The Lord Our God Is Holy
1 The Lord is King; let the peoples be in fear: his seat is on the winged ones; let the earth be moved. 2 The Lord is great in Zion; he is high over all the nations. 3 Let them give praise to your name, for it is great and to be feared; holy is he. 4 The king's power is used for righteousness; you give true decisions, judging rightly in the land of Jacob. 5 Give high honour to the Lord our God, worshipping at his feet; holy is he. 6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among those who gave honour to his name; they made prayers to the Lord, and he gave answers to them. 7 His voice came to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept his witness, and the law which he gave them. 8 You gave them an answer, O Lord our God; you took away their sin, though you gave them punishment for their wrongdoing. 9 Give high honour to the Lord our God, worshipping with your faces turned to his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy. — Psalm 99 | Bible in Basic English (BBE) The Bible in Basic English is in the public domain Cross References: Exodus 13:21; Exodus 15:2; Exodus 15:25; Exodus 19:9; Exodus 24:6; Exodus 25:22; Leviticus 19:2; Exodus 32:28; Exodus 32:34; Deuteronomy 28:58; Psalm 11:7; Psalm 17:2; Psalm 22:3; Psalm 34:3; Psalm 48:1; Psalm 95:6; Psalm 97:9; Psalm 100:1; Revelation 19:6

Daily Prayer for September 17, 2024: Psalm 99
Prayer: Our Father in heaven, you alone are holy, and there is no unrighteousness in you. You are the Creator of all things visible and invisible, and you are the infinitely wise God who brings the redemption of poor, helpless sinners to pass. You alone are infinitely gracious and merciful, not treating us as our sins deserve. You alone are great and rule over your church in splendor and majesty.…

PSALMS S.O.A.P. ~ PSALM 99
Tuesday, 12/5/23
SCRIPTURE:
The Lord is great in Zion; He is exalted above all the peoples. Let them praise Your great and awe-inspiring Name. He is holy. The mighty King loves justice. You have established fairness; You have administered justice and righteousness in Jacob. ~ Psalm 99:2-4
OBSERVATION:
His Name is great and awe-inspiring...
He is holy - and boy, am I not...
He loves justice - and yet He gave Jesus instead of what I deserve...
He established fairness -
He administers justice and fairness...
...through His grace - through Jesus...
APPLICATION: (Bringing in verses 5 & 9)
Remember His greatness and awesomeness...
Exalt the Lord our God;
Bow in worship at His footstool...at His holy mountain...
Remember and give thanks for His grace...
PRAYER:
Awe-inspiring Father God - I bow before You confessing my complete lack of holiness and my near complete selfishness in the way I often look at things and act on my thoughts... and despite my selfishness, I am thankful for Your grace that allows me to come before You, seeking Your Holy Spirit's continued patience and guidance to seek Your will instead of my own in everything I say and do... In Jesus's Name, for His coming again in power and glory, and for Your honor and grateful praise...
Thankful for His grace - and for you...

“Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day. Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, For Your words are always with me. I have better understanding and deeper insight than all my teachers [because of Your word], For Your testimonies are my meditation.” —Psalm 119:97-99 (AMP)
“Into the Great Depths of God” By In Touch Ministries:
“We discover the best of God only through first-hand experience.”
“Spiritual discernment is the ability to see things from the Lord’s viewpoint. That means being able not only to separate truth from error but also to grasp the finer distinction between what is good and what is best. But how can we acquire such a skill?
In his classic work “My Utmost for His Highest”, Oswald Chambers gives us the answer. He writes, “Put everything in your life afloat upon God, going out to sea on the great swelling tide of His purpose, and your eyes will be opened. If you believe in Jesus, you are not to spend all your time in the calm waters just inside the harbor, full of joy, but always tied to the dock. You have to get out past the harbor into the great depths of God, and begin to know things for yourself—begin to have spiritual discernment.”
Trusting obedience is the first step to understanding, and it is something only God can bestow on us (1 Corinthians 2:12). However, if we submit to our heavenly Father’s teachings and “cut the lines that tie [us] to the dock” as Chambers encourages, we will be blessed (John 13:16-17). This is God’s desire for us. How could we want anything less?”

Do you have any recommendations for a nonbinary main character who uses they/them pronouns, is gender neutral, and their AGAB is not mentioned? I can't seem to find any books fitting this, and it makes me extremely dysphoric. I don't identify with masc or fem at all, and I can't find any books with a gender neutral nonbinary MC, where their AGAB isn't mentioned or alluded to except for "I Wish You All The Best". Any NB character book I find is either trans masc or trans fem aligned and I just want to read a book about someone like me...
Hi! so this is a little tricky, because I don’t want to guarantee anything 100% without having personally read each one..
that being said! we had decent luck searching for ‘agender’ or ‘ungendered’ instead of only non-binary. here are some options!
A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers (99% sure it'll fit)
Symptoms of Being Human by Jeff Garvin (according to our research, "The book text never uses a gendered pronoun for Riley and never discloses Riley's gender assigned at birth")
The Heartbreak Bakery by A. R. Capetta (agender MC, no pronouns just goes by name Syd, don’t think assigned gender is ever mentioned)
Sphinx by Anne Garréta (trans. from french, does not gender the narrator, or their lover "A***”)
#the second two we’ve got at QLL#the first two we’re hoping to buy soon#there are a few others out there where a character or two fit but are side characters not main
