i know i definitely need to start thinking about how the tsukacchako ocs (i need a name for the three of them T-T) got together, that could be fun to write in the future .... i also need to think more about their like characters without making them copies of tsukacchako, cause like i said before theyre just like skeleton versions right now they need more MEAT

now onto ur sillies .... i def think hoshiko would get along with all of them!!! in my head rn shes kinda like cindy but way less naive and not AS nice (like, not "make flower crowns for everyone in the class" nice but still "goes up to everyone and starts a conversation" nice). i think shed like kaaya the most out of ur sillies, i can see her going up to her and saying "ur hairs pink like mine!! and i love ur clips!! do you like space?" shed prob like minwoo the least tho, shed think his attitude would ruin the vibes

amane is definitely civil with the three of them, but i dont think amane would be like FRIENDS with them. i dunno how secretive the siblings would be about their lil things but i can see amane figuring it out at some point i dunno what amane would do about it but amane would find out

nariko doesnt really like anyone so she wouldnt like them T-T if theyre around minwoo when he says something self-deprecating theyd probably be like "yeah thats right youll never be like me IM the main character!!!" i can see her liking (altho liking is a strong word) atomu the most, she sees his determination and dedication and if atomu ever asked for help with singing or like rehearsing shed probably (after a while) say yes

today we are sitting in our office at 6 in the morning thinking about...

that scene in "squeeze" that everyone knows by heart, where mulder asks scully, "do you think i'm spooky?" and it's very cute and weirdly sexually charged like all of their interactions are, but also that scene is really important to their character development actually??

this is episode three, and with the understanding that these two are unhinged and kind of speedrun the whole "i would die for you, you're everything to me, you jump i jump, etc" thing, ostensibly they're still getting to know one another, and, more importantly, mulder's still trying to gauge if scully is hashtag legit. like, his gut tells him that, yes, for some reason the fates aligned and made it so the shadow government fucked up real bad and actually sent him an ally instead of an enemy (and also she's not hard on the eyes either, just sayin'), and also she held a security operative at gunpoint for him just one episode earlier, so i think by this point he does genuinely trust that she doesn't have a secret agenda

what he is LESS certain of, however, is whether or not she is going to want to stick around once she fully understands just what a fucking bummer it is to be fox fucking mulder, resident hoover building loser. like she is this literal genius agent and medical doctor, who's professional and hot and kind, and she could easily have an extremely promising career ahead of her, and he doesn't think she understands just how detrimental it is for her to go all in with him. and this case, with these by-the-book buddies of hers, is the first time they are really facing that issue head on

going back to the aforementioned scene, mulder is testing her. through that whole bit, he's testing her. ("why didn't they ask me about the case?" "bc they're my friends and they're more comfortable with me" "why would i make them uncomfortable?" "bc of your reputation" "rEpUtAtIoN?? who has a reputation???") like he is trying SO hard to get her to stop talking around the issue and just say "they think you're a fucking freak, mulder," which ofc she won't, which is why, when she gives him the perfect set up with, "they think your theories are..." he IMMEDIATELY swoops in and asks, "spooky?"

and then he looks her in the eye and asks, "do you think i'm spooky?"

and he says it in his joking tone, but i fully believe that there is a genuineness there. he already knows before talking to colton and his cronies how the conversation is going to go, and he doesn't care, bc he doesn't care about their opinions, but he DOES care about her opinion, and i think that scares him. i think it's been a very, very long time since he last gave a shit about what someone thought of him, and he's extremely uncomfortable. i think that's why he goes so hard just seconds later with the straight faced "aliens are actually grey" thing with colton. he doesn't do it to taunt colton, or for his own amusement, but bc he wants to show scully flat out, "this is what they think of me, and this is how i am going to act in response. can you handle it? can you handle being a social pariah? or do you think i'm spooky?"

the theme comes up repeatedly in this episode, actually. he outright admits to being territorial over her, but in the same breath gives her permission to work on the case with colton instead of him, bc he KNOWS what a shit meal she's been served by the fbi, pairing them up together, but then she's like, "hmmm, idk, i think you must know more than you're saying and i wanna know what it is," and he is so delighted, bc not only does it mean that she's really committed to finding the truth, not just closing the case as fast as possible, but it also means that she's choosing him over them, and that N E V E R happens

but later in the episode he also makes the remark about how in thirty years she'll be "head of the bureau," which is another peek into his mind grapes, showing us that he's still very stuck on this idea that working with colton & friends is going to make her suddenly come to the realization of "oh wait, what am i DOING with this loser??" he's afraid of that happening, and he's afraid about the fact that he's afraid of it in the first place, and bc this is mulder and scully we're talking about, and neither of them are physically capable of saying what they're feeling, he just keeps making jokes and quips and being a dick to colton (who deserves it, but still), bc the alternative is admitting to scully, "hey, i really like your company and would kind of really very much like it if you didn't leave me for the cool kids agents," and he's not going to do that. not just bc of the vulnerability aspect, but bc he would view it as selfish, bc he fully believes that being stuck with him is bad for her (lol i wonder if that will become a theme throughout the entire series ha ha)

but anyway, turns out his worries are unfounded, bc it turns out scully will take being mrs. spooky over climbing the career ladder any day

Thoughts again. I know people will probably skim thru this, but I don’t have the heart to care right now. I’m sharing because I trust you. I’m aware of the dangers of the internet and how they can use to manipulate, but I just don’t care right now.

I don’t really care if this gets 1039390384 notes or less than 10, and I don’t care what time I’m posting this, because apparently now it’s the dead hour ‘til nighttime, but I don’t have the patience to wait.

Everytime I boot up Tumblr, my expectations boost up to the max, expecting notifications, feedback, reblogs, likes, comments. I see none. I leave quickly with a frown.

It also happened on Instagram; it’s just the same thing happening all over again in Tumblr.

In my last post on a ramble, everyone convinced that it takes time, which of course, is true. But I always find a way to come back to this occurrence, and I can’t take that thought away. What’s happening?

Are the artists not reblogging because of poor quality? Is it because I have poor management on when to post? Is my hashtags outdated? Is it because the content I’ve posted is dead?

Or is it the luck? People tend to base their account out of luck of people, big artists, communities, to find, like, reblog, comment. I’ve rarely got that, and whenever it’s about them, I get more likes.

Am I like-driven in some way? I don’t know.

Am I promoting the manga way too much? I don’t know?

Is it spam content? I don’t know.

Does my content stand above the rest? I don’t know.

Do I post too often or too less? I don’t know.

Is my account worth to reblog on? Art-wise? Comment-wise? I don’t know.

I just don’t know.

I don’t know anything.

Too much questions, too much.

My brain can’t think. My heart can’t feel.

They can’t cooperate and work together.

All the brain does is overthink; the heart mourn, carrying more burden everyday.

Looking at it now.. Johnny's final assault attacking Arasaka Tower was a suicide run. And not "oh this is hella dangerous" it's more like this guy is suicidal but he disguises it w/ heavy drug use and fucking ppl and being an absolute asshole b/c that was his way to cope(and let me be clear .. if the hashtags and picture isn't clear enough I'm talking about Johnny from cyberpunk 2077 the video game that came out in 2020 nothing else)

I also think that ig most ppl's thoughts of Johnny wouldn't be that he was "suicidal" but just a messed up person for whatever reasons. But looking back on it he 100% was/could've been suicidal or had suicidal tendencies. He says he was "on top of the world" but I think unconsciously he was tired of this shit and he wanted to see how far he could take it. It seems like he had really "lost his mind"

I say this b/c i think his assault to save Alt was the final straw. She was important to him and I think he could've blamed himself for the fucked up shit that happened to her. If he showed he cared more, if he had been stronger or faster she wouldn't have been dead. More involved in her life. The fact he had lost her felt like there was nothing left to really "stand in his way" of doing this deadass suicidal stunt. I think yes Johnny did want to bring down arasaka but to blow up a tower killing so many ppl it was extreme it was so extreme and possibly the way he felt when he losses Alt.

I started to think how often ppl died in his life in this "edgerunner" life, how many ppl had left Johnny in this time, what he was going thru. The pressure of this band his Silverhand persona was him there was at times no difference with Johnny vs Robert. Alt was the person that would see that side of him but she also was that person that saw a side of him that wasn't just a "rage against the machine" guy.

And um the times Johnny and V are together u see V sorta "warm his heart" and give Johnny hope. Johnny witnesses how much V cares for their friends and how badly they fight to live, the ppl V also lost. Johnny hurt when V hurt(how couldn't he when they shared the same body) but I think that's why V had such an influence over Johnny. Also I think that's why Johnny wanted V to trust him to show he would do anything to make sure V succeeds. He was an asshole but it was never out of bad intentions it was for "V's sake" IDK The fact that Johnny begins sharing more "intimate" memories with V especially during Dogtown missions and such.. anyways Johnny believes in V so much that he suggests a frontal assault on Arasaka tower b/c of how much they grew together and how much Johnny sees V change, change ppl, and influence others.

Yes, V is a "fool" but there's something a fool has that makes ppl want to trust them and that's their way of drawing ppl to them without even noticing. And V does that so much. Just watched episode 33 in dub and uhhhhh

I don't know, but it really feels like the dub tried to be more woke and go like "This isn't feminist enough, Yor needs to be more self-assured!" or something. Like, she actually sounds like a professional assassin, and... I think that misses the point? I mean, I feel we're supposed to see the two different sides of Yor; the meticulous assassin and the kind woman who loves her family, and how those two can coexist at the same time. Like, she'll be super kind when she kills people, and she will accidentally yeet her daughter 100 meters across the sea because of her assassin skills, and she's both.

In the original, when Sniff Jobs calls Yor a heartless woman, her voice is very calm and kind when she explains herself. In the dub her voice sounds assertive and bossy, like she's almost offended someone would dare question her morals after she killed a bunch of people.

It makes for an entirely new characterization... and I really don't appreciate the change in that route. If anything, making her more assertive makes her whole questioning of her identity and purpose as an assassin kinda moot. Like, when she tells Sniff Jobs "I killed them. I had to. Sorry about that" her "Sorry" sounds a little... sarcastic? I don't know any Japanese but in the original she sounds like she recognizes it was a necessary evil, like she wishes she didn't have to do it. In the dub she sounds like "LMAO who cares".

AND THAT'S NOT THE POINT OF YOR'S CHARACTER. She doesn't see her targets are pigs for the slaughter, or as pawns to be taken away. She sees them as people and respects them and tries to deliver a quick and painless death. It's a weird dynamic and the story is openly not excusing her but THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT. IT MAKES HER LAYERED.

I mean, when poison gas guy covers her in that cloud of gas, she says "That was so rude!" In the original you can actually believe that Yor felt that the guy's choice of weapon was uncalled for. In the dub, Yor hasn't built that trust with the audience for us to think that she thinks any of that as rude, so it doesn't make any sense for her to even say that!

And when she's hit by katana guy and spends a few good seconds wondering what's happening... she doesn't sound, well, funny. In the original she sounds a little silly yes but again. That's the point. She's having a near-death experience, and we can understand some silliness as her control slips. It's what makes her jumping to thinking about Loid's shirts and Anya's library books make sense. She's in a weird state and of course she's going to think of things she shouldn't be thinking at that exact moment.

Meanwhile, the dub makes her sound like "Oh shit I'm going to die what am I going to do"... and then she thinks about the shirts and the books and it doesn't make any sense! If she was logical and had her wits with her, she wouldn't jump to silly matters like that. It's a jarring change and it's unfortunately backed by her entire characterization in the dub, where she's more assertive and trying to look less naive and self-conscious.

And it's annoying. Hashtag Not My Yor.

Finally, there were some slight changes in dialogue that I'm not sure I understood why they happened, and that they took away some great points? Like, first, when she says she has to clean up the world, that things haven't changed and that it's more important now to do that - as she thinks of the Forgers - in the dub it's "Things haven't changed, and they never truly will". Like, bruh. Do they even care about her characterization or not. If anything, saying those lines while she thinks of the Forgers... kinda makes it sound like she's complaining. In the original, the "It's more true now than ever" makes her sound like she thinks of them as an inspiration to keep doing what she does. The "They never truly will" in the dub... makes her sound like she thinks of them as a burden.

Like, idk. Maybe I'm just taking it too far. But I really didn't like it.

And then, when she grabs the katana with her hand, she says "I don't need there to be peace" like what. Uhm. I assumed the original meant that she didn't care if she didn't have any peace, not the entire fucking world. Did I just read it wrong all this time? Did the manga and the anime subs give us a wrong translation, or did the dub translators just throw the dialogue into google translate and gave the voice actress whatever mess it threw out?

All that said, I don't blame the voice actress. She's just doing her job with what she's given, and with what I assume are the directorial choices.

[cursed emoji] and rick is SO GRUMPY abt it. he doesn't wanna go but they drag him along and once he's at the ceremony he gets so drunk he's like. almost passed out. rick is Always some level of drunk so for him to be like. going limp fnajfnjat it has to be Astronomical levels right. yet he picks himself back up enough to give a little speech proclaiming birdperson as his best friend and that he'll go along w whatever makes him happy so if pers loves tammy then rick loves tammy too!! and calls it his greatest adventure - opening himself up to others! and immediately after tammy reveals she's an undercover agent of the federation and Shoots Birdperson Dead. and rick cries out his name and goes nooooo. horrid

the federation then pieces pers back together w robot bits and sends him off to kill rick, rick knocks him out but doesn't kill him he just takes him home to fix him up as close to Before as he can but pers has sort of. put himself in a coma bc he Did care abt tammy. and not only did she betray him but now rick has also Killed her so he kinda just wants to rot and die. so. this is also one of my fave episodes. rick has to go in pers' mind and memories and convince him to basically come back to life. this is where we get their whole backstory !! as said they met at a festival and fucked around until rick joined the rebellion. it started as pers helping rick w "his stuff" and rick helping pers w "his stuff" in exchange. i'm realizing i'm making it sound like they were taking turns jerking each other off but what i mean is yea rick helps pers w the federation but pers helps rick w killing other ricks. so basially rick joins the rebellion for pers?? 🤨

culminates in blood ridge which is this big ass battle between federation and rebels and it ends WELL. they WIN. but rick talks abt blood ridge like it was a 9/11 type event so you're like WHY is he sad abt blood ridge. and then we see it. at the end of the battle rick is once again emotionally vulnerable w pers and he shares his Big Secret w him. his portal gun that can take him anywhere in any universe. he asks pers to go w him wherever he wants. i'm reminded of rick initially turning down rick prime's offer bc "it sounds lonely" and. i guess it fucking is. he wanted his best friend w him. he reveals a fundamental part of his mindset he always brings up - that there's countless versions of reality and therefore nothing matters, so pers asks him. if nothing matters why did you help me? and rick tells him. because you matter to me. pers reads this as the Fucking Love Confession That It Fucking Is, and Awkwardly Turns Rick Down As Such. fucking friendzones the fucker. he goes "our relationship,,," and rick doesn't deny nor correct him!! he just goes like OH MY GODDDD DON'T DRAG IT OUT JUST SAY NOOOO

anyway. this trip in pers' mind. rick has teamed up w a younger rick from pers' memories and after seeing blood ridge he's like ok i get why you were so bitter. it wasn't the battle that went bad. why do you wanna save pers then? and our rick goes because you love him. and memory rick goes I don't YOU love him maybe. and our rick is like yea bet are you gonna help or not. and he's so serious and focused bc this is SERIOUS. so once they finally do get to pers and rick tries to convince him to come back to life basically lmao pers is like i'm SORRY i'm not over tammy unfort we can't choose the ones we love HE SAYS THAT TO RICK'S FACE??? and in fact rick gets pissy and goes YEAH NO SHIT WHY DO YOU THINK I'M STILL IN HERE. he reveals pers has a fuckin daughter out there and pers decides to come back to take care of her he thanks rick for not giving up on him but quickly fucks off without his usual politeness bc he's a bit mad at rick anyway. fair

when we see him again in s7 he's having a hard time parenting his rebellious birddaughter but agrees to hanging out w rick and their friends and they seem chill. i hope to see him more next season i genuinely adore him so much. the only people rick is THIS weak for are like. morty obviously summer on some level and his fuckin Daughter. i have things to say about my little tv shows now ok. 1) the big thing i know we all care so much about. the change in showrunners for greys from krista vernoff (my enemy for real) to someone new. i had to look her up it’s meg marinis and i have tentatively decided to trust her because i looked up what episodes she’s written and she HAPPENS to be the writer behind my favorite greys episode ever. not that that makes the episode good i was just 17 and there was a scene in there that gay 17 year old beth desperately needed at that time. we don’t have to get into it. also she wrote the last 2 episodes of season 19 which i remember being INSANE in the straight people department (lucas and simone!!!!) so. i’m trusting her. meg i am putting my faith in you. do not let me down.

Hey, I just want to say thanks for posting these updates on the Hybe boycotts. Especially since I don't always actively keep up with the kpop branch of news (since I don't have Twitter or use Instagram that much).

It's good to know that there are at least some groups of fans working together to stop Scooter and his buddies and show their support to Palestine. I do worry if it'll be enough, but I also hope that they'll manage to kick Scooter out soon. From what I understand, it could be by the end of this month at the earliest?

It also leaves a weird taste in my mouth to think about how these artists are doing collabs of this sort (like the one with that UV Killer guy). How much of this was them actively willing to participate in the collab? If a lot, what does that say about their stance on Palestine? Will we ever know the answers? (Probably not, unfortunately.) I’ve only had it for a year ….and the only thing I ever knew about it before I took the plunge was that Ask Pinkamena came from it and so did allot of early 2000’s EDs ,that it was Chaotic, and that it would be a good mental break from mindless TikTok scrolling That last one , my friend getting it and the start of the end of my High school Senior year led me to making a Lies For the Liars / JTHM/Invader Zim / Momster Energy /Emo themed Tumblr.

Moving Forward from that ; idk what will become of it , It might take a turn for the worse , it might take a turn for the better , or just whatever I end up Hyper fixating on ( which happens to be more religious things at the moment. Contrary to my SpaceHey page Start of April 2024 is probably the best I’ve ever been. Religious or not it’s nice to have something to fall back on when you can’t take on life for yourself. I don’t condone ignorance but worrying about everything and getting nothing done is very different from Trusting in someone you can’t see and seeing answers show up to your problems. So much better than letting them slowly kill you.

If I read that and didn’t have any idea about Christianity or was struggling with sin and or was stuck in the sin cycle constantly hating myself or thinking that God didn’t care enough to help . I’d be confused and I’d think you were one of those lucky people and that something was wrong with me . If you’ve been a Christian for a while and either struggled to do everything right . It’s not your job to fix it yourself and it’s tricky to figure out especially when you think you’ve given it to God but your still trying to figure out how your going to dig yourself out of the mess you’ve made. It’s simple, repent , pray , fix your eyes on God( focus simply focus on him , watch videos for all I care on things your curious about that relate to anything in the Bible it doesn’t matter.) and ask him what he wants you to do for the day or how he’s going to fix your problem for you. like your life depends on it. And when the devil starts talking Rebuke and Resist. If you have crystals or idols in your house get rid of them if you have placed power on them . Crystals and statues aren’t inherently bad but can be when you place belief or power on them , if you have Sleep paralysis Anoint your bedroom and or home spiritual attacks are real and they hindered my growth for longer then what i would have liked them to . They also worsened my mental health and made me believe I was the problem , that something in me was off , that i would never be able to do anything or get anything done , that I would never fulfill my potential, that I was stuck , I was too self conscious to take myself seriously, but to pessimistic to not feel self conscious when I wasn’t serious. It was too much of everything and too little of what i needed. Not to mention I craved the pain I craved the uncomfortable feelings because I’d gotten used to them and they were predictable . ( wow , how emo of me .)

Eric, birthname John McCaddon (McCadden?? Little six year old John was left traumatized by this event and grew up not only believing said lie, but also developed the inability to trust people. Sadly, I've allowed for him to remember what happened, so now he's got the trauma of being murdered on top of the trauma of his dad's death. not hiding how he goes straight to your station when all the artists are tattooing and the judges get to go around checking everyone’s progress, lingering there longer than he should as the cameras capture how the straight and intimidating face he had when he first came in has completely morphed into smirks and smiles and subtle praises that make it obvious he loves what you’re doing but not too much so he doesn’t get in trouble given he’s still a guest, saving the bigger praises for when it’s time to actually judge the design and he tries to contain the whirl of emotions in his stomach when he sees your pretty smile after the judges give you a good critique

eyes sparkling when he gives you his and expresses how much he loves the design, the technique and how spot on you are with all the technicalities that go into the tattoo and he can’t help but mirror your smile before finishing his critique by saying he’d love to have you do something like this on his skin which has the competitions hashtag blowing up on every platform because everyone knows the bakugou katsuki doesn’t get tattooed by just anyone, only having a few selected trusted artist that are the best of the bests

So to add,

First of all, let’s ALL get this straight: grooming/pedo (and rape, obv) allegations do not a cancellation or “petty internet drama” make. It’s a legitimate and real, life altering crime, especially when it happens when one is so young.

I’m so, so tired.

“Cancel Dream” hashtags and such were trending for, what, a week? A singular week. Then between the feral (derogatory) fanbase and morons going “she released it after the face reveal, it’s all fake lmao,” it was… thrown away. Like NO ONE was/is talking about it. The man himself, if anything, has capitalized on it: saying that shit about Snapchat and staying on the platform when he said in a twitlonger—which his friends had to share for him because he posted it privately for whatever inane reason—he’d stop talking to anyone new/he doesn’t know on it. Likely more.

Here’s a helpful list for idiots who don’t want to think hard or re-evaluate their “faves:”

An alleged victim comes out months/years later

What it means: it’s taken that long for them to realize or understand what happened to them and to be brave enough to let it be known that their victimiser is someone not to be trusted or have access to an underage (or other particular) fanbase.

What it DOESN’T mean: they’re attention-seeking off of falsely accusing someone who’s popular

The alleged victim comes out at all

What it (can) means: they need to get it out; finally get it out. Perhaps spurred on by trusted people around them or their therapists (I’ve heard some encourage posting to the internet abyss). And/or they see their victimiser gaining and gaining fans, all of which have an innate trust in this person due to their status. And it hurts. It hurts to be so wounded and hurt by someone and be the almost sole keeper of that fact, whilst their victimiser gains popularity, fame, wealth, and a general goodwill and trust by those around them—not to mention access to other people to victimise. How is it not in the alleged victim’s right to speak their truth, gain some comfort from that, and to warn other possible victims.

What it DOESN’T mean (with the caveat that the allegations are true): they’re attention seeking and want to ruin this popular creator out of… spite? Jealousy? Idk all of what you people see

Now, if this does go legal and to trial, then the internet will be able to see, for legally ruled certain, what’s-what, and since it’d be criminal, we’d likely be able to also view a livestream of it.

Until then/unless it does, I feel it’s grossly inappropriate for randos online to say as if fact “lol it’s all fake, Dream’s done nothing wrong”—not to be confused with siding with the accused. In the latter, one chooses to go against any and all evidence provided and side with the possible rapist. Personally, even not including my looking into this matter further, I’d rather side with a potential liar than the potential scum that is a sexual abuser. Especially since this isn’t one singular person putting forth the claim—which also makes me wonder if there’s anyone else too afraid to say anything due to how the other two were bullied off the internet nearly entirely. I hope those kids get their eyes opened and come to some sense in the future.

Nothing’s been decidedly/*officially* proven or disproven so why is essentially no one covering this? Talking about it? Just saying what’s been put forth as evidence without “yeah no I don’t think he’s guilty because he’s him?”

All these—ALL THESE commentary and news and be-aware-of-this-disgusting-person-on-the-internet channels and NO ONE’S talking about it! (Looking at you Philip DeFranco, Penguinz0, READYTOGLARE, TurkeyTom (though I don’t support his “slur is just a word”), illuminaughtii, etc.)

Frankly, I’m disgusted. In all of you, and the dreamstans that bullied and threatened those alleged victims (and people close to them) off the internet, and those that “aren’t decided.” Logic would dictate that one would see the alleged victim’s words, look at what the accused said about it (and their following actions *cough joking about it and continuing to snapchat fans cough*, and any other words from any other alleged victims. Logic would dictate that you’d evaluate all that and instead of “not choosing sides,” which really just means you support the alleged perpetrator, you’d choose to side with a potential liar than a potential sex offender—especially if there’s more than one who is brave enough to come out.

MatPat/Game Theory: I believe the timeline of their “is Dream my Son!?” video, or whatever it was titled, was just after the face reveal but prior to the allegations. Post said allegations, the video wasn’t unlisted nor has he stopped joking about that. Because of that, I stopped watching all of his channels. He did so last month abouts in one of his fnaf lives. And really, I’m certain most of us expect more from someone with such a big base, such influence, to not only hear about it (since he needs to know what’s going on given his multiple channels, and also possibly via his fans saying “uh, hey, he’s been accused of being a p*do so maybe stop pls???”), but to give the situation the respect it requires. All he had to do was something like, “it’s recently come to my attention that [allegations], so until something else happens like his innocence is proved beyond a doubt, I’ve unlisted my Dream video and apologize for continuing to make such jokes. For that, I sincerely apologize and will, hence forth, not do that. [Include possible fundraiser for sexual assault victims.]”

And again, Game Theory is huge. If he’s afraid of the dreamstans… why? He’s got 17 Million subs on that one channel. He’s got four. So why the silence? Why the continued support? Makes one wonder. (It also outright sucks for reasons other than the obvious, this being because I personally liked the channels, but I refuse to watch if he keeps this up.—Funny how it’s not an impossible task for me to stop watching a channel I previously enjoyed.)

Nor have I heard of his friends and compatriots talking on the subject besides Tommy’s… frankly concerning tweets, and Minx(?)’s victim bullying, bpd episode (so I’ve heard) tiktok. He’s continued even more than before, to my knowledge. And to be clear, I don’t expect the minors of his smp to talk on it, they’re minors and Tubbo’s “I don’t know enough about this situation to talk on it” I feel was enough. Though I am concerned about them all. But what I DO expect is the other adults especially those closest to him or most influential to say. Something. To. Their. Base. Because you know what it screams to victims when everyone continues on “as normal,” the accused and co joke about it, the situation seems to be purposefully shoved aside, and the accused continues the actions that were part of the problem and which he promised to stop? It tells them (and anyone paying attention/possible victims) “that it doesn’t matter,” “you see him? he can do whatever he wants and get away with it,” “your pain doesn’t matter,” and “shut the fuck up and subscribe/watch to continue to give him money.” Especially when he ALLOWS his fanbase to be so, so aggressive to anyone who questions him!

The fans also need to act: stop interacting with him (and other content creators with allegations until something is proven). YouTube considers even views as interaction (as far as my yt knowledge goes). So, no, the “it doesn’t matter, this is my comfort stream” isn’t harmless. Even past episodes. If you absolutely cannot stop, then it frankly sounds like you need to reach out to a medical professional for help regardless.

Continuing to do so shows him that he can get away with shit (assuming allegations are true) and not be hurt whatsoever because “look how many people still love me and stop their own lives to watch my livestreams.” In example: JKR thinks herself vindicated by people continuing to buy Harry Potter stuff (no, I’m not saying she’s a sexual predator, don’t even).

I wasn’t a “fan” of him, but I passively enjoyed the dsmp and all the fan work coming out of it, but I’ve obviously stopped considering what’s come to light.

I know I have no *substantial* following especially on a devient site like tumblr, but I need to finally scream it into the void because I feel I’m losing my fucking mind with how everyone’s treating the situation.

I don’t fully know how to phrase this but I’ve been thinking about it for a little bit and the way the situation with Dream has gone down is entirely because it’s Dream. 

Think about CMC, Mini Ladd, Jikishi. Large streamers who have connections to or histories in the MCYT community are exposed for DMing and flirting/possibly sexting with underage teenagers.

In those situation, people just left them. Their fans, other streamers, their friends, everything. The only difference I can think of is that, mostly coming from their friends’ statements about private confessions, all three of these streamers ended up admitting to it. But people left them long before they did.

Also, think about streamers who have gotten false allegations. Pyrocynical, Slazo, and I’m sure many more. They went out of their way to prove that what happened was not inappropriate or true. Even then, before they proved that they had done nothing wrong, people left them! Because that’s a reasonable response to someone possibly grooming or abusing other people. 

You can always go back if they’ve proven that they’ve done nothing wrong. You can’t as easily take back siding with them and the things you may have said in that time.

These streamers, with false allegations, actually adressed what happened and made sure it was handled properly because, even if the allegations aren’t true, people are going to start spewing the most toxic, victim-blaming shit you’ve ever heard to defend their streamer. It hurts everyone. Every victim in the community, even if the allegations are fake, sees people saying these things.

Think about the streamers’ reactions to their real allegations. Most barely addressed it and left. The ones that have come back have done so to extreme criticism.

So why, if Dream has fake allegations against him, as he not even tried to disprove them? Why is his response to sue instead of simply prove that what happened wasn’t true? Even if there is a court case, even if he can’t talk about it, why has he not tried to adress the hate his community has put out towards victims? Why are his fans not waiting on the side of the victim for Dream to disprove what he’s done?

Because he’s famous enough to get away with it. Because all of these other people who were caught doing this had a fraction of his subscriber count (the largest with about 1/7th of his subscribers). Because there are always going to be people that are always going to side with him.
