Dany goes to the North

Let's assume that one day Winter will arrive in the ASOIAF Westeros and Dany will have to go North to assist with The Long Night (before or after taking care of Cersei/the scramble for the Iron Throne idk).

I had a lot of fun designing a Winter outfit for Dany. Incorporating furs, recognizable jewelry, a combination of the blinding whites and deep Targaryen red/purples. Especially because I knew I could layer up sooooo much fabric and fur XD. She must be so cold in this new extreme-opposite climate.

Is it just my imagination or did House of the Dragon change the moment of Addam saving Alyn from a dangerous larger dragon in the Sowing of the Dragonseeds to give the moment to Hugh Hammer instead? He is now the person who boldly saves someone else.

Yeah, that got changed. Tbh, a lot of Addam's story was given to other characters. It wasn't just this moment with Hugh. Addam was the one who finally secured the allegiance of house Tully in the book but that was given to Daemon in the show. Addam's method of using a dragon as a means of a subtle threat to gain the support of a Riverlands house was given to Jace. Parts of Addam's personality/relationship with Corlys is being given to Alyn.

Like I said before, the show just plays mix-and-match with all the characters.

Y’all know when Mulan is sitting in the rain and watches her parents silhouette disappear as the candle is blown out and then her eyes squint in determination and the music that starts to play and you see her go into the family temple and light a match and bow in respect and then sneak into her parents room and switch the scroll for her hair brooch and then the way her reflection is shown as she pulls the sword and cuts her hair?? It’s literally more iconic than any marvel movie

HOUSE OF THE DRAGON (2022—) Rhaenyra Targaryen + Season 2 Hair Appreciation

It was Jaehaerys blatantly flouting the “law” that made Viserys a contender for the throne in the first place. By all Westerosi succession customs, Rhaenys was Jaehaerys’ heir after Aemon died. Jaehaerys disagreed with the established Westerosi succession custom of daughters before their father’s brother and named Baelon his heir. It was at that point that the Iron Throne was clearly NOT beholden to Westerosi succession customs.

Jaehaerys then doubled down on the Iron Throne not being beholden to Westerosi custom and set up the Great Council of 101. He literally went against actual thousands of years of established succession custom. He broke tradition and made it clear that the Iron Throne doesn’t have to play by the rules of the rest of the country. TG faulting Viserys for doing the same exact thing is asinine, and it’s even more so when claiming that Aegon was the heir over Rhaenyra by citing the same rules that had been broken which gave Viserys the throne in the first place.

What comes from this is the clear precedent that a monarch is within their right to choose their heir, even when it goes against Westerosi custom. If that’s not true then Viserys unlawfully took the throne and neither Rhaenyra nor Aegon are the rightful monarch after Viserys’ death because the throne rightfully belonged to Rhaenys all along. If a monarch does have the right to name his heir then Rhaenyra is the rightful monarch. In either case, Aegon II is a usurper because he pressed his subordinate claim over the superior one(s).
