famous movie stars, making sure you stay looking like the heartthrob you are. Since that is your job and all. :P

(Henry:) Hey now, I’m more than just a pretty face. You make me sound like a talentless hack. But thank you. For your sake I'll try and not blow out any more seams, especially the crotch.

(Lizzy:) All I have to say is I’m SO glad we don’t have to worry about shirt buttons on you during this. I’ve seen the stress you put on buttons during press junkets. The anxiety I feel, Henry. So much anxiety.

(Henry:) Yeah, those shirts never seem to fit my chest right. I taught myself how to sew buttons on my shirts so I could stop asking others to help. 

(Lizzy:) Okay, the fact that you taught yourself how to sew on buttons because it’s a CONTINUING issue is both hilarious and adorable. :P

(Henry:) 

(Henry:) So I’m curious about something, costume wise.

(Lizzy:) Yes? I’m sure I can answer, costume wise. ;)

(Henry:) How long does it take to sew together a shirt from scratch? 

(Lizzy:) Well, it all depends on the type of shirt, and what it’s for. For the sake of film, there are so many steps. Design, pattern making, grading, construction, fitting. That’s just a fraction of it. It’s a very long process.

(Lizzy:) But if I was at home making a shirt for a friend, I could do it start to finish in a couple of hours. They're not hard. I can sew them together in my sleep.

(Henry:) A few HOURS? That's amazing. 

(Lizzy:) Eh, it's what I went to school for. ;) It’s not that impressive to me. 

(Henry:) Well, to me it is at least.  ;) 

(Lizzy:)

(Henry:) Unfortunately, it's time for me to go to bed. I have an early call time in the morning. 

(Lizzy:) You're going to bed at 6 in the evening? I’m assuming you have a super crazy call time? One time I had a call time of 1 am because there were things that had to be fixed by the time you and Anya got to set at 4 am. Although it does have it’s advantages. I get to have the first pick of craft services, and sunrises are always nice to watch. 

(Lizzy:) But I’m sorry, that sucks. :(

(Henry:) Some days it does, especially when I can't seem to fall asleep. But today was exhausting so I don't think I'll have any issues tonight. Plus Kal has been extra cuddly tonight so I definitely won’t have any issues. 

(Lizzy:) Well then, I guess this is where we say goodnight. I hope you sleep well. :) 

(Henry:) Thank you. I hope you do, too. Hopefully tomorrow will involve less bleeding onto garments. ;P

(Lizzy:) Haha, I mean it really doesn’t matter. If anything it makes the garment just look THAT much more legit. I hope you have a good day on set tomorrow. :)

If it seems like I’m begging you, it’s because I am. Nothing else has worked, and honestly I’ve tried this before and it hasn’t either. I know I’m liked more when I’m not aggressive, but I’m not hiding my anger here. I’ve almost given up; I know better than to keep throwing myself at a brick wall. I feel vurnable and empty. 

Please. I know resources can be overwhelming.

I know it’s difficult for human, by the nature of our brains, to care about things that do not directly affect us.

I know that there is so much going on in the world taking up your emotional energy.

But please, please, please take the time out of your day to look at least one of these. 

Do you know about the Chinese Exclusion Act and Japanese Internment? Search that up. Read the Wikipedia summary. That’s good. You can do more, but every little thing you do to better yourself helps. You don’t have to feel bad if that’s all you do. 

Do you know about the model minority myth? You can freaking message me or send asks and I will explain it to you personally. I don’t care. I’ll do anything to help people understand us. 

Are you in a position of power over others? (Aka, do you run workshops or are you a teacher or an admin?) (look, both my parents are teachers; I have no idea how hierarchal job structure works outside of public education.) Please bring attention to this among your employees/students/subordinates/idk just your friends. You could literally just send them a slideshow of an Instagram post. I know at least one or two major news outlets have finally reported on this. Just play that clip for them. 

Please. I am begging every one who reads this to do something, any one small thing to help or better understand or support the East Asian community. If you’re a Black or brown or Native activist, keep focusing on your causes, but please don’t use that as an excuse to not help us just a tiny bit in ours. Your rising tide may list all boats, but do not ignore our sinking ship. 

In 1968, college students across ethnic backgrounds banded together to from the Third World Liberation Front. It was “instrumental in creating and establishing Ethnic Studies and other identity studies as majors in universities across the United States.” We did it before. We can do it again.

Alright y’all, I was bored and wanted to ignore my hw, so I made a tier list on everyone’s lore and a quick writeup for each placement. Just an fyi this is my opinion and will most likely change as we get more story content, but right now this is where I stand (no arguing please, or at least nothing that’ll result in name calling and such)

But yeah this is something I’ll probably look back on and be like “hmm maybe I was too harsh with my rankings” but rn it’s like 2:30 in the morning so yeah

S Tier

Bloodhound: Maybe I’m biased because I’m a BH main, but imo their lore is the most interesting and nuanced out of everyone’s. From their parents, to their uncle, to Boone, and now their planet, Bloodhound’s backstory, current lore, and character is fantastic and honestly peak writing from Respawn atm.

Wraith: I understand that not everyone loves the “I lost my memory and am now trying to find out who I am” trope, and maybe this is also biased because I’m a complete Wraith simp, but her lore to me is also very unique and well done. The entire Voidwalker cinematic alone is what’s basically putting her in S tier, but I also love how she is the prime definition of “Looks like they can kill you, but is actually a cinnamon roll” instead of your typical edgy girl that coldly pushes everyone away.

A Tier

Horizon: Interstellar but make it Scottish. She has really nice interactions with Mirage and Wattson, and there’s plenty of potential with where her character can go now that Ash is in the picture.

Gibraltar: While his lore isn’t as flashy like the ones in S tier, I still think it’s really good. For one, it’s consistent, and the stuff with Nik and Michael is very bittersweet. I really like how despite the tragedies in his life, like BH, that only made him more determined to do the right thing. 10/10 he’s got your back bruddahs

Mirage: Respawn’s poster boy, so it’s only natural that he gets a shitload of lore. Fortunately, it’s not shit and actually fleshes him out as a character greatly. I also really like the canon sibling relationship he has with Rampart. Now that his dad may or may not force himself into the picture soon, it’s gonna be more character development for Mirage either way.

Borderline

I’ll explain this tier real quick. Basically they’re between A and B; they have the potential to be great, but they’re being held back by a certain something.

Bangalore: Pathfinder’s Quest did a really good job fleshing her out, but the love triangle and inconsistent behavior towards Wraith isn’t doing her any favors. It’s a shame, because characters like Anita are really unique and not seen often. I can only hope Respawn realizes that no, love triangles are not the peak writing they think it is.

Loba: Same deal here, that love triangle and her rebounding off Valk is really not doing anything good towards her character. They’re adults, are they not capable of communicating? Like Bangalore, she’s also really unique in the sense that she’s a bisexual woman of color in a video game who is a complete girlboss and inspiration. Respawn stop fucking up your characters please!

B Tier

Revenant: He’s really badass, and his lore is fun, it’s just that the writing is making him look like a complete joke. He gets clowned on every time he’s about to do something cool and it’s honestly kinda sad. If the writing could give him a few kills to his name to actually establish that he’s a threat, I’ll put him up higher.

Octane: If this was fanon Octane, he’d be an automatic S tier. Respawn needs to flesh out his backstory some more, like most of the fanfics do. That one comic where he confronts his dad was 10/10, we just need more of that and actually tackling the effects his father’s abuse had on him. Also the potential history he has with Seer is a good opportunity to explore more of his character, so that’s a good start.

Rampart: Just recently she’s getting lore, and all of it is very good so far. The relationships she has with a lot of the legends are very strong, and the foreshadowing towards Big Sister returning is also a huge plus.

Fuse: The Maggie stuff was honestly really fucking lame (I blame the ingame comics for this), for me what’s really carrying his character rn are the Fusehound interactions. Idrc if it ends up platonic or romantic, all Ik is that there is a lot of potential in fleshing out Fuse as a character either way.

C Tier

Pathfinder: Okay I’m not gonna lie, I have conflicted feelings on Path. He got an entire book to himself dedicated to his own lore, along with a cinematic that gave a visual on what actually happened to his creators, and yet I don’t care for his lore??? Thinking about it, it’s probably because he didn’t really get any character development, he ultimately stayed the same (except that one moment where Revenant screwed with him, but he bounced back literally one chapter later). Also, it honestly looks like his story is over anyway, he just has to find his kid. At least his personality is 10/10 though

Lifeline: Y’all are probably thinking, why is Lifeline here and not Octane + vice versa, isn’t their lore basically the same? It’s because imo Octane has more potential character development atm, and Lifeline doesn’t really have any character interactions that don’t have to do with her childhood friend, so that to me is what’s separating her from Octane. Lol again if this were fanon Lifeline she’d probably be in A tier, borderline S tier.

D Tier

Valkyrie: Literally the first thing that happens to her in the lore is that she gets thrown into a love triangle. I understand that it’s in her character to be flirty and stuff, but a love triangle? Really? Ms. Kairi Imahara deserves sm better than that. Honestly the only reason she’s not in F tier is because I like her personality, along with the Northstar cinematic.

Seer: Tbh, there isn’t a lot we know about Seer. However, what we know about him so far isn’t detrimental and for me the reason he isn’t in F tier. The interactions he has so far have the potential to be explored.

E Tier

Wattson: Man. I wish she wasn’t here, but the fact that almost all her lore involves babysitting two grown men really killed her character for me. Fanon Wattson is a million times more enjoyable to me, Respawn needs to seriously consider giving her independent lore and/or branch out to other characters that aren’t Crypto and Caustic.

Crypto: Same thing, the fact that he’s strictly tied to Wattson and Caustic rn is annoying and stupid. It also doesn’t help that literally nothing about his personal lore has been addressed recently (Mila, clearing his name).

F Tier

Caustic: If he were actually established as a proper villain, he’d be way higher. But no, Respawn wants to play rock paper scissors with this guy; one second he literally wants to gas a city, the next he’s playing nice because “Wattson blackmailed him?” Lol I don’t fucking think so. I’m not saying a redemption arc for Caustic is impossible, it’s just that Respawn did a really shitty job in actually convincing people that he deserves it. And yes, even the whole deal with his mom isn’t doing it for me. Nah fuck this guy sorry y’all, he’d be way better as a villain imo

TLDR: Fanon does it better
