"I think Kim and Max had a fight."
"What makes you say that?"
"Well they aren't sitting together for lunch."
"That's not that strange, humans actually need alone time from one another. Even if they're as close as Kim and Max."
"Yes but while swinging by I noticed they both have bruises on them."
"Again that is not strange. They work in the youngling centre, remember? Everyday I find a new scratch, bruise, or bitemark on them. Once Max had an acid burn from a Vasid."
"But some looked like human hand prints. Adult human hand prints."
"...why would they fight though? They share the same territory, they have bonded over many cycles, they are not courting the other, why would they fight?"
"I heard humans fight for fun against one another, perhaps that is it?"
"But look, they are not happy with the other."
"...should we ask?"
"Do you have voids for brains? You can't just ask a being why they fought their pack mate!"
"With humans you can!"
"Fine. Who do we ask?"
"Kim because we can climb out of her reach fastest." the beings swung over to a grumpy Kim and dropped down into the chairs beside her.
"Hello human Kim."
"We were wondering what happened to you." they gestured with their claw the numerous bruises on her wrists and forearms.
"Max happened. Damn cheater."
"..."
"...He did this??? But why??"
"Because he's a damn cheat!!" the human yells meeting the other human's glare from across the room.
"I did not you sneaky little shit!!" the human male bursts up knocking over his chair
"My hand was on first!"
"Your stubby ass little pinky is not your hand!" the humans meet in the middle nose to nose.
"IT WAS BELOW YOUR'S!!"
"IT DOESN'T MATTER! IT WAS A PINKY VERSUS A DAMN HAND!!"
"ENOUGH! WHAT ARE YOU TWO TALKING ABOUT?!" yells Geld shoving them apart with his many appendages. "What is this nonsense about hands and being first?"
"..."
"..."
"Well? We're waiting!"
"...we were playing Slap Jack." Max mumbles.
"We got...pretty into it." Kim adds looking at her feet.
"Who is Jack and why are you slapping him?! What is it with you humans and your games?!" Geld cries horrified.
"I think I have heard of this one! It is a game of cards where you need to hit a card called Jack. It uses your speed and sight quite well, yes? For you have to hit the card before your opponent?"
"...you received this," Geld grabs Max's arm to look at a bruise in the shape of fingers on his forearm. "from a game???"
"Kim tried to wrestle the pile from me." he smirks.
"And you received this from it as well?" Haq points to Kim's swollen thumb knuckle.
"Max was milliseconds from slapping it first and smashed my thumb to the table." she grins.
"Why are you happy?!" the two cried.
"Because it was a good game."
"Yeah, that was a great comeback you had."
"Sorry about your thumb."
"No worries, sorry about your arm."
"Eh, nothing a free lunch won't heal."
"Well next time I'll be winning that free lunch." and as the two humans walked off to eat lunch Geld and Haq watched in horror at how the human race could declare war against one another so easily while playing a game.

My idea of Odysseus and the Odyssey in general has been now clouded by the musical.
It's cool to know what's gonna happen, love having to study that in elementary.
Hey, Odysseus, when are you going to tell your family you're actually leaving again to die at sea? :D

Started my first watch through of Star Wars rebels!
Really like the first three episodes so far. The expanding lore of Zeb and the slow growth of erza’s abilities.
But since im watching right after the finale of Bad Batch I keep seeing different parallels.
Ezra and Omega are both master classes at using vents/wall crawl spaces, and I love that. If Omega was revealed to be force sensitive, they could be Jedi besties.
I love to think of both Hera and Omega being pilots, but also I feel like the two together in a ship would be crazy unstoppable. Hera would pilot and Omega at gunner, literally can’t beat them.

My sister's watching Season 6 of TCW, and I hear Tup dying (not a spoiler if I knew of it long back ago) and she just goes, "Classic Star Wars death."

Just to put out my own crackpot theory: Marrok was Baylan’s padawan at the time of Revenge of the Sith.
They got separated by Order 66 and when they next met, Marrok was an inquisitor and Baylan had already taken on Shin as his new apprentice.
Marrok isn’t angry about it exactly — he shouldn’t, coz anger will push him right back to the Dark Side — but he’s not not angry.

Hi you reblogged one of my posts about the pokemon manga and I have since been scrolling down your blog
Anyway Pokemon manga is crazy because it gave me all the entirely wrong ideas for the wider world of pokemon media
I remember being like 8 or 9, and the only way I could read the manga was from the library. But I was only able to get whatever volumes were there, so I'd read the 1st book from one series, and then the 15th book from another and jump back to the first series but it would be book 9 and I have no idea what's going on.
And because of this, I got all sorts of misconceptions and confusions about what was going.
I also thought the Elite 4 was just the name for an evil group of people and got very confused when seeing the pokemon games and anime because "Why do they keep making these groups, they just end up evil???"
Anyway hi
hihi!! yeah lmao reading the pokemon manga revived me on tumblr w art AND my writing lmao, I fucking love it it’s great
oof that’s a mood lmao, when I was like 7 my parents got me one of the books (bc I was obsessed with the anime and they wanted me to read more lol), but it was like. from the middle of the series and I was s o confused and just kinda dropped it oop–
like when I started reading it again from the actual book one I was like. huh. so that’s why I was so confused. bc the book I used to have had Gold in it, and I don’t remember if he was the protagonist of that book or just there, but exbo was fully evolved so it wasn’t even from the beginning of the series XD
lmao that’s hilarious actually–
just inherent to the pokemon universe. If you name something “the elite four” it WILL just end up evil. there's no stopping it. best way to prevent organized crime is to simply stop making groups named “the elite four” XD
(personally I’m REALLY fond of sort of the opposite like. they’re not but WHAT IF the pokemon manga and anime were the same universe. its hilarious to think about one of the main antagonists who came so close to ending the entire fucking human race just. slowly morphing into the pokemon universe’s most overworked lil guys lmfao. what if Lance still had the same backstory. He used to be a criminal living in the woods and now he’s doing everyone’s paperwork. I don’t know why I find that concept so funny but I d o –) (but also the way the manga handles its antagonists absolutely fascinates me I swear someone give me enough free time to talk about this I am GNAWING at the bars of my c a g e )
anyways hello :3
come closer I swear I am completely normal about the pokemon manga :3

Wild Heart, Hidden Light
Chapter Three. Into the Shadows.
The Jedi Temple was a bastion of hope, but Taryn Kael had already seen too much of the galaxy’s darkness. Her Master often led her on missions across various planets, and each adventure was a lesson in survival, combat, and the complexities of the Force. Together with his former Padawan, they confronted pirates, mercenaries, and even dark force users. Taryn thrived on the thrill of battle, her instincts driving her to become a fierce warrior.
One mission brought them to the desolate planet of Korriban, where whispers of a pirate stronghold reached their ears. Reports of innocents being captured and exploited ignited a flame of justice within Taryn. The trio stealthily approached the fortress, their senses heightened, ready to strike.
As they infiltrated the stronghold, Taryn felt a strange chill in the air. It was an omen, one she couldn’t ignore. The darkness wrapped around the fortress like a shroud, whispering of danger ahead. They fought through guards and traps, Taryn leading the charge with a ferocity that left her Master and his former Padawan in awe.
But when they reached the innermost chamber, they were met not with pirates, but with a dark Force user cloaked in shadows. Taryn recognised him instantly—a figure she had encountered in her nightmares, a Sith Lord rumoured to have devoured the souls of innocents.
Her Master stepped forward, light sabre ignited, but before he could speak, the Sith struck, they battle ferociously, but the dark shadow got the upper hand and his light sabre pierces through Master Corvus Chest. Rhea, already injured, fell right after. Taryn watched in horror as her both Masters fell, lifeless, to the ground. Rage flooded her veins, drowning out the pain. She felt the beast within her roar to life, wild and untamed.
“No!” she screamed, her voice echoing off the walls. The world around her dimmed as her focus narrowed, and she unleashed her fury, drawing on the dark side of the Force. Her light sabres flared to life, the purple blades illuminating the chamber as she charged at the Sith.
The battle that followed was primal. Taryn fought like an animal cornered, every strike fuelled by her grief and anger. She moved with a speed and strength that stunned even the Sith. With a final, ferocious swing, she cleaved through him, the darkness dissipating like smoke.
But victory felt hollow. As she knelt beside her Master’s bodies, sorrow washed over her. She had embraced her wild side to avenge them, but the cost was steep. The darkness had tempted her, and she could feel its lingering presence within her.
When Taryn emerged from the fortress, bloodied and broken, she was met by the sight of her friends—the clones who had fought by her side. But something was wrong; their eyes were vacant, their expressions cold. Without warning, they turned their blasters on her.
“Execute Order 66,” a voice commanded, devoid of emotion.
Taryn’s heart raced as she realised the betrayal. “No! We’re friends!” she shouted, but her words fell on deaf ears. Instinct took over as she fought back, light sabres whirling as she deflected bolts and struck down her former comrades. It was a brutal battle, and every kill left a scar deeper than the last.
As the chaos engulfed her, Taryn felt her heart shatter. She was forced to slay the very brothers she had fought alongside, the pain of betrayal cutting deeper than any light sabre. With every fallen clone, she felt a piece of her soul die, the weight of her actions pressing down on her like a boulder.
In the midst of the turmoil, Taryn managed to escape into the wilds, the familiar terrain offering a bitter comfort. She was once again alone, the cries of the battle echoing in her mind, haunted by memories of her fallen comrades and her lost Master. Days turned into weeks as she roamed the forests, her heart heavy with grief and rage.
Yet, fate had other plans. One evening, while Taryn was tracking a group of wild boars, a band of Mandalorian warriors found her. They had seen her prowess and strength, and though wary of her wild nature, they recognised her potential.
“Join us,” one of them offered, his voice deep and commanding. “We could use someone like you. You fight like a beast, and we honour strength.”
Taryn hesitated, the memories of the Jedi Temple fresh in her mind. But the solitude was suffocating, and the thought of finding a new purpose began to kindle a spark of hope. “What would I have to do?” she asked, her voice cautious.
“Learn our ways,” the Mandalorian replied. “Fight with us. We fight for our own, and we don’t abandon family. This is the Way!”
The offer resonated with Taryn. She had lost so much, but perhaps she could find a new home among these warriors. With a deep breath, she nodded, feeling the wildness within her shift into something focused and fierce.
And so began her journey with the Mandalorian's. They trained her in their combat styles, teaching her the art of blaster usage and honing her physical prowess. Taryn adapted quickly, her instincts making her a formidable asset. She embraced their traditions, forging a new identity that blended her wildness with their disciplined fighting style.
With each mission alongside her new comrades, Taryn began to heal. She learned the importance of camaraderie, of fighting not just for oneself but for others. The scars of her past were still there, but they no longer defined her.
As she continued to grow, Taryn found herself reflecting on her journey. She still felt the pull of the dark side, but now she understood it as a part of her—not a master to serve, but a challenge to overcome. And deep within her heart, she held the memory of her fallen Master and the promise she had made to protect those she loved.
With the Mandalorian's by her side, Taryn Kael was no longer just a wild beast; she was a warrior ready to forge her own destiny. The galaxy was vast and treacherous, but she would navigate it with strength, fury, and a newfound sense of purpose. And perhaps, one day, she would return to the light.
...Or she just disappears into the wilds...;))

Things I Learned Watching Skeleton Crew:
The way to make a good Star Wars spinoff is to just make a story that draws from the genres Star Wars is built from.
Star Wars is a fairy tale, not a fantasy. It feels most like Star Wars when you've got regular people living their mundane lives who go on adventures where they just get glimpses of a more magical reality.
Treasure Island in space is always a great idea.
A villain with a lightsaber is a great idea, especially when no one else has a lightsaber.
When you start binging a show, make sure it's actually complete, and not one episode from the end, if you don't want to go crazy.
