Obvious takeaways from the pics: the packaging scratched from my glasses cleaner wipes which is obviously soft and not meant to scratch glasses, and the packaging retained dust like no other. I had a hard time keeping it clean enough for pictures. The packaging is pretty at first, until you realize how impossible it is to keep clean. So it’s best to keep its original container to keep the dust away as much as possible.

Now on to the scent: I was disappointed that lime wasn’t the key scent in this fragrance. I was so excited to see it in the name, I thought it would be the main scent. Instead the sandalwood is very overpowering. It still smells pleasant, although the scent still gave me a big headache (because it was really strong). I have another lime fragrance from a competitor that doesn’t give me a headache and I think that’s because the lime is such a forward scent without other scents competing to be the head, and I prefer lime to sandalwood. But there seemed to be multiple scent points vying for that lead scent in this product, which made it hard to distinguish them all. I ended up a bit disappointed in this one. It was average to me, so unless you enjoy sandalwood, skip this one. Three out of five stars.

Fenty Icon Semi-Matte Refillable Lipstick Set in shade Sorta Single from 2023 Holiday Collection

I hadn’t seen this swatched anywhere and the shade looked so pretty online so I took a chance and splurged. Online it looked a bit more pink but in person it’s a cranberry shade. Perfect for Fall! I own several Fenty products but this is the first bullet lipstick I’ve tried. It’s not transfer proof but blotting it leaves a gorgeous stain that lasted several hours.

This is a very bold color for me to wear but I think I’m able to pull it off. It’s the perfect holiday shade, it’s like the bolder older sister of Glossier Generation G in Cranberry.

It contains three things to combat acne: Blemish Breakthrough Acne Clarifying Cleanser with 1% salicylic acid, niacinamide, and zinc, Blemish Breakthrough Triple-Acid Resurfacing Serum with 8.5% triple-acid complex and 10% niacinamide, and the Blemish Breakthrough Stick it to Zits hydrocolloid pimple patches.

I’ve talked before about how all of these types of products are fantastic at combatting acne. If my acne is being especially stubborn, I will switch to a cleanser that is meant to target acne like this one (I don’t use it everyday because these types of cleansers can also dry out skin and I have a dry leaning skin type. This cleanser also suggests to only apply to effected areas). I don’t use the exfoliating serum at the same time as the cleanser, since salicylic acid is a BHA, and stacking acids can lead to irritated skin. So I make sure to use a gentle cleanser with no actives before using the resurfacing serum. I really liked this one, when I made sure to be careful with what I used with it, my skin handled it well, and I have a sensitive skin type. Lastly I love pimple patches for especially stubborn and painful hormonal acne. If your pimples is refusing to heal for multiple days or it hurts, apply a patch overnight and it will help suck the gunk to the top and help speed up healing. Definitely was happy with all three of these products!
