His name on her lips was all it took. Whatever that witch had done to cloak their bond and foster doubt had melted away as easily as the spring sun claims a frost. “Elain,” he breathed. Her next step did not falter and the moment she closed the space between them he took her in his arms, letting his sword clatter to the stone beneath them at last. Ten years. A decade behind them and the feel of her—that delicate, intoxicating scent too—hadn’t changed one bit. “My Elain.”

“Ten years,” she gasped. “Nearly eleven. Our son—”

“A wonder I never dreamed of. He is wonderful, Elain. And you…” Every inch of her trembled against him, one hand steady over his thundering heart as the other rose to cup his face. “On the nights I dared to dream, my love, all I could see was you.”

“I singed a few laces,” he purred, ripping through the weakened garment in a single motion. “You can keep pretending you actually care or you can let me take you to bed and fulfill every filthy promise I made on that dance floor.”

Manwhore AU headcanon

I like to believe Manwhore Ody got home shortly after the war ended because he didn't have to deal with any of the bullshit that canon Ody has to deal with.

Like imagine: if only he seduced his way out of the whole Polyphemus situation, he wouldn't have pissed off Poseidon, meaning he would've got home pretty much immediately.

I'm not even saying he had to fuck Poly (he'd die), but he could've used his babygirl looks or something. Be like "I'm sorry about your sheep, pookie *bats eyelashes*", but no. He just had to abandon all reason and blind the cyclops before telling him his full legal name and address.
