Thinks  abt  Ace's  handwriting.  I  think  it's  awful,  not  unreadable  but  very  crooked,  not  neat  and  the  way  he  holds  a  pen  is  against  anything  how  a  normal  person  would  hold  it.  Simply,  I  think  that  Ace  had  really  no  interest  in  developing  any  writing  style  because  it  wasn't  his  worry  as  he  was  growing  up.  When  Garp  put  him  under  the  care  of  Dadan  it's  not  like  Ace  had  any  lessons  that  kids  would  get  in  some  sort  of  a  school.  

He  was  self  taught  and  frankly  as  a  child  he  didn't  care  much.  Dadan  could  only  teach  him  so  much  when  Ace  was  constantly  in  a  deep  form  of  inner  anger  and  bitterness  when  everyone  would  treat  him  like  a  walking  disaster,  an  evil  being,  a  demon  and  it  wasn't  his  fault  to  begin  with. He just wasn't a cooperative kid and prefered to do things on his own.

I  very  much  believe  that  Ace  was  trying  to  teach  himself  things  like  handwriting,  handycraft  or  natural  life  skills  but  he  was  doing  it  only  alone and he was a child so he had limited knowledge too.  He  didn't  feel  welcomed  by  others  but  Sabo  when  they  both  grew  to  the  idea  to  be  pirates.  Ace  was  constantly  away  from  the  village  itself  too  to  spend  time  with  his  best  friend  -  himself  and  even  then  that  friend  could  very  well  deceive  him  sometimes.  While  writing  Ace's  hands  shake  a  lot  and  he  has  so  much  trouble  with  writing  letters  that  aren't  super  crooked  and  nasty  looking.
