Biggest folley of Motley and why it got so difficult for me to write was because I kept getting so caught up on trying to represent every aspect of their stories all at once anytime there were on screen, when really I need to remember that they are in fact Just Little Guys

I can't get over the fact that both times the canary and miner curse has taken effect (Jimmy and Mumbo dying one after the other) it has been because of Grian. In Last Life he directly killed first Jimmy for trying to kill him and then Mumbo just a few seconds later for the same reason, and in Secret life they both died because of the Warden which Grian brought to the surface. Directly or indirectly, their deaths were caused by him.

And then you get Wild life, were if Mumbo hadn't decided to spare Jimmy he would have been eliminated first once again, and then Mumbo would have died, both of them to a contraption once more created (in the server) by Grian. We are all talking about canaries and miners in coal mines, but what about the dust that eventually kills them both?

I followed you a WHILE back because I came across one of the Isabell and the Lads chapters and loved it so much even though it was halfway through and I had no idea what was going on, and then duh I got hooked onto Charlie and Felix and boom now i'm here i'm a fan i'm soon to be promoted to an air conditioner at this point.

I think (no i don't think, i KNOW) Deckard is my favourite man to ever exist like... ever, yeah. Felix and Marcus are tied as close seconds (I love ur bb zeke but yk, the three other fine babes are slightly more obnoxious and beautifully flawed and kinda loud and or grumpy which entices me personally).

Charlie is my favourite of the gals but i LOVEEE ISABELL SHE'S SUCH A CUTIEEEE OML STOPPP. And Lark yes ik u said her character felt kinda flat but I LOVE HER WHOLE CONCEPT OKAY. And not even kidding that scene in the garden when she finally got to see Deckard again and starts rambling about how upset she is literally made me tear up like I was not expecting that maybe i'm just in an emotional mood these days... EVERYTHING about Something Unexpected had a CHOKEHOLD on me I fr finished it all so quick no breaks and was on my toes the whole time it was so refreshing. Love me a sarcastic flirty STUPID hottie and a pretty little unfortunately probably traumatized fairy princess. Legit addicted thank you for your service goodnight.

I'm working on more with Deckard and Lark! You might not be able to tell because of how little I've updated their story (I just looked the other day and it's been like 9 months since they've gotten an updated ☠️ oops.) but Deckard is my favorite too. (Felix is a CLOSE second. I guess I like my giants to be .. a bit of a disaster)

I've been playing around with the idea of a rewrite for them. I've mentioned that before probably.. I think if I did that, the stories would end up merging at some point. Most of the substance in the story would be largely the same... I think I just don't like the beginning..? But regardless I do have plans!

gerojim is my favourite character from king-ohger in a scrunkly sense, and the way you draw him makes me unreasonably happy so i wanted to say thank you. and also using dotted lines and lighter text for his speech bubbles is absolutely Inspired

Awwwww thanks so much, doggendoodle!!!!!!✨✨✨ I’m over the moon that people are enjoying my drawings of him. Gerojim and Jeramie are first in my heart (probably quite obvious by my drawing habbits) but learning to draw Gerojim was a hard earned feat and so i felt the need to flex that power as much as possible!!!! I want to see more images of him!!

I’m very excited about his speech bubbles, i played around with wiggly lines too but dashes were faster to draw hahaha! a good balloon design is one of my favorite things so i’m pleased the effort was noted!!!

“You’re awfully excited,” The prefect whispers, eyes wide behind cracked lens.

The taller boy grins, cracked lips stretching to reveal missing teeth; it’s charming, in an off-putting way. The boy tilts his head to the side, his glasses nearly rolling off his nose and revealing his blood-orange eyes. He offers a hand to Dinah.

“How could I not be…?! It’s the most perfect time of the year.” The boy hums dreamily, his voice quiet to match the blond’s. It’s clear that it isn’t his natural volume, and the gentle gesture is appreciated.

Dinah nods shakily, blond locks draping over his glasses; his headband snapped on the way here. Hesitantly, the prefect places his hand in the pale stranger’s, and gets pulled to his feet instantly.

“Don’t tell me you’re not a fan?” The boy’s words flutter down to Dinah, and the ramshackle prefect realizes just how vastly different their heights are. Dinah cranes his head upwards, the cool metal rims of his glasses press against his face; they provide little solace in his new environment.

“I…” Dinah isn’t quite sure where to begin. This is supposed to be his first Halloween in Twisted Wonderland, a hauntingly exciting day to spend with friends and acquaintances. And yet, here he stands with moonlight as the only familiarity.

Dinah shakes his head, not minding that his hand is still in the stranger’s hold. “I’m worried, this year…?” His words are choppy—he’s had Halloween before back at home, right? “I’m… Alone, right now. Scared, to be honest.”

"Scared?"

His smile is warm but odd; Dinah has never seen this face before.

The boy presses his glasses up his face, hiding his eyes once more. His fingertips drift to his chest as he leans down, placing a kiss upon Dinah's gloved hand.

"Your fear is most appreciated, a true harbinger of the Halloween spirit...!"

"Yet," his voice drops, and he shifts his hand in Dinah's until their palms are flush. "The fear you hold isn't quite right."

"Won't you allow me to twist it to perfection?"
