Okay TO CLARIFY:

The original Dream SMP server is still completely fine! The only change to the server as we know it is that there are new caves under the bedrock level.

There is a portal that can take players to a brand new, separate 1.18 world to play on if they want. So far, Foolish, Tubbo, Eret, Philza and Ranboo have come to the new world. They agreed not to bring any items over from the old world and Tubbo seems very determined that this will be a "fresh start".

Lore-wise, all the lore that takes place in the original server is fine! It will still be happening and has not been disrupted at all, and the original server will still be played on. This stream seemed to be very much not canon, based on the way the streamers were acting; I cant speak for them on that front but it seems fairly safe to assume that if there IS going to be lore about the new world, this stream was not it/didn't include it.
