@noble-kale @dannyketch Sorry that it took me a while to get back to you about this. I wanted to respond earlier, but got busy >.<

In any case, the more I think about it, the more I think that you might be onto something here! When they're introduced to the new season, we see both Harley and Harvey in relation to music- Harley is singing Dark Purple Dawn, and Two-Face is shooting at musicians for singing songs with too many ugly numbers in them. When Harley gets herself some goons, she gets two of them at the same time- similar to how Two-Face always hires twins. Both start off in pretty low places (Harley trying to plan her suicide and Harvey probably being at his lowest, his compulsions still being especially bad lately on top of him being stressed out over doing legal work for the Penguin), but over the course of the season reach some level of maladaptive euphoria (Harley by chasing after the Joker and starting to do crime, Harvey by doing drugs). Harvey starts seeing a psychiatrist while Harley is a psychologist (even if she doesn't remember it too well). There are parallels happening here, and they seem to be happening in contrasting directions.

And now I can't help but to wonder where they're going with this... Is this supposed to be building up to some sort of confrontation between Harley and Harvey? Though honestly, it's making me want to see them becoming friends tbh lol. I would LOVE to see like... Batman and the Joker are fighting, meanwhile Harley and Harvey are just sitting it out, chatting in the background. Harvey definitely needs to see a psychologist that isn't the Scarecrow, and Harley certainly couldn't go wrong with getting some friendly guidance and advice... And she can't do much better than asking the #2 kingpin in Gotham for advice with criming! They've both been through a lot lately and some of it's the same kinds of things, so it would be nice for them to just have a nice chat where they become friends. u.u

But if these parallels are intentional, since we know that this storyline has to end with Harley and Joker getting together in some capacity, if Bruce and Harvey don't get together in some capacity that would be severely disappointing. >.< I swear to Arceus, the writers had better make this happen!

Okay, I admit it... I DESPERATELY want Bruce and Harvey to kiss and become a couple in Batman: the Audio Adventures. Like, not as a fun fan thing- an idea I can play with in my own head as much as I like while acknowledging that it would never happen within the actual work. I want this to become canon.

Like... Is Batman: the Audio Adventures gay baiting us...? At what point does something go from gay baiting to actual canon representation? The Joker literally told Batman to be his or else. The Joker for all intents and purposes asked Batman to love him. The Joker made a love potion that we know works and tried to dump Batman into a vat of the stuff to make Batman love him. But Batman refused, and the Joker failed to get Batman to love him. Do we read this as the Joker legitimately being interested in men romantically, or since the Joker was never going to actually be in a relationship with Batman, do we read this as a gay baiting villainous scheme?

I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for now and to say that they aren't being cruel assholes towards the LGBT community by so carelessly and gleefully gay baiting us, and that we are supposed to be reading into this with the idea that the Joker actually wanted to be in a romantic relationship with Batman. But with that in mind, given what happens in season 2, how can you read the relationship between Bruce and Harvey as anything other than deeply romantic...? Bruce wasn't interested in the Joker because he had someone else on his mind...

So if we are supposed to be reading into the romance between Bruce and Harvey... I really REALLY don't want the writers to back out of this! I HATE will they won't they relationships, and if one idea with Batman is under explored, it's him being in a long-term, committed, and happy relationship. It's fine if Bruce and Harvey get together and it doesn't work out. But if they don't let Bruce and Harvey get together until the series ends or something, I will fully consider the writers of this show to be COWARDS! But also, I will say that Bruce and Harvey getting into a relationship could make the Audio Adventures the most entertaining Batman continuity as the Joker gets jealous of Two-Face winning the bat's heart over him, and the Penguin getting jealous over Batman kidnapping the man he wanted to spend the rest of his life with! It would be an absolutely incredible love shape, and I absolutely want to see it! It's a love that would do HILARIOUS things to the Gotham underworld and cause SUCH a great upheaval! I want to see this SO badly, man!
