#a TAIL of two worlds

Happy one year anniversary ISAT! To celebrate I wanted to share the lil strips I made for my friends when they reached the end of the game! They're all meant to be snippets of life post game and a glimpse into the world I'm making for Loop.

It's actually so heartbreaking that in the temperance ending Johnny just.. leaves. Gets all these calls, maybe even texts, from people who don't know the extent of what happened. Who are accusing him, that are mad at him. Especially in the frame of reference that this was V's last wish. That it was V who gave the body up. That it was V who wanted this, wanted to save Johnny, Johnny essentially powerless to stop them ('just scared for ya').

And the thing is.. Johnny just lets everyone. Lets them make their own conclusions, lets them be mad at him. Lets them blame him. Lets them think, that after the love of his life the person who's ever wholly understood or cared about him the most like no other ever could had 'died', that it's his fault, that he could do that to them... Or just lets them think the worst of V as their final lasting impression or mark on this world. Doesn't try to defend himself nor V. He just leaves. Just takes it.

And you would think. You would think the one he would at least tell is Kerry. That the one to actually understand the most would be Kerry. I don't think any of the other love interests could get the whole engram situation like him, they don't have that personal history or connection to the code on the relic like he did after all. Kerry knew Johnny. Enough at least. But Johnny doesn't tell him, and Kerry just thinks V ghosted off on him and Johnny just lets him think that. And it just makes you wonder.. why would Johnny do that? Why would he do any of this?

Sonic: Yeah, but when I get them all, I can turn into Super Sonic! I'm all gold, and super-fast, and flying and woo-hoo!

Tails: Man, I wish I was that cool.

Sonic: Uh, dude you can fly any time you want! And you're also like a super genius? You're basically the coolest guy I know!

Tails: [laughs] Oh... come on...

Danny squirms and hisses, trying to dig his claws into dark scales as the clouds whistle by. “Wait- Ancients dammit- STOP!” he shrieked, cursing how tiny his own ghost form was compared to his other not-quite-future-self. Wings that could easily dwarf the entire Ops center beat through the air, fast enough to cause his eyes to sting. 

“Dan- bring me back- stop-” he wailed, despite the grip on his scruff not even loosening. Yet the larger dragon didn’t so much as twitch back towards Amity, the city disappearing into the distance like a speck. “We have to go back-” 

The GIW were- were- They had to go back! The portal was gone (exploded, broken and all of Fentonworks a smoldering mess, oh Ancients he’s gonna be sick-), no one could return to the Realms, they were all sitting ducks- 

“Jordan please-” he begged, even though he already knew that between the city, between every other ghost and them, Dan would always choose to keep them safe. But Jazz was hurt, she wasn’t waking up from where she lay limply cradled in Dan’s claws. 

There was so much blood, and he only knew she was still alive from the weak fluttering of her core, growing stronger as her heartbeat faded. She needed help, she needed doctors- he doesn’t know if she would be able to come back, not with how they were leaving the ecto-rich city behind and he didn’t want to lose her- Dan’s blank panic was swamping his own, drowning both of them in the emotion as the dragon tore through the sky. Some part of him knew they couldn’t stay in Amity anymore, but- But Jazz needed help- Danny couldn’t help the tears that dripped from his yes, pretending it was merely the clouds as they flew to places unknown to him.

thinking about how natsu and lucy were written to be best friends but the writers accidentally made their relationship so romantic that they inadvertently went all the way back around to friendship again

like. they’re soulmates. but also they’re so close they can’t see each other in a strictly romantic way. but also they can’t see themselves with anyone else. but also actually being in a romantic relationship would be weird

I have the odd idea since godpoke became a demi god, I had the idea of if their trauma ((Of the game)) getting the best of them. It will cause Godpoke to turn into some eldritch god for a few seconds or so.

While Crumbs Doesn't become an eldritch god, They are very much heavily affected by the events of the game- this leads to them ending up having their own post game spiral that requires ... a unique approach to deal with.

Though to be fair, in their shoes I'd also be handling it all very poorly after all is said and done- They lost their whole identity (Did they even have one to begin with?) on top of everything.

do yall think eggman has those moments where he's all proud of himself for coming up with some great plan to finally overpower sonic or outsmart tails but then he thinks on it a little longer and the fact that they're literal children hits him really hard

My favourite character type: Metaphorically Tortured and Literally Covered in Blood

Jang Uk from Alchemy of Souls counts, even though I don't think he's ever simultaneously tortured and covered in blood, but that is only because that series doesn't use a lot of blood. Dude was mentally tortured and literally killed 86 people in one go, there should be blood.

actually, featuring the designs for Mable and Dipper (as well as waddles)

Mable + Dipper are red tail hawks which are closely related to ferruginous hawks (but I really just made them into a combo of both species; they just have more visible red tail traits)

I made Waddles a rat in this AU; because pig/hogs don't necessarily exist anymore in this AU (I mean the people that are left still have them) + also because like pigs' w/ people; rats are preyed upon by many bird species.... Waddles is just a very large rat species that appeared
