Fanon Tim, a mysterious super smart hacker bro on the same level of Oracle, who’s also unhinged, caffeine dependent, morally grey, negative rizz, lowkey has the highest body count of all the bats, and is a badass: and I will watch the crimson blood, leak from you neck
Canon Tim, loser skater boy who plays DnD in his spare time, nap addicted, pulls hella bitches, strict moral code with the bad habit of seeing only black and white, and is also a major badass: woah, that kid is hardcore goth
If I had a nickel for every time a quirky latino guy was fused with a piece of world ending technology that took over his body not very with his consent I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but its weird that it happened twice
Doom at Your Service: he need to hold her hand every day before midnight to recharge her so she won't feel pain from her brain tumor.
My Demon: he need to hold her wrist to use his power since his tattoo (the source of his power) is now on her wrist. Ergo, if he doesn't hold her wrist, he cannot access his demon power.
So, these 2 dramas have similar vibes, but different mechanism on how this holding hand/wrist works. And believe me, I ache for BOTH.
Shuake partner dance: Full of symbolism. Takes place where Akechi dies. Shows the tragic nature of his and Akiren’s relationship and the way they never got the chance to come to an understanding until it was too late.
it’s so interesting to me to compare Wylan and Jespers relationship in the show vs in the books, because while they are fundamentally different, at their cores they are the same.
like yes, everything about them storyline wise is changed. but you can look at that first on screen kiss and tell me that it doesn’t SCREAM “This was the kiss he’d been waiting for. It was a gunshot. It was prairie fire. It was the spin of Makker’s Wheel. Jesper felt the pounding of his heart—or was it Wylan’s?—like a stampede in his chest, and the only thought in his head was a happy, startled, Oh.” Because you can tell that’s what’s going through Jes’s head. It’s so evidently clear that he’s sooo far gone.
Also show Wylan buying Jesper stroopwaffels is such a book Wylan thing to do.
And we really get to see the development of Wylans personality in the show, same as the book. He goes from this sort of shy kid who doesn’t have a clue what’s going on to this badass motherfucker with an attitude, and it really shows in the way he talks to Jesper at some points. Like in the beginning he’s all shy, but as time goes on he’s all “Well, technically you are older than last time.” and stuff like that. it’s not as prominent as in the books, but you can still feel it.
Also, show Jesper going “my man!” when Wylan throws that bomb is such a thing for him to do. like come on.
so yes, they aren’t the same. but they’re still Wylan and Jesper, and that didn’t change. Because if you could see book Jesper, his smile when he sees Wy would be exactly the same.
Oblivious green-eyed blonde with insane amounts of power and villain dad X dark haired fighter girl with secret identity and red accents associated with an animal. Such a good ship dynamic.
the thing about trapper is that he jokes about being a freak but really he's just a friend-shaped guy. and the thing about bj is that he looks like a friend-shaped guy but he's actually a freak.
