listen there really was just something about how in the book, snow’s 3-page descent from hesitant lover boy to deluded mfer happens entirely in his mind. lucy gray gives him no indication whatsoever that she suspects him, that she’s going to leave or betray him. he’s just sitting quietly in the cabin waiting for her to return when that seed of calculated suspicion, which he has needed to survive the capitol, takes a hold of him and chokes the life out of any goodness left inside him. it really drives home your terror as a reader that “oh my god did he kill her? did she escape? what happened to her? why would he even think that?” in a way that when the movie had to adjust for visualization it lost some of that holy shit this guy has lost it emphasis.

What I loved about Cinderella's Castle is it is so entirely about Ella. We know starkid can handle a show with tons and tons of characters but I found it quite refreshing for it to be so wholly her story? I think it was a lovely choice for this show and man Bryce did such a perfect job of it, she is truly such a star

Okay I'm back on grinding out money pins in NEO (as you do) and I'm sorry was anyone going to tell me that the overpowered Gatto Nero pins are each named after a season and the flavor text says they're engraved with the words "seasons greetings"

Implying they were released as seasonal promotions, And, someone in the UG, who had access to pins, would be able to collect them, and be able to tell what time of year it was, perhaps important because their grasp of the passage of time is shaky, wherever they are. And perhaps they could read the pin, and be protected, not just by the power of the psychs, but by knowing that, somewhere, somewhere in the real world, the person who made the pin is trying to say hello?

Or was I supposed to notice on my own and come up with this elaborate headcanon on my own?

if there's any need for a bath, he'll do that too. i think i said it somewhere before that he doesn't actually have anything against water so it's all fine with him; he washes your hair for you and scrubs your body while nuzzling his nose into the side of your face. snow leopard!gojo is so big on physical touch like more so even than non-hybrid him so he has to be glued to you at all times. he doesn't care if you try to push him away bc idk what if he manages to catch the flu too, he'll still be there.

iiif it's like a period cramps kind of sick or just any sort of stomach thing i suppose his favourite thing to do is to knead your tummy!!!!!! he knows exactly how much pressure to apply and his hands are always so so warm too it feels so fucking good and it helps so much too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he often just lays his head on your belly too (that's more just bc he wants to though i think..)

i made a very stiff workaholic MC for @hpowellsmith's Honor Bound and they ended up in a korzhamance! Did they make each other worse? yes :^) Did I love every second of it? without a doubt.

MC lore below the cut because I am rotating them in my mind:

Oriole Bittersea (not to be confused with my dnd character Oriol Battersea who I did base their character on) is a 44 y.o disgraced field medic clinging to their military job like it's a speeding train they just managed to hop onto the back of.

Extremely dutiful, overly reliant on structure of the military to shape their life, and pragmatic, yet kind of artless, they ended up being a slightly more naive version of Korzha lol. I did not realize that was happening because I went it completely blind and didn't know much about the characters except what it said on the tin.

I actually thought they were gonna romance Fiore, but Oriole is someone who would prioritize work over any social commitments so they kept being drawn to Korzha instead, because spending time with Fiore felt frivolous.

ALSO similar to Korzha, Matia ended up being a close friend who helped them unbutton a bit. Side note: I want Matia to be my friend irl, I can't wait to do a more Matia-centric run.

No spoilers, but after several painful fuck-ups and continually failing to look after their health, Korzha remains their last tie to a military they're not really sure they want to be attached to anymore, while Korzha is in it deeper than ever. I did not have the heart to break them up after everything, but they are in for an interesting future together :^)

Arya closed her eyes, waiting for the collision. Of Jon running his hands through her hair. Of his fingers ghosting the shells of her ears. Of his rough whispers of welcome home and I missed you.

Maybe he would even shower her face with kisses like she had done to him a lifetime ago, uncaring of the courtyard of people watching their every move.

A sharp inhale led to the faint smell of cold, rotting heads that floated to her, the scent of death not unfamiliar to her nose.

Didn't you hear? The innkeep questioned. Arya focused on the way her weathered hands filled the tankard with a practiced ease. Bolton's heads, on Winterfell's gates and their bodies, given to the trees. A welcome home gift for the Princess Arya, from the new King Jon, so the words be.

She wanted to ask about it, but that was a question for later. She still had the letter she wrote to him about Wylla being his mother, that was for later, too. And the sacrifice was enough, it seemed. The old gods called her back, making her their own gift to the new vengeful king.

She didn't let the tears fall until she was wrapped in his arms, her head firmly against his chest. He sighed like a weight dropped off his shoulders, broken away like ash from hollowing wood. The fingers of his left hand burrowed in her hair, caressing her scalp. Tingles burst all over. This felt different somehow, yet she could not pinpoint where the difference truly was. Yet she knew one thing...

The warmth from his chest was the realisation that she was well and truly home.

I'm so tired of people pretending Jon only likes warrior women. What about his interactions with Ygritte make them think he likes her romantically because she's a warrior and she's unladylike and all that? GRRM said he saw in Ygritte some of Arya's traits, and since he loves Arya, those traits aren't off putting to him. But they aren't attractive to him either. Period. 1) He didn't have much of a choice regarding Ygritte. Would he ever have laid eyes on her if she wasn't so insistent and if his life wasn't at risk? 2) He doesn't like her violence. He felt like a dog while being with her near the other wildlings. He constantly argued with her whenever her values were made clear. He tried to comfort her as a gallant boyfriend when she cried because the wall "tried to kill her" and she punched him too hard for it. He abandoned her because she was ruthless and killed an innocent old man. 3) He doesn't find her attractive at first, when he actually compares her a lot with Arya. He thinks it's silly that the wildlings consider her a great beauty because of her red hair. Like, it looks unbrushed! Things he actually likes about her: her singing, the way his hair shines with the firelight, the way she looks at him, when they're kissing and talking nonsense. That's it. They talk for more than 2 minutes and there's nothing left. They're too different and he doesn't agree with her views on the world. But people are so insistent in denying the mere possibility of jonsa that they look at this mess of a relationship and think "oh yes, Jon walked willingly into this and he would never look at another woman if she's not like Ygritte because she's his perfect type" 😑. And even if he did like her completely and felt attracted to all those things about her, do people really think that humans are only ever attracted to one type of person through their whole lifes? Be for real now.

I ask because I've seen a lot of people saying that reading the books for the first time in Chronological order ruins the experience. I find this interesting because I just finished reading them for the first time in Chronological order and I feel it heightened my experience.

Rory has been trending a little bun-obsessed lately, probably because we have lots of bunnies in our condo complex and she has to practice a lot of impulse control as she can't chase or really fixate on them, so I've been looking for ways to help her fulfill her bunny-murder urges safely.

Unfortunately we don't have a ton of areas I comfortable coursing her (letting her chase buns until she can't see them or catches them) because our bunnies are mostly urban animals BUT I was at the bougie pet store for unrelated reasons and they had dried rabbit feets which gave me an idea!

I bought a few and got some paper bags and put Rory in another room while I hid them around the apartment to sniff out, destroy, and eat. I figured it would satisfy some of her murder urges, even if it's not the whole predation sequence.

She was pretty happy about it! I'll try to add this to our rotation of enrichment activities and maybe get a few rabbit feet to chuck at her outdoors sometimes. Hopefully it'll help vent those bunny frustrations so they don't build up and hurt my good dog behaviours.
