wait so. i just remembered something from the first timeline…i think…

wasn’t what sudden shower/sonaki was about common knowledge within the eclipse fandom? doesn’t he talk about it in some show or something? like what inspired it? i vaguely remember everything clicking together in sol’s mind when she puts the pieces together when younger sunjae describes to her the day he first met her

all this to say:

sunjae knew sol didn’t remember meeting him. he knew she would never guess the song was about her and he was comfortable (in a very sad way) enough to openly talk about who the song is about, describing the events leading up to the song’s creation

or did he do that hoping that sol would one day miraculously remember him and figure it all out and find her way to him?? while he patiently waited for her?

or was he always adamant about including that song in their performances because even if she wasn’t aware that the song was about her, he still felt like it was the last connection he had to her? the only way he can reach out and let her know she was never alone in this world? that it’s been 16 years and his heart still belonged to her even if he was clueless to it? that it would always belong to her no matter what, even if the song is no longer from the latest album, even if it was no longer charting #1 in the charts?
