Dp x dc twin au where Danny and Damian were in fact conjoined/siamese twins, but the most dangerous type - one head, two bodies.

Their early removal from talia being because their shape would not have allowed for natural birth, they were written off but talia begged for the chance to send them off in the lazarus pit.

By some bizarre miracle, before she turned to leave, two small bodies bobbed to the surface - identical in every way, except for the eyes. The previous blue eyes now split in two, one left, one right, and the new eyes, pit created, a bright green.

She took her child, her two children, and together, they survived.

Being removed prematurely, their early years were tough, but soon they blossomed into promising heirs for the league. In sync with every step, the closest of brothers, the league was certain the old fairy tale of twins being telepathic had been granted by the pit that separated them, the remnants of being born as one mind, one brain, one skull.

But then Danny had to flee, and leave his other half behind. Stretched by distance for the first time, the bond grew thin and stretched, and Damian grieved his brother as dead. When he started being sent on public missions, he hid his distinctive heterochromia, choosing the green in memory of the pit that had given him and his brother life.

Danny, hiding his pit aura in the ocean's worth that was Amity park, took to blue, the colour that he and Damian were born with.

Damian moves to Gotham, and continues to mourn his brother as dead, right until one day when he is twelve, when he learns what the death of your other half truly feels like.

Their reunion is a thing of family legend. Violence runs hot in both bloodlines, ghosts are highly emotional and prone to fighting a the drop of a hat for bonding, playing, testing, every reason under the green sun. Their training and play often consisted of friendly spars, competitive spars, furious spars, venting spars. Both have been exposed to unhealthy amounts of ecto since before their birth.

There is a long, long minute of staring, before they rip themselves away and lunge at each other like wolves.

The bat family are horrified by their brutally efficient youngest suddenly barreling towards a clone (?) and trying to claw his throat open with his bare hands while openly sobbing.

It ends with them wrapped around each other crying into the others shoulder as their minds finally meet again and relax from the painful stretch for the first time in years.

But nobody else has any idea what to do.

Thinking abt Steve and Robin, Robin and Steve, two people who look so alike, who act so alike, who are basically siblings, who could actually be twins separated at birth if not for the age gap

(let's ignore that gap, or claim Steve skipped a grade cause he was a 'gifted' child that stopped being 'gifted' as he grew up in that typical neurodivergent experience kinda way).

Imagine it, Robin Buckley, an accidental pregnancy from a romp in the back of a VW, imagine if the Buckleys had twins but could only manage to take care of one, putting up the other for adoption because no matter how much they love the little bean, they can't afford two.

Now imagine The Harringtons, rich and influential and desperate for a child of their own (even if it eventually turns out that they'd never be completely ready to be parents) but... maybe something was wrong. maybe Mrs Harrington couldn't, or Mr Harrington was shooting a few too many blanks to make it work and no matter how many times they try... it just doesnt happen for them.

And then this little boy is born to a couple in Hawkins, a surprise extra alongside their little girl. A deal quickly struck, the Harringtons pay for everything, all the medical bills, and give the Buckleys enough to get them started with a house and enough money to start a college fund for their little girl, as long as they get the little boy before he's adopted by someone else.

And then one day, shortly after the mall burns down, Robin brings home this boy who she claims saved her life. This impossibly beautiful boy, covered from head to toe in pretty little moles and big, beautiful hazel eyes like Mrs Buckley, with Mr Buckleys strong jaw and broad shoulders.

Their little boy has come home, and it takes everything they have to not pull him into their arms and into their home all at once, so it happens gradually, he's invited to dinners, to holidays, he's welcome to stay the night, he has first dibs on the guest room, even has clothes in the closet there, he and Robin are inseparable, they're siblings, without a shadow of a doubt they're siblings. they found each other despite everything.

They might tell him, or they might not, it doesnt really matter.

Their little boy is home, and he's GOING to get all the love he missed out on even if it kills them.

PART TWO

Part one (OMG I FIGURED OUT HOW TO DO THE LINK THING WITH WORDS LMAO)

Anyways people want context so here it is:

Separation at birth AU (name is a work in progress) where Filbrick Really didn't want twins and lies to Caryn saying that only one of the twins made it out. Here he decides to keep Stanford because he thinks that maybe he can use his deformity (having 6 fingers) as an attraction, especially considering his wife is a psychic. So Stanley is given away and Filbrick is the only one who knows about this. Until now. so a couple of things:

Stanley: Despite him always being portrayed as being a people person and very charismatic, which he is when he wants to be, he was actually a loner as a kid since he struggled a lot in school (dyslexia). Without Stanford, Stanley had no one to help him out academically, not to mention his "adoptive" parents were quite neglectful resulting in him feeling like an outcast and even joining a biker gang during his early teenage years (13-14). Until he met Fiddleford Mcgucket, his only real friend (and more) who helped him which lead to him actually realizing that he was actually very intelligent. Which ends up with both of them going to West Coast because of it (both as engineers, Fidds for computers and Stan as a Mechanic) (also Stan does have glasses but he either refuses to wear them or just wears contacts.)

Stanford: Has a role much like Gideon, where basically he is some sort of psychic and is called the Psychic Sixir (yes spelt like that) and becomes a rather famous tourist attraction for the Pines, even resulting in getting a couple of commercials. Unfortunately, he hated the role he had to play. Yeah he was famous but he was a social outcast especially with his peers. His only sanctuary were books and an old boat he found in the beach. Ford is still very smart, and while he had always dreamed of sailing away on that boat he found and repaired growing up, it was far too lonely and his parents (specifically Filbrick) would never allow him to, so his best choice was leaving to a high leagues school. And here we are

- both are beautiful af and use that as an advantage to get what they want (and both are shocked when that doesn't work with Maomao and Luffy)

- neither of them feel attraction for people swooning over them

i keep thinking about how in 1610 miles was p much haunted and followed by the number 42 (thanks to that one tumblr post, yknow the one) after his spider bite.

the bus seating capacity, the numbers that fell off into the streets after miles crashed into them, all those tiny lil details that followed him throughout his journey to becoming Spiderman

and i also wonder if miles42 was also haunted by numbers like 1610. maybe his neighbor down the block's address is 1610. maybe the dorm room capacity at visions is 161. maybe he always gets up at 6:10 am to get ready for the day....

More Separation at Birth Au

This is going to be some info on the twins during the ages of birth- 13 years old

Stanley: A few minutes after he was born Filbrick had somehow managed to take baby Stan out to the couple who had struck a deal with, tricking not only the hospital staff that they were legally adopting Stan but that his wife had consented. Afterwards while Caryn was still coming to her senses and she was told by Filbrick that only one of that twins has made it out.“Adopted” into the Birch family who resided in Jersey during his first year of life, later moved Florida, then New Mexico, continued to Arizona, and finally Tennessee. He’s an only child and unfortunately because of how much his family was moving he wasn’t actually capable of making friends, not to mention having undiagnosed dyslexia for 12+ years made it much more difficult to fit in, especially without anyone to help him. His parents often neglected him due to work which resulted in him constantly acting out in school. When he was in Tennessee (14yrs old)he met this gang of bikers, one who was named Jimmy Snakes(who was 17). Thinking Jimmy was his friend he let him brand him with a tattoo on his shoulder (wink wink) and even got a couple of piercing. All in all it was a horrible decision and he got involved in some messed up stuff (stan x trunk is real) which lead him to have to run away from home where met FIDDLEFORD! (Now I’ll expand more on this tomorrow when I have more art)

Stanford: Born as the second child, Stanford is the son of Caryn and Fildbrick, youngest brother to Shermie pines. When he was young he was seen as an anomaly for having 6 functional fingers on each hand and being very academically advanced. When he was around five his father gifted him an amulet that allowed him to see into the future and even read people’s mind! By 6 years old he was known around his neighborhood as the “all seeing kid” but by 8 he was most commonly known as “Psychic Sixir”. His father had convinced him to basically give out readings, saying that it was his extra fingers that made him special enough . That it allowed him to be able to connect to the amulet and use its powers and if he did this he would be a hero to his family. And while at first he was delighted with the idea of helping his loving father and mother, he was lonely. Sure there was Shermie but he was way older, not to mention not even living at home. Not only that but the amulet took away all of his energy, constantly worsening his health and even turning his hair white in places. He was shunned by his peers and his only salvation was an of boat that he found on the beach when he was 13.
