Magic Shop - Grace

[BTS WEVERSE] GRACE started their LIVE: How are you feeling?

ARMY got their notification as it came through to their phones in the middle of the afternoon in Seoul. It had been awhile since Grace had been seen, heard or even mentioned since all members of BTS had enlisted with the military, Jungkook & Jimin the last two to go. Fans had taken to messaging or commenting on Instagram posts or on LIVE videos of TXT, CL, Seventeen and IU to see where Korea’s noona was.

The background didn’t belong to any studio or a modern apartment like ARMY were used to seeing from BTS. It looked homely, warm, unique and with a hint of British to it. She was sitting in a brown leather office chair, dressed in a jumper but with a cardigan wrapped around her and a blanket thrown over her legs.

As always, she was cradling a cup of tea.

The video was muted as she turned to her left, said something then nodded before turning her attention to the screen in front of her which was then when the video was unmuted.

“Good afternoon, ARMY. How are we doing?�� she asked, shifting so she brought a knee up to rest her mug on as she leaned forward to see the screen.

“You’re feeling sad? Hungry. You’ve got homework to do, ooh someone is about to go on a date. Well have a lovely time. Sad, sad, sad,” Grace read through the fast incoming comments.

“I’m feeling sad,” she admitted as she smiled slightly. “As you know, the boys have gone to do their duty for the military. I’ve seen them all off now so I don’t know quite what to do with myself. I’ve come to stay with my parents for a little bit, Min-ji is enjoying himself with his grandparents. But I just wanted to come here and show my face, to say I’m here, I’ve not disappeared. I just needed a little while to reorganise my mind, if that makes sense?”

Grace took a sip of tea and watched the comments go up the screen, ignoring the ones that were plain stupid or the ones that only cared about one member in particular.

“Will I have contact with them? I will. Don’t worry, the group chat is alive and well. Namjoon sent a message which translated, means I’m freezing my ass off,” Grace explained as she switched to English when she saw the English comment come in. “So they're doing well. Seokjin is getting promoted left right and centre, Yoongi is having fun being a civil servant, Hobi is kicking ass and obviously our boys are adjusting. I’ve been keeping an eye on them in the best way I can. But it won’t be long till they are home. You just have to deal with me for a while.”

She laughed as the comments came in, some saying: ‘Grace noona is going to be the best ARMY leader ever’ ‘when is your solo stuff coming?’ ‘when is Seokjin coming home?’

“My solo stuff. Ah well, it’s coming. I promise. I have a lot planned but I can’t reveal everything yet. I’m under tight instructions not to say anything until it’s ready and we’re nearly there, you just need to wait a couple of months or so and then it will be here and you won’t know what to do with yourselves.”

“Am I okay?” Grace read one comment, pausing as she looked at the screen then the mug then back to the screen again.

“No is the honest answer. I’ve been with all of them for 13 years now? Roughly. I met Namjoon first, then Yoongi & Hobi and then all of them trickled in. I’ve been at Big Hit since I was 18 or 19 and I’m nearly 34. That’s a long time. So my world since the day I signed my BTS contract has been them and now I don’t have that. They're doing their duty and I’m very proud of them but it’s hard not having one of them here, every moment of every day. So I’m adjusting to the fact that I don’t have access to all of them now. It was alright when it was just one or two but now it’s all of them.”

Grace paused and took a sip of her drink, smiling slightly. “But don’t worry about me, I’m getting there. Like all of you, we were all here and now there’s only one but I know the boys have plenty of things to entertain you with while they enlist and you’ve got my things coming as well, so you won’t be bored. In fact, you’re going to be complaining.”

It was obviously a tease and she knew exactly what she was hinting at with Yoongi’s Suchwita episode with her still to come where the announcement would be that she was coming on her birthday and then it was going to be a whirlwind from her birthday onwards and then her tour.

So much to do, so little time but for now, she was content to sit with ARMY and just chat.

“Sing Magic Shop,” one comment caught her eye.

“I don’t have Jungkook’s karaoke set up but one moment, let me see what I can do.”

She untangled herself from her cocoon and went to the door, left the room and then came back with another phone. “I’ve stolen my mother’s phone so one second everyone.”

Grace closed the door behind her, just as Min-Ji slipped through the door. “Ah I guess he wants to say hello.”

She sat back down in her chair and sorted her blankets, tapping at her lap so Min-Ji could jump up. He gracefully did so and put his front paws on the desk, sniffing at the phone that was filming her live.

“You done? It’s only ARMY. Say hello.”

He gave a soft meow as he turned and made biscuits in her lap while she searched on her mother’s phone for the Magic Shop karaoke version.

“Okay, here we go. So everyone, I’m fine, sad as you are but I’m here if you need me. Just shout my name on WeVerse and I’ll come running - no matter what you need, what you want to ask, what you want to see, don’t hesitate to contact me, okay? After all, I’m in charge of the Magic Shop now,” Grace smiled as she lifted her hand to show her heart fingers. “I love you all.”

ARMY were left with Grace singing her version of Magic Shop to them, which the clip would be later uploaded to Twitter with many asking for Grace to release it for ARMY as a present.

About what you mentioned with wondering if Jungkook didn't get a lot of help with those older songs. I'm not sure about solo songs, but if we're talking group songs, I never valued those credits too much. Specially if compared to solo songs. I remember Jungkook fans loved to brag about him having more credits than Jimin, but most of those credits are from group songs while most of Jimin's credits are from his own songs (Jimin may have more credits now after Face and Muse, I'm not sure). And that's better in my opinion. Cause I feel like there's a limit to how much involvement a vocalline member can have in a group song.

Think about it, if you write down the lyrics of every BTS song at least half of it will be the rapline's verses. When you listen to the song those verses go fast, but there's normally a lot of lyrics. And the biggest section of the song for the vocaline is the chorus, which tends to have only a few lines and then is repeated usually three times without any change in lyrics. So, like I said, at least half of the song is the raplines's verses, and I'm pretty sure they write those themselves, I sincerely doubt the vocaline has ever written any rap verse. So that means that every time a vocaline member is credited in a group song, there's only half the song they could've have contributed to. Which is not to say they made that entire half, cause while the vocaline doesn't write the rapline parts, the rapline does often write the vocaline parts, so rapline is included in both halves. And then there's the other non-BTS people credited in the song, often producers. So that's a minimum of 5 people (3 rappers + 1 vocalist + at least 1 producer) all writing that half of the song. So how much do you think the 1 vocalist really wrote?

We don't normally get the answer for that, but there's one example. We know exactly what Jimin's contribution to Dis-ease was. He made the brigbe of the song, that's it, no other parts. And sure, that one part is literally the best part of the whole album and one of fans favorite parts in any BTS song, but that's just Jimin and his magical touch, I doubt the other vocalist could do so much with so little, that's a Jimin only specialty (shout out to him changing the course of k-pop history with his 20 seconds in BST). Anyway, the point is that this is probably what the vocalists contributions to group songs normally look like, just one part of the song.

In contrast, the vocalists are probably way more involved when it's their solo songs. No three rappers to take half the song here. Also, when the song is only yours you can write more personal lyrics, while in the group you have to be a little more general because it's a song six other people have to sing too. Think of how personal Jimin got to be in FACE, he simply couldn't have done that in a group song. And Jimin is also big on melodies (NO shout out to him being robbed of his credits in BST), and if the song is only his he can fully decided what it's going to sound like. There's just a lot more control someone gets to have in a song that is only theirs. With a group songs there's only so much space for your own ideas when there's 6,7,8 other people involved.

When you look at the credits of Dis-ease and Alone (my favorite), Jimin is credited in both songs. But are those credits comparable? Honestly, I would rather one solo credit than ten group credits. So when people brag about Jungkook's credits, which are mostly from group songs, I'm not impressed. Because when solo era came around he had zero involved in his own album and no credit in a random BTS song people don't even realize he wrote some lyrics for is gonna change that.

Seriously though, what BTS songs did he even write? You mentioned Magic Shop and I had forgotten about that and can't remember much more. I think he did one of their japanese songs, which is weird cause he didn't seem to speak japanese very well in AYS, so how the hell did he write that? Honestly, I think the majority of fans have no idea he wrote any of these group songs, people are way more aware of solo songs. All fans know Jimin wrote his own albums, you don't need to look at the BTS wiki to find out about that.

What's wrong with jungkook

Omg. Jk has been giving me mixed signals eversince he released seven. It's like there's a spark but the wires are not connecting cause wtf. Okay so before jimin got number one on the BB I bet nobody ever dreamt of it or even thought it was possible even jimin himself he never aimed for the billboard he just wanted to release music but it just happened to happen that every song he released this year charts on the BB. Like how am I going to say this... I just don't know what's wrong with him lately he's like a rookie that just got fame and now is letting it change him. Like I know there's no problem whatsoever when a person wants to chart on the BB I mean that's ever artist's dream but...

Like what do you mean by that. Jk already know that, that position is already secured scooter already payed the money we know. But why the sudden obsess with no1 if jimin hadn't got that no1 I bet he wouldn't even be thinking about it. But I've always knew he's been competitive and he's said numerous times he wants to be recognised more and stuff so what scooter and bang pd did they didn't manipulate him nor threaten him he wants this, all this payola and fraud. I'm disappointed in him actually cause why would he actually shit ok everything that BTS stood for, for years making music the honest way. What's he hoping to gain from this? Because armies might be blind but the world isn't. Like what is wrong with him.

The members have been acting fishy during the second chapter. If it's not Tae distancing himself from the group it's RM and acting bitter sometimes and well yoongi then now jk who's suddenly became chart obsessed it's like he tryna be the Beyonce of the group or something. I literally don't want to hate him but lowrdddd he's pushing me lowrdddd. It's like he tryna prove he's the golden goose and no-one can outdo him. I don't know what's he hoping to gain from this really because news flash this ain't gonna gain him new fans or something. BTS have always been used as scapegoats and belittled for way too long after proving themselves over and over again to the west and to Asia that honest artists to exits, that in order to achieve you must be passionatee

BTS has always preached about how making music is more that just making musing and selling music it's about passion, the message and all but wtf is this...

I swear I'm not slandering him nor being a hater jk is/ was my second fav after jimin and I'm a jikooker and I love them both but I tend to lean to jimin's side more because he's the owner of the magic shop. The reason why I'm into BTS today.

Anyways BTS has never urged us to vote for them, stream for them, buy their music all they've asked from us is to enjoy their music. But someone doesn't think so...

Yoongi and JK are the members that have been pushed the most so far. I mean a Tour really when's he going to military? Then jk and his payola and fraud I'm disgusted atp. It's like he wants to blow up so bad, like dude you're already famous what more do you want, or he knows he wouldn't have achieved what he did with seven without all that push which is why he's welcoming the payola with open hands and happy about it.

This is the last time I'm talking about this I'm unfollowing anything related to him because I don't want to be toxic and know what's going to happen forward is going to shatters that little love I have left from him so I'm unfollowing everything related to him I don't want to see his face nor hear his name till jimin releases something.

Anyways congratulations to Tae on his new ambassadorial deal as the new brand ambassador for Cartier. And Kths had the nerve to involve jimin in their celebration like have your little celebration but know your boundaries Tiffany is bigger than Celine and Cartier combined. Does anyone know the difference between a Global House ambassador and a Brand Ambassador

Okay I'm using this ask to share some thoughts (not hate!) regarding Tae's album.

I've always had difficulty "getting" Taehyung, and he's the member I relate least to despite his vibes matching mine pretty well. But his songs kinda hit home for me, and I was looking forward to his album because it could be something entirely unique in terms of the sound. His voice is amazing, his love for jazz could really shine- maybe even sth operatic. I loved all the solo albums thus far, as well as the solo songs (except dreamers because I don't touch the whole Qatar world cup stuff), but Love Me Again just completely disappointed me.

The lyrics are unimaginative and repetitive, and the melody is just...weird? I barely could finish watching it once. It's not generic, just forgettable (whereas f.e. Harry Styles' music is maybe generic by virtue of being pop but definitely not forgettable).

The MV is a thing I can't be bothered to analyse because the song gives me no motivation to go look at it. The MV for Set Me Free pt 2 wasn't overly complex (compared to Like Crazy, other BTS productions or the AgustD trilogy), but the song was so good you wanted to connect the lyrics to the poem on his chest & the choreography. There was depth. Layers!

If it was sth Tae had his fingers in, I'd just accept it but learning now that he wasn't actually involved is just confusing. After witnessing the care, love and soul the other members put into their releases, it feels off-putting (say what you will about seven but the sheer meme-ness of the MV is worth its existence. Also JK being constantly infantilized by ppl younger than him, and him doing such a song is very liberating). Like this album was just something he thought he had to do because the others were doing it? An afterthought. Maybe I'm being unkind, maybe I shouldn't expect BTS to always write emotionally cathartic pieces about the human experience.

But after crying to The Astronaut, being shocked by JitB, pondering life to Indigo, getting my world rocked by Face and going through every human emotion ever conceived with D-Day this fell flat. Every other BTS member has proven with their solo albums that they're more, that they have depth and complexity in both who they are and how they use music. That there's a point to what they're doing. I'm holding off on JK because I'm somewhat hopeful he will release a full album, and from what we've seen from him (Magic Shop, Decalcomania, Still With You etc) he could do something just as emotionally meaning as his hyungs (The pressure on him is insane).

I've never not cared about a release. I've never checked out of promotions. I won't go around spreading my opinions. One because I just don't care that much, and two because I feel like Taehyung's fans tend to be more toxic - even non solo just regular Tae biased army.

Tl;dr: If you don't want to have a deep song (which is fine) at least don't make it boring both musically and visually, and don't just hint at concepts (through clothes or set design) but commit.

Well, I understand what you mean. I just listened to Love Me Again and Rainy Days again, and they're pretty nice songs, but not really my style. Having both pre-releases be so similar is a bit unexciting too, as are the MVs are. Overall nothing V has done lately has been exciting to me. But that's okay. There's tons of BTS content I haven't watched. I haven't even watched Yoongi's D-Day tour. I'm busy and it feels like too much pressure to watch everything even if no one is making me. I didn't expect to care about V's debut since I wasn't looking forward to it (in the sense that I just didn't care much, no offense to V, I do love him but he feels distant from me) so I'm not disappointed, but I think he had the potential to do a lot more and it's still a bit sad he likely won't blow it out of the park with his debut, like Jikook did, in very different ways (even if I had major complaints with their debuts, they did surprise people and challenge people's images of them).

What is your age? 25.

What is your gender? Female.

What country are you from? The Philippines.

How long have you been a fan of BTS? 2 years which have flown by like a blur.

How did you discover BTS? It was through Angela, who became a fan a little earlier than I did – around the time of BE if I remember correctly. She was fully invested by like early 2021 when she'd vent to me about how they'd be unfairly treated at stuff like the Grammys and such.

Have you ever attended a BTS concert? Not all 7, but I've seen a solo member in concert – that'd be Yoongi during his last tour. He didn't have a show in Manila, but he had one in Bangkok and my best friends and I flew in to see him. It was awesome. Our flights to and from Thailand had been full of fans.

Which BTS member is your bias (favorite)? Namjoon. My first was Jin, then Taehyung, then Namjoon.

What is your favorite BTS album? Map of the Soul: 7 is my ultimate favorite, then Wings is an extremely close second. I love love love how the tracklists flow in both.

Name your top three favorite BTS songs. Well, those two ^ then I'll add Love Yourself: Tear in the mix. I have nothing more to say about the album that churned out Outro: Tear.

Do you own physical copies of BTS albums? I do – up until You Never Walk Alone, then it kind of gets staggered from there. I only have three versions of the Love Yourself series, one version of MOTS: 7, one version of BE, both versions of Butter, and both versions of Proof.

I once committed to collecting all versions of all albums, but any fan can probably deduce why I stopped at the LY era – 12 versions is just too much of a financial commitment (I know my limits too! Hahaha). So I'm on an indefinite hiatus with album collecting for now, but the goal is definitely not dead. It's just not my current priority.

Which BTS music video is your favorite? I've always held I Need U on such a high pedestal the moment I saw it and I don't think that will ever change.

Have you ever covered a BTS song or dance? No, I neither sing nor dance.

Do you prefer BTS's older or newer music? I like the stuff they put out in 2016-2018 the most. The older hip-hop stuff are nice but they're a tad angsty for me to call them my favorite. I have nothing bad to say about the newer sounds, so it really all just boils down to a matter of preference.

Have you streamed a BTS song on a music platform in the past week? Yeah I was literally listening to Magic Shop right before taking this.

How many BTS songs can you sing along to? I mean I can sing along to most (if not all, tbh?) their choruses...but I'm generally better at memorizing their ballads cos obviously they're slower, making it easier to catch up with the Korean. I also memorize a handful of their Japanese songs – in general, picking up Japanese is way easier for me than Korean.

In any case, I can definitely make it through a concert confidently singing along to most of the lines haha.

Who is your BTS bias wrecker (second favorite)? It's been Yoongi and Jimin over the last few months.

Which BTS member do you relate to the most? As far as interests and outlook in life, definitely Namjoon. Behavior-wise I see so much of Hobi in me. It'd kill him to not go through life the textbook and methodical way, and I'm honestly the same. I need order, systems, spreadsheets, lists...lol. We'd either get along really well or be at each other's throats 24/7.

Which BTS member's style do you admire the most? Probably Namjoon's. He didn't exactly have a signature style in earlier years and was kind of just wearing whatever, then he must have figured it out at some point because all of his outfits have just been super neat-looking and coordinated.

If you could meet one BTS member, who would it be? I would not want to meet any of them and tbh would run for my life if I ever spotted them in a non-concert setting LOL.

Do you follow BTS members' individual activities and solo music? Of course. My love for them transcends chapters and I love them as solo artists just as much as I love them as a group. I've followed all comebacks and have every album of theirs starting from Jack in the Box.

Which BTS member do you think has the best stage presence? All of them have their own charms and the thing about them is that they mesh well enough on stage for them to never be overpowering one another.

Have you ever joined a BTS fan club? I mean, being part of ARMY is enough. I am a member of a couple of local fan communities though – I even flew with a bunch of them to Thailand.

Do you participate in BTS fan art or fan fiction? I participate merely in that I consume fanfics every now and then. I don't write and don't think I ever will.

Have you ever attended a BTS fan gathering or fan convention? I haven't, actually. My schedule never aligns with whatever's happening nearby, and there's usually a lot.

How often do you engage with BTS content on social media? Everyday. My Twitter is essentially my main channel for keeping up with current news, so I'm never too far away from updates.

Have you ever won a BTS-related contest or giveaway? No, also because I've never really joined any.

Do you collect BTS merchandise? Yes. These days I'm prioritizing Chapter 2 releases, so I'm just waiting for Jungkook's album to come out; after that I might take a break from collecting. It's not like a lot will be released til 2025 anyway, but I also don't feel like resuming my album collection just yet.

Have you ever traveled to South Korea to visit BTS-related places? I've been to South Korea, but not for BTS. That's the plan for the next time I visit though.

How has BTS positively influenced your life? They reintroduced hope to me and they've also led me to a lot of great people who've ended up as my close friends. I also want to keep doing well in life because of them – like days can get awful, but I've been a lot better with keeping an "it'll pass," or "just start over tomorrow" mindset thanks to them.

The journey is more than just being a fan. I actually want to be better and healthier for myself because of them.

Have you engaged in BTS-related charity work or donation campaigns? Yes, I've donated to a lot of local fundraisers done in the name of ARMY. Currently there's a Match A Billion initiative that I'm planning to partake in as well.

Have you ever used BTS lyrics as inspiration for your life? Oh yeah. My favorite these days is, "Future's gonna be okay."

Do you think BTS has made a positive impact on the world? In some aspects yes, but I don't think it's fair to them to think of them solely in those terms. They never set out to, like, transform the world or be the spokesperson for global diplomacy or whatever so it can be frustrating when people have that kind of expectation for them, but then jeer on them when they're slated to have a speech at the fucking UN.

That being said, what I want to say is they've made a positive impact in areas they've directly helped pave – like bringing K-pop into the mainstream market, local ARMY chapters all over the world doing regular fundraisers, increasing the interest in Korean culture, etc.

Which BTS album concept do you like the most? I love the LY series because it can be interpreted in so many ways. If the songs teach you self-love, great! If you think of the work as an ode to the members considering they nearly broke up at the time, go for it! If the lyrics are kinda romantic and you want to dedicate them to your partner, that's cute go you!

How do you feel about BTS's global success? I want nothing else but for them to be happy and to never lose themselves in the process of going up, and up, and up. I'll always be proud, of course, but I trust them to take breaks the moment they feel overwhelmed or devoid of inspiration, like what's happening now.

Do you follow BTS's achievements on music charts and awards? Well not all awards cos there's like, a billion of them, but I definitely keep track. Same with the charts.

How has BTS inspired you in your personal or professional life? They make me excited about life! I want to keep trying new things. New food. New sensations like sitting at a park for two hours straight, or attending a pottery class. I'm way more extroverted than I've ever been my whole life. I like talking to people and letting them share and share and share away. They've instilled a certain confidence in me that I also get to apply at work. Things like that.

Do you think BTS has paved the way for more Korean artists in the global music industry? They've objectively had the biggest and longest impact – this I can easily argue; but I generally veer away from using that rallying cry as I feel it undermines what their seniors did before them . BTS brought Korean (even Asian) artists into the mainstream, made it normal for Korean-language songs and albums to top charts, sparked global interest in Korean cuisine...but if it weren't for high school Namjoon and Yoongi getting fueled by Epik High or pre-debut Jimin idolizing BIGBANG, then the inspiration to be the BTS of today probably wouldn't be as intense.

Have you ever tried to replicate a BTS member's fashion look? Not a particular one but in general I've tried buying more oversized and baggy stuff because of them.

Do you own any clothing or accessories inspired by BTS? Yes, I have a few fanmade shirts.

What is your favorite BTS red carpet or performance outfit? END ME

How do you describe the bond between BTS and ARMY (their fans)? I think it's the biggest thing that sets the boys apart from the rest of the other groups. The relationship is just heartwarmingly strong, built entirely on trust. I don't know how else I can put it. It needs noting that the boys were facing an absurd amount of death threats, extremely offensive personal attacks, coordinated black oceans, etc...from people who didn't like them for reasons that didn't even exist. The hatred was/is on a different level it reached a point that they've acknowledged it a bunch of times (even to this day) lmao, and that whole time they only had the fans. Because of those fans who stayed and fought til the end, it only made the bond tighter; I'm one of the newer fans who gets to enjoy the calmness of today, which was only made possible because of the fans who did the dirty work up until a few years ago. Now, honestly, each of them feels like a friend I can rant to or that I can share what I had for dinner to.

What does being an ARMY mean to you? I'm very grateful to be a part of it. I've never seen a community that cares so much about just everything. Not all the fans are gonna be great but I do see the ones that make it a point to do good things, and I feel a sense of pride and protection about that.

Have you ever participated in a fan project for BTS? Not yet, although I've always wanted to. I've never been able to see any of the calls for the projects! They never make it to my timeline so I'll usually just see the end result already.

Do you have BTS-related tattoos or fan art? I don't have any tattoos, but the designs I've long had in mind are BTS-related.

How do you think BTS has changed the K-pop industry? They were the first to leverage on social media the way they did – as far as I know; definitely feel free to correct me if I got it wrong. But the fact that they did vlogs pre-debut, then started the Bangtan Bombs all the way from June 2013, to regularly checking in with their fans on Twitter and the fancafe for sure set the modern-day standard of groups conversing with fans. There's so many other ways they've changed the game but I feel like this has to be one of the biggest ones.

What do you think sets BTS apart from other K-pop groups? I love this question because I've been asking this myself. If it were up to me though I'd chalk it up to their sincerity, and that's in every sense of the word. They've always been very genuine with their relationships with the fans, genuine with one another in that I've never seen a closer bond with any other group, genuine in the music they make – they've made it a point from the very beginning to write lyrics that they want to write about. For me it's a combination of all these factors, different yet rooted in the same authenticity, that's pushed them to go as far as they have.

How do you feel about BTS's collaborations with international artists? It depends on the artist. Most I think have been very sweet and genuine with the collaboration, like Halsey, Steve Aoki, and Megan Thee Stallion. Others are kind of a question mark lol like Charlie Puth who seems to just be using the name of BTS for clout...then there are others that we just don't acknowledge like Sia for that unnecessary On remix and Jason Derulo who is just an ass.

Have you watched BTS's documentary series, such as "Burn the Stage" or "Break the Silence"? Of course. The fight between Taehyung and Jin was one of the very first clips I watched of the boys so it just made sense for me to watch the docuseries. I've seen the solo documentaries too, of Hobi and Yoongi.

Do you follow BTS-related fan theories and speculations? Not really. Never was a big fan of analyzing theories to begin with.

What is your favorite BTS fan theory? I don't have any.

Have you ever contributed to a fan theory or discussion? No.

How has BTS's music helped you during difficult times? There are songs that I heard at the right time, like just when I needed to be told certain words. My best example would be hearing Life Goes On when I had been going through a low point; I heard the chorus play for the first time and the tears uncontrollably came out all at once. What I'm saying is that I like that their lyrics are not necessarily cheery, but they provide a sense of comfort rooted in reality, and it's that kind of lyricism that I get inspiration from. They'll be the first to say that yes life is shit and that's supposed to happen and we're not gonna baby you about it, but you have it in you to make it better.

Have you ever participated in a BTS-related mental health initiative? I don't think I have.

Have you learned or improved a language because of BTS? I guess so! I already had working knowledge of Korean prior to me discovering BTS, but I have used their songs to train my reading skills. I'll sing along to songs reading the Hangul lyrics instead of the romanized ones to practice, and I can say it's helped me a ton.

How do you feel about BTS singing in different languages? I honestly don't have an opinion because I leave that shit up to them haha. They can work on whatever language they're happy working on.

What is your most prized BTS merchandise item? All of them are very valuable to me in their own ways.

Do you have a collection of BTS photocards? I have a collection, yeah, but I don't collect, per se. I used to but I grew out of it, and the only reason I have a collection at all is because all albums and DVDs come with them.

Have you ever met friends through your shared love of BTS? For sure, both in real life and at work. I don't like making friends online because social media is so toxic and people can drop you in a flash for no reason whatsoever.

How do you handle any negativity or criticism directed towards BTS? I largely ignore because most people who would direct negativity at them have no actual ammunition and only hate for the sake of hating, but I can definitely become protective if it gets too personal. I'm also not opposed to criticizing the boys myself if I sense that they're doing something questionable, although this has only happened once when I got pissed with Namjoon for posting a Chris Brown song lol.

How do you feel about BTS promoting diversity and self-acceptance? Is it supposed to make me feel any other way than good and proud? Hahaha of course I love seeing them use their platform for a greater good.

Have you been inspired by BTS's messages of self-love and self-acceptance? Very much so.

How do you feel during a BTS comeback teaser period? Excited in ways that words can never express. I can only imagine how insane the next comeback in 2025/26 would be.

What is your favorite BTS comeback era? I've only experienced a couple! But Butter was SO much fun because it just felt like a huge party hahaha. They had so many lives pre- and post-release and the fandom was just hitting one record after another...it was so so so so fun.

Which member's teaser images do you anticipate the most? That's not how it works here. I get excited for everyone's. :)

Have you ever tried producing music or covers inspired by BTS? Nope.

Do you have a favorite BTS producer or songwriter? Not really. I mean they already have their internal circle of producers that regularly work with them, and seeing any of those names on their credits is enough to make me giddy about releases.

How do you engage with BTS on social media platforms? On Twitter and Weverse, yeah. Occasionally I'd shoot a DM for funsies even though they have theirs closed.

Have you ever trended a BTS-related hashtag on Twitter? I don't really take part in the hashtag parties, so no.

Which BTS tweet or post has made you laugh the most? I think it was Namjoon who posted the tweet of a behind the scenes photo during the Butter music video shoot and Yoongi happened to be caught in the background yawning. Then Yoongi replied with something like "why didn't you blur me out" and it made me like for a couple of minutes straight lol

What is your favorite BTS member's solo work or side projects? I've loved all their works. Indigo is a personal favorite, but I've enjoyed everything each member has put out.

Have you watched BTS's individual vlogs or personal content? Of course. The support is in full force whether they're 1 or 7.

Have you ever participated in BTS-related charity drives? Not yet but I'm planning to join the ongoing Match A Billion initiative.

Have you attended any BTS fan events or fan meetings? I never joined them because I don't get my merch directly from Weverse Shop, so it's not like I'll ever be qualified for one.

Do you have a favorite BTS dance performance? Mic Drop and Dionysus are my favorites; and even though the choreo is quite soft for today's standards I do have a soft spot for Boy In Luv.

Have you ever learned a BTS dance routine? I mean I never learned the way a dancer would because I don't dance, but I have most of their choreo memorized simply by watching a hundred performances of each song hahaha.

How do you feel about BTS's affection and appreciation for their fans? The same way they do us – grateful with always a tinge of guilt.

Have you ever received a personal message or interaction from BTS on social media? LOL that's never going to happen and I prefer it stays that way.

How do you think BTS stays connected to their fans despite their global fame? They are consistent about many things, the connection to fans being the biggest. I feel like we'll be the first to call them out if anyone's head gets too big too, lmao.

How do you feel about BTS's collaborations with fashion brands? I mostly can't relate because they're mostly luxury brands that I can't afford, but I do get excited for the fans when a member starts to endorse something a little bit on the more affordable side, like CK and Fila. I'm not a big shopper myself so I haven't gotten anything from CK, though.

Do you own any BTS-endorsed fashion items or cosmetics? Not endorsements, but I have gotten clothing merch that is directly under their line.

What is your favorite BTS behind-the-scenes video or documentary moment? Well I will always hold a soft spot for the fight between Taehyung and Jin; I'm surprised it even made it at all to the final cut but at the same time I appreciate how they basically allowed everyone to see what it's really like behind the scenes and how they will inevitably butt heads sometimes.

Do you anticipate BTS's future film or drama projects? Of course. I know the newest OT7 one will be out on Disney+ by December and I think Jimin has his own docu coming out as well, so I'm excited for both.

What BTS achievement or milestone are you most proud of? The South Korean Order of Cultural Merit. I'm a big history/culture buff so that alone makes me prouder of whatever achievement they've achieved in the west.

Have you ever celebrated BTS's birthdays or anniversaries? Sure. I don't like, get a cake or whatever LOL, but I usually am in a celebratory mood every time there's a birthday.

Do you plan to support BTS's future endeavors? They will never be able to get rid of me. :)

namjoon:

physical affection/words of affirmation

okay so i said physical affection for one bc like he seem to like initiate contact with people around him a lot

like in interviews he be having his hand on whoever next to him thigh or like when he be performing if it’s someone next to him he throws his arms around them a lot

not to mention like whenever jimin or jk or whoever start feeling up on him he never rejects it or makes a face or anything like yoongi does he just accepts it

like there’s so many stage clips where jimin will come and rest his chin on joon’s shoulder and he just lets him

or jk will just start touching on him some way grabbing his arms or sumn and it doesn’t phase him at all

another example is like on day 2 of sowoozoo when tae randomly came and linked arms with him and hobi during mikrokosmos hobi was like 🥴🥴 but joon was just 😌

and then there was that magic shop muster moment when jk was talking about how much he loved joon and how he was his beginning you know as president of the joon fan club does and namjoon couldn’t help but to go over and give his number one admirer a hug you know the moment

same thing with compliments he lowkey be eating them up

like you know how whenever hobi gets complimented he be like “😶 don’t say those things” joon don’t do that

like when they was asked to take their jackets off during the butter shoot and namjoon was like yeah okay and everyone started hyping him up and he was just 💁🏼‍♂️😜

and again on day 2 sowoozoo when he pushed his hair back from his forehead and everyone went OHHHHHSWJJSJS SEXY NAMJOON and then he decided to murder us all by tilting his head back on top of that adding insult to injury i would insert the picture but for my mental health i will not

and again whenever they talk about him being such a great leader he never shies away from it doesn’t cringe always accepts it so you know it must mean a lot for him to hear those things

aside from that tho he’s such a poetic person

like he is definitely involved in an intimate affair with language so there’s no way he wouldn’t appreciate you verbally telling him how he makes you feel

like just think about how many times he’s said he wants to sit down with each army and listen to their story

that being said if this was your man i think you’d definitely have to both show and tell him how you feel

like if he was about to head out for work you definitely got to kiss him before he leaves

and if you on the phone with him the last words you’re saying are i love you

alright so ngl the reason i said acts of service for seokjin is like almost 100% based on his reaction to tae setting up that birthday event for him where he had his friends send him messages

he talked about it for WEEKS like he was genuinely so moved that i just like he has to love it

and then there’s like how much he bothers jk to like do simple stuff like i’m specifically thinking about that one moment in bon voyage 4 when he was sitting down at the table and called jk to help him up

and then there’s also little things he does for others like when he peeled tae’s tangerines for him or when he offered to feed yoongi bc he was driving or how he always offers bites of his food before even gets a chance to taste it

now i say words of affirmation bc he always searching for a compliment

my minds going to when jk hurt his foot and jin was pushing him in the wheelchair and kept feeding him lines to say about how he was such a good hyung and how he loves him

or in the behind the scenes for the boy with luv video and he kept tryna get tae to compliment him for being witty

and my boy never misses a chance to introduce himself as worldwide handsome

even though he does a lot of those things jokingly there are moments when he’s serious too about giving compliments and shy when he receives them like in those be interviews when he called jk a singing genius and jungkook was talking about how he had the most range and he got all ☺️☺️

or that moment from in the soop when he was comforting yoongi about like not having regrets and when yoongi told him he wanted to be like him just those kinds of moments let me know words are important to him

which just made me remember how hard he tries with his lyrics and how important they are to him like when he was writing awake and he talked about how he kept getting rejected but he was super insistent bc it was important for him to sing the words he wrote and don’t even get me started on moon i just-

anyway jin done said many times he is a man of the present so if you’re with him you gotta actively show/tell him

listen as much as this man loves spending time alone the time he spends with others means a lot to him

like how he always go fishing with jin even tho he ain’t particularly fond of it

or how like in in the soop he had made plans to play games with jimin and did so extensively

also from in the soop when he had spent most of his day outside reading but then he had heard everyone starting to make the theme song and immediately ran to get his equipment to record and what not

not to mention his poem from the end of that one run episode where they went on like a mini trip or whatever and he was like “what a relief that we have seven members. what a relief that we have each other.”

like being all together is important to him

like i just think about that one scene from one of they movies ion remember which one but they were all gathered around the table and it was when he had told them how he actually hurt his shoulder and they was talking about how they was worried about jk and how he need to come out his room and it’s not even the content of the scene but just like the fact that he ain’t have to be there but he was

and also can’t neglect to mention how he whined for y e a r s about how ain’t nobody come to visit him on set when he was filming the videos for his first mixtape like mans wouldn’t let that go and then how touched he was when they made appearances on his daechwita set even if he couldn’t express it properly

and how he begged for them to make cameos in the video and how happy he was when jin and jk did

and he doesn’t ever forget to mention whenever him and hobi hang out he’s like yeah we went for a drink and dinner and talked and blah blah

he loves it when people make an effort to be around him

now acts of service i got this all on a whim okay like… listen… we all been there we have all watched an ideal type video on youtube don’t lie okay

and up there it be like he want someone to bring him food in the studio and take care of him and stuff like that and in this case the math maths

like how in the army corner store festa video when asked to bring something meaningful to them he brought those figurines which was the first gift a fan gifted him

which makes me think about how those limited edition figurines dropped and hobi was like i need to get one for namjoon and then namjoon was like i need to get one for hobi and so they ended up with like two of them or something like that

also from festa in the little photo booth mission every time he won a prize he was like yaaasss omg and was thinking of ways to put it to use like when he got that picture frame he immediately stuck them film strips in it he probably got it hanging in his room or in his studio by now tbh

and i think it was on the canada run bts episode where jk bought him those slippers and he was super happy

even when they were in hawaii and him and jin were hungry on the bus and he asked jin for gummies like ofc jin had to get on his nerves first but when he finally gave him his snacks he went from 😐 to 😚

or how he still has that change purse that namjoon bought him in malta (probably still got the money in there too tbh)

speaking of malta got me thinking about how tae went out of his way to win hobi that flamingo bc he said he’d never seen one and when tae gave it to him he went parading it around telling everyone that tae won it for him and then said he was gonna put it in his studio

and he got that chicken leg pillow they gave him from you quiz on the couch in his studio

and i think it was from the 2020 winter package he was so happy when jin bought him those ugly little troll elf things with the hat you know what i’m talking about

and he commented like three times when jungkook drew that picture of him for his birthday

and we know mans be giving gifts too

like how he got yoongi that coffee truck on the set of daechwita

and when they were on the speak yourself tour and he went out shopping on a day off and bought jin a sweater or something

and how he slaved through like 2 or 3 lives making bracelets for the members and then gave it to them on the bang bang con live

and the most devastating one of all when they had to give each other gifts i think it was on the run episode with all the water games but i could be wrong anyway and like most of them gave each other gag gifts like their merch or whatever but hobi gave jimin (and the rest of the members) a cd for his song promise it had a little photo book in it and everything 😭😭😭

so like whoever gets with this fine specimen gon have to throw a few dollars together to make sure this man is kept

not really i’m sure he doesn’t expect you to sell your car for a gucci peacoat or your soul for a rolex

but if you did decide to save up for some time to get him a little extravagant gift i know he’d more than appreciate it

more often than not though it’d be the little things that got to him like if you bought a simple t shirt from the store but then kinda like upcycled it drew little doodles on it wrote “i’m your hope” somewhere on it there would definitely be a picture uploaded of him on weverse or twitter wearing it

or if you decided to compile the pictures of you two together into a scrapbook or something he’d keep it somewhere accessible like in a drawer in his desk in his studio and flip through it with a little smile on his face when he’s missing you

and even if it was something even smaller than that like say he mentioned in passing that like idk he was out of eggs or something and you bought him some he just might marry you

the first thing that comes to mind with this for jimin is how he comforts his boys

like there’s so many behind the scenes clips from tour where like jk or tae will be upset with their performance and crying and jimin would be the one to come up behind them and hug them and wipe their tears

same concept for that one moment in bon voyage 3 when they told him that tae was crying and he just kinda hugged him and wiped his tears and hovered around him to make sure he was okay

or when they left hobi at the gas station in bon voyage 4 and then went back to pick him up he still hugged hobi even as he was laughing evilly

also in bon voyage 4 when they went on that helicopter tour and they was on the mountain and him and tae tackled each other and was rolling in the snow

and he is just like always in jk arms like he just jumps on him for no reason like in that video where lee hyun is acting as one of bts’ management

also in the behind from i think when they were practicing for the 2019 bbmas i believe at some point jungkook was holding that man spinning him in circles or sumn like that

and there’s also that one comeback show when him and tae were in the comic book cafe and they were just cuddled up together looking at tae’s phone practicing english i think

and on that one joon live when him and tae crashed and just caused a whole lot of commotion i’m pretty sure at one point they were cuddled on the couch and then jimin told tae his breath stinks and tae proceeded to open his mouth over the air purifier

anyway clearly he is a man with hands

but he also is someone who loves to spend time together it’s important to him

like i just think about how when they had their “break” back in 2019 he talked about how he just traveled the entire time and he went with various friends and family

and i’m pretty sure it was bon voyage 3 when they were doing their friendship trips and trying to make fresh pairings or whatever he was like i don’t think there’s any surprising pairing with me and it’s like… that’s true

like you got minimoni, minimini, jikook etc… all tried tested and true man gets around his band

and he’s the main one who’s always like “yeah bro we should live in the dorms until we’re 50”

and he always talks about how he can’t be alone and how he’s always gotta be doing something with someone

and his lives!!! his lives!!!! when he spends time with us it’s always so intimate and personable

like you can’t tell me that i ain’t have dinner with him and jin after a show in the hotel room and we drank off camera even after the staff told us we couldn’t 😤🤚

there’s also that time he went live and someone said they had some kind of condition and then he took it upon himself to look it up and try to find treatments

so for this mans i just feel like you just gotta really be with him

specifically during let’s bts in their segment within the segment and namjoon was like taehyung the kind of person who grows from compliments

and i ain’t even got the right words to express how i feel about the smile he couldn’t help when hobi had them all tell tae that they like him

not to mention the story he told during the festa video last year about how he always tried his very best to get hobi to praise him and how disappointed he was when hobi didn’t get it

and i may be tripping but didn’t like earlier this year he didn’t post on weverse or twitter for like a month or so because he wanted to keep seeing us say how much we miss him???

and in bon voyage season 2 when they had to write letters to each other and he wrote his to jimin and then cried when he read it

there’s also a moment in bon voyage 4 when he and rm were about to sleep in the same space and he asked joon if he could cuddle him and joon was like 🥴🤚 how bout no and tae was like you do like me right? and rm was like yeah of course but let’s not cuddle bro

also in that weverse magazine interview they did he talked about how depressed he got when they weren’t able to perform and he only felt happy for a while when he was able to communicate with us

and in turn he’s very verbally supportive as well

like at that one fan sign they was talking about bon voyage and they asked army which season they liked better 1 or 2 and someone said 1 and taehyung was like “😐 now why would you say that bc namjoon won’t even in that” even though really it was only like 1 or 2 episodes he missed out on

and like he’s always hyping seokjin up like when they were doing the map of the soul 7 comeback live and jin was talking about how he wasn’t a good dancer and taehyung was like 😡 don’t say that bc it’s not true you’re good and you always been good

and in the let’s bts thing again it was important for him to let jimin know that he likes him best like they really are best friends y’all 😭

and when he talks about how much he loves suga’s raps

and that moment in the soop when he set up a date for him and jungkook to talk out whatever tension they had or whatever

and how during those individual be interviews he had hobi flustered when he complimented his passion for music

i’ll take this moment to mention the jinkook moment that lives in my head rent free for no valid reason it’s from the life goes on countdown video where they were reading the post cards and he was wearing that big pink sweatshirt and jin was wearing that pink and black bomber jacket and jk just grabbed jin’s arm and held onto it and played with it and when he was done he just threw it away i… i think about that moment a lot there’s an entire section in both my head and heart dedicated to that moment anyway continuing on

i’ll talk about that time they were backstage for a show and they had them blow up mattresses and suga was minding his business resting and jk just rolled up and moved his legs and laid beside him and then hobi decided to pile on top

and whenever they’re on stage he’s always the most delighted when joon would suggest a hug he’d be the first one over there nose scrunched up giggling he loves it

there’s also many instances in interviews and lives where he just can’t keep him hands to himself

just like that last butter live when tae ended up with a crown of forks thanks to mr kook

and he never misses an opportunity to feel up joon

which makes me remember that time he kissed namjoon on the forehead

and he is just always carrying jimin for some reason

so in conclusion… physical affection

and if he was your mans you’d be on the frontlines of receiving all he has to give

not necessarily in public or around a lot of people but in a space where you both were comfortable yes

you’d just have to accept that when you’re standing around he’s going to give you a shoulder/neck/back massage for no particular reason

and he will latch onto you in different positions for extended periods of time

and you gotta do the same! like that’s your man! go give him a hug! a kiss! let him know you love him

sometimes i forget that words hold weight. i just read the words instead of having them sink in. maybe that's why i'm adoring the journey i have rn of reading bts lyrics; as of now i'm obsessing over outro: tear bc all of the rapline's different styles just jump out and blend well?? just love how like namgi have different pronunciations and meaning to the word tear and the intensity hobi has with his theme of fear. just so good? also sobbing over still with you bc jungkook's such a great writer? his descriptions are so vivid and i absolutely adore his mind. the line This subtle noise from the air conditioner, If I don’t even have this, I think I’ll break down. (lyrics from doolsetbangtan). just the outright implication that the hum of the air-con's the only thing that has a grip on his sanity. ugh, masterful. also!! will never move one from namjoon's "i'm ill" from dis-ease, which proves his mastery of both english and korean hhhh. the different meanings of ill which can be; one for korean, sick as in cool or sick as in illness. just ughh. just ever since pre-debut, wtf. how are these men so talented? especially the rapline omg. namjoon participating in rap battles since he was like 14? and wining? yoongi too!! with his lyrics ughh, he's so honest and raw in his lyrics (i love him bye). and how hobi (this man is so talented wtf) utilizes the sound of words to emphasize his flow bc of his background of dance too which contributes so much to his rapping. (and also the double meanings found in his lyrics wtf (yes, i'm looking at daydream specifically) i wanna compliment all the members now bc all of them are so skilled and talented when it comes to the art of music?? it's obvious how much they care abt the music they put out? honestly still shook over how jin literally started from nothing and now has such a timeless and velvet voice and HE WROTE A SONG ABOUT HIS PETS PLS and his love for music is just so admirable. jimin, oh my god jimin, he needs to release more solo music, pls his lyrics from lie are so guttural and punch me in the throat all the time. taehyung!! look at him go plsss,, just adore how he writes in english and his usage of nature when it comes to imagery <3333. and jungkook, this man, ughhh this man. he just exceptional. just realized how big this rant ended up being and i still wanna say some more but whatever. what about you rosie? are there are any lyrics from the tannies that make you feel so much emotions? i think as of now mine is 134340, rain, trivia; love, outro: tear and magic shop.

[AUTHOR'S NOTE: I have zero clue WTF I'm doing. I have never been to South Korea-- SO! All the places, references and pretty much everything in this hot mess of a daydream is to be taken as FANTASY. Non-reality based, peoples. Secondly, I would like to say that a lot of the material and conversations and opinions you'll find in these pages have been pulled from my last relationship (8 years with a Korean man- SK born but definitely American as all get out) and my ongoing friendships with his family members both living here and there. I just ask them random ass questions and try my best to not let on that i'm asking for BTS fan fic purposes... cause I would never hear the end of it. Big shout outs to my besties @vyduan and @inkbluelily for pumping me with constant encouragement and hyping me up to do the impossible... actually post. ]

---------- Flashback to the beginning, Two years ago --

Navigating the streets in Seoul had finally started to become second nature.

Thank goodness.

Working up the guts to approach a local and ask for help had always tended to be hit or miss. Either people feigned not being able to understand your Korean, pretended to not know any English (though you had heard them speaking it just seconds before) or they completely ignored your pleas for help and started asking you a dozen rapid fire questions about your hair.

So many hair questions.

It's a constant thing here.

You understand the curiosity. Your curls are on point and frankly, pretty damn fabulous. But people apparently have a negative grasp on the concept of personal space when it comes to foreigners, yet they heed to the utmost levels of hesitation and bodily respect when it comes to physical contact with one another.

But a black girl trying to find the shoe repair shop that’s supposed to be on the corner?

What do her boundaries matter?

One second it's "Oh! You're so dark!" and then that phrase is (9 times out of 10) immediately followed by a darting hand grasping for those shiny springs of kinky wonder and magic.

You’re used to it. No offense taken because… let's be real. You would be offended all the time if you let silly things like their inquisitiveness get to you like that.

And the people here always seem so shocked when they realize you’re able to speak a bit of their language. You assume it’s mostly because they realize that you can understand what they’ve been saying about you in front of your face. Some apologize. Some don’t. Some just politely backpedal and compliment you for attempting to learn Korean at all.

You’re not by any means fluent just yet. You’ve got the basic Seoul dialect pronunciation down but still have a terrible grasp of the grammar structure... but, hey.

At least you try.

You crossed the last congested intersection, a smile stretching across your face while (not) blending in with the flock of despondent souls en route to start the work day. You all, like bees in a swarm, buzzed through the landscaped courtyard, past the lunch stands prepping their menus and tents for service in the afternoon. You, in your merry mood, took a moment to beam up at the massive (and massively intimidating) building that stretched skyward in front of you.

You were lucky enough to have been offered a position as a production assistant at KBSMedia around eleven months ago. It's afforded you opportunities that you could only have dreamed of back home stateside. At the price of your loneliness? Totally, but still very much worth it in the long run. You’ve met countless Korean celebrities, idols, been a part of the crew for two hit drama programs and now, (a drumroll seems fitting here--) finally.

This glorious, low dust and pollutant filled air-quality morning marks day one of a new chapter for both your career and your status within the company ranks.

It's almost unheard of.

Seriously. It’s maybe the second or third time in Korean broadcasting history. You still get a little choked up at the thought of it all.

Today is the day in which you will take a rightfully-earned, long-awaited and over-due, monumental first step on that path leading to a place in front of a camera lens and into the spotlight.

You.

A [COUGH] relatively young, black, American woman.

Here.

In one of the palest countries a person could possibly imagine.

Halfway--

No.

Literally on the other side of the planet.

When the network gave the “OK” for your director's "out of left field" idea to cast you (he personally delivered the news to you with many air quotes and hand gestures) in this thought provoking, meticulously scripted and groundbreaking role… to say that you were shocked would be the understatement of the century.

All the same, you were beyond grateful for the opportunity and more than ready.

Ready to play the best damn "comic-relief roommate of the female lead who basically only says 'Annyeonghaseyo' from the apartment couch, usually with an absurd amount of food in her mouth, providing visual gags with charm and conveying affection and friendly support for the main character" that the South Korean film industry has ever seen.

You even get to improv.

In your pocket are two degrees to backup your talent. You majored in Theatre (with a concentration in Acting) and then continued your graduate studies while pursuing your dreams in New York and rotating through multiple (expensive) performance and film classes.

Cliche.

You are aware.

How you’ve ended up doing so much dang production work, you’re not one hundred percent sure. You had come to realize after hearing "No, but thank you for your time today" so much that that must just be the nature of the business in the most competitive audition field in entertainment.

They say, “You get in where you fit in and you fake it till you make it”.

Even if that mantra takes you across the globe.

"Annyeong, ____-ah! How was your weekend?"

"Lonesome but productive. Just studied at home and dreamt about all the chicken and beer nights I’m going to miss at your place from now on. I’m pretty much off book, though. So, there’s that,” you shrugged and smiled with a wiggle of your dark brows. “How's she coming along, ah jeo-ssi?"

This “older” man, your friend, was the single nicest soul at KBS.

Seung Woo was the daytime front desk security guard. He prefers the term security agent so the position sounds more stealthy and cool. He likes to give off a Bond vibe while working and wears a full suit most days. Steamed creases and all, courtesy of his wife.

It is not required for him to be this extra, that’s for sure.

But this guy, right here? He knows just about every employee in the building. Just like the classic, dashing spy would in a blockbuster movie. He sees all. Knows all. Only really likes a few of these ‘show-biz’ types that pass him by without so much as giving him eye contact (which is how you bonded) but for some reason he took to taking care of you like an uncle, more so than a big brother.

It’s sweet considering if you were back in America you would be considered practically the same age, but here at work? You love getting to use the formal honorifics. You can tell he appreciates the respect.

Though, when off the clock he will enforce the “oppa” card.

Which you enjoy far less.

Because cringe.

He only bests you by a few years. He recently turned 34, but it’s 35 when tracking his life span the Korean way.

You’re turning 31 this fall.

And that’s a good, old-fashioned (or possibly “good new-fashioned”, because honestly? What the hell do you know? You’re still just a kid in the grand scheme of things if you consider the current average life expectancy of an active, healthy, non-smoking, adult female like yourself...)

So, yeah. The point? Right.

You’re turning a plain ol’, solid, traditional for the western hemisphere, starting post-utero, only counting from your first breath, “don’t anyone dare think about adding an extra digit to your years if they value having all of their teeth and toes”-- 31.

You’re clinging to your youth with all you’ve got. Both hands. Maybe your thighs too. You weren’t blessed with this melanin-infused baby face for nothing.

And you were grateful for Seung Woo’s face, just the same. When you started, there was a good stretch when he was the only smile you’d come across until it was time to clock out and head home to FaceTime with your family. You’ve had a friendly banter going ever since your first day when you swiped your ID for clearance through the shiny turnstiles. You’ve been helping him and his partner learn more English in exchange for the daily lessons on how to survive in this building and in this country. You would've given up here long ago if not for his advice and their friendship.

"She's getting bigger by the second. Look," he said and deftly whipped his phone out of it's holster on his hip to show off his wonderfully pregnant spouse.

Yea, he really uses one of those belt clips. The last time you saw one was on your father.

Despite this fashion faux pas, Seung Woo was still handsome as all get-out and a total DILF in the making.

His wife, Chaeyeong, was a former idol who fell for his charismatic smile and bashful eyes whenever she had a schedule at the studios. She had been caught making eyes at him by a photog one too many times (aka, one time) and when her group's contract was up for renewal, she and her company “mutually decided to part ways so that she could pursue other endeavors outside of the pressures from the spotlight that comes with idoldom”.

Or at least that was the story DSP’s PR team came up with in the statement they dropped to the media. In reality, they didn’t want to bother dealing with the dating rumors and Chae didn’t think staying was worth an innocent man with a beautiful heart being dragged through the mud by netizens. So, she jumped ship and went for it. Now, she’s one of the co-hosts on a variety program where they dish out love advice to viewers and she’s been embraced by (most of) the public for following her heart.

While she may be widely considered the prize of the pair to the untrained eye, personally, you think she's a smart young lady for taking him off the market.

Because that man treats her like a queen.

"She's simply radiant, Seung Woo-ssi."

"Thanks, I know,” he said, clipping his phone back into place. “We couldn't handle it anymore and we found out the gender Saturday. I wanted to tell you in person."

"We couldn’t handle it?” you snickered.

“Fine. Me.”

“There you go,” you nodded and smacked his back affectionately. “You made it to 8 months. Honestly, I’m shocked."

This was how you guys worked.

He laughed, ignoring your snide tone, not the least bit put off by your jab about his lack of patience. It was an indisputable fact. You prompted him to continue with a light tap to his arm. "Well?"

His exuberance shined all the way up to his glistening eyes and it felt as though it would burst through the top of his head like the bat signal.

He truly beamed. It was almost blinding.

"Really? It’s a boy?!"

"I could cry!" Seung Woo was unable to contain himself, his body bobbing on the balls of his feet. Any more force and he would actually be jumping for joy, if you will. It was disgustingly cute. He had been praying their first child would be a boy.

Most men over here seem to want male heirs.

“Could cry?” you gave him a look of disbelief, grinning.

He met your eyes. There was no way he could hold out. His whole body sighed in defeat.

“I did cry.”

“That all?”

You placed your hands on each of his shoulders to pull him down closer for inspection. You leaned in towards his face with your dark eyes, sharp as a blade, cutting him deep for the real story.

Which you basically had the gist of already. There were many texts from Chae earlier this morning requesting that you keep an eye on her emotional hubby and asking you for confirmation that he was okay once you spoke to him. She was careful not to spoil the news of the appointment. Though Chaeyeong was your friend too, she knew this would be something that he would want to share with you first.

“Ok, fine. So, I cried. A lot. Aish, I couldn’t stop crying. I cried like a baby. Snotty gross crying. All weekend. At the drop of hat ever since we found out. I couldn’t even start the car leaving the doctor’s and Chae-Chae had to drive us home from the office. She made me take the bus today to be safe because she didn’t trust me to not break down in traffic if a stroller passed me at a stoplight. I only just pulled myself together a few hou-- minutes ago before you got here after sobbing at the bus stop, sobbing at the breakfast truck, sobbing at my locker and sobbing in the bathroom. I had to run out before the team pre-shift meeting because-- surprise, surprise!-- I was a mess when Hee-hyung brought up his son’s birthday party yesterday. I’ve had to go back to the bathroom twice since then just because a baby in overalls and a shark hat was carried by the desk. I’m doing my best with every breath that I take not to scream it out at the top of my lungs that my beautiful wife that I don’t deserve is giving me a son and I feel like the king of the world!! Happy?!”

Seung Woo inhaled deeply and you snorted and clapped your hands.

"CONGRATULATIONS!!"

He let out a sort of squeal-like sound at that and the two of you bounced together in a tiny circle, your celebration possibly a little bit too buoyant for the employees passing by you, drawing attention and some passersby grimacing in your direction. Remembering your place, you broke apart, him coughing into his fist to cover his proud simper and you took to readjusting his jacket and tie.

"I can't wait to come down later and chat but I can't be late today,” you said as you brushed his shoulder off and then pounded that fist that he was now stretching out to you.

“You’re going to kill it, ____-ah.”

“Thanks, Woo-ssi. Oh, and I definitely want a copy of that new ultrasound for my refrigerator!" you stage-whispered loudly to him as you took a blind step back and then started to skip backwards towards the parallel lines of elevators. The lobby around you was noticeably more clear than just a few moments ago. Seung Woo was deep in his own world, pulling out his wallet to stare at the black and white blob of a photo of his unborn.

You paused to watch him fondly before skipping backwards some more.

"We need to take a picture of all three of us, you know. Or I guess now it’s four!!--”

Man down.

Well… "Woman down".

Wait--

Nope. "Man down", too.

You had taken a hostage to the floor with you and he was trapped under your flailing limbs and coif of curls.

"OH! Oh my God, I’m sorry! I’m so sorry!" you stammered over and over as you attempted dismounting the lap of the man you had fallen on top of so gracefully.

Obviously, that is a lie.

There was nothing graceful about this moment.

"I'm so sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going and I was just so excited for my friend and--"

A set of hands gripped your waist tightly to steady you and before you could register that they were connected to the person beneath you, Seung Woo's arms were under your own and helping to lift you onto your feet.

Once up on your shaking stems, you immediately hitched your body into a bow towards the gentleman on the marble tile.

This was embarrassing.

And awkward.

You were all of the “awkward”.

All of it.

Every little bit of what comes together to define that which is “awkward”?

That’s you.

Right now.

And your anxiety will probably never let you forget it.

You’ll be at your wedding about to say “I do”-- or maybe this will leave you shook when you’re cutting your cake and you drop a chunk of buttercream on the floor-- so you look down to make sure you missed your dress-- and that’s when you notice the fake marble dance floor sticker tiles and they look just like this floor that you’re staring at right now-- but your fiance had insisted on them because he’s a “classy guy but cheap” and the vendor gave you a discount because he was Korean and you could speak his language fairly well-- he was actually a really nice guy-- but you’ll see it and panic-- and so you close your eyes and have a PTSD-like flashback of these painful minutes-- but when you squeeze your eyes tighter to clear the images everything is suddenly moving in slo-mo-- and now you’re back to when you were 30 and thriving and living in a foreign country-- and your big, dumb ass just had to knock down an innocent stranger-- and you’ll remember rendering him paralyzed, mute and deaf in his left ear from the concussive impact of his head smacking that cold, hard floor-- which led you to losing your work visa, your chance at an acting career, and you were thrown in jail before being shipped back to the United States in a packing crate in the luggage hull of an airplane-- next to a gassy dog and what you think was an unmarked box of snakes… on a plane.

Or much later in life, you’re going to be old and gray-- but probably with no wrinkles because you never had a reason to smile after this-- and you’ll probably be in a cheap and poorly rated nursing home-- with no friends or family who care about you left in the world-- eating questionable cream of corn soup that is neither sweet nor salty-- just no flavor at all-- and it’s definitely not supposed to be green-- and your teeth will be in a cup on the nightstand next to both your hot pink and your purple SMTWTFS pill popper packs that are stuffed with enough meds to kill a giraffe-- and the nurse on meal service will have forgotten your lime jello and cup of ice AGAIN-- and you will STILL be able to feel the tightness in your chest from this amount of awkward embarrassment that you’re currently feeling in this moment-- and you will STILL be able to replay this memory on repeat in your mind like it happened hours and not years ago-- and it will be in full 186,405K resolution-- which is quadruple HD clarity… because that will be a thing by then.

And when your time comes and you think you can finally be rid of this memory, you’ll be born again-- and you’ll be plagued with flashes of this moment in your dreams in your next life-- and you won’t recognize the faces in the scene but you’ll for HELLA SURE know that that shit looked embarrassing as fuck-- and you’ll probably pay for lots of therapy trying to deal with the nightmares-- until you give up and try to recreate the dream-- and then the cycle of trauma will start again.

Ahem.

Very visibly trembling, you dropped to your knees and clasped your hands in front of you, bending your forehead down to meet them. You couldn't bring yourself to make eye contact with the face of your victim. It’s not like you would have been able to see him from your current angle even if you did look up, what-- with all of your hair blocking your view, but still you didn’t dare.

You heard what you assumed were his hands dusting himself off as his companions helped him up off of the floor. They were all chuckling while looking him over to make sure he was alright. You only had a sliver sized peek of multiple sneakers, some bulky ass boots and loafers with the owner’s heels hanging out, ruining the back of the expensive looking shoes.

That should be considered a crime, even if your feet do look that smooth.

"I can't believe-- I'm so sorry! I'm such an idiot. It'll never happen again. I'll watch where I'm going and be more careful, I swear! I'm so very, very sorry!” you apologized as a man stepped between you and the small crowd of people. You stared at the tile with fear-filled, wide eyes and could almost feel his shadow that cast over you. It matched your darkened spirits that were sending you into a spiral of panic.

You peeked up at the man and stuttered at the sheer width of him. He was wearing all black (or at least his pants, shoes and socks) and he was much larger than you. Very much larger than you. “Is- is he hurt? Oh god, I'll g-get a medic and I can pay for the b-bill. It's the least I should do, right?”

Receiving no response more than his unreadable face, you righted yourself up on to your knees and with a flip, tamed your curls out of your vision, smoothing them back into what you hoped was a presentable style. You contemplated what was going to come of you while fixing the neckline of your blouse and then rubbed your hands nervously over your thighs. You were still unable to see past the man in front of you, as his thighs were in your direct line of sight and thick as hell.

You looked up at him the way you had as a child while awaiting punishment in Catholic School, and he mirrored Sister Agnes’ scowl down upon you to a tee. There was no wooden ruler rapping against his palm. So, with scant confidence in your muscles to assist you, you instead rose from the floor aided by Seung Woo’s shaky hand.

He must’ve been thrown by the accident as well. For a guy trained and trusted to protect and defend people in a crisis, he’s got the nerves of a mouse.

Broad, RBF-man then turned, giving you his back and you read “SECURITY” across his jacket. You stilled in place from his profile as he glared at you over his shoulder and scoffed with a tilt up of his sharp chin.

Hold up. Was that “in disgust”? Seriously?

In your heels you were still a few inches shy of being able to see over this wall of a man as he spat a curse at you.

“Yah, this wasn’t assault or anything. Just an accident,” you looked up in distress, holding your one elbow while the hand of that cradled arm palmed the side of your face. You rolled your eyes and rubbed your temple. “Who is this guy, Woo-ssi?”

He didn’t answer. He was holding his radio earpiece, listening to a call. More than likely about the commotion you had caused. This was not what you needed before your big day. It felt like a bad omen.

“Did I break something, sir? I can drive you to the hospital!” you cupped your hands around your mouth to project past the linebacker blocking you and over the murmur of multiple voices.

“Oppa, I'll need to borrow your car or-- Ah, shit! Of all days for you to take the bus,” you groaned and rubbed both temples.

You whipped your head to Seung Woo as he gasped.

“What? I’m sorry. I was just kidding,” you said as he nodded along to his com. “That was rude of me.”

Having been facing you during the majority of this time, making sure that you were alright and then waving along the nominal foot traffic, Seung Woo redirected his attention to the crowd behind him. He let go of his ear-piece and started to shake his head back and forth rapidly, his face and neck paling. He clasped a palm tightly to his mouth.

“I was in the bathroom crying. I missed the briefing…” he mumbled through his fingers.

“Briefing?”

“I’m sorry, ____-ah. Don’t hit me later, please.”

“No, I’m the one who’s sorry. I swear, I’m sorry-- I’m sorry-- I’m sorry-- I’m sorry to everyone!!"

"Please stop apologizing."

That voice was new.

There were giggles.

Male giggles.

“And for the love of God-- HYUNG! I’m fine. Stop touching my pants. Cut it out already, guys.”

That voice.

You knew that voice.

You had heard it somewhere, at least a million times before, you were sure, but you couldn't pinpoint exactly from where. You hesitantly took a step towards the MIB in front of you just as his figure took a step to the side.

This cannot be your life.

Sometimes I be minding my own business and then it just hits me how Jungkook really edited a video with those lyrics in the background and Jimin's smiles and goofiness all over the place. Like, it's just so loud. Out of all the songs and all the artists, he chose that one.

Some "Armys" don't deserve Jungkook's clever mind and attentiveness to the details. He's a perfectionist. Editing is a hard job, i do some editing for my friends and it takes a lot of time and vision, and let me tell you, as an amateur editor, the music is such an essential part of the final product, it helps conveying certain feelings and just by changing the song, the whole video radiates completely different vibes.

I have the strong impression that not only is JK perceived as this muscled, cheeky maknae but he's also come across almost as some dumb and mindless guy. And it pisses me off, cause he's one of the most thoughtful and deep people in the group. Yeah he's good at a lot of things and has a great body, but he has the softest soul and it's so evident, i don't know how people can't see it more. He's introverted and is not great with words, but this is also the person who wrote Magic Shop. That song is not only a safe space kind of song for fans, it's so much more.

My first impression of him was totally different from how i see him now, not gonna lie. He comes across as shy but playful and cute, but damn is the boy smart and thoughtful. He really is more than he lets us think. He might get treated as the baby of the group sometimes, but i feel like that has changed a bit as of lately. I remember how in the soop the other members kept calling him when they needed help. And not only did he help, he also gave this input, almost as their equal. And he commented on that too, seemingly happy that he was being useful, that people could count on him. He even gave some pieces of advice to Tae when they spoke that night and that was so heart-warming to witness, i love those two.

Jungkook has grown into this amazing human being and I'm so proud of him. I wonder how much he has changed in Jimin's eyes. I hope he is gonna be more proud of who he is, cause i see how he downplays himself a lot and it honestly hurts a little bit, cause he's a great human being and an amazing artist. The energy he puts in live shows makes me cry, that's truly his all, to the point where Hobi and Jimin told him to tone it down in one of those shows dvds. He puts everything in bangtan and is such a hardworker. I wish the fandom saw all of this, instead of just looks and sexuality and ships. Anyway, I don't even know what this was about, sorry, I'm just tired of all the hatred that has been thrown to Jungkook and Jimin this week. Jungkook loves Jimin, he wouldn't have taken him to fucking Tokyo on a trip alone if he was uncomfortable in 2017. It's been years and they still are the closest, how are people still doubting them? Ugh it's frustrating. But anyway, i hope you're having a good day, love your blog!

I love his passion, I love how smart he is, his intelligence is incredible, his emotional intelligence is amazing too. I love how hard he works, he gives his everything to BTS, ARMY and his craft. I love how he loves the people around him that he cares about. You can literally feel how much he cares. He is special in every way. BTS wouldn't be BTS without Jungkook. This was beautiful and all so true. Thank you 💜

Something really underrated about Jikook is how they both constantly comfort and ease each other by massaging. It's really sweet and I love the way they both give such endless touches towards each other. Jungkook is practically Jimin's masseur. I'm sorry for stealing these words from jikook tweeter fan accounts but it's too true.

Jungkook got Jimin to quit his dangerous diet, he learnt proper therapeutic massages to ease Jimin from his neck pains and soreness. Jimin always being there for Jungkook when he was injured like in the burn the soul docu and burn the stage docu too.

They are always for there for each other, I love their bond. Why so much of hate towards them, let them be lol.

I couldn't post this ask on the same day because I was going back and forth finding enough clips, pictures, and threads to complete this. This isn't something that is exaggerated, it's a common condition that many idols go through. It isn't a joke, haters. Park Jimin also known as Bangtan's main dancer. He carries out difficult parts of their choreography as he has a background in martial arts and contemporary dancing. In short, he's flexible. Well of you do think about it, JK and JM are one of the most important members in BTS in terms of vocals as well as dancing. #talented. Massages -

I'm sure all of us including non jikookers would have noticed Jungkook constantly massaging Jimin neck and back. Not constantly, but at certain clips you might have noticed him doing so. Jungkook some sort knows when Jimin isn't feeling well or if he's feeling some discomfort. JK has a quick response towards a certain situation, he tries to soothe Jimin ache as soon as he possibly could. He's really quick to notice things. For example, this interview! [timestamp 2:59]

JM JK timeline.- my observations how they grew over the years - 2018

Disclaimer: these are my own opinions and conclusions. Feel free to disagree, but hate or aggression will be unacceptable.

As per previous years, this one is pretty long, so it will be posted in several parts.

2018 - Part 3

To start with, can anyone give me a logical explanation why they have to sit soooo close to each other when there is so much room on the sofa?

We get a lot of cute interactions between the two.

JM brings up ‘Magic shop’, starting at 21:45 min., the song JK took part in writing and producing. JM talks about this song with such pride. When JK says as this was a song for army he didn’t feel like he was working, you can see a change in JM’s expression.

JK was asked by RM how did he feel then, and his answer was “love for Army”. I can’t even put into words the level of happiness on JM’s face at that point. It’s way beyond the big smile that appears on his face. And when JK continues to say “this is a song for Army”, JM compliments JK, saying his words were so sweet like candy. I recommend to watch this, because no matter how much I write, it’s really hard to put to words JM’s emotions that come through here (you need to hear it too).

When they talk about the choreography JK says he is going to finish the dance “with a special one”. JM pipes up and asks “is it me?”, only for JK to react: “please be quiet”. It’s the way he says it, the tone he uses, that will bring a smile to your face. The whole situation was a big ass flirting fest.

This is one of those times I feel sad I can’t (or don’t know how to…) share video with sounds to my post. It’s not only the amount of times JK calls JM “Jimin-ssi”, but the intonation when doing so, making not only JM laugh (which we are already used to), but all the members too.

We also get to see JK automatically going to sit next to JM, only to remember that wasn’t his place.

Each member is given a ‘behind mission’ to do during the live. JK’ was to touch all the members noses during the live. He manages to complete his mission. The moment he touches JM’s nose is so cute. JK went all sweet and whispered Jimin-ssi’ just before he booped JM’s nose, resulting in a happy happy JM. Without knowing of the ‘behind mission’ it looks like a really cute and intimate moment. And the thing is, that it seems like it was just that for JM, because the look on his face when he realises this was JK’s mission, I really felt for JM at that point.

Now, I am not a believer in the Jeonelous narrative. But during a part of this interview JK wasn’t happy, and he just couldn’t hide it.

The members were asked what their inspiration was. JM said that RM’s lyrics were his inspiration, only to follow up with a hug with RM. The look on JK’s face, followed with a nod and turn averting his head (much like him turning his head during their 4th July 2015 fan meet), looking down and fiddling with his mic. It takes him a few seconds to level back up.

JM was pretty touchy feely with RM during the whole interview. That didn’t seem to bother JK too much. So what was it that brought on that reaction from him? Did it have to do with JM’s answer, that RM is his inspiration?

Again, this is one of those days that the boys sit for interview after interview. It’s exhausting.

This is also the famous JK’s “I like my…..” interview. The panic that sets in with all of the members when he starts on with that, soooo funny. The silent sigh of relief once he says “voice”. Priceless.

The members are asked what their favourite body part is. JK answers his thighs. From the way JM checks them out at that moment, they are one of JM’s favourite JK body part too.

When the interviewer slaps his thighs, well JM was practically drooling over him, which JK notices and didn’t seem very happy about.

Then they are asked to tell the member next to them what their favourite feature is. JM says to JK that he loves his mind. He says that while patting JK’s nape continuously.

Was this interview before or after the People interview? The question was about a physical feature, or at least that’s what the other members understood, and RM even states that after JM’s answer. So did JM just misunderstand the question? Or was JM trying to redeem himself after the ‘being inspired by RM’ answer? Was that why he kept himself latched onto JK’s nape?

They were asked to define love in their life, how would they define love. JK is thinking really hard on this, and finally turns smiling to look at JM. JM says something that isn’t translated (I saw somewhere that JM says “everything everything”, and when RM finally turns to JK he answers in Korean, and RM says “he didn’t know”.

JM is just rubbing JK’s back for the longest time ever. JM gets up, and then sits back down only to return his hand to JK’s back. Saying all that, I have not seen the original clip, and do not know what was going on there. It was just too beautiful to keep out.

JK wanted to tell army something important. We never got to hear what that was at the end.

At the end of the day it was probably nothing really big. JK & JM tend to do this at times, being mystic about something that actually has to do with their performance. Only thing is that the buzz between them is so loud that it always comes out as playful flirty and feels like there is an undertone to almost every interaction they have on camera.

24 May 2018 BTS comeback show

One of those times we find out just how what a fountain of knowledge JK is when it comes to JM. If there is a JM question in the mix, be sure that JK knows the answer to it. From now on let JK be known as JMoogle or JMavar. Jimin loved it.

25 May 2018 Music Bank prerecording.

JK walking towards JM saying Jimin-ssi in his usual very special tone we have all grown to love. When JK starts walking towards JM, RM turns his way, but then turns away from them. JK says Jimin-ssi once more, quietly, when he reaches JM and rubs JM’s shoulder.

We also get to hear them call out “Jungkookah” & “Jiminah”.

JK & JM at the stick-it question board in a world of their own, choosing JK’s questions. Then it’s JK’s turn he reads out the question: “to Jungkook: Jimin-ssi is?”

JM pipes up to say: “what is it? I’m curious too.”

JK answers: “I don’t know. When calling Jimin-ssi…”

JM: “good to pronounce?”

JK: “Yes, but this Jiminie-ssi with Gyeongsangdo satori accent would be Jimin-ssi. It gives a stronger feeling”.

When listening real close it’s quite obvious the “Jiminie” was a bit of a slip of the tongue, only to follow with the “-ssi” a second later…

Was this a question JK & JM picked together? Was this a conversation they chose to start?

Again, the members are caught in the middle. Their faces tell it all…

It doesn’t end there.

JM continues and says: “Woh. Whenever I eat or wake up he’s always like “Jimin-ssi”, so if I watch a video that’s how I hear it. It’s weird”.

RM’s reaction: “Ok…” and let’s please, in god’s name, please save me for once, move on. Lol.

There is a bit of a mix up with several interviews, including this one, that seem to all have been done the same day with same outfits, but released on different days. They were probably done on 23rd May 2018, but I added them all on 27 May 2018, the date the iv clip was released.

This iv clip is another strange one for me. JM’s behaviour is peculiar here, to say the least. I know JM is a clingy touchy feely kind of guy. But he just couldn’t keep his hands off RM’s thigh, I mean he was practically stuck to that thigh like superglue.

I wouldn’t think twice about it if not for the move he made, at one point, prior to placing both of his hands on RM’s thigh. He does this fake stretching his arms and peeking behind him to make sure JK is watching, only to stretch out and place both arms on RM’s thigh. JK wasn’t happy, but he mostly kept a straight face.

Was he looking for a reaction? Was this behaviour a reaction to something that went on between the two prior to filming? Was he trying to teach JK a lesson of some sorts? Were points made? Idk. It was just strange and awkward.

The funny thing is that the boys are wearing the same outfits as the ones from the very famous “stay together forever” interview, the very happy and flirtatious JM and JK that needed a good RM rescue…

Another interview done same day, but released only 18 Jun 2018 – Funny interview - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAErnHn-ZRw .

During this one we see JK sitting behind RM and JM, and at one point he is kicking at JM’s chair or backside (hard to tell) during the interview. JM didn’t seem to be too bothered by it, though, and strangely enough the editors added heart signs over their heads. Probably a coincidence though. A cute one at that. Because RM is talking about their album and about love, so… probably not to do with those two and their antics.

This had group and individual interviews. During the group interview JM is sitting next to JK. JM touchy feely and at some point holding onto JK’s sleeve.

The last question they were asked was what their message for Army was. To that JK said: “Thank you so much for always giving us new dreams, from now on”. JM turns to JK and says: “from now on?” Then JK says: “together”, and JM says: “together?”, both just looking at each other with a big grin on their faces.

It felt like they were having a private conversation, that had nothing to do with the question they were asked. RM had to save the day calling out: “Let’s be together”, and they snapped out of it. The level of awkwardness after that was sky high hilarious.

If the iv clip may have raised eyebrows and maybe suggest there maybe problems in paradise, this interview shows the exact opposite. Both were filmed the same day. Both with a totally different vibe.

Which of those interviews came first? Was JM’s behaviour during the iv clip as a reaction to JK’s behaviour in the previous interview?

BTS Draws Over 2.7 Million Simultaneous Viewers For Online Concert Event “BANG BANG CON 2021”

Millions of viewers tuned in to BTS’s “BANG BANG CON 2021” concert streaming event this weekend!

On April 17 KST, BTS held this year’s “BANG BANG CON,” a free online event that allowed fans to enjoy several of BTS’s pre-pandemic concerts from previous years in the comfort and safety of their own homes.

BTS launched their first “BANG BANG CON” last year, after being forced to cancel and postpone all the dates of their sold-out 2020 “Map of the Soul” world tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 event, which took place over the course of two days, was a massive hit that recorded an impressive peak of 2.24 million simultaneous viewers.

On April 18, Big Hit Music officially announced that “BANG BANG CON 2021” had managed to draw even more virtual concertgoers, recording a total of over 2.7 million simultaneous viewers.

This year’s “BANG BANG CON 2021,” which the BTS members kicked off with a fun clip in which they playfully informed viewers that they were free to bring any food or drink they pleased into the concert venue, featured a total of three of BTS’s past in-person shows. The approximately 8-hour event included the group’s “2015 BTS Live Trilogy: Episode I. BTS Begins” concert in Seoul, 2019 5th “Muster” fan meeting in Busan (“Magic Shop”), and 2019 “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself”concert in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
