Scar Pearl asked him to make it quick, painless. It was for the best if he she died right now. But Grian Scar refused. He wanted a fair game and a fair fight. He didn’t want to kill him her just like that. And so they fought.

But it was all meaningless. Scar Pearl missed all his her shots while Grian Scar landed all of them. They ran around, but it was a ruse for their own sakes. Scar Pearl got cornered, but it had never been Grian’s Scar’s call. Scar Pearl had decided already who was the winner, and it wasn’t going to be him her.

When Scar Pearl fell, it felt like déjà vu.

Scar: We have! We hit it off quite nicely. He says that I'm cute AF- which I assume stands for "and fun"!

Pearl: Awwwww, it doesn't.

Scar sacrificed himself to Grian. It’s a courtesy. An apology for wrong doing. But he fights him fair and square in the end. He just loses.

Scott sacrifices himself for Pearl. It is admitting defeat. Rolling over on your back and letting the stronger wolf win. She kills four people and readies herself to kill again. He finishes himself off, saving her the trouble. It’s an apology, too, in a way.

Pearl sacrifices herself to Scar. It is inevitable. He does not want to win this way. She does not want to win at all, begs to not win. He does not realize she isn’t fighting to kill. He won when he killed Gem, when he brought Scott down to two hearts. Scott sacrifices himself to Gem. It doesn’t matter in the end. Pearl stares at the golden apple in her hotbat and doesn’t touch it. She gives him a fight. It’s a courtesy. It’s an apology for how wrong this is.

PRO: Fang Yilun is one of the most underrated cdrama actors and he finally gets to lead, it looks like a 1980s romance novel come to life, and FL is gorgeous.

CON:

THE RISE OF NING

PRO: I adore Ren Min, the trailer was fun, evil families are always a fun time, and Zhang Wanyi can definitely act.

CON: I loathed what LYF2 did with ZWY's character and loathed the entirely of AYTO, him included. Please don't make it a threefer.

SNOWY NIGHT TIMELESS LOVE

(side note, on youtube, this video, by the official iQIYI channel no less, is titled as "Li Qin Zeng Shunxi sadomasochism." Draw your own conclusions.)

PRO: gorgeous visuals, spectacular-looking fights, Li Qin x ZSX seem to pine gloriously, snooooooow
