I forgot to post these lmaoo,, the road trip was supposed to be for titversary day 1,,, they got lost cuz of tamara lmaoo
The 2nd one is an attempt to design their uniforms inspired by altar servers/acolytes. I used this design for the 'take me to church' animatic.
Random thoughts- what if magisterium has more religious symbolism,,, its literally called Magisterium
What if the magic system is similar to Clerics in DND. Theres a god that granted them powers/magic, and they pray to use it. Maybe makars are like prophets, those have a special connection to their god which allows them to have more powerful magic.
Since the symbolisms heavily references catholicism,, constantine adds more into it (u kno, since his namesake literally converted to christianity). Like- idk what if constantine being a makar made him believe that he is strong, that he can become god- thus enemy of death.
Idk idkk what do yall think? Akdnjfndejgh

GRAVE TO CRADLE | EPIC FAILS (EX. 32)
GRAVE TO CRADLE | EPIC FAILS (EX. 32) 'When times get difficult, things become uncertain, and life gets hot, there’s a tendency to throw our God-given value into those fires, at which point, idols jump out.'
Here’s my longer sermon notes from this morning’s Metro Christian Centre service (dated 23rd June 2024), session sixteen in our series journeying through the book of Exodus. Deuteronomy: The Second Giving Of The Law (XIII)
Of Prophets And Gods (13:1-18) Neal Pollard We are surrounded by a world whose view of the world is decidedly different than what the Bible teaches. We know that well, but still find ourselves swayed and influenced by their thinking. Whether it is because we want to fit in or because it seems to be “working” for them or maybe because it appeals to us to some degree, we can become susceptible to…

Our Great High Priest
1 For every high priest chosen from among men is appointed to act on behalf of men in relation to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. 2 He can deal gently with the ignorant and wayward, since he himself is beset with weakness. 3 Because of this he is obligated to offer sacrifice for his own sins just as he does for those of the people. 4 And no one takes this honor for himself, but only…

The Tanach writing Moses as having a bad stutter from burning his mouth as a baby and needing his brother Aaron to come with him to talk to the Pharaoh and still not being questioned once as God's prophet has done more for Jewish disability rep than 95% of current media.

Daily Devotional: Exodus 7:1-7
Yahweh instructs Moses to tell Pharaoh all that He commands, and Aaron is Moses’s prophet—or mouth piece. Here, we see the job of a prophet. A prophet is the mouth piece of God. What the prophet says as a prophet is the word of God, not his own words. That is why the Old Testament issued the death penalty to Old Testament prophets who were incorrect in their predictions (Deuteronomy 18:20-22). In…

thinking about the fluids of the hebrew bible. about how these are not meant for drinking. pus, semen, blood. if there is water here, it has metal melted into it. if there is milk, it belongs to another’s mother. tinny on the tongue, these aren’t meant for you. and yet there is a swallowing. god’s amniotic fluids down prophetic throats. aaron drinking gold. samuel and his horn of oil. sometimes, the biblical text nourishes its bodies in ways that fit ill—that makes them ill, even. it is nourishing all the same. god won’t let you die of thirst but he doesn’t have to be sweet, either

VIRGIN MARY 🌹 PROPHET JESUS IN QURAN 🌹
Virgin Mary Prophet Jesus son of Mary 🌹 _ in Quran 🌹
And Mary the daughter of 'Imran, who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into (her body) of Our spirit; and she testified to the truth of the words of her Lord and of His Revelations, and was one of the devout (servants).66:12
Mention in the Quran the story of Mary. She withdrew from her family to a place to the east 19:16
and secluded herself away; We sent Our Spirit to appear before her in the form of a perfected man. 19:17
She said, ‘I seek the Lord of Mercy’s protection against you: if you have any fear of Him [do not approach]!’ 19:18
but he said, ‘I am but a Mes-senger from your Lord, [come] to announce to you the gift of a pure son.’
She said, ‘How can I have a son when no man has touched me? I have not been unchaste,’ 19:20
and he said, ‘This is what your Lord said: “It is easy for Me- We shall make him a sign to all people, a blessing from Us.”’
19:21
And so it was ordained: she conceived him. She withdrew to a distant place
and, when the pains of childbirth drove her to [cling to] the trunk of a palm tree, she exclaimed, ‘I wish I had been dead and forgotten long before all this!’ 19:23
but a voice cried to her from below, ‘Do not worry: your Lord has provided a stream at your feet
and, if you shake the trunk of the palm tree towards you, it will deliver fresh ripe dates for you, 19:25
so eat, drink, be glad, and say to anyone you may see: “I have vowed to the Lord of Mercy to abstain from conversation, and I will not talk to anyone today.”’
She went back to her people carrying the child, and they said, ‘Mary! You have done something terrible! 19:27
Sister of Aaron! Your father was not an evil man; your mother was not unchaste!’ 19:28
She pointed at him. They said, ‘How can we converse with an infant?’
[But] he said: ‘I am a servant of God. He has granted me the Scripture; made me a prophet; 19:30
made me blessed wherever I may be. He commanded me to pray, to give alms as long as I live, 19:31
to cherish my mother. He did not make me domineering or graceless.
Peace was on me the day I was born, and will be on me the day I die and the day I am raised to life again.’ 19:33
Such was Jesus, son of Mary. [This is] a statement of the Truth about which they are in doubt:
it would not befit God to have a child. He is far above that: when He decrees something, He says only, ‘Be,’ and it is. 19:35
‘God is my Lord and your Lord, so serve Him: that is a straight path.’
— Imran Our Lady Mary
God chose Adam, Noah, Abraham’s family, and the family of Imran, over all other people, 3:33
in one line of descent- God hears and knows all.
Imran’s wife said, ‘Lord, I have dedicated what is growing in my womb entirely to You; so accept this from me. You are the One who hears and knows all,’ 3:35
but when she gave birth, she said, ‘My Lord! I have given birth to a girl’- God knew best what she had given birth to: the male is not like the female- ‘ I name her Mary and I commend her and her offspring to Your protection from the rejected Satan.’ 3:36
Her Lord graciously accepted her and made her grow in goodness, and entrusted her to the charge of Zachariah. Whenever Zachariah went in to see her in her sanctuary, he found her supplied with provisions. He said, ‘Mary, how is it you have these provisions?’ and she said, ‘They are from God: God provides limitlessly for whoever He will.’ 3:37
— Mary Jesus Torah and the Gospel
The angels said to Mary: ‘Mary, God has chosen you and made you pure: He has truly chosen you above all women.
3:42
Mary, be devout to your Lord, prostrate yourself in worship, bow down with those who pray.’
This is an account of things beyond your knowledge that We reveal to you [Muhammad]: you were not present among them when they cast lots to see which of them should take charge of Mary, you were not present with them when they argued [about her]. 3:44
The angels said, ‘Mary, God gives you news of a Word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, who will be held in honour in this world and the next, who will be one of those brought near to God. 3:45
He will speak to people in his infancyand in his adulthood. He will be one of the righteous.’
She said, ‘My Lord, how can I have a son when no man has touched me?’ [The angel] said, ‘This is how God creates what He will: when He has ordained something, He only says, “Be”, and it is. 3:47
He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel, 3:48
He will send him as a messenger to the Children of Israel: “I have come to you with a sign from your Lord: I will make the shape of a bird for you out of clay, then breathe into it and, with God’s permission, it will become a real bird; I will heal the blind and the leper, and bring the dead back to life with God’s permission; I will tell you what you may eat and what you may store up in your houses. There truly is a sign for you in this, if you are believers. 3:49
I have come to confirm the truth of the Torah which preceded me, and to make some things lawful to you which used to be forbidden. I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. Be mindful of God, obey me:
God is my Lord and your Lord, so serve Him- that is a straight path.”’
When Jesus realized they [still] did not believe, he said, ‘Who will help me in God’s cause?’ The disciples said, ‘We will be God’s helpers; we believe in God- witness our devotion to Him. 3:52
Lord, we believe in what You have revealed and we follow the messenger: record us among those who bear witness [to the Truth].’
The [disbelievers] schemed but God also schemed; God is the Best of Schemers. 3:54
God said, ‘Jesus, I will take you back and raise you up to Me: I will purify you of the disbelievers. To the Day of Resurrection I will make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieved. Then you will all return to Me and I will judge between you regarding your differences. 3:55
I will make the disbelievers suffer severely in this world and the next; no one will help them.’ 3:56
God will pay those who believe and do good deeds their reward in full; God does not love evildoers.
We relate to you [Muhammad] this revelation, a decisive statement. 3:58
In God’s eyes Jesus is just like Adam: He created him from dust, said to him, ‘Be’, and he was.
This is the truth from your Lord, so do not be one of those who doubt. 3:60
O population of the Book, why do you argue about Ibrahim? And in no way were the Tawrah (The Book revealed to Musa "Moses") and the Injil (The Book revealed to Isa "Jesus") sent down except even after him. Do you not then consider?3:65
Say [Muhammad], ‘We [Muslims] believe in God and in what has been sent down to us and to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes. We believe in what has been given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets from their Lord. We do not make a distinction between any of the [prophets]. It is to Him that we devote ourselves.’ 3:84
If anyone seeks a religion other than [islam] complete devotion to God, it will not be accepted from him: he will be one of the losers in the Hereafter. 3:85
— Jesus the Gospel
We gave Moses the Scripture and We sent messengers after him in succession. We gave Jesus, son of Mary, clear signs and strengthened him with the Holy Spirit. So how is it that, whenever a messenger brings you something you do not like, you become arrogant, calling some impostors and killing others?
We favoured some of these messengers above others. God spoke to some; others He raised in rank; We gave Jesus, son of Mary, Our clear signs and strengthened him with the holy spirit. If God had so willed, their successors would not have fought each other after they had been brought clear signs. But they disagreed: some believed and some disbelieved. If God had so willed, they would not have fought each other, but God does what He will. 2:253
and because they disbelieved and uttered a terrible slander against Mary, 4:156
and said, ‘We have killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the Messenger of God.’ (They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, though it was made to appear like that to them; those that disagreed about him are full of doubt, with no knowledge to follow, only supposition: they certainly did not kill him-4:157
God raised him up to Himself. God is almighty and wise.
There is not one of the People of the Book who will not believe in [Jesus] before his death, and on the Day of Resurrection he will be a witness against them.)4:159
People of the Book, do not go to excess in your religion, and do not say anything about God except the truth: the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was nothing more than a messenger of God, His word, directed to Mary, a spirit from Him. So believe in God and His messengers and do not speak of a ‘Trinity’- stop [this], that is better for you- God is only one God, He is far above having a son, everything in the heavens and earth belongs to Him and He is the best one to trust. 4:171
The Messiah would never disdain to be a servant of God, nor would the angels who are close to Him. He will gather before Him all those who disdain His worship and are arrogant: 4:172
to those who believe and do good works He will give due rewards and more of His bounty; to those who are disdainful and arrogant He will give an agonizing torment, and they will find no one besides God to protect or help them.
Those who say, ‘God is the Messiah, the son of Mary,’ are defying the truth. Say, ‘If it had been God’s will, could anyone have prevented Him from destroying the Messiah, son of Mary, together with his mother and everyone else on earth? Control of the heavens and earth and all that is between them belongs to God: He creates whatever He will. God has power over everything.’ 5:17
The Jews and the Christians say, ‘We are the children of God and His beloved ones.’ Say, ‘Then why does He punish you for your sins? You are merely human beings, part of His creation: He forgives whoever He will and punishes whoever He will. Control of the heavens and earth and all that is between them belongs to Him: all journeys lead to Him.’
We sent Jesus, son of Mary, in their footsteps, to confirm the Torah that had been sent before him: We gave him the Gospel with guidance, light, and confirmation of the Torah already revealed- a guide and lesson for those who take heed of God.5:46
So let the followers of the Gospel judge according to what God has sent down in it. Those who do not judge according to what God has revealed are lawbreakers.
We sent to you [Muhammad] the Scripture with the truth, confirming the Scriptures that came before it, and with final authority over them: so judge between them according to what God has sent down. Do not follow their whims, which deviate from the truth that has come to you. We have assigned a law and a path to each of you. If God had so willed, He would have made you one community, but He wanted to test you through that which He has given you, so race to do good: you will all return to God and He will make clear to you the matters you differed about. 5:48
Those who say, ‘God is the Messiah, son of Mary,’ have defied God. The Messiah himself said, ‘Children of Israel, worship God, my Lord and your Lord.’ If anyone associates others with God, God will forbid him from the Garden, and Hell will be his home. No one will help such evildoers. 5:72
Those people who say that God is the third of three are defying [the truth]: there is only One God. If they persist in what they are saying, a painful punishment will afflict those of them who persist.
Why do they not turn to God and ask His forgiveness, when God is most forgiving, most merciful?5:74
Say, ‘People of the Book, do not overstep the bounds of truth in your religion and do not follow the whims of those who went astray before you- they led many others astray and themselves continue to stray from the even path.’
Those Children of Israel who defied [God] were rejected through the words of David, and Jesus, son of Mary, because they disobeyed, they persistently overstepped the limits,5:78
they did not forbid each other to do wrong. How vile their deeds were!
On the Day when God assembles all the messengers and asks, ‘What response did you receive?’ they will say, ‘We do not have that knowledge: You alone know things that cannot be seen.’5:109
Then God will say, ‘Jesus, son of Mary! Remember My favour to you and to your mother: how I strengthened you with the holy spirit, so that you spoke to people in your infancy and as a grown man; how I taught you the Scripture and wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel; how, by My leave, you fashioned the shape of a bird out of clay, breathed into it, and it became, by My leave, a bird; how, by My leave, you healed the blind person and the leper; how, by My leave, you brought the dead back to life; how I restrained the Children of Israel from [harming] you when you brought them clear signs, and those of them who disbelieved said, “This is clearly nothing but sorcery”;5:110
and how I inspired the disciples to believe in Me and My messengers- they said, “We believe and bear witness that we devote ourselves [to God].”’
When the disciples said, ‘Jesus, son of Mary, can your Lord send down a feast to us from heaven?’ he said, ‘Beware of God if you are true believers.’5:112
They said, ‘We wish to eat from it; to have our hearts reassured; to know that you have told us the truth; and to be witnesses of it.’
Jesus, son of Mary, said, ‘Lord, send down to us a feast from heaven so that we can have a festival- the first and last of us- and a sign from You. Provide for us: You are the best provider.’ 5:114
God said, ‘I will send it down to you, but anyone who disbelieves after this will be punished with a punishment that I will not inflict on anyone else in the world.’
When God says, ‘Jesus, son of Mary, did you say to people, “Take me and my mother as two gods alongside God”?’ he will say, ‘May You be exalted! I would never say what I had no right to say- if I had said such a thing You would have known it: You know all that is within me, though I do not know what is within You, You alone have full knowledge of things unseen-5:116
I told them only what You commanded me to: “Worship God, my Lord and your Lord.” I was a witness over them during my time among them. Ever since You took my soul, You alone have been the watcher over them: You are witness to all things
and if You punish them, they are Your servants; if You forgive them, You are the Almighty, the Wise.’5:118
Zachariah, John, Jesus, and Elijah- every one of them was righteous- 6:85
The Jews said, ‘Ezra is the son of God,’ and the Christians said, ‘The Messiah is the son of God’: they said this with their own mouths, repeating what earlier disbelievers had said. May God confound them! How far astray they have been led!
9:30
They take their rabbis and their monks as lords, as well as Christ, the son of Mary. But they were commanded to serve only one God: there is no god but Him; He is far above whatever they set up as His partners! 9:31 [Surah At-Tawbah]
They say, ‘God has children!’ May He be exalted! He is the Self-Sufficient One; everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him. You have no authority to say this. How dare you say things about God without any knowledge? 10:68
Say [Prophet], ‘Those who invent lies about God will not prosper.’
They may have a little enjoyment in this world, but then they will return to Us. Then We shall make them taste severe punishment for persisting in blasphemy. 10:70 [Surah Yunus]
and to warn those who claim, “Allah has offspring.”18:4
They have no knowledge about this, nor did their forefathers––it is a monstrous assertion that comes out of their mouths: what they say is nothing but lies.18:5

Numbers 9:1-14 - Second Passover
The Israelites were freed from slavery in Egypt and were commanded to celebrate their exodus every year as a way to remember what the Lord had done for them. In English this remembrance is called Passover.
The Passover required the sacrifice of a lamb or wild goat at the temple, which would then be eaten that night along with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. People who were not allowed to make a sacrifice at the temple were not allowed to eat the sacrificed lamb or goat.
A group of men were in distress because they couldn't participate in Passover for being unclean from touching a corpse. People die and their body needs to be taken care of, but touching a corpse makes someone ritually impure. They went to Moses & Aaron and asked what they're to do since they can't offer a sacrifice on the day required by the Lord.
Moses takes their plight to the Lord and God responds to their pain and need for inclusion by establishing a second chance to partake in Passover a month later for anyone who touched a corpse or couldn't make the lengthy journey to the temple at that time. This is known as Second Passover.
Anyone who was able to celebrate Passover on the traditional day were to do so and not exploit this new rule, which shows that making something more accessible doesn't impact the majority, they can carry on and shouldn't feel threatened or devalued because others get to be included.
In this story, people refused to accept their fate and fought for their inclusion. I don't think that these men were being oppositional. They were saying, “What we have right now is not enough. Why should we be left out?” They knew the Lord well enough to know they deserved more.
Another lesson is that God is a gracious God, not wanting anyone to be left out or excluded. Over and over we learn that God's way is radical inclusion.
This story shows the benefit of having a living prophet who could be asked for a solution. The revelation given in answer to the predicament blesses the whole community and blesses the future generations as it benefits anyone who finds that they couldn't participate in traditional Passover.
Rabbinic writings in the Mishnah strove to make the Second Passover as inclusive as possible. Any kind of ritual impurity, not just having contact with a corpse, is a valid reason to observe Second Passover. Those who have to make a lengthy journey to the temple and couldn't do so in time for Passover were allowed to participate in Second Passover, and the Mishnah argues for a broad interpretation, basically anywhere outside the Temple qualifies as a lengthy journey. It's a reminder to look again at the requirements and interpret them to be as inclusive as possible.
Second Passover long ago lost its significance ever since the Jewish temple was destroyed because it means no sacrifices are offered or eaten, therefore no one is excluded from participating. However, in 2009 several Jewish groups began recognizing Second Passover as a holiday of second chances and inclusion, such as for those released from prison, recovering from addiction, or having mental health issues. In 2016, this expanded and many see Second Passover as a holiday for LGBTQ acceptance and inclusion. The LGBTQ community organizes events at schools, homes, and seminaries where a religious member of the LGBTQ community will speak and share their experiences so that the larger Jewish community can better understand their unique challenges and needs.
Some have used the idea of Second Passover to argue for marriage equality. Just like with the traditional Passover, because of extenuating circumstances not everyone is able to get married in the traditional way, but the Second Passover suggests those who are unable to meet the requirements of the traditional Passover have a path to participate. They will still be held to the same standards, the same level of commitment and respect within their relationships. Being different doesn't mean a different standard, it means finding ways to be included equally.

Jewish Song of the Day #32: Miriam Haneviah
youtube
Comments:
Shavua tov! I hope you all had a nice, restful Shabbat and that its sweetness lasts you through the whole week.
I love this song, not just because it's Rabbi Deborah Sacks Mintz, but also because it's a feminist counterpart to Eliyahu Hanavi.
This is Rabbi Sacks Mintz's explanation:
In the 1980s, poet and liturgist Rabbi Leila Gal Berner composed a beautiful poetic midrash on one particular narrative moment we read in Exodus: Miriam’s role in leading the women of her community through the sea from the marginalization and oppression of slavery and into the unknown wilderness of freedom. An exploration of her beautiful poetry must begin with a framing of that very Exodus verse: וַתִּקַּח֩ מִרְיָ֨ם הַנְּבִיאָ֜ה אֲח֧וֹת אַהֲרֹ֛ן אֶת־הַתֹּ֖ף בְּיָדָ֑הּ וַתֵּצֶ֤אןָ כָֽל־הַנָּשִׁים֙ אַחֲרֶ֔יהָ בְּתֻפִּ֖ים וּבִמְחֹלֹֽת׃ “Then Miriam the prophetess, Aaron’s sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women went out after her in dance with timbrels” (Exodus 15:20) Her curiosity with this verse, combined with a desire to see women prophets and leaders recognized more broadly in ritual moments, drove her to compose the poem we today know as Miriam HaNeviah. Written with a rhythmic cadence designed to match the traditional Eliyahu HaNavi melody, her hope was to raise Miriam up in the moment of havdalah. The lyrics to the poem itself highlight Miriam’s leadership as multi-faceted: strengthening the the world’s song through her dance, repairing the world through her song, and ultimately, bringing on the waters of redemption only with the partnership of the broader community. I was deeply inspired by Rabbi Berner, as well as one of my collaborative colleagues Rabbi Ariel Root Wolpe, to continue this process of creative midrash by adding to the story R’ Berner began. She wrote a new text to be sung to a traditional melody, and I wrote a new melody to be sung to that very text. R’ Wolpe herself writes feminist poetry exploring the role of Miriam and, through the context of our hevruta studying women ancestral leaders in prayer and song, unearthed this new melody from inside my own heart and soul. From a compositional standpoint, the chorus is the main event of this song. Reading “bimheira b’yameinu” - quickly, in our days - there is an urgency to the hope and prayer embedded in this poem for redemption, and thus the melody itself mirrors that urgency, ascending upwards on the word “bimheira.” Other compositional tactics I used regarding such manners of word-painting, include a dance-like groove underscoring each verse, in recognition of the repetition of the phrase “tirkod itanu - dance with us.” But by far the most essential creative component of this song is that it was recorded exclusively with women. My artistic team for this recording consisted of Rabbi Ariel Root Wolpe, who I mentioned above, as well as Chava Mirel and Elana Arian, two of my long time musical partners who themselves have dedicated their lives in service to the Jewish people through composing, performing, and leading new Jewish music around the world - as both ritual leaders and as women, wives, and mothers. We all felt a deep connection to the women who came before us - including Miriam, as well as the women rabbis and musicians who have influenced our work and lives since - and poured this inspiration into the project. The lush harmonies in this recording are designed to be representative of the voices of generations of women in prayer, song, and leadership.
And here are the lyrics:
מִרְיָם הַנְּבִיאָה עֹז וְזִמְרָה בְּיָדָהּ בִּמְהֵרָה בְיָמֵינוּ הִיא תְּבִיאֵנ אֶל מֵי הַיְשׁוּעָה מִרְיָם תִּרְקֹד אִתָּנוּ לְהַגְדִּיל זִמְרַת עוֹלָם מִרְיָם תִּרְקֹד אִתָּנוּ לְתַקֵּן אֶת-הָעוֹלָם בִּמְהֵרָה בְיָמֵינוּ הִיא תְּבִיאֵנוּ אֶל מֵי הַיְשׁוּעָה 𝑀𝑖𝑟𝑖𝑎𝑚 𝐻𝑎𝑁𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑎ℎ 𝑜𝑧 𝑣’𝑧𝑖𝑚𝑟𝑎 𝑏’𝑦𝑎𝑑𝑎ℎ (x2) 𝐵𝑖𝑚ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟𝑎 𝑏’𝑦𝑎𝑚𝑒𝑖𝑛𝑢 ℎ𝑖 𝑡𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑒𝑖𝑛𝑢 𝑒𝑙 𝑚𝑒𝑖 ℎ𝑎𝑦𝑒𝑠ℎ𝑢𝑎 (x2) 𝑀𝑖𝑟𝑖𝑎𝑚, 𝑡𝑖𝑟𝑘𝑜𝑑 𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑢 𝑙’ℎ𝑎𝑔𝑑𝑖𝑙 𝑧𝑖𝑚𝑟𝑎𝑡 𝑜𝑙𝑎𝑚 𝑀𝑖𝑟𝑖𝑎𝑚, 𝑡𝑖𝑟𝑘𝑜𝑑 𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑢 𝑙’𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑒𝑖𝑛𝑛 𝑒𝑡 ℎ𝑎𝑜𝑙𝑎𝑚 𝐵𝑖𝑚ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟𝑎 𝑏’𝑦𝑎𝑚𝑒𝑖𝑛𝑢 ℎ𝑖 𝑡𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑒𝑖𝑛𝑢 𝑒𝑙 𝑚𝑒𝑖 ℎ𝑎𝑦𝑒𝑠ℎ𝑢𝑎 (x2) Miriam, the prophetess strength and song are in her hands Soon, and in our time, she will bring us To the waters of redemption Miriam will dance with us to strengthen the world’s song Miriam will dance with us to heal the world Soon, and in our time, she will bring us To the waters of redemption

The Lord Our God Is Holy
1 The Lord is King; let the peoples be in fear: his seat is on the winged ones; let the earth be moved. 2 The Lord is great in Zion; he is high over all the nations. 3 Let them give praise to your name, for it is great and to be feared; holy is he. 4 The king's power is used for righteousness; you give true decisions, judging rightly in the land of Jacob. 5 Give high honour to the Lord our God, worshipping at his feet; holy is he. 6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among those who gave honour to his name; they made prayers to the Lord, and he gave answers to them. 7 His voice came to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept his witness, and the law which he gave them. 8 You gave them an answer, O Lord our God; you took away their sin, though you gave them punishment for their wrongdoing. 9 Give high honour to the Lord our God, worshipping with your faces turned to his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy. — Psalm 99 | Bible in Basic English (BBE) The Bible in Basic English is in the public domain Cross References: Exodus 13:21; Exodus 15:2; Exodus 15:25; Exodus 19:9; Exodus 24:6; Exodus 25:22; Leviticus 19:2; Exodus 32:28; Exodus 32:34; Deuteronomy 28:58; Psalm 11:7; Psalm 17:2; Psalm 22:3; Psalm 34:3; Psalm 48:1; Psalm 95:6; Psalm 97:9; Psalm 100:1; Revelation 19:6

i had too many so no drawing today. instead, i offer a list.
bogan laurance. or, more specifically, bogan meteli. like cmonnn u Cannot tell me that meteli (esp old meteli) is just a standin for small-town new zealand/australia. anyway, they all have aussie/nz accents. laurs is the most obvious bc i think its funny. @shadowqnights @abxolotl this one goes out for you guys <3
on that note, ru'aun's environment is basically new zealand's. especially the sacred forest - it has major nz bush vibes. like.

cmon u Cannot tell me that these were taken in the sacred forest of ru'aun.
anyway. travis gets kept up at night by kiwi screaming at each other (seriously. take a listen.)
also, tu'la is inspired by the roman empire. ill probs elaborate on this in the future.
necromancer cadenza! i've spoken abt this before here if u want to see a bit more :3
irene's cathedral/dimension/whatever is less cathedral and more eldritch labyrinth. specifically, i envision it to be a lot like the theatre of domination from honkai impact 3rd.
garroth gardens in his free time! it's how he grows all the flowers for his flower crowns.
meif'wa are werecats; they can 'tuck in' their ears and tails like werewolves can (but it's generally super uncomfortable, no matter the species), and have a sort of hybrid cat-human form that they can also shift into.
melissa is the first ultima - i sort of got into it in this post, but essentially after mel comes back to find falconclaw destroyed and her siblings, aaron and lilly, dead (to the best of her knowledge - aaron is still alive, however), she strikes a deal with a goat-eyed being to bring them back, but because the fine print was specifically worded to fuck her over, her soul ends up getting fused with the wolf that she sacrifices for the ritual and she gets ultima'd.
also, lilly is now aaron and mel's younger sister. she's a ghost.
juror relics! i hate hate Hate how the jurors never get fleshed out in canon, so i gave them a bit more backstory in ashes, ashes. their powers originally came from smaller, less powerful relics that xavier carved off of his own, but after they get lost, they become figureheads for a long time until about 20-25 years prior to the start of ashes, ashes. there's a bit more on this in my day 20 post, pinky promise.
the generals of the shadow lord's army are called "death knells", and although they lead their own units/squadrons/whatever, their primary purpose is to oppose the divine warriors; including the shadow lord (who opposes irene), there are only ever seven death knells at one time. an example of a death knell is gene, who is intended to oppose kul'zak.
zianna is a witch, although, for most of her life, her abilities were passed off as her having prophetic magicks; these 'magicks' are why she was married off to garte, as the ro'meave line wanted to introduce these magicks into the family. unfortunately, the heir, garroth, didn't inherit his mother's abilities, but her two other children, zane/zuwellyn and vylad, did.
nicole is a half elf from her mum's side; her mum is matilda's sister, making her and levin first cousins. this is based on matilda lowkey looking really similar to nicole. idk i just think its fun.
garte sells out o'khasis to tu'la for more power during s2, thus transferring the jury of nine into the control of the king. it's a whole mess, and in the process, he essentially scapegoats zianna by faking his death.
however, this does make zianna lord of o'khasis. we love a girlboss.
the relics have different effects on their wielders; for example, esmund's relic makes its wielders a lot more physically dense, meaning that they'll sink into softer surfaces like sand and mud. xavier's relic turns its wielders hair red.
consequently, zane has red roots. he dyes his hair black (its natural colour) to hide them.
katelyn has the moniker of "the dragon of o'khasis". the phoenix drop gang mostly assumes that it's because she's ruthless on the battlefield... until she decides that the best course of action is to breathe fire at an opponent uncle iroh-style.
katelyn is also Stupidly superstitious. like. she fully believes in the sweater curse and will Refuse to walk under a ladder even if theres no other available path.
mys!nicole gets forever potioned. this has Consequences for the home gang during the events of s5-s6.
speaking of mys!nicole, her and dante are queerplatonic coparents to dmitri. they had him when they were in uni after a brief fling. he's the street's baby.
anyway i think thats abt it. lmk if u have any questions :3
(ps two days until day 20)
