I just tunnel visioned so hard I spent the last 6 hours on a spreadsheet of every theatrical show I've ever worked on, and all the designers who I worked with on the professional ones... I looked up and it was 1:30am.
I should have spent the last few hours reading scripts but noooooo the allure of the spreadsheet was too much
On the plus side I can now count every single show I've been in. If we include professional, academic, amateur, and readings... I just finished my 100th show.

Life
Patricia Mattick began her acting career in 1970 at the age of 19 with an appearance in the television series Room 222. A year later, she received her first small film role as Janie in the film drama The Beguiled with Clint Eastwood as the main actor. In the same year, she played the role of Margaret Williams in Columbo: Ransom for a Dead, who, together with Inspector Columbo (Peter Falk), tries to convict her mother-in-law (Lee Grant) as her father's murderer. 1]
In the following years, Patricia Mattick, who was also mentioned under her nickname Pattye Mattick in the credits in several of her film and television appearances, mainly appeared as a guest actress in television series such as Der Chef, FBI and Notruf California. In 1976, she appeared in a double episode in the fifth season of The Streets of San Francisco as Marie Tannenger. In the 1980s, Mattick only played in one episode of the prison series Prisoner. After appearances in the two short films And Another Honkytonk Girl Says She Will (1990) and The Walter Ego (1991), she ended her television career.
In addition to her career as a TV actress, Mattick also worked as a theater actress between 1979 and 1995, including for Padua Playwrights Productions in Los Angeles. In the 1989/1990 season, she played in the play And What of the Night? By María Irene Fornés, who was also involved as a director, at the Trinity Repertory Company Theatre in Providence. Marrick was also on stage for Fornés in 1992 in Oscar and Bertha at the Magic Theatre in San Francisco. 2] She played her last theater role from February to March 1995 as Elizabeth in the play Ibsen and the Actress at the Theater of the University of Iowa.[ 3]
Patricia Mattick died on the 6th. December 2003 at the age of 52 from the consequences of cancer in Tallahassee, Florida. She was buried next to the grave of her mother, who died in 1985, in the cemetery in Granby. 4]
Her probably best-known role in the German-speaking world is Columbo: Ransom for a dead person, Patricia Mattick was spoken by Marion Hartmann. 5]

Artist of the Week: Mick Jenkins
Tumblr media
Jayson Mick Jenkins is an American hip hop recording artist based in Chicago and signed to Cinematic Music Group. Jenkins was born in Huntsville, Alabama. He moved to Chicago at nine years old. When Jenkins was 17 he began going to open-mic events at Young Chicago Authors. His love of music started at an early age but through rap competitions he begun to feel a true connection to rapping, releasing his first mixtape is 2012.
Jenkin’s first mixtape “The Mickstape” was released in January 2012, followed by “The pursuit of HappyNess: The Story of Mickalascage” in August 2012. Both mixtapes involved notable record producers such as Quincy Banks, Chuck Inglish, and Vanilla among others. He then joined YCA where he performed his first acapella verse. From the years 2014-2015, he received significant attention through his single and a visual of “Martyrs” which had to do with societal truths. Through his thought-provoking messages, he was able to distinguish himself as an artist to look out for in the industry. This then led him to create “The Wave” EP and “the Waters” which features artists Jean Deaux, Saba and TheMind among others.
In 2016 Jenkin’s album “The Healing Component” was released in which he explored the theme of love and the shapes it can take throughout the album. From 2017 to today he’s been releasing new music. This includes “Or More; The Anxious” a mixtape in a series of projects which he describes to be "a project series involving musical ideas and concepts that are currently inspiring the album's creation process.” After the release of his series of mixtapes his second studio album “Pieces of a Man” was released. This album included many notable artists including Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah.
Quotes from Mick Jenkins:
“I don’t believe that capitalism in the way that it’s run is for the betterment of the people. It’s not.”
“I’ve been told I have a menacing… not aura, but when I walk around, I don’t look happy.”
“We’re all performing for peanuts and being asked to do amazing things for people. We’re being robbed of certain humanities and our uniqueness is being exploited.”

Today’s #MarchMeetTheMaker promt is “how you started”. My compulsion to make things started very young, and just never went away. I was just thinking about this the other day— I got really, REALLY serious about art when I was 15. I was so depressed and lonely as a teenager. Art helped me focus on something other than my misery. There are a lot of reasons why I am an artist, but that is one of the big ones. Around that time I started collecting books and taking classes. It became an obsession. It became therapy for me. It helped me occupy my mind and focus on something beautiful. .#howyoustarted #art #painting #meetthemaker #abouttheartist #artistbio #artmaking #artstudio #watercolor #mixedmedia #gems #moonstone #arachnids #tarantula #arttherapy #glass #gold #gilded #creativelife #my100daysofwritingsomething #the100dayproject #watercolor https://www.instagram.com/p/Buh69iVjg_K/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=2vco5vshqacq
