Past two projects really were mid in comparison to Life's Not Out To Get You. The Peace and The Panic being better than All Distortions imo bc of many of its tracks, but I remember hearing Heartbreak Of The Century when it dropped and being as flabbergasted as I was when FOB dropped Love From The Otherside-only difference is that the album didn't come out as being v mid to me when it dropped. S/T is literally how you make a bomb ass pop punk album.

Arriving home from late patrol, Chase drove into the garage wet, muddy, cold, and exhausted.

As soon as Chief Burns got out and said goodnight, the policebot went to the washracks for a rinse. He finished drying off and collapsed on the couch in the main living area. He’d meant to work on a few reports, but ended up falling into recharge.

Flicker had gone to berth early, but he'd had trouble staying in recharge. Every hour or so he woke up, listened closely if the familiar sound of tires had awakened him and then closed his optics again, knowing fully well he couldn't rest peacefully before Chase was back home.

Eventually Flicker woke up once again and checked the time. He decided he'd tried long enough, coming to the conclusion that he could rest in the main living area while waiting.

Flicker made his way to the living room and, much to his surprise and relief, the policebot was already in there. The young bot sat down on the couch, carefully settling into what little room was left while trying not to awaken the other.

"Welcome home," he whispered with a soft smile.

"Come ooooon, Nick! Don't you have any faith in your trusty old assistant?"

The mischievous smile and teasing tone of one Maya Fey probably don't offer Phoenix much reassurance, but as far as she's concerned, he should be long since used to this by now. It's not like they're doing anything wrong - well, no-one's getting hurt, and that's really all that matters, right? Besides, she knows he's curious too. There's no getting past the perception of a spirit medium in training!

The locked door in front of them remains standing there, practically inviting them in, and Maya nudges Phoenix in the side with a playful grin.

"It's just a little breaking and entering, that's all! No big deal, right?"

Astro With A Child Reader!

Aaaaa, so cute!! I feel like Astro would be the type of main to be so gentle and patient with children. Here you go, dear anon! Thank you for requesting! <3

-Anna

-Astro always has this cool yet calm energy around him, it's something unique about him and it really does capture the attention of kids. They love seeing his star hands or witnessing his magic and that. You were no different, always in awe when he would just grab his food and take a bite out of it. How was he even controlling the stars? How did they grip things? How is everyone unfazed by it?!

-Your curiosity would get the best of you as you kept following Astro around just to witness some of that cool stuff. He barely would notice you, his eyes half closed as he took slow steps, clutching his trusty blanket on his body. It was when you saw him like that you knew he would be sleeping soon and you retreated back sneakily. While you didn't get noticed by Astro much, others would watch with confusion as you followed the tired and sleepy main around.

-Someone had to tell him that he was being followed around by you and they watched as Astro blinked twice and his eye widened a little. Oh.. he never really noticed, he must have been tired. The next time he was walking around, he turned around and caught you, watching as you made some excuse before running away. Astro told you to please stop and if you wanted to see more of his magic. This would shyly got you to walk up to him, a silent yes as you played with your hands. Astro just smiled warmly.

-He would never be really mad nor mind if you wanted to see what things he can do with it. Your reactions would get him smiling as he was literally doing the most simple things yet you thought it was the coolest thing ever! Sometimes he would even give you something from his room for you to observe and play with while he slept for many hours. He has a lot of space themed things in there, some of these items are so pretty to witness!

-Astro definitely greets you every time he sees you, always asking you if you want to see anything more of his magic. You two had grown closer as you felt comfortable walking up to him now and tugging at his blanket gently or calling up to him, he can always spare you some time! Don't be shy or worry, he doesn't mind keeping you some company. Hell, even if you don't understand all the complicated things, you still like hearing Astro talking about space, the stars and everything.

-Astro really has a soft voice, while yes, it can sound tired and sleepy here and there, it still remains soft and it's something that makes you feel calm. He likes reading you materials and break them down for you in simple words so you can understand and be in awe, it's something that makes him laugh softly, you really are invested, aren't you? It feels really nice. You like hugging one of his softest pillows and a blanket around you as you listen. He is not even using his power yet you still feel sleepy and that from him talking about it.

-Never worry during the night! If you have trouble sleeping, Astro is always there to lull you back to sleep, especially since you are a child, you really need the rest. He can find wholesome fairytales and read them out to you, maybe even get you some warm milk or he can always use his power as he rests his non-star hand on your forehead gently. He always asks and lets you chose yourself, he is not the type to just force his power on others, after all. He can also use his power and leave temporary little stars in the room as light or glow softly himself as he reassures you that everything is okay and he is here.

-He definitely also gives you the best pillows and blankets that have your preference, he has a lot so don't worry about asking him! He can also give you his own pillow and blanket for the night as he stays awake making sure everyone's dreams are okay. You are one of the few where you have seen the four arms under his blanket, he prefers to keep them hidden but he doesn't mind using a spare blanket for now or stay close to you for the night and focus his attention on giving good and happy dreams.

-Speaking of dreams, he likes giving you space themed ones or ones related to your interests. The stars and everything inside of these dreams are so beautiful that it makes you jump from joy, wanting to see more and more. As for your interests, he remembers things you have told him and tries putting them in your dream. It makes him smile when the next morning, you run up to him as you excitedly ramble about what you saw and how cool it was!

-Astro is someone who cares about you a lot and makes sure to watch out for you, especially your dreams, he never wants you to get any nightmares or something shocking. You are a young kid, after all. While in the daytime, he might not hang out with you as much because he is taking naps, he can always make time for you and make sure you are doing well in general. He finds it wholesome that you look up to him so much, he just hopes he can never disappoint you.

I'll give ya some bumbleblades and a little extra because you deserve it for bringing my love of this ship back from the dead! <3 Bumblebee doesn't tell Fix-it because he knows it might hurt his feelings but he likes it more when Blades goes over his maintenances. Not because he does a better job but Blades has impeccable eyes for detail. Any stray rocks or grit or smaller scrapes he'll fuss over and adjust until he approves of the final results. One time Bee had fallen asleep while Blades was helping him clean his door wings, he woke up later with them feeling the best they ever had in millennia.

Blades will honestly do this for anyone he cares about but obviously Bee will get the full spa treatment if he asks. Strongarm, Grimlock, and even Fix-it loves it when Blades fusses over them as well because he just knows what to do to get that one little itch to stop or help this area go from 'eh it's fine' to 'I feel like I could punch Unicron'! Sideswipe has tried in vain to get this 'legendary' treatment but Blades forever remembers the spray painting incident they had when they first met on Griffon Rock so bare minimum for him it is.

I unlocked the front door of the flat that I’m sharing with my boyfriend, Bucky. I sat my purse on a small table in our hallway and closed the door behind me. I toed off my shoes and kicked them under the table next to Bucky’s.

When I walked into our living room I could see Bucky sitting on the sofa, his back facing me. He was looking into his lap and I could see he was holding something. I stretched my arms over my head while walking over to him.

I hugged him from behind and kissed his temple. “Hey, baby.” I closed my eyes and snuggled into his neck. He smelled like aftershave and old books.

He placed his left hand on mine arms that were resting on his chest and caressed them. “Hi, doll.” He turned his head and kissed my forehead making me hum. “How was your day?” He asked.

I groaned and hugged him tighter. “Exhausting.”

His thumb was making circles on my skin trying to make me feel better. He knows I prefer not to talk about work.

We were like this for few more minutes until I pulled back. “I’m going to change into something more comfortable.” I said and ruffled his hair. He just nodded and I bet he also rolled his eyes.

I walked into our bedroom and opened my side of our closet and looked into the shelve where I keep the comfy clothes. I took out some cream coloured sweatpants and one of Bucky’s shirts that I stole from him. I put it on and threw the old clothes into a laundry basket. I took off my jewellery and placed it into a tiny box where I keep all of it.

Before I went to the living room, I went to our kitchen. I took a glass out of a cabinet and poured water into it. Meanwhile I heard Bucky whine and shout out my name. “Come here!”

I rolled my eyes and I took a sip of my drink. When I got to the living room I placed the glass on the coffee table that was in front of the sofa and looked at him. “What?” I put my hands on my hips.

He looked at me with the ‘puppy eyes and pouty lips’ face. “I need help with my phone.” He finally said and showed me his phone screen with the gallery app opened. “Will you help me, doll?”

I raised my eyebrows and shook my head at him. “Only if you say the magic word.” I grinned.

He rolled his eyes but did how I said anyway. “Please?”

I nodded and was about to sit next to him but he pulled me into his lap by my waist, I was sitting with my right side facing him. “Bucky!” I laughed slightly.

He chuckled and laid his head on my shoulder. “What? I want you close. I missed you all day.” He peppered my shoulder and neck with small kisses.

My right hand snaked around his shoulder and into his hair, I brushed them with my fingers and pulled his head away from me so I could look him into his eyes. His blue orbs stared at me with a smile on his pink lips. I returned it with a grin and pecked his nose. Then his cheeks and forehead, by the time I was about to kiss him on the lips we were both giggling and blushing. He put the phone next to him on the sofa and grappled my left cheek. His thumb stroked my skin before he dipped his head down and finally kissed me. It was short kiss but it was sweet and full of love that we poured into it.

He pulled away first but it wasn’t enough for me, I followed his lips and he chuckled. I kissed him again, he grabbed me tighter. We were connected until we ran out of breath and were forced to pull away. We were panting and smiling like two idiots.

“I missed you too, handsome.” I finally opened my eyes after a while and bit my bottom lip. He looked so good, I wished I could kiss and cherish him forever.

He looked at me with smile. “So, will you help me? Please?”

I nodded. “Of course.” He handed me his phone and I took it from him. “What’s the problem?”

He laid his head on my shoulder again and circled his arms around my waist. “Where do I find the pictures I deleted?” He squeezed me and pulled me closer, if that’s even possible - I was practically laying on him.

I rested my head on his. “I already showed you two days ago.”

He shrugged and mumbled. “I forgot.”

I rolled my eyes sat him, he definitely didn’t forget. He never does. “If you wanted me close to you, you could have just asked me.” I shook my head with chuckle. “You didn’t have to make up some lie, baby.”

He hummed and squeezed me again. “I’m not lying.” He insisted.

I snorted. “And I’m the president.”

He pinched me into my side and mumbled something again. “Stop making fun of me.”

I winced and smacked his hand. “Stop pinching me.”

He pinched me again.

I gasped playfully and lifted my head of his. I turned off the phone and threw it on the sofa next to us. “Okay, then I’m not helping you.” I crossed my arms over my chest, sat straight up and turned my head from him so I wouldn’t give into the puppy face.

He groaned and pulled me closer again. “Noo.” He whined and softly grabbed my jaw. He tried to turn my head but I moved out of his grasp. He grabbed my jaw again and this time I let him do as he wanted but I closed my eyes. “Look at me.” He pleaded

I shook my head ‘no’ and bit my bottom lip to stop myself from smiling. He pinched me again. “Look at me or I won’t stop.” And again.

I slowly opened my eyes to find the blue lakes staring into my soul. “Then admit you’re lying.” I tilted my head to my right.

He just stared at me. “I’m not lying.” He insisted again with a roll of his eyes but I could see right through the act.

I shrugged my shoulders and tried to get off of his lap. He just pulled me back into him. “Where do you think you’re going?” He asked me.

I didn’t answer him and tried again. “I asked you a question.” He pinched me again.

I slowly turned my head in his direction and glared at him. “Pinch one more time and you’re sleeping on the sofa for a week straight.”

All he did was laugh at my treat. He threw his head behind him and closed his eyes. He did a mistake though. He loosed his grip on me.

I quickly stood up and ran out of the room. “Hey!” I heard him shout out, my name following it.

I could hear him stand up and run after me. I have to hide somewhere. “We both know I will catch you!” I ran into our bed room and looked around. Where could I hide? I looked around again and that when I saw the closet. Before I could even open it, his armes snaked around my middle part. He lifted me off the ground making me yelp and scream. “Bucky!” He chuckled and turned us around to the bed. He walked towards it and threw me onto it. I yelped again and glared at him.

He got on the bed on all four and slowly approached me with a grin on his handsome face. He got on top of me and squinted his eyes. Before I could ask him what is he planning on doing, he laid down on me with his whole weight. I gasped because I wasn’t expecting it but hugged him anyway.

He snuggled into the crook of my neck. I could feel him place soft kiss on my skin. His breath tickled me causing me to giggle. I closed my eyes and let the sweet moment to sink in. It’s rare when we have time for each other, but when we do, it’s worth everything.

I put my hand into his hair and brush my fingers through it. “You’re like weighted blanket.” I scratched onto his scalp and it made him purr like cat. He looked so adorable I couldn’t resist him.

I turned my head towards him and kissed the crown of his head. “I love you.” I mumbled.

He smiled agains my neck and kissed the skin again. “I love you more, doll.”

I shook my head. “Not possible.”

He mumbled something about not agreeing with me but he didn’t even finish his sentences before he fell asleep.

He held me tight even in his sleep, I continued to play with his hair until the sleep took over me too.

and when they finally arrive at the manor, he stops. he stops and stares at the moving doll beside their customer that mysteriously looks too much like his doll who's in the box.

"Chill out, enjoy yourself!" Your bubbly attitude makes his usually stern expression melt into a genuine smile, and your heart flutters at the sight. Aeons, he was gorgeous. Suddenly, another exhibit caught your attention and you turned swiftly.

"Dan Heng honey, look at this!" You walked towards what had piqued your interest, pointed excitedly at the exhibit in front of you. You pulled out your phone to snap a photo, freeing your hand from Dan Hengs while doing so. Your boyfriend came up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist and grinning sweetly as you flipped your phone camera to take a selfie of the two of you. His eyes followed yours in pure adoration, and your dark-haired lover smiled dorkishly into the camera. You took the picture, staring at your happy faces reflecting on the screen.

"This way!" you turn suddenly, looking at the next item that caught your interest. Dan Heng followed your steps, and reached out to take your hand once again. Your fingers laced together perfectly, his hands practically engulfing yours as he watched you admire the art in fromt of you.

"Your more beautiful than anything in here", he whispered softly. He said it so quietly you almost didn't hear him, and your cheeks warmed at the compliment. You turned and pressed a kiss to his cheek, giddy from getting to spend a wonderful day with your boyfriend.

“Hey, watch out!” 

A metal discus is being blown through the wind, the cause being Jungkook who’s training on the hero’s side of the stadium. You can only stare wide-eyed, focusing on Jungkook’s arms, still poised mid-air from the throw. The discus is shiny and looks like it’s barely moving from the amount of speed Jungkook has curved onto it, but you close your eyes and push your hands out towards the hurling force. 

Bing! 

You feel the heavy hunk pass through your void, a wink in time that has you feeling dizzy as you try to refocus the exit portal. The speed is what gets you, and has you immediately sweating from your forehead as you force the object to rip back into the current dimension, the discus landing right at Jungkook’s feet. 

“That—was great!” Namjoon teleports right in your face, mouth huge with praise. He is grabbing your shoulders, shaking you frantically in his excitement. “Wow, did you see how fast that thing was going? Maybe it was a fight or flight response—obviously, Jungkook would’ve cut your neck open—” 

“Great visual, Namjoon—” 

“But you teleported it! Aren’t you proud?” 

There’s no time to be proud when Jungkook is bounding across the field to meet you in the sidekick section. It causes all the other Superhero Supports to stop a fraction in their training, wondering how this conversation will go. Namjoon continues to stick by you however, knowing how absolutely abysmal you are in the presence of the famed hero. Having talked to Jungkook once or twice in class, Namjoon begrudgingly understands what’s so charming about the guy. 

You’re too focused on the gilded appearance Jungkook brings to the stadium. His blond hair gleams in the sun, and the lightweight metal that protects his arms wraps around his muscles like liquid gold. He’s absolutely blinding. 

“We meet again,” Jungkook grins, “are you okay?” 

“I-I’m sorry?” you fight the urge to wince when Namjoon pinches your waist. 

“You’re a teleporter, right? Your reaction time was insane!” Jungkook is smiling at you, prattling off your stats with a fervor you fail to understand. “Maybe they can bump you up to Hero-Class next exam, I’m sure you’re not far from the cutoff.” 

“No, actually. I’m just trying to stay afloat,” you force a shaky laugh, running a hand through your hair, “thanks though.” 

“I’ll put in a good word to Professor Luna,” Jungkook winks, turning away to return to his training session. 

“Jungkook’s right,” Namjoon squeezes your body again, trying to keep you in this dimension. “Your reaction time was insane. Can you imagine the power you’ll have when you finally gain control? Let’s go to the shooting range right now, test it out!” 

“Oh my god, he talked to me,” you whisper to yourself, replaying the conversation over and over in your head. Namjoon is but a spirit in your vision. 

“I mean, he had to. Like I said, he almost decapitated you,” he waves a hand in front of your face, “c’mon, stop thinking about Jungkook!”

“You're asking for the impossible, Joonie,” you frown, picking up your backpack. 

You take one step at a time, still feeling numb from the interaction. Namjoon insists that you should ride off this high, and train a little more. The only high you’re focusing on is the beating of your heart, and Jungkook’s gleaming grin.

How they react to a partner doing THEIR hair:

Lucas: A little mischievous about it! Wonders if they think he's getting too old to do his own hair. Regardless, he'd let them do it and thank them afterwards by making sweets ^^

Njero: His hair is messy and unruly, not even hours of brushing can help it stay in one place. Honestly, he'd just wish them luck if they wanted to do his hair 😩

Leumin: ECSTATIC- he loves having his partner's hands in his hair, scratching and rubbing his scalp, playing with the colored strands. He'll more than likely ask his partner to do his hair for him when he's in a particularly needy mood (which is about 80% of the time for this loser)

Flores: My God, good luck. Flo's hair is Rapunzel levels of long, and just as thick. Luckily, his hair doesn't tangle easily, but it does take... Hours... To brush it all. It gets even heavier when he has to wash it. He usually does it alone, though his children do offer to help! If his partner wanted to help as well, he'd be more than delighted ^^

Mikka: His hair is also pretty long, and it does get easily tangled, so he'd need help getting it untangled! He's grateful for any help that keeps him from just cutting his hair out of frustration. Funnily enough, it's very silky.

Vivian: Another long-haired man in need of some assistance! His hair isn't nearly as long as Flo's, but it's long enough to cause problems if it isn't taken care of properly. Like Leu, he'll be ecstatic and purring if his partner wanted to do his hair for him! He'll have to lower himself down into a pool of his own tail so they can reach his head, though.

Lucas: He has absolutely no knowledge of haircare that doesn't apply to his own, so he'd have to study up a bit on his partner's hair type and other haircare tips so he can do a good job for them. Lucas doesn't half-ass anything, babey!

How they react to doing their PARTNER'S hair:

Njero: Like Luc, Njero isn't about half-assing anything. He's going to do his research before offering to help his partner with their hair. Funnily enough, he would really enjoy it. The meticulousness of it and being able to use his hands for something not related to magic (sure, he could just use magic and do their hair quickly, but he'd rather sit with his partner through the whole process)

Leumin: A haircare extraordinaire! You need conditioner, coloring, high quality shampoo? Leu's got you covered. His hair is very thick and messy, but he has a lot of brushes and combs to help out with that, which he wouldn't mind lending to his partner! I think he really would enjoy brushing or combing out his partner's hair 😌

Flores: Like Leu, he's a haircare extraordinaire, since he's so used to doing his own and taking care of it. He also has a lot of haircare products (in the human world, and the fairy world). He could also just use magic to do his partner's hair, and he would if that's what they prefer! He'd like to wash their hair and massage their scalp for them, though 💚

Mikka: He doesn't really keep that many haircare products, just the necessities to maintain his hair. But if his partner expressed the desire to have him do their hair, he'd go out and buy whatever they needed immediately. Even if their hair is long or a hassle to deal with, Mikka won't mind! He's got tentacles, he can multitask 😌

Vivian: He'd fall deeper in love with them, honestly. "You want... Me to do your hair..? Of course, dearest!!" Vivi sees it as some sort of bonding ritual, and an act of trust. If they trust him enough to be vulnerable around him, then he'll return the favor by doing his best to take care of their beautiful hair! If they wanted, he'd even give them little braids, like the ones he has ^^

Tonight, you and Shiver were checking the mail, seeing which events you were invited to and which ones you actually wanted to go to (as famous celebrities do).

"Anything interesting on your end?" Shiver asked, leaning on your shoulder and looking over it. You held up an invitation to a convention that its creators would like you to attend. It was in super fancy, almost unintelligible writing, but you were able to get a gist of it all. "It says (F/N) ploose-oh-ney."

".. Eh? What did you say there?"

You shifted to face her properly, trying to make sense of the words signed on the bottom. "Ploose-oh-ney. That's what it looks like it says." Shiver asks to see the invite, and you hand it to her. She looks puzzled as she attempts to decrypt the fancy writing.

After a moment, she lets out an audible 'oh!' and hands the invitation back to you. "It says 'plus one'." You take the fancy letter back and put it close to your face. "Really?" It took you a while to see it.

"The fancy writing didn't help with that, to be honest." Shiver admitted. You looked up at her and set the invitation down in your lap. "Well, if we do ever go to that special event.."

You grinned from ear to ear and leaned on her. "I would love for you to be my ploose-oh-ney."

Shiver couldn't help but turn a bright inky red at the comment. Believe it or not, she gets flustered really easily. She hides behind her fan and begins to aggressively fan herself. "A-ah! Thank you, (N/N). Now, I, uh.. I think it'd be best if we kept searching just in case we find anything better!"

You shrugged and set the note aside, creating a 'good pile' and completely oblivious to what you had done to your poor lover.

ALSO! I was wondering what kind of accents Wade and Peter had? Ofc they are country but are there any specific things we should be picturing like maybe Peter having a slight Spanish accent? I know it was pointed out in the recent chapter that Wade’s accent was a bit different (Also as a mex-American I genuinely screamed that Peter is just like me)

aaaaa great question, and thank you for the asks 🫶 I am loving them. Especially of this fic cz I’m obsessed w it! I’m really happy that you find rep in Peter!! That’s so great!!!

Wade has a “rumbly” voice that sounds like he’s swallowed sand, essentially. It’s rough and grating, like he’s been punched in the throat, because his scarring extends to his vocal cords. Honestly, I can imagine that it hurts when he talks for so long (just as his scarring is a source of chronic pain), so that his excessive rambling can literally be classified as a form of self-punishment. It is also, unfortunately, an objectively sexy voice, it just says such stupid things that nobody recognizes it as such and it becomes annoying, instead. He does have an accent! He has a Canadian accent, spent a while completely mute, currently adopts (see: fakes) a Southern accent, which it why it sounds so strange overall. Just overall unidentifiable.

Peter. Does not have a sexy voice. Peter sounds ANNOYING. He could be making a very logical point, but it just either sounds like he’s being condescending or whiney, so it’s easy to tune it out. He is Mexican, and Spanish is his first language despite having been constantly encouraged to speak English in order to avoid discrimination: he raises the pitch of his voice in a bizzare attempt to sound more white, which doesn't really work. The lower pitch (but still high mind you) he adopts as Web-Slinger is actually his real voice, he doesn’t try to hide his accent in it or dress up the way he speaks through forced vocabulary (the way he speaks in the lab). In general, you can undeniably hear his accent in the rolling of his “r”’s; he speaks in a faster pace compared to a Castilian Spanish accent, final consonants are either dropped or unreleased, with the final syllables of a sentence stressed.
