Can I have some cute random facts about the skeleton brothers?
Sure can!
Undertale Sans - Sans is the one who sneaked the annoying dog into the house Underground. He figured that when Papyrus is a little sad, the dog always managed to cheer him up, or, well, annoy him enough so he doesn't think about what's making him sad anymore.
Undertale Papyrus - When Undyne and Alphys had their first kid, Papyrus played the nanny so they could both sleep the first night as he could see they were both really exhausted. He ends up being the child's godfather as well and he would die for his niece/nephew.
Underswap Sans - He participated in a beauty contest for fun with Alphys in the first month he reached the Surface and won. He's still sleeping with his trophy to this day, he's actually very proud of it (mostly because Alphys didn't win anything and her jealous face will not make him laugh).
Underswap Papyrus - He didn't know how to swim and so he was sad when he found himself all alone during the first monster trip to the beach while everyone was having fun. So Asgore picked him up and carried him on his back so he could enjoy the sea like the others. He even taught him the basics in a swimming pool when they got home and Honey is so thankful for it as he discovered he actually really likes that.
Underfell Sans - He couldn't be a dinosaur kid Underground, but I can promise you that the second he got on the Surface, he fell madly in love with the giant reptiles to the point of squealing in joy every time he saw a toy representing a dinosaur he doesn't have. He has a very impressive collection of them now. Edge took him to a dinosaur museum for his birthday. After that, it became impossible to make Red shut up for two months. It's still his favorite place on Earth and he's going there at least once a month.
Underfell Papyrus - That time, completely drunk, when he confessed to Undyne that she was his best friend and that he didn't know what he'd do without her. Of course, the next morning, the face entirely red, he screamed at her she imagined the whole thing and to leave him alone, despite her recording of the scene on her phone. But yeah, he turns a lot softer once drunk and Undyne is so amused by this that she's going to torment him for two months.
Horrortale Sans - Since Toriel's eyesight became pretty terrible over the years, once a week, Oak comes to her place to read books to her. It's a nice routine they have from Underground after he got his skull smashed as reading was helping Oak's memory. He struggled on a lot of words and she helped him through his lecture. Now he's doing it only to entertain her, mainly because it hurts him so much to notice Toriel is aging. She became his whole world through the years and he's not sure he could bear losing her. So he cherishes any small moment he has with her.
Horrortale Papyrus - He's working as a volunteer in an old people retirement home and even if he's not supposed to, he loves taking the three old ladies he's taking care of to the movie theater or to the restaurant just so they can have fun for a few hours. They're all acting like they're on a super secret mission and it's always a nice time. He kidnapped them next Gyftmas to celebrate at his place because no one should be without a family at that time.
Swapfell Sans - He loves being massaged to the point he becomes completely limp in his S/O's arms. It's actually one of the very rare moments you'll see him fully relaxed and/or deep asleep, as Nox usually never lowers his guard. That pretty much means he feels very safe around you, which is literally a confession that he trusts you with his life. You're a lucky one.
Swapfell Papyrus - The first time Nox took him to an attraction park once they arrived on the Surface is where Rus actually called him brother again for the first time in almost twenty years. Now that's something they do every year, to remind each other that despite everything that happened, they're still here for each other. Rus can tell it's Nox's way to apologize for the childhood Rus never really had and he's actually glad. Even though it's also a good excuse to get his revenge once a year by dragging his brother to a fantom train just to watch him scream with terror the whole time, without being able to complain because Rus will guilt-trip him otherwise lmao.
Fellswap Gold Sans - He tried makeup for the first time on the Surface and now he has a little bit of an addiction on his hands. He can spend hours in the cosmetics shops, just trying everything to see what looks good on him. He's actually so known in these shops the seller usually keeps all the new things in a corner so he can try them when he comes.
Fellswap Gold Papyrus - Since he doesn't like to talk to the seller in the shops, he usually sends his brother or his S/O to buy things for him. But since they often mess up and don't pick what he wants, now he's coming along, just hiding behind them and silently pointing at the things he wants with puppy eyes. Now that he has a little more confidence he's just doing it with anything he wants and that is not planned. Just staring intensely so someone notices him and buys it lol. He's poor, please say yes :(

Since you guys loved the TADC birthday headcanons post we made a while back, we decided to make a small list of other headcanons we have for the circus members! Enjoy! -💡
* Gangle ships BunnyDoll (Jax x Ragatha) and Showtime (Pomni x Caine), hence the “figurine thing” mentioned in episode 2 and why Jax wanted to tell Ragatha SPECIFICALLY
* Ragatha is a massive fan of music boxes/kalimbas and will fall asleep to a song played on those instruments. She also occasionally plays a xylophone if she finds one lying around the circus
* If Jax had a superpower, he'd have electricity
* Ragatha is a neat freak, and got the habit when she first entered the circus and noticed how Kinger would often make a mess or two
* Zooble collects fidget toys and keychains. Nobody is fighting with me on this.
* Pomni used to be a mathlete and even became Valedictorian before joining the circus
* Pomni speaks Italian, and Ragatha speaks French (both used to do it for funsies)
* Zooble absolutely ADORES hydro dipping and tie-dye!! Gangle was the one that got them into it
* Jax is a proud gamer and got a high score of around 28,000 in Tetris once, which he takes pride in. Pomni tries to beat that record every single day to “humble him”
* Zooble and Kinger, oddly enough, share a common interest in dinosaurs and the rainforest. Zooble loves the brightly colored plants, and Kinger loves the insects/animals that reside in it
* Jax has a collection of firecrackers. Oh, and prank toys.
* Ragatha is kinda superstitious…she keeps whatever 4 leaf clovers she can find, and also wears evil eye jewelry to ward off Jax evil spirits/bad luck
* Pomni is a fan of heavy metal. But doesn’t mind listening to pop/country every once in a while
* Gangle owns a sticker collection and keeps it in a safe so Jax won’t be able to get to it
* Ragatha owns one of those old rotary telephones in a light pink color
* Ragatha, Pomni, Zooble and Gangle all have a soft spot for Squishmallows. Kinger doesn’t know what they are and Jax doesn’t give two shits at this point
* Kaufmo and Jax used to be BFFs and used to secretly play pirates in Kaufmo's bedroom. Jax still keeps the fake swords they used and luckily, his secret is safe. For now.
* Jax's favorite game is Grand Theft Auto
* Ragatha plays Animal Crossing sometimes, but she mostly loves farming games and those puzzle games
* Pomni likes mind games and you will often find Sudoku, Crossword and Wordsearch books in her room
* Zooble dreams of traveling the world
* Kinger's favorite flavor of gummies is cola. Reminds him of insects and…someone else…but he can’t really put his finger on it
* Caine is a dog person
There you go! 23 headcanons, so let us know if you want more! :) -💡

Paul will sometimes take you to the park with him to birdwatch, armed with binoculars and identification books

Ringo shares with you his love for percussion, showing you how to use instruments like air guitars and cardboard drums to perform for your friends at lunchtime
the two of you spend countless afternoons playing soccer with your friends in the neighborhood streets, Ringo showcasing his impressive footwork as you cheer him on from the sidelines (and even join in when you're feeling bold)
you're avid comic book fans, spending hours together trading your favorite issues and debating over who would win in a battle between your favorite superheroes
on temperate evenings you'll pitch a tent in Ringo's backyard and stay up all night telling ghost stories, roasting marshmallows over a makeshift campfire, and counting the stars

Friend and I had lunch and here's some of the stuff we discussed *here's another really long headcanon that spawned from this day*
Price is just a bad driver, he makes his passengers fear for their lives. Ghost is bad because he was simply never taught properly. Soap drives like the girlies: hits a curb and just "oops". Gaz is the best driver, and not just compared to them. He's genuinely a good driver.
Ghost is the standard for the team's mental stability. That's a very low bar.
Gaz has only sisters and uses his privileges as the only son to his advantage.
Gaz is a secret nerd. He has a dice collection, collects cool/rare designs for traditional game cards, once cosplayed as his tiefling bard character during a convention. Pictures of it exist somewhere and were really good.
Soap has a niece that is very into FNAF and so he knows all the things. He also has very strong opinions about the lore and whatnot.
Tommy was a dinosaur kid, Simon was willing to listen to Tommy ramble about dinosaurs. *inspired by me seeing a little dinosaur figurine and, in a gremlin voice, going "dinosaur!"*
Ghost loves to journal. It's part of what helped him with his recovery after losing his family and everything that happened.
An addition to before, Ghost never got true therapy. He just read a lot of self-improvement books and did like mental help guide journals for a couple of years. When approached about how he had to "therapy" himself, he simply states "like I've done my whole life"
Soap actually feels awful when people gift him nice art supplies cause he has a really bad habit of breaking pencils/pens/markers and losing sketchpads/having them be damaged. Part of it is he tends to forget which ones are the expensive ones and will pack whatever he finds.

Stranger Falls AU 10
Excerpt from Journal 3:
All my grandnephew’s fears are unfounded. All I feel towards him is love and pride. He is a wiser man at twelve thirteen than I was at thirty. He has an incredible future ahead of him, his mother would’ve been so proud.
Speaking of parents, I learned from Stanley that Dipper and Mabel are adopted, and that their parents had tried to keep it a secret from them in order to protect their “innocence”. I do wonder about their biological mother, Terry Ives. That poor woman, I hope she didn’t feel any pain in her final moments.
Looking back on my own catastrophic mistakes, I realize one great pattern in all my follies. I thought being a great man meant being alone. Apart from the crowd. I bristled at the idea of sharing my accomplishments with anyone. I shunned my brother for one dumb mistake, and I shunned Fiddleford for having the sense to try to stop me from dooming the world. Even when I was given a second chance, I still held others at a distance. If I had been able to widen my circle of trust… if I had just told everyone about the prophecy sooner… we might have gathered everyone together and banished Bill before he was able to strike. I just couldn't get over the idea of myself as the lone hero… and it was Stanley who paid the price.
"Trust No One"
What an absurd and paranoid idea. Trust shouldn't be given unconditionally, but it should be given a chance to be earned. There is strength in having the humility to work with and sacrifice for others- a strength I now realize was in my brother all along.
Stanley Pines was the man who saved the world, not me. I spent so long thinking he was a selfish jerk, and he turned out to be the most selfless man I've ever met in any dimension. If I'm totally honest, I must admit that he's a hero and I'm… a hero's brother. And I'm okay with that. Thank goodness he is recovering his wonderfully twisted mind. And I vow to spend the rest of my days making things right between us…If only he gives me a chance. . . .
It is a beautiful summer day. Everyone is packing for their respective futures, but I have found my mind drifting to how lovely the cloudless sky looks beneath the August sun. I've spent too long with my head in a book; it's time to look at the world- and people- around me once more.
But what to do with these journals? They've been created, destroyed, lost, found, buried, and burned, and yet, somehow, despite everything, they remain here like a curse I cannot escape. I had suggested to Dipper that because of all the misfortune caused by them, we burn them in the last campfire of the summer. Mabel, Soos, & Stan all seemed very excited by this notion. But Dipper had a better idea: we burn all my Bill Cipher artifacts instead. So we did. My scrolls, carpets, window… everything I'd ever collected with Bill went into the fire. We made s'mores and told stories until sunrise. It was Mabel who ultimately came up with the best solution of what to do with the journals….
And so here we are at the Bottomless Pit, a mystery of Gravity Falls that I still have never fully solved. Based on my investigations, tossing these journals inside could land them just about anywhere. They may end up in the center of the Earth, being devoured by a subterranean dinosaur, or in another dimension, or somehow in the hands of another curious young mind whose adventure has just begun… perhaps someone who will find secrets in this book that were hidden even from me…
And that brings us to you, dear reader. If you are holding this book in your hands, you hold something more than a record of the curious happenings of a town called Gravity Falls. You hold a record of one man's folly and the journey of his family who saved him from himself. It's never too late to learn that growing old doesn't have to mean growing up.
Stay curious, stay weird, stay kind, and don't let anyone ever tell you you aren't smart or brave or worthy enough. If you have come on these adventures with us, then you are an honorary member of the Pines family, and your adventure starts today.
And if anyone ever gets in your way- well, we have an entire section on Curses. Have at it. For the last time, unless we meet in some distant world, this is Stanford Pines, signing off.

Finding out from my mom that I spoke full sentences at 10 months old and then adding that to all my other memories of being young just feels like a punch to the gut
When I first self dxd autism I knew that my experiences from age 10 up were consistent with autism diagnostic criteria but I only had a very vague understanding of how my early childhood was affected. Like I knew that I behaved the same way but I didn't have any specific examples and at first my mom didn't believe me either, so she wasn't much help. I honestly believed that I must not have presented autism in an obvious way, since it was missed in my childhood.
But since then I've realized/learned several things:
I was speaking in full sentences at 10 months old. Typically that isn't supposed to happen until age 3 or 4.
I spoke incessantly. All the time. To the point where my mom still jokes that they had to "train me to stop talking" (what exactly that entailed I have no idea???)
Throughout my life including early childhood people have asked me to slow down when talking or remarked on how fast I spoke
In my childhood and pretty much through out my life pre-depresion, people would remark on how good my memory was. Especially in my early childhood (4-8 years old) I would get comments like this ALL THE TIME, I just remembered literally everything?
I taught myself to read at age 4. Because I wanted to read the same storybook over and over again for a period of over a week at least, and my caregivers were sick of reading it to me and started saying no when I asked. So I said "fine, I'll just read it to myself." I was reading at a 3rd grade level at least. by the time i was 5. When I was 5 or 6, I read The Secret Garden, unabridged. I remember this because I was really into tinkerbell at the time, it had just come out. TSG was my mom's copy of the book from her childhood and I had to confess to her that I had fallen asleep while reading and the paperback cover had fallen off in my bed.
Despite making my way through the book pretty quickly, I did not understand a lick of the meaning. I just took down the sequence of events.
I often sat down and arranged stones or blocks or my dollhouse elements by category, size, or color. I would also spend times trying to make sure the chains on the swinger were perfectly aligned.
I watched Finding Nemo maybe 30 times when I was 1-3 years old. Like I would beg my parents to start it over again immediately after it finished. At the time my parents owned a wall projector instead of a TV, so big picture. I suspect now that I was seeking out a visual stim because I still find that movie delightful.
Also forgot to mention, we lived in Japan when I was 1-2.5 and I started learning Japanese?? I don't remember it but according to my parents I was already using some Japanese words by the time we returned to the US. And I had learned to use chopsticks.
Dinosaur. Arms.
Picky eating that was explicitly known to be a texture issue. Nobody thought to analyze this further.
When I was 6 or so I was exposed to plush blankets for the first time. It became my dream to own one. I bought my first one when I was 19 and now I own like 10 of them because plush is one of my favorite textures in the world. But girls I would literally sit in bed and dream about owning a plush blanket. For years. Every time I went to summer camp and someone brought one for themselves I would stare at it, forlorn. Yearning.
I would read the science homeschool books excessively. I went into 5th grade Earth Science already knowing everything that we were being taught, because I had pored over geology and physical science books since I was 5. Probably about 5 years old is when I was able to explain how volcanoes worked and the layers of the earth. Also the water cycle.
These science books also included my dad's 100 year complete collection of national geographic magazines. At 2 years old I was able to explain the star life cycle and how black holes formed. As well as what would happen if you fell into one.
Once I gained access to the internet at 14 my knowledge of the cosmos expanded explosively. I became able to thoroughly explain multiverse theory, multiple theories for the origin of the universe, a good deal of the geological history of Mars, Mars's atmospheric composition, and could fully explain how solar flares worked, how Earth's magnetic field protected us, and how Mars magnetic field had disappeared taking the atmosphere with it. I was failing biology.
Transfered schools twice and a year later had to start biology over again, this time aced it. DNA replication was simple as pie.
SUCKED at math. Always.
Sucked at socialization.
Hyperfixated on the Maze Runner movies to the point where I had the 2nd one memorized and would read the credits for fun. Got so into the BTS that 5 years later I went to film school.
LOUD music was my faborite coping mechanism. Just about destroyed my hearing because I would, on a nightly basis, play heavydirtysoul on loop through the Brookstone ear buds I had gotten for Christmas at Max volume until I felt calm enough to sleep. Would also squirm with the music which i now know to be an uninformed attempt at stimming.
Just... how did I NOT get screened for autism as a kid? I was literally a textbook case for what likely would have been diagnosed as aspergers at the time.
My parents were somewhat neglectful at that time because of a lot of reasons, but I don't really fault them for it. Sometimes I forget that they even were but then I remember things like this.
Asked my mom about it yesterday "how did you not think me speaking full sentences at 10 months was weird?!!" And her response was "we didn't know!"
They didn't know my dad was autistic.
They didn't know that hitting your milestones 2-3 years early is NOT normal and likely a sign of a disorder.
They didn't know that repetitive behavior and obsessive organizing is not normal.
If they had known...... my childhood would have been so different. I wouldn't have nearly flunked out of college. I wouldn't have grown to hate myself because of my social skills. I wouldn't have had countless episodes of feeling like I was going to explode out of my skin but shoving it down and chewing on my cheek just to get through the social situation. So much would have been different.
This is why it's so important to spread general awareness of autism symptoms and behaviors. Real and varied examples, not just solely sdtereotypes and nonverbal autistic alone. And not just autism either but pretty much any disorder.
Or at least an awareness about what child development is SUPPOSED to look like, so that parents can flag when things aren't normal.

This was a line Castiel used to know by heart when he was a kid, watching The Wizard of Oz and believing fairytales were real. At thirty-one years old, he isn't a kid anymore, and it has been twelve years since he has known what home feels like. Twelve years. That's when his world had come crashing down and he had left his hometown, Holly Springs, with the broken pieces of what he once was to build a new life in San Francisco. But as circumstances force him to come back to the only place he swore he would never return to, Castiel is finally forced to face everything he once knew and loved. Especially when said everything is made of spring-green eyes and a stardust of freckles, wrapped in all the memories Castiel was not able to erase from his heart. After twelve years, Dean is as mesmerizing as Castiel remembers, but the scars of what was broken still run as deeply as the marrow of his bones, and Castiel will do everything he can to protect himself. After all, his favorite movie also taught him that 'until hearts can be made unbreakable,' he can’t listen to his own.

OH WOW
Hello, my friend, you have BOMBARDED me with these asks, I love it :]
For Sarah and Harley:
Yes, I'd say so. They're pretty young, so they haven't gone through that oh-so traumatic "everything about me is weird and awkward" phase of youth yet. Though, Harley has some self-consciousness of a few of the scars he gets on the SW quest
As of now? No, but Harley gets into punk rock and Sarah is super ride or die for basically any bad idea he has, so when they're 17 they get tattoos without telling anyone. Both their parents are livid about it
Sarah collects cool rocks and Harley collects dinosaurs :]
As said previously, Harley gets into punk rock, and Sarah has One music aesthetic and its the Crane Wives
Oh god, ummmmmm, neither of them particularly hate any music genre. Except for a few country songs that they only make fun of to annoy Steve, who does like Country, for some reason he won't ever explain
Sarah's phone background is a really blurry picture of her dog playing tug-of-war with one of Harley's raptors, and his is also a really blurry picture of the same thing but taken from a different angle
I've never thought about it, I don't really know tbh
Bubble. Wrap.
It's not professional by any means, at least, not in the mortal world--but they both get really competitive about Pyrobligst
Harley puts up tacky and overly colorful posters that don't even make sense because of how little color he grew up with. Sarah is a string lights kinda gal
They're 13 yr olds, of course they're messy
Harley: amidst a pile of raptors. Sarah: hogging all the blankets, she's the worst at sleepovers
They're both still children to me, so I'd say probably little trinkets their parents gave them when they're away from home for demigod business
Sarah is all about the Renaissance, though no one can figure out why. Harley is partial to the 1700s, mostly because a certain immortal pirate captain works for his father and likes to tell him stories of his time on the high seas
Harley can't cook and should never be trusted near a stove. Sarah is only a little bit better, but they're both chaotic and think they can bend the laws of physics to make cooking time go faster. Jim doesn't let them in the kitchen anymore
They both hate seafood. They don't like the texture, they don't like the taste. No I'm not projecting
No allergies per se, though they both get hit with seasonal stuff every spring and it kills their sinuses
Ooohhhhh, uh I will disincline to answer this because Spoilers
Any Pixar movie.
Harley will never, ever get tired of Alice in Wonderland. He relates to her way too much. Sarah doesn't read often because her dyslexia is worse than average for a demigod, but her favorite movie of all time is A Bug's Life
They both love to dance. Sarah is good at it, Harley's skill is better left unsaid, lol
Sarah's was definitely when Carter gifted her one of his knives. Very appropriate for a prepubescent girl, I know. Harley's was when Jim conscripted Leo and Nico's help to make him the infamous Raptor Resonating Chamber whistle he uses to properly communicate with his raptors
Sarah can't actually pick one because her life was pretty normal up until she met Carter. And Harley's will be the one on the island. For as sad as the situation is, they all do their best to make it fun
Chocolate all day every day
Sarah's is any pigeon ever. She found out about their past as domesticated animals and had Big Feelings about it. Harley's is the bat-eared fox. He aspires to pet one someday.
I will cut it there, and then reblog this post later, cause I don't want it to get too long all at once! Thanks for the asks!

Wednesday Addams Headcanons
Tumblr media
Her favorite serial killer is Jack the Ripper, whose true identity still remains a mystery.
Studies in the school library, always brings a black throw-blanket and a thermos of black coffee with her.
Like her mother, Wednesday is adept at gardening, and has a talent for cultivating exotic and rare plants that thrive in the shadows.
Enjoys bathing in ice-cold water.
Can’t really swim— she prefers to float face-down like a corpse (she can hold her breath for approximately 5 minutes.)
Rarely uses her phone, except for Xavier. Her answer to his calls always starts with “Hello. Who died?”
When she does send a text message, she always starts with a formal greeting, uses complete sentences, and signs off with a closing statement.
Blurts out weird trivia when she’s nervous, especially when she’s with Xavier. (Despite being baffled, he couldn't help but find it endearing.)
Loves the smell of rain, coffee, ink, and old parchment.
Her wardrobe is colored-coded— from the lightest shades of black to the darkest.
Gomez was the one who did her braids each morning before she mastered it herself.
Was prone to sleepwalking as a child.
Wears perfume with dark and subtle scents: her favorite one is Midnight Garden, floral scents with darker undertones: jasmine, patchouli with a hint of smoky incense.
Although being notoriously unfazed by most things that would frighten the average person, Wednesday has a secret phobia of Barney. She avoids any situation that involves the giant purple dinosaur.
Engages in embroidery. She finds sticking needles in and out of things very relaxing.
Listens to classical music on vinyl records. (Bach, Beethoven etc.)
Has a collection of animal bones. She stores them in Xavier’s art shed, in fear that Enid would chew on them.
She is a skillful horsewoman and has black stallion named Daredevil.
Arranges her books in alphabetical order by author's last name.
Her favorite authors: Mary Shelley, H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Anne Rice, Shirley Jackson and Gillian Flynn.
Wednesday fancies the intense flavor of dark chocolate, she refuses to eat anything lower than 90% cocoa content.
Although she often clashes with Pugsley, Wednesday secretly admires his reckless abandon and wishes she could let loose like he does.
She is an excellent baker and is known her treats with unexpected ingredients, such as ghost pepper cupcakes or lavender-infused brownies.

Which Stories from the Doraemon Manga Have Not Been Translated into English?
Tumblr media
When I compiled my spreadsheet of Doraemon manga chapters available in English, I noted that 16 stories from the manga remain untranslated. (That number only covers Doraemon manga by the original author, Fujiko F. Fujio, and not the various spin-offs and adaptations by other authors.) However, at the time I hadn't gone to the trouble of tracking down exactly which ones these were. I have now done the work, so here I can provide the complete list of Doraemon manga stories unavailable in English.
As I'd observed previously, none of the stories featuring the retconned character Gachako were translated, of which there are five in total:
"ドラえもん対ガチャ子" ("Doraemon vs. Gachako", 1970)
"ロボットのガチャ子" ("Gachako the Robot", 1970)
"きょうりゅうが来た" ("A Dinosaur is Here", 1970)
"まほうのかがみ" ("Magic Mirror", 1970)
"おかしなでんぱ" ("Strange Electromagnetic Waves", 1970)
In addition to those, the following Doraemon stories lack official English translations:
"ドラえもんのおとしだま" ("Doraemon's New Year's Money", 1971): Doraemon tricks Nobita and his friends into giving him money for New Year's. (Early Doraemon had a somewhat different personality from what we're used to now...) A two-page bonus comic drawn to promote a manga contest.
"遊園地になる木" ("A Tree That Becomes an Amusement Park", 1972): Doraemon plants a tree that does what the title implies. Out of all the untranslated Doraemon stories, this is the only one for which I can't think of any obvious explanation for why it has been omitted. It's a very short, one-page comic directed at kindergarteners, but other such Doraemon stories have been translated for the Kindle release, so... I've got nothing.
"はりええほんドラえもん" ("Sticker Picture Book Doraemon", 1973): An interactive comic in which the reader is encouraged to cut out provided images and glue them into blank spaces to complete the plot. Notably features the earliest appearance of the Mini Doraemons. Given that English Doraemon comics have primarily been released in digital format, it's understandable why this story has not been translated.
"じゅん番入れかわりそうち" ("Order Changer", 1974): Title page pictured above. This was the introduction to the Dorami spin-off in which she takes care of Nobita's identical-looking distant relative, Nobitaro. The other stories from the spin-off were later redrawn to be part of the main Doraemon series, rendering this one out of place for most future releases.
"ドラえもん百科" ("The Doraemon Encyclopedia", 1975): A bonus comic presenting an illustrated guide to Doraemon's gadgets, first published in vol. 6 of the 45-volume Doraemon print compilation. Based on the art style, this entry was not illustrated by Fujiko F. Fujio himself, and it was not included in The Complete Works of Fujiko F. Fujio. It really only qualifies for this list on the technicality of being printed in the 45-volume set (the contents of which were selected by Fujio). Not to be confused with "ドラえもん大事典", which despite also translating to "The Doraemon Encyclopedia" and having been first published in 1975, is included in the English Kindle release.
"ジャックと豆の木" ("Jack and the Beanstalk", 1975): Gian asks Doraemon for a giant beanstalk. This story was released as part of Fujio's Shonen SF Short Story Collection, so it is technically not part of the Doraemon series. However, given that it features Doraemon characters as protagonists, it can be considered a Fujio-authored Doraemon story.
"ドラえもんの大ひみつ" ("Doraemon's Big Secret", 1976): A two-page bonus comic in which Nobita learns Doraemon's backstory.
"未来の遊び百科" ("Future Game Encyclopedia", 1976): Doraemon shows Nobita games that people will play in the 22nd Century. Much of the material from this comic was later merged with "ドラえもん大事典" ("The Doraemon Encyclopedia") when the latter was reprinted in vol. 11 of the 45-volume set.
"さよならハンカチ" ("Goodbye Handkerchief", 1980): A two-page bonus comic drawn as a prize for a contest in which readers could send in their own gadget concepts.
"シューズセット" ("Shoe Set", 1980): A two-page bonus comic drawn as a prize for a contest in which readers could send in their own gadget concepts.
"人間そっくりたまご" ("Human Lookalike Egg", 1981): A three-page bonus comic drawn as a prize for a contest in which readers could send in their own gadget concepts.
That covers the 16 missing entries based on the total number of Fujio-authored Doraemon stories recognized by Yasuyuki Yokoyama, professor of education at the University of Toyama and founder of Doraemonology (yes, that’s a thing). However, there are a couple of remaining stories that should arguably be considered as well, and also remain untranslated:
"道路光線" ("Pathway Beam", 1980): A two-page bonus comic drawn as a prize for a contest in which readers could send in their own gadget concepts. Yokoyama didn't count this as a separate story because it was expanded in 1981 into a regular-length chapter, "歩け歩け月までも" ("Walking to the Moon") (which is available in English), but the argument could be made that it should be, much like how he considered the original short version of "Nobita's Dinosaur" and its extended Doraemon Long Stories version independent entries.
"ドラQパーマン" ("Dora Q Perman", 1979): A crossover with two of Fujio's other series, Obake no Q-Tarō and Perman. This story was primarily drawn by Hideo Shinoda, which is why it was omitted from Yokoyama's list. However, Fujio is still credited as one of the authors and it is included in The Complete Works of Fujiko F. Fujio.
I have added all of the above stories to my spreadsheet so that it now doubles as a complete list of Fujio-authored Doraemon entries.
If there is a takeaway to all of this, it's that the English Kindle release really is a very complete record of the Doraemon manga. If you read every Doraemon story available on Kindle in English, you will have read nearly every Doraemon work made by the original author, outside of a few exceptional outliers. That being said, it's clear that the Kindle version takes some liberties with its translation (as I have previously noted), so if one wishes to gain an accurate picture of the original dialogue, the Japanese version should always be consulted when possible.

The History of the World Begins in Ice
I’m delighted to announce that, in Summer 2024, Fairwood Press will be publishing a collection of stories and essays from the Spiritwalker (Cold Magic) universe, titled
THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD BEGINS IN ICE:
Stories and Essays from the World of Cold Magic.
That’s right! A collection of fiction and non fiction from and about my Afro-Celtic post-Roman icepunk adventure set in an alt-fantasy 19th century Earth alongside a perilous spirit world, and including Phoenician spies, well-dressed men, revolutionary-minded women, and of course lawyer dinosaurs.
The collection will be published in a trade paperback edition and an ebook edition. It will contain eleven stories and eleven essays, as well as an introduction by N.K. Jemisin.
Each story will have an illustration by a different artist. The collection will include “The Secret Journal of Beatrice Hassi Barahal” with all 28 of the original Julie Dillon illustrations, previously published only in a 300 copy chapbook edition. Here’s the narrator of the trilogy, Cat Barahal, as drawn by Julie Dillon.
Tumblr media
Nine of the eleven stories were previously published. The other two are being written specifically for this collection.
If there is enough interest, Fairwood Press will produce a limited edition deluxe hardcover edition with two extra color plates (by Julie Dillon), a fold out triptych (by Kelsey Liggett), and a chapbook insert of the infamous smut chapter, “Chapter 31.5,” from Cold Fire. I can’t promise exact figures (and recent cost of paper increases may mean my guess is way out of date) but likely in the $40-50 range for a book of about 100,000 words.
You can express interest here (comment below or reply via email) or by writing directly to Fairwood Press. If you are interested, please (if you can) write in as soon as possible since creating a deluxe edition will take additional work, monetary investment, and time (that we would be delighted to take on).
Pre-order information will come as soon as it is available.
I first started thinking in autumn 2018 about producing this collection with a Fall 2020 publication date to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the publication of Cold Magic. Events conspired against me at the time, by which I mean I didn’t have the energy or time to move forward with it.
So I am incredibly thrilled to work with Patrick Swenson and Fairwood Press to bring this long-dreamt-of project to life and share it with all of you Spiritwalker fans.

Looks down on those who still watch cartoons at their age like Dan and Specs, despite she herself liking a good Bugs Bunny cartoon once and awhile. Enjoys teen gossip magazines like Teen Beat, ‘Teen, and Super Teen, but doesn’t read much otherwise.
Green Heather: A closet Muppets, Indiana Jones and Star Wars fan. Particularly likes the Ewok spin off movies, but desperately tries to hide this from the other Heathers. Absolutely hates romance movies like Can’t Buy Me Love, and chafes when Red Heather forces her to watch them for movie night. Has a thing for musicals like The Phantom of the Opera, Starlight Express and Cats.
Gold Heather: Despite her sweet demeanor and appearance, she LOVES horror and slasher movies like Hellraiser, Friday the 13th, Halloween, Child’s Play, Army of Darkness, Creepers, and Fright Night. The bloodier and more chaotic, the better. Red and Green are too disturbed to really judge or comment and just let Gold enjoy herself. She also dabbles in anime because of Specs, owning a Doraemon keychain he gifted her clipped to her purse. When asked by others, she denies knowing what it is and just found it cute in a crude attempt to protect her reputation.
Specs: HUGE Star Wars fan. Had he survived, he would also be a fan of the Prequels and Sequels, mostly happy there’s more movies to enjoy and analyze, despite agreeing the sequels aren’t that great. Big anime fan, enjoying stuff like Space Adventure Cobra, Demon City Shinjuku, Arcadia of My Youth: Endless Orbit SSX, Doraemon, Saint Seiya, Space Warrior Baldos, Robot Carnival, Giant Gorg, Ronin Warriors and Sherlock Hound, but particularly loves Tatsunoko Productions like the various Time Bokan series and Tekkaman.
Kurt: Enjoys stuff like Conan the Barbarian, TMNT, He-Man, Thundercats, Thundarr the Barbarian, Blackstar and Bravestarr, but hides it initially. He-Man is his jam, and is both his “gay awakening” and the reason he started working out and getting into sports. Once admitted to Dan that Prince Adam/He-Man is his idol and who he strived to be, but failed and instead became an Evil Warrior like Two-Bad (in conjunction with Ram). Likes to collect He-Man toys but is often in a disguise when going to places like KB Toys to find them. Similarly likes collecting He-Man and TMNT comics but tries to hide them In between workout and swimsuit magazines. Also reads the gay model magazine Stud Puppy, but isn’t as good at hiding it… Actually got to model for Stud Puppy in his early twenties as part of a personal milestone.
Ram: A big TMNT fan, especially the movies and video games, but initially hides it. Is actually a pretty big gamer when he’s not playing football, and frequents the arcades to play the games albeit in disguise. An expert BurgerTime, Pole Position, Contra, Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, and Donkey Kong player, and is very fond of Mario and The Legend of Zelda. Isn’t particularly great at sports games like ExciteBike and Track & Field ironically. A casual fan of Star Wars, and unsurprisingly his favorite part of Return of the Jedi is the slave Leia stuff. Enjoys testosterone charged movies like Top Gun, The Running Man, Commando, Bloodsport, Big Trouble in Little China and The Warriors.
Betty: Similar tastes to Veronica and Martha. Seems particularly into Care Bears, ironic given her cruelty later on. Likes sitcoms like Family Ties, The Golden Girls and Nightcourt.
Jamie: Shares Dan, Kurt, Ram and Spec’s interests. Big Dungeons & Dragons kid and loves the cartoon. Big movie guy like Martha. Enjoys stuff like V, Quantum Leap, TerraHawks, Poltergeist, Batteries Not Included and Flight of the Navigator.
Thrash: Shares Ram’s interest in testosterone based movies. Big Arnold Schwarzenegger and Slyvester Stallone fan.
Throttle: Like Veronica, he is a bit of a bibliophile, and enjoys classic literature. Likes Steven King and the Dune series in particular.
