Danny would like everyone to know it was a complete accident. Look, normally he was really good at not altering the timeline! He was! 

But the dude was definitely not in the right Time, and he had to get his trust which took so long, like damn he thought he had anxiety. Seriously though, kevlar in the 1700s? Yeah that wasn’t right, and Peepaw always complained about the messes that the speedsters caused, so he was trying to prevent a mess by tugging the dude away and helping him out. 

Falling in love maybe a little, was not in the plan. But honestly the man had a worse sense of self preservation than he did as a teen and was also straight up adorable, in a wet cat  who could kill you sort of way. 

So maybe he helped the dude grab a child that was going to be drowned. It wasn’t like anyone else saw them! Even if similar situations might’ve happened a few different times. 

Still, no one saw them! 

So why is there now a small cult who worships the Shadowed one and Radiant one, aka his companion (who would not give his name save for B, which, fair, probably didn’t want to accidentally wreck the timeline either) and well, him?! At least they worship them as guardians of children, but uh. Should he maybe, perhaps, fix this…?

Please ramble about the Au I’m so curious

Well, since you asked so nicely~

(This isn't proof read. Forgive the incoherence)

I've just been calling this Traveling Companions Au. So basically, Odile meets Siffrin way before the events of the story, not long after the whole Island thing. So, when they're about eleven-ish and she's in her 30s.

And now Odile has this child on her hands who

Can barely communicate. (Going off the assumption that Siffrin was already taught some Vaugardian when he was young since the countries were so close)

Remembers nothing about where their from.

And seemingly just showed up out of the mist.

At this point, Odile has already begun traveling the world. So even if she was in the mood to take a random child in (which, she very much isn't) she isn't in any position to give them a stable home. So, she leaves them at the first orphanage she finds and that's that, isn't it?

Of course not. Because Siffrin just. Keeps. Finding her, having latched onto her like a duckling to the first thing it sees. And eventually she just kind of caves and stops trying to get rid of them. She understands what it's like to feel like you don't belong anywhere, after all.

She's not their mother, never tries to be their mother. She probably just calls them her ward until their old enough to reasonably be called a travel companion. Obviously she cares about him. She just. Never tells him how much she cares about him. In direct words.

And yes, while cute kid Siffrin stuff is all well and good. What I really wanna explore with this AU is how it affects the main story.

Sif grows up with a drier sense of humor. Though puns are still a thing. Odile will never be free from the puns.

Siffrin probably? Learns about her whole Familytale quest, but never pries into the context until the Friendship quests arc.

Self-esteem issues are still a thing, just in a different flavor.

He's definitely a lot more comfortable with making fun of Odile than he is in canon. Though it goes both ways. They've got over a decades worth of dirt on each other.

And if Odile was perceptive before, imagine how much easier to read Siffrin is going to be now? She's known them for like 2/3s of their life she's definitely going to notice somethings going on in most of their loops.

Mirabelle and Isabeau get two party members for the price of one in this AU! And with the way Odile and Siffrin behave around each other they assume they've been traveling together for a while.

One day, Mirabelle actually thinks to ask how long they've known each other. And when Odile casually replies, "oh... fourteen years? Fifteen?" She and Isabeau are baffled because ??? Siffrin's in his mid-20s????

At one point, Mirabelle or Isabeau mentions that Odile must be like a mother to Siffrin, and the absolutely disconcerted look Siffrin gives them in response is enough to make them never bring it up ever again.

So yeahhhhhh those are my rambles. Maybe I'll write a fic about this. Maybe I'll just release this into the wild and let people do what they want with it. Who knows?

The first seasons of the third doctor are so funny. You have a show with an easy format: space man and earth girl time travel (or space travel) in box and they fight new quirky bad guys (or occasionally the same bad guy). And they were like, no, his box is broken so there’s no time travel or space travel, we will have the same freak as the villain every episode. The Doctor works for the government now.

something i am SO excited about for the new doctor who seasons is that they seem to really be playing with fashion and period specific fashion and i’m SO hyped about that. like seeing 15 have what…like 5 different outfits in the christmas special? the regency outfits in the trailers and the 60’s-70’s vibes for the beatles episode? ive always thought that there should be more historical fashion in doctor who. you see it like once in season one, and it’s just rose in episode 3, the other time in the 50’s with ten and rose as well, it was really great in 11’s christmas special as well and i love it, and the episode where bill and 12 go to the 1800’s. but give me more. like we know the tardis has a sick wardrobe!! use it!! for a person who’s main thing is like “oh don’t mess up time!” (which she fails at miserably most of the time bc she can’t stop messing with time) the doctor never thinks to wear historical dress and i personally think they would love that!! yeah i know it’s probably a “oh each doctor has a distinct look! gotta keep it that way!!” okay but when i see all of 15 outfits, no matter what era, i still see them as still absolutely in line with 15’s vibes.

anyways this is so incoherent but yeah the TL:DR is that GIVE ME MORE HISTORICALLY ACCURATE PERIOD WEAR FOR DOCTOR WHO EPISODES THAT TAKE PLACE IN THE PAST!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!

"and" is the one you're looking for. Kagome AND rose.

They would have so much fun. Kagome would show Rose archery and Rose would be so impressed, Rose would teach Kagome her dance routines from high school.

The Doctor would tease rose about not using a bike to drive them around, and she'll cheekily retort "Once you can jump over a tree I'll get a bike." The doctor will pout and whinge about the TARDIS being better than high jumps anyways.

Kagome and Rose discuss the Bone Eater's well and Rose doesn't want Buyo out of her lap and the Doctor gets jealous that Buyo will let Inuyasha play with him but not the Doctor.

Inuyasha has zero clue what Rose is saying at anytime but gives her a piggyback ride anyways while Kagome laughs from her bike and the doctor gingerly sits behind her trying not to fall.
