I've always thought that the EX versions of the bosses should of been cooler, like some sort of design change instead of the rainbow effect they have in-game. So I've done a couple redesigns for the Deathwish versions of the bosses! (Excluding Snatcher because he's behind all of this and he thinks he's perfect 🙄)

The context is that Deathwish is where Snatcher has this sort of alternative pocket-dimension universe where the Deathwish challenges take place, and he goes around asking these other versions of the bosses what they desire most, corrupting them for his use in the hellish battles he puts Hat Kid against.

Imagine a AU in wich Hat Kid comes back to check on how Mu is doing with the timepiece, only to find out that she never got it and the Conductor and DJ Grooves are fighting for it since then, arguing about wich of the two did Hat left it for

Hat: hey, I hope the timepiece could help you out!

Mu: *record scratch* I beg your pardon

Conductor: She left it fer me!

DjGrooves: You attacked her with knifes, of course she left it for me!

Conductor: In yar dreams!

Hey everybody! Guess who's back with another art prompt! This time around, the prompt was "Back to School" although I (A little person from the land down-under) have been at school this entire time 🙄

Anyway, I decided to draw the directors... but little! I think before their bitter rivalry, they would of been best friends in school! I would imagine these guys to be in primary school at the time of this art. Being the little daredevil he is, Con probably wanted to go down a semi-dangerous short-cut where Grooves wanted to keep him out of trouble.

Party Conductor, it's in his name and partying is his GAME! Owner of the BEST and ONLY party train in the entire pecking galaxy, he is a movie director in Dead Bird Studio! Wild and loud, he has no sense of volume control. He just knows everything has to be VIBRANT, LOUD, AND NO COOL DOWN WHATSOEVER! Of course, because of how...LOUD and flashy his movies are, not many get reviewed.

He and Grooves are rivals, and he envies the amount of awards Mr. Grooves managed to win with his BORING jazz like films! He's going to show the movie industry that EXCITEMENT is what they REALLY NEED!

Mr. Grooves is also a movie director in Dead Bird Studio. Born as a moon penguin, this old bird enjoys the calming atmosphere of space and night skies, add that with a bit of jazz music and you have yourself a nice calming time. He's very humble and tends to overwork himself with his movies. His movies are mainly jazzy films, but he also delves into romance and mystery. He is much quieter than Conductor, and tends to find the owl's choice in how he presents his movies...kinda obnoxious.

He doesn't necessarily DESPISE Conductor. If anything, he wants to offer the other director help and tips! Of course, it's hard when you're working with a stubborn bird.
