Real Skincare Guide
Tumblr media
Level 1: breakouts, non-painful, a little scarring
Minimize your skincare routine, all you need is an oil cleanser (if you wear a lot of makeup) than a good foam cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Repeat the same routine before bed just without the sunscreen.
Wear sunscreen everyday!!!
Always apply more moisturizer than you think you need.
Drink a lot of water (2-3LT)
Get consistent sleep
Take a multi vitamins to balance your hormones. I recommend the One-A-Day Woman’s Vitamins (get a real pill cause the gummies don’t have enough iron)
Work on your stress (breathe work, meditate, journal, yoga, walks, going out with friends, therapy, etc)
Look at what body oils/shampoo/conditioner you are using. Could be your akin reacting poorly to something in there.
Level 2: consistant breakouts, acne, scarring
All the stuff for Level 1 apply.
Minimize your skincare routine and than slowly add back in stuff like hydrochloric acid and retinol. Having an elaborate skincare will just make your skin worse. First, focus on healing your skin barrier.
If you are a teenager, it just might be your hormones/growing pains. It will go away eventually.
Pimple Patches work and are especially good if you are trying to stop touching your face.
Wash your pillow cases every 1-2 weeks.
Try to sleep on your back.
If you pop a pimple than apply an antibiotic ointment.
No point in using anti-aging products if you are under the age of 25. It just won’t do anything for you.
Note that if you take in a lot of nicotine you will breakout. If you smoke and you have bad skin, it probably won’t improve unless you quit or lessen the dosage.
Level 3: painful consistent breakouts/acne/scars, redness, irritability, hurts,
Go see a dermatologist!
Acne is can be a real problem. If your acne is painful seek professional help.
If Accutane is recommended, than I would do it. Based only on the experiences of my friends, I have seen great results after a couple months. There are side effects and it is not for everyone but if a professional says you should than I might consider it.
No topical treatment is going to make those scars go away. You are going to need to laser resurfacing which is like this secret treatment rich people do to clear up their skin. It is expensive but really works. Beauty brands want you to think that the right cream can clear up your skin but if you have bad scarring you are only going to see real results with laser treatments
All of the above recommendations still apply
Your acne does not take away from your beauty or your worth as a human being. Remember that acne is normal and social media is fake.

Guerlain x Influenster | Abeille Royale Honey Treatment with Hyaluronic Acid
I received these complimentary products from @influenster and @guerlain in exchange for my honest opinion. Abeille Royale Guerlain Honey Treatment Day Cream with Hyaluronic Acid has a light, floral fragrance. It’s easily absorbed into my skin. On application, I see an immediate improvement in radiance. It leaves my skin smooth to the touch. It’s light and non-greasy. It doesn’t have the expected…

Skin Routine
Hello, lovely fans,
It is the amazing Assistant, and today I will be walking you through my day-to-day skincare routine.
Tumblr media
Vitner’s Daughter Active Reviewer facial cleanser (98$)--This facial cleanser not only removes impurities such as makeup, sunscreen and daily buildup, but it also visibly brightens, balances and energizes the skin, even reducing pore size. It is perfect for hydration and moisturization, suitable for all skin types.
Tumblr media
SK-II Facial Treatment Clear Lotion Toner ($76)--The main ingredient in this is Pittera, a signature ingredient containing 50 micro-nutrients that condition and help improve the overall appearance of the skin, starting with uneven texture. It also feels very hydrating and soothing upon application, and it cleans the pores.
Tumblr media
SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic ($128)--This is the gold standard vitamin C product, containing vitamin C, ferulic acid, and vitamin E. It’s used to address hyperpigmentation and dullness. The results are simply astounding.
Tumblr media
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Serum Crystal Elixir (80$)--It contains several acids that immediately create a plumping effect to help make your skin look younger and smoother. It also contains shea oil which helps to lock in moisture but doesn’t make the skin feel oily. Instead, it has a slight iridescence to it, though not enough to make the skin look oily.
Tumblr media
Chanel Sublimage La Crème Yeux Ultime Regeneration Eye Cream (230$)--This eye cream is a favourite of mine. Its key ingredient is vanilla which has a firming, evening effect, while also healing the skin.
Tumblr media
La Mer Crème de La Mer (100$)--This is a moisturizer that once you start you will never be able to put down. The signature ingredients in this miracle in a jar are combined through a bio-fermentation process that combines vitamins, oils and minerals to keep your skin refreshed and healthy.
Tumblr media
Guerlain Abeille Royale Advanced Youth Watery Oil (95$)--Those who love luxury as much as I do will fall in love with this face oil. The ultra-light formula is packed with moisture-replenishing honey & antioxidant-rich royal jelly to plump and brighten skin.
Tumblr media
La Prairie Cellular Swiss UV Protection Sunscreen (200$)--This sunscreen goes over everything and has a broad spectrum that protects against both UVA and UVB rays and has the protection of SPF 50. The light fragrance and silky texture make it easy to use.

Down to the last drop 💧 This is a looong overdue post. Sharing some of my personal favorites from Guerlain. I’ve always loved using the Double R on my clients because it’s like hitting 2 birds with one stone. Really moisturizes and nourishes the skin instantly. Another personal fave is the Abeille Royale Youth Watery Oil. Plumpness on the skin without any invasive treatments. It leaves a certain radiance on the skin without any trace of grease at all. I also love their makeup and the L’or Primers, too. I love how most of their skin care are empowered by Honey and Royal Jelly. Anything close to nature is always good, right? 💛 #GuerlainPh @lyraprieto @guerlain https://www.instagram.com/p/CfloWpBPBsy/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Guerlain for Bees – Why Honey Is Good for Your Skin
Off of the French coast, there’s a place called Ouessant, and along with it a proverb – “He who sees Ouessant sees his blood”.
This proverb is very familiar to all those who know Ouessant.  Dangerous waves and stormy weather, this windswept island is surrounded by reefs and strong currents.  One of the stormiest places in the world, Ouessant gets hit with enormous low-pressure systems that swirl eastward across the North Atlantic 6 months out of the year.  During the summertime though, these waves and storms are a distant memory.  The island is calm, quiet, and peaceful while these storms surrounding the island protects one of the world’s best kept secrets.  Our adventure takes us from Paris to Ouessant with one of the most established perfume, cosmetics and skincare houses in the world – Guerlain.  Rich in tradition and constantly striving for perfection, Guerlain takes us to the heart and soul of the brand by showing us how they bring beauty to their products while appreciating their clients and respecting the planet.
Ouessant is about 1 and 1/2 hours by ferry.  I usually don’t get motion sickness, but this water ride was a different story.  Stomach turning and head pounding, I understood immediately what that proverb meant.  Even for a calm sunny summer day, the currents were strong and it rocked the ferry.
The secret to this island is about 15 mm long.  A unique element of this world’s natural heritage, the black bees of Ouessant are particularly special.
Ouessant island is about 11 miles from the French coast.  Due to this distance, there’s a natural barrier that protects it against pollution and diseases.  The ecosystem on this island is one of the purest and most biodiverse ecosystems in the world. And it is home to the Apis Mellifera Mellifera, a native species of black bee.  These black bees thrive on the island’s natural resources without the need for pesticides or chemicals, making the honey they produce one of the best and purest in the world.
For the last 15 years, Guerlain works in partnership with the Brittany Black Bee Conservatory on Ouessant to protect these black bees and to guarantee sustainable sourcing while seeking the rarest natural ingredients and best honey to formulate their products.  Now the question… why honey?
According to Professor Bernard Descottes of the Limoges University Hospital with over 25 years of research, honey helps heal wounds more quickly and even regenerates the skin.  Dating back to more than 4000 years, honey is one of the oldest skin-care ingredients. It’s a natural humectant, which means it pulls moisture into the skin thus providing incredible hydration.
Honey also contains antioxidants, antiseptic, and antibacterial properties (it’s very low on the pH scale).  Using the purest honey from the Ouessant black bees creates Royal Jelly, which Guerlain uses to develop a skincare regime that is scientifically aimed to minimize the visible signs of aging on the skin.
My trip to Ouessant with Guerlain was eye-opening.  I had the rare opportunity to see the native Ouessant black bees up close, to meet the passionate beekeepers, and to learn about Guerlain’s commitment to sustainability.  And now the heroes on our vanity tables *drum roll*:
1. Abeille Royale Youth Watery Oil :: Formulated with Guerlain’s Royal Jelly, this face oil is a bridge between an essence and a serum.  Combining the strength of a serum, the richness of an oil, and the freshness of a toner, this face oil is light yet powerful.  It leaves the skin hydrated, silky, and smooth. It’s a great texture for those who find face oils too heavy and toners too light.
2. Abeille Royale Double R – Renew & Repair Serum :: The power of two serums in one!  The Renew formula (the side with the gel base) and the Repair formula (the cream side) works together in tandem to create a soft-peel treatment to promote skin regeneration.  And it smells like heaven!!!
3. Abeille Royale Mattifying Day Cream :: Honestly, this is one of my favorite creams!  When you think about ‘mattifying’, the first thing that comes to mind is dull and dry.  This cream is the exact opposite. It takes away the shine while leaving your face hydrated with a healthy glow.  It’s also an incredible primer! I use it right before applying makeup and it helps minimize my pores and lines.
4. Aqua Allegoria Bergamote Calabria :: Their commitment to sustainability extends to their fragrances.  These gorgeous perfume bottles can be personalized and refilled! This particular scent, Bergamot Calabria, is my favorite!  I personally love natural bright citrusy scents (versus scents that smell artificial and sweet) and this one with notes of bergamot is unique, uplifting, and fresh.  It’s such a great day and summer scent!
5. And last but not least, the Rouge G Customizable Lipsticks :: Taking recycle and reuse to a new level – an incredibly chic level!  These Rouge G de Guerlain shades are sold without a case. Instead, customizable lipstick cases are encouraged to be reused once the lipsticks are gone with the goal to reduce waste.  The cases have a double-mirror attached inside. The matte colors are not dry or dull, but instead have a soft creamy finish. My favorite nudes are No. 01 Matte, No. 04 Matte, and No. 17 Satin, and favorite summer red is No. 26 Matte.
I hope you enjoyed our travel & skincare photo story!  From Bee to Bottle, Guerlain is thoughtful and purposeful every step of the way.  Starting next year, they’re launching a digital platform that will trace each ingredient back to the source on each product.  A scan code will be attached to each product and we can see an explanation on each ingredient, why Guerlain picked that particular ingredient, where it’s from, the factory where the packaging is made, etc.  I truly appreciate Guerlain’s mission in bringing beauty to the products, people, and planet.

A special addition to my morning and evening skin care ritual. This special duo from @Guerlain . First is the ABEILLE ROYALE YOUTH WATERY OIL, similar to a serum/oil with Ouessant Honey and Guerlain’s special royal jelly. Not thick and heavy at all, and It never leaves any greasy feel. After that, i layer it with the ABEILLE ROYALE DOUBLE RENEW & REPAIR SERUM, which i sooo need, haha. It gives a soft-peel treatment to firm, lift, resculp, and minimize pores. Ahhhh!!!! I am head over heels in love ♥️ #Guerlain #GuerlainPH #denisediscovers @rustansthebeautysource @lyraprieto https://www.instagram.com/p/CROgqIsthSB/?utm_medium=tumblr
