A/N: It's not too general!! I wanted an excuse to write more Reagan lover fics ahjksdhfshdf- If this fic is a little too thrown together I wrote this at like 1 am helpppp- I hope you enjoy!!

You had an embarrassing secret, one that was making it so difficult to get any work done. You had the most giant crush on your boss, and it made it so that you couldn't even be around her.

"So what do you think about it, [Y/n]-"

You jump at the mention of your name, letting out a small squeak of surprise, and flip your head up to see some very worried faces.

Jesus, now you must look like a weirdo to them. Not that they could judge you cause they were a bunch of weirdos, but still, you couldn't help but feel embarrassed at your lack of awareness today.

"Sorry, sorry, didn't sleep well last night." You half-lie. Well. It was more of a truth than a lie. You couldn't sleep, but it wasn't for insomnia-related reasons or anything. It was because you were thinking about her again. You were almost at that point where you felt like a school kid with a very innocent crush on their best friend.

"Huh. Well, I can't say I blame you, but you have to pay attention, this next mission is kind-" You drown out her words as they just all now sound the same, but continue to nod along.

She was stunning. Sure she was covered in coffee stains, probably hadn't showered for a reasonable amount of time, and her hair was a complete mess but hell, you were in love with her.

"Ughhhh-" You quietly groan. You had early thought about telling her how you felt, so that maybe after she rejected you things could go back to normal, but it was so nerve-wracking. You didn't want to be the cause of ruining your relationship with her altogether.

In your train of thought, you hadn't noticed that everyone was now done for the day, and they all knew either cleaning up to leave or loudly chatting with each other.

Everyone but Reagan though.

She was standing right next to you.

You jump in your seat, and turn your head to her, trying your best to hide the noise that caught in your throat.

"Can I talk to you real fast? Like in my lab if you don't mind."

You had never really been in her lab before- well, alone with her anyway. The thought of being alone with her drove your heartbeat almost immediately up the wall.

"Sure, m' not busy." You get up and follow her, praying to whatever God was listening that this wouldn't be the end of you.

"What's up? I figured I'd ask, try to check in on you now that I'm officially your boss now." Reagan snorts, pouring herself a cup of coffee, before passing you a fresh one.

You take it gratefully and sigh, leaning yourself against the wall, "I don't know. Intrusive thoughts I guess. It's not really a big deal, I just need get over it."

Reagan raises an eyebrow and takes a sip of her coffee like she was waiting for you to talk more.

"It's nothing really. You don't have to worry about it."

She clears her throat and snorts at your statement. "That's bullshit. [Y/n] I've known you for a long time now, I can tell when something is actually wrong. You can talk to me, I'm not going to judge you like other people would."

Talking to her was one thing, sure, but telling her that you liked her? Yeah, a whole nother thing. Grr. Why is relationship shit so hard?

Was this the universe's way of it trying to prompt you to tell her? Cause it felt like the universe was trying to peer pressure you because you felt your resolve crumble around you.

"Er, yeah you're right." You set your cup down, but you seemingly can't make eye contact with her, it was sorta hard to find the courage to look her in the eyes. "It's well, I was wondering-"

"Mhm?"

"Didyouwanttogooutsometime?" You slur your words together, wincing at what a fool you just made yourself out to be.

"Uh, sorry?" Reagan blinks and you can see the apparent confusion on her face.

Oh god, you had to repeat yourself- C'mon Reagan.

"I was, was wondering if you wanted to go out sometime? Like, on a date?" You wince again, the words rushing out of your mouth.

There was a silence that filled the lab, and you could feel a pit growing in your stomach, making it churn.

Only after what felt like an eternity did Reagan finally open her mouth, "A date? I, with me? I mean sure- I didn't really think you saw me like that.... Like, hol.. holy shit."

You blink and look up to her, and even though you let out a giggle, out of everything you could have responded with, "Uh for a brilliant scientist, sometimes you're a little clueless."

"Yeah, I guess I am." She smiles at you, and you manage to meet her gaze.

Jesus, her smile was really pretty.

"Would tomorrow work? We can go grab dinner. There's this Italian place I've been wanting to try." She says after finally looking away from you, and you had to squint, but you thought you could see the tiniest bit of red on her cheeks.

"Yeah! I'd.... I'd love that." You finish your coffee and hand the cup back to her, "Thanks for uh, agreeing to go out with me, and thanks for the coffee."

She rolls her eyes at the part, but smiles, "Anytime."

5 Things I Wish I Had Added To My Baby Registry-- And 5 Things I Wish I Hadn't

One of the FIRST things I did as soon as I found out I was pregnant, I RAN (not walked) to several different sites and immediately started on my baby registry. I googled checklists, pinned examples, and asked my mom friends every question I could think of. Luckily for me, I had a few other mom friends and an older cousin that had just given birth who I inundated with questions and hypotheticals. After a few weeks of meticulous planning, I was ready to share my perfected list with my family and friends.

5 Things I Wish I Had Added

Diapers of EVERY size. While I was pregnant, I kept hearing “stock up on diapers now!” So in my pregnant nesting craze I got 500-something diapers in the (N) newborn size. Let’s do some math here. My daughter was in size (N) diapers for about a month and a half before we needed size (1). Assuming she used about 8 diapers per day (some days she used more and some days less, I'm sure) for 45 days, that's a mere 360 diapers. We were left with over 200 something unused size (N) diapers!! Instead, I wish I had asked for about 100-200 diapers in EACH size. That way, you have a few to start off with and you can just buy small boxes once you use up that first initial batch.

Cold weather clothes. Now maybe this is just because we live in the Deep South where it gets ACTUALLY cold (below 50 degrees) maybe 2 to 2 ½ months out of the year, but I had almost no cold weather clothes. I had stocked up tons of newborn onesies, expecting her to be in those for months, HA, how wrong I was. Instead, I should’ve been stocking up on more cold weather clothes to prepare for those colder months. Get a variety of sizes since it will be colder for longer periods of time depending on where you live. (If you live up north, don’t forget your warm weather clothes!)

Rechargeable batteries. Now bare with me on this one, it seems like a silly thing for a baby registry but kids toys go through batteries FAST! Especially when that one bouncer seat or one song that toys plays, seems to be the only thing that will soothe the baby! Put AA and AAA rechargeable batteries on your list (don’t forget your charger!) and thank me later.

Bath toys. I was so busy buying our little girl books and toys that I completely forgot about bath time toys! Get your little one something waterproof to occupy them during bath time. There’s all sorts of squeeze toys, floating toys, washable tub crayons, the options are endless. Once they get a little bit older, they will need something to distract them to keep bath time smooth sailing and fuss free.

Socks. I reasoned with myself while pregnant saying “Well she won’t leave the house much, what do we need socks for?” and in hindsight, I really wish I had stocked up on more socks. I’ll be honest with you now. Those cute little shoes you can't wait for your baby to wear? They won’t last much longer than the few seconds it takes you to snap your instagram worthy baby OOTD pic. Specifically get fuzzy socks for warmth for 0-3 months, and socks with little grippy pads on the bottom for crawling/walking/climbing for 3-12 months.

5 Things I Wish I Would've Left Off

Humidifier. We live in the Deep South where it is humid almost all year round. I had read a bunch of baby blogs saying you DEFINITELY need a humidifier on your registry without taking our weather into account. Looking back, I wish I would have added a DEhumidifier instead of a humidifier.

Baby Stroller Bag. I got an extra bag that attaches to the handles of our stroller to carry extra stuff while out and about. I realized after purchasing that we honestly didn’t need that much storage. Our stroller already had a compartment in the bottom, two cup holders, and storage between them. The extra bag just ended up getting in the way and weighing the stroller down.

Bath Thermometer. I was extremely overly paranoid of making AJ’s bath too hot and scalding my poor baby so I asked for a baby bath thermometer on my registry. I used it about twice before realizing I had a twenty-something-dollar rubber ducky she was never going to use. If your baby’s skin turns pink and they're sweating, turn the temp down. Simple as that! Who woulda thought?

About seven different brands of bottles. I kept hearing you need to let your baby try multiple different brands of baby bottles to see which one they would like. This becomes difficult once you realize each brand has its own independent system of nipples. It became confusing trying to remember which level nipple she needed on which bottle. Start out with one brand and if the baby wont take to the nipple, then try another. This will save you a lot of headache later!

Portable Pacifier Sanitizer. The idea seemed great in theory, but it was super heavy and took up a lot of space in the diaper bag. Instead, I’d carry around two or three pacifiers and if one fell on the ground, I'd move it to a separate pocket, pull out a clean one, and keep on trucking.

It might take you weeks to come up with the perfect registry, and hopefully my small bit of insight will help you make those final tweaks to your list. Use some common sense and don’t let your nesting take over, and you’ll come out ahead and without regrets!

Oh No, Not Another Rey Mysterio Deserves Better Rant!

Probably what you're thinking but considering how my last one was January it was pretty alarming.

Spoilers for MITB 2021

So despite a good match, the Mysterios lost the titles they only really defended against the Usos at about 2 months, and it annoyed me. Which is unsurprising but also commonplace in a PPV that squashed Kofi in another World Title match, saw Charlotte beat Rhea again (storytelling bloating and sucking all investment of Rhea getting her win back so that Flair could win a 14th title) and saw Nikki ASH win MITB despite being the sillier character and probably the least popular babyface in a pile of Asuka, Naomi and Liv.

It was practically a similar finish to SD's 6-man tag with the Usos cheating and frankly I don't see why it happened. Usos as a tag team are great for sure but now who do they face? The wealth of babyface teams like...oh that's right there are none on SD. Sure the image of the Bloodline in gold is a visual - though one that feels like a Xerox of another company's big time world champion and heel brothers tag champions - but what does it serve in the now? The Usos will face nobody or just rematch with the Mysterios again as side characters, and Rey Mysterio should not be a side character.

Leading into the crux of my point. Rey Mysterio has been working in the business since he was 14, in 1989. His career spans across 5 decades and he's still going, not just part time going he is still going on a regular basis. Even when he wasn't in WWE he didn't stop, he went to the indies, to AAA, to Lucha Underground (people talking about him vs Ricochet like they didn't put on a banger at Ultima Lucha), to All In, to even NJPW. Legends of the business and highly respected wrestlers have praised Rey on countless times and yet he's in this spot where he's WWE's pin cushion, taking losses and being flattened by Otis or ragdolled by Roman for cheap heat.

A 2 month tag reign with his son and a Universal title match only looks good on paper but considering that over the last year Rey has in kayfabe been thrown off a building, had his eye ripped out, watched his son be beaten up by whoever looks at him funny because they know Rey's pledge of vengeance doesn't actually come back round to them and then spent a lot of the time taking pins and losing clean on consecutive weeks to Corbin, and it doesn't look so great. Even his tag reign was merely a tool for Roman's story, and when we had a small chance of establishing a big-name feud between Rey and Roman we didn't even give them time to build, in fact they made their tiny build even shorter because they didn't let them do it on the freaking PPV, and then after all that they made him tap out - because vengeance means nothing - in what was up till then a great HIAC match, before Rey and his son again played understudy and then ends up being pinned and losing the tag belts to the brother who was done for another DUI, but goes unpunished because WWE's 'plan' exceeds health and safety.

At this point I do have to wonder what Rey has to do to warrant the same respect others that came at the same time as him did. I mean, Edge and Cena are great wrestlers but why do they get the instant world title shot and months of build? They show up for a few weeks after sitting pretty at home for months or in Lesnar and Goldberg's case years while Rey is wrestling week by week putting other guys over? And when he gets his turn it's just filler, that objectively feels backwards. What, does Rey have to be a part timer just to get some brain cells put into his booking? If he wasn't doing his damnedest to give his son the best training and support he can he could be in another company tearing it up on a higher level, and it hurts that people seriously take him for granted.

I mean he's 46, he's older than AJ, older than Jeff, older than Cena, older than Brock and he's still moving like that. Even with all the damage the job has done on his knees as well, and he still has the fans' hearts, imagine being this consistently over and not thinking that he's a legend? Someone worth using higher up on the card. The tag reign would've been good if they had a longer run at it and some more valid opponents but WWE don't really give two shits about tag teams anymore, so the Smackdown Six member gets scraps while all his 6 foot buddies get big money programs.

It just, infuriates me you know? We don't know how much longer it'll be until Rey hangs up his mask, have we considered what wrestling would be without him? Some of the most athletic talent in the world man and woman have Rey's career to thank for inspiring them, for breaking the barriers to allow them to reach the coveted brass ring. It feels like Rey could be doing a lot more in his late career, I mean there is so much he could be doing right now, granted he could still go into his 50s like Jericho, Big Show, Mark Henry, Dustin Rhodes, Liger etc. did but you never know.

WWE, of all the things you've been messing up on as of recent - and there are a lot - your creative laziness towards Rey is extremely damning and wasteful, the man is an icon, treat him as such.

part of what the party's currently working on includes scouting for invasive flowers escaped from the wastemarsh (magical wasteland in the northeast), so thi's looking for those first so they can uproot and burn them. more generally though, thi likes bigger bowl shaped flowers (good for bees because there's a place for them to land while they get at the nectar) or any plant they haven't seen before.
