Do you guys like strange and weird analog horror? Well I got the person just for you!
Tumblr media
Onigiri Cat!
They have many different short stories in an analog theme and weirdcore, for an example!
1. Happy Child. If you find life boring, buy a 'Happy Child'. A simulated companion robot.
2. Happiness Microwave Oven. Feeling irritable about life? Worry about cooking or baking? Buy a Happiness Microwave Oven!
3. Children Knowledge Program. Teach your kids about the lovely animals on our planet and which one is NOT an animal.
4. Sunshine Kindergarten. We have amazing teachings for your kids
5. A Good Book. What good book you found! Let's read shall we?
6. Chimera + Record 1. She is coming.
7. Energy Biscuit. A healthy cookie, what harm can it do?
And so much more! I definitely recommend you to take a watch!

sorry am i reading a fanfic on ao3 or a published novel. this book has EVERY trope.
spoilers below of me listing tropes:
AND THEY WERE ROOMMATES
AND THERE WAS ONLY ONE BED
AND HE WAITED

I just love your writing. Do you have any author recommendations or can you share some of your favorite books? I’m trying to get back into reading 😅
hi! thank you so much for this!!! i have not been writing for svu for a handful of reasons but i do miss it and love that you are enjoying the stories i have shared.
this is a tough question so i will answer with just some of the books that have inspired me and have gotten stuck in my brain, along with some recent reads i’ve really liked.
in no particular order:
Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead by Olga Tokarczuk
Love by Toni Morrison
Her Body and Other Parties by Carmen Maria Machado
The Great Believers by Rebecca Makkai
Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders
What We Talk About When We Talk About Love by Raymond Carver
The Quick and the Dead by Joy Williams
Cat's Eye by Margaret Atwood
Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield
Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauzner
Where I Was From by Joan Didion
tried to stick to fiction but a couple of memoirs slipped in there.
happy reading :)

You gotta read and watch some old books and films that aren’t 100% modern politically correct. I’m not saying you should agree with everything in them but you need to learn where genres came from to understand what those genres are doing today and where media deconstructing old tropes is coming from.
Also, more often than you might think, they’re not actually promoting bigotry so much as “didn’t consider all the implications of something” or just used words that were polite then but considered offensive now.
Kill the censor in your head.

Me: I shouldn't disturb Neil Gaiman. I shouldn't send an ask unless I really have no way of getting the information otherwise. I'll check old interviews and all the articles that vaguely mention the subject. Of course it goes without saying that I'll read though the FAQ in its entirety. Only then, will I send an ask. However, I'd be very polite and praise his work, as anyone would. I'd also keep it short, because I don't want to waste his time. But I'd keep it very very respectful. I'd be sending a message to a very talented, amazing author that deals with god knows how many like me. Or I'd just stay in the dark and not send him an ask. Yeah, I'll do that.
My Dash:

i think theres this idea in the general public that the "best" fanfic gets turned into real books like 50 shades of grey. but the truth is that the best fanfic can never be published as an actual book because its intricately woven into the canon material so its inseparable even if you change the names
