so im a little tango fanboy
had a thought - based on how you write him has he picked up any habits from
Etho and Doc in TTSBC?
Zedaph in TT?
this is just tired brain being tango nerd!! don't mind me!! i'll probably come poke my head in with other random questions o/
Ooooh, this is a great idea!
It's not really mentioned but in my head I like to imagine that Tango has picked up a lot of his work/redstone habits from learning from Doc. The way he winds his redstone wires is the same as Doc, the way he lays out his tools and materials is the same, stuff like that!
In TT, Tango as he is recovering from the conditioning he was put through picks up some of his intonations and stuff from Zed, because he's trying to mimic them to remember how he used to do them himself before he was enslaved, but he's still working on that. it's kind of like how Grian grapples his hands around like Mumbo does when he feels anxious. He doesn't remember how he used to express anxiety himself, so he's just copying Mumbo instead 😆 So Tango picks at his claws the way Zed will pick at his gloves or arm gauntlets, stuff like that!
I adore this lil blaze-born as well so I'm happy to ramble about him! I look forward to more random questions!

Me again. Just curious. What did you think of the 2016 Ratchet & Clank movie? Assuming you’ve seen it I mean. I haven’t.
Ratchet & Clank: The Movie (2016) was one of the most disappointing turn of events that the series could go to. Looking back on the movie as a whole, it's completely filled to the brim with cringe and pandering.
To start off, I want to say that you are allowed to like this movie. But as a fan of the series since the beginning, and seeing how the existence of this movie alone spurred so many arguments in and outside the community, I have nothing but pure hatred for this film. Now let's get started.
This movie is not about Ratchet or Clank. This movie is about Captain Qwark and the two side characters that are hogging his screentime. I expected there to be a lot wrong with this movie when I went to see it in theatres, but Captain Qwark being the center focus is definitely not what I was expecting.
Captain Qwark poses as the main character in a movie that definitely shouldn't be about him, Drek is an insult to the original character, and Dr. Nefarious ruins the entire film which is actually impressive since Nefarious's presence alone usually makes everything better. You know the film is bad when not even Nefarious could fix it.
The new characters— Cora, Brax, Elaris, Zed, and Grimroth— are basic and nothing special. The only character added that fans seem to have latched onto it Elaris, but the rest are clear stereotypes and have nothing remotely interesting about them. Besides the fact Cora clearly has a Tachyon symbol on her forehead but the movie completely ignores that and she shows no animosity towards Ratchet. The voice acting is also atrocious from certain characters, Cora being the worst offender for me.
The story is laughable. It doesn't take a genius to realize that the writers of the games are not the same writers of this movie. The message about capitalism being the major cause of pollution because destroying the planet gives the hungry rich man more money was decided to be simply not interesting enough. So they threw away the original story for Dr. Nefarious Being Evil For The Sake Of Being Evil. A disgrace to Ratchet & Clank 2002's story that would apply to today's climate more than ever.
Ratchet and Clank themselves are extremely bare bones. Ratchet is unrecognizable, a shell of his former self. The famous Ratchet wit is completely lost on this character in exchange for an upbeat, super cheery fanboy pretending to be the Lombax we know and love. Because of this, Ratchet and Clank never argue and never actually develop to be friends. Clank spends more time buddying up with Elaris than he does with the supposed main lead.
I haven't even mentioned that in the original, Ratchet was the one to suspect foul play with Qwark, while in this movie, they changed it to Clank being the one to suspect it. Because no matter what game it is, Ratchet must be in the wrong.
There was one (1) moment Ratchet and Clank shared that I enjoyed, which would be the scene where both are in the ship and connected by the fact both crashlanded on Veldin without a name. That's it.
In spite of this, there was some good that came from this movie, and that would be the 2016 game. Do I like this game? Not at all, I hate it actually. Buuuuut it introduced a lot of cool people into this franchise, and for that, I do respect this game.

I'd love to know more about Everything That’s Meant. Celebrity & Actor AUs are one of my favourite tropes.
You picked that one because you knew it was my favorite, didn’t you? ;) First Good Omens AU I ever started planning - it has a 63-slide PowerPoint and almost 40k words written so far!
Aziraphale Fell is a classically trained actor known for powerful biopics, hindered by the insistence of his brother (Gabriel, head of Celestial Studios) that he stay in the closet. Anthony J. Crowley is known for playing flashy villains and wonders if a hero role will ever be in the cards for him. They’re cast in a series adaptation of Agnes Nutter’s Prophecies, Aziraphale as the angel Raphael and Crowley as the demon Asmodeus, but something feels off... until they realize one late-night rehearsal that it works better if they switch roles! (yes, it’s a roleswap AU within an actor AU lol) Now all they’re up against is a haunted set full of nefarious occurrences, not to mention their own growing feelings for each other, which exhilarate Crowley but terrify Aziraphale as the two become closer and closer.
Fun facts and excerpts under the cut...
Fun facts:
Past Aziraphale roles: SO much Shakespeare, historical/period dramas, Oscar-bait biopics, a heart-wrenching drama called House of Water, mentorly roles in YA genre films, children’s character Dr. Zed Imagination
Past Crowley roles: countless franchise villains with his trademark CGI eyes (Star Trek, Doctor Who, Tron, Avengers), the killer in the Hallows’ Eve films, a recurring villain role on a superhero show called Absolute Powers, some horror cult classics, a few charismatic Disney villains, voice work (the dragon in Goldbreakers, the car in Ride by Dusk)
They meet at a BAFTA afterparty after Aziraphale has given his statuette away
Crowley has trauma-induced photosensitivity from a fall at university. He got the snake tattoo to cover a scar on his temple. He does the makeup cover of it for roles by himself unless the makeup department prefers otherwise.
Aziraphale’s influential family started the angel-name tradition. His mother’s vengeful ex Luke started the demon-name tradition. Now it’s all over the industry, all the way to Hollywood.
Crowley is genderfluid. The tabloids keep spotting ‘mysterious women’ leaving his flat and speculating about why. They’re never right.
Some articles about them...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Excerpt One:
Crowley and Aziraphale shared a look.
“Eminently helpful,” said Aziraphale drily.
Crowley laughed. “No kidding. Why don’t we have a crack at the refreshments table before they take it all down?”
Aziraphale had been eying it all night, and of course Crowley had noticed. “Oh, yes, please,” said Aziraphale, rubbing his hands together and following Crowley over.
Crowley had not been prepared for the sight of Aziraphale eating a chocolate-covered strawberry. It was almost sinful, the red of it against those pink lips, the way Aziraphale closed his eyes as he took it in. It really was a shame no one ever cast him as the sexy lead. He could have pulled it off in a heartbeat.
Crowley had to think of something to say before it drove him mad.
“I loved you in Ordinary Saints,” he said finally, and then mentally kicked himself – sure, be a fanboy, that’s what he wants to hear.
But Aziraphale simply responded with a pleased smile. “Oh, really? I didn’t know you were familiar.”
“Cry every time I see it. Only tragedy I’ll watch, mind – usually I prefer the funny ones.”
“It wasn’t a tragedy. The couple lived happily ever after.”
“Yeah, but you died!” Crowley could feel his hands growing animated but couldn’t stop them. “After everything you did for them! Beautiful death, by the way, but really.”
Aziraphale’s smile grew wider, amusement dancing over his face. “No one’s ever quite defended me that way before.”
Excerpt Two:
“Is it all right that I call you angel?”
Clearly, Aziraphale had not been expecting that. He processed the question for a long moment, then shifted closer to Crowley in the dark. Of course there was still nearly half a sofa between them, but Crowley felt the movement tingling in his bones. “You know, I think it is,” said Aziraphale, hushed, like a secret.
“I don’t want to remind you of – of all that if you don’t…”
“But you see, it doesn’t make me think of that at all.” Aziraphale’s blue gaze turned to the ceiling, contemplative. “It only makes me think of Prophecies. And – and of you. And – you’ll think me silly for this…”
“Not at all,” said Crowley immediately.
“Well. It makes me think that, perhaps…” Aziraphale returned his gaze to Crowley. He had a habit of roaming it over the rest of Crowley’s face – lips, cheekbones, forehead. He seemed to take in Crowley’s expressions, despite the sunglasses, in a way few people ever had. And Crowley was good at communicating around the glasses. But Aziraphale picked up on nuances even beyond his wildest dreams.
Right now, though, Crowley didn’t want to force Aziraphale to do that. For the first time he truly thought about how off-putting it must be, staring back at your own reflection. He lifted the glasses up onto his head and met Aziraphale with his true eyes.
This earned him an intake of breath and a slow, wide smile.
“It makes you think…” Crowley prompted.
“It – right.” Aziraphale seemed to shake himself a bit and return to the moment. His face was wistful and a little awed as he looked back at Crowley, nothing but air between them. “When you call me… angel. That I might be… finally living up to what Mother wanted me to be.”
Crowley couldn’t help the tears that sprang to his eyes. He glanced away at the carpet, blinking them into submission.
So yeah, that’s the actor AU! Hoping to get it out in the next couple of months, but we’ll see. I appreciate anyone who read this far <3

BORDERLANDS BEST TO NOT-WORST-BUT-DEFINITELY-NOT-GOOD GAME
I wanted to make this before I go to bed. :0 p. s this is just my opinion. :)
BL2
-BL2 had no right for being so good.
-I loved everything about it; The antagonist/main villain(handsome jack) , The new Vault hunters, the old characters, the DLCs, MR. TORGUE(<3), dr zed, Boom Bewm, blah blah blah. You get the idea!
-Beating it was the greatest achievement in my life(other than beating TM: B and Loco Roco).
-Solid 10/10
BL1
-The reason why BL1 is in second place of being a scrumptious BL game is because it's kinda hard to play.
-I fanboyed whenever I saw Dr. Ned. Dr Zeds Zombie Island was the best DLC on there.
-I absolutely adore the skags on there.
-A scrumptious 9.5
TFTBL
-It was different from the others and that's what I liked about it. Simple and lovely.
-August, Vaughn, and Scooter made the game more scrumpdiddlyumptious.
-Some of it was sad tho.
-A good 7-8!
BL:PS
-I liked it, but it seemed rushed to me.
-Cool characters tho!
-Idk what to say. Uh.. Wilhelm was rad?
-5? 6?
BL3
-Definitely the odd ball of the bunch. I didn't really like it because I leveled up too fast and it didn't have the ✨zazz✨ I was looking for. The style seemed a bit off to me as well.
-The DLCS were okay ig. (I loved hammerlocks dlc and kriegs dlc tho)
-Most of the antagonists/side(+main) bosses were bleh. I didnt like the twins and they stole the goliaths gnarly BL2 design. SIDE NOTE!: My fave characters were Killavolt, Pain & Terror, Fl4k, and Clay :D
-a sad 5.7//////P. S Ava was the worst character imo

I don’t know if you know about the Kris and Jack channel, where Zed does sketches and stuff with his friend Jack, but I have recently found out that there are live-streams with Zedaph, Tango and Jack playing Diversity 3 on Zed’s second channel and I have been freaking out about it ever since. It’s the first time Tango and Jack have ever talked or interacted. A few minutes in and there are already amazing moments like Zed introducing his friends to each other, and Tango fanboying over Jack.
I very much do know about that channel! It's absolutely hilarious, and I've watched most of the videos there by now I think. I didn't know about those streams however, that sounds like a riot. I'll confess to having no idea what a Diversity 3 is but I'm certainly going to watch those at some point!

PM!AU: TFC, being a legendary hero (now retired), often offers tips to those who aspire to be ones themselves. Zed, Iskall, and maybe even Milo are some of these individuals~
Zed looked up to TFC since he was a child, I think he’d love to listen to what he has to say. He probably has sticky notes on the bathroom mirror with quote from him XD
Iskall also would, just not to the extent of fanboying lol
Milo would be similar to Zed
I also wanna throw Xisuma in there bc he’s kinda like the next generation of heroes with a name like TFC and probably has personal conversations with him often bc he’s a wise man with some good advice and a little bit of sarcasm lol

Zedaph (he doesn’t have as much lore as Tango and Impulse but I still like his chill backstory)
Zedaph was born and raised in a planet full of sheep and goat hybrids integrated to the IPA. He learned about redstone and building and immediately decided to pursue a world jumping lifestyle.
He trained to become a redstoner and was really good but he found it more interesting to make silly contraptions. After his training was done he chose to join small worlds to help out with redstone, often using his sillier contraptions as tools to teach others how redstone works.
For this he was invited to a world filled with some semi relevant people one of them was redstone extraordinaire Tango. Not to say Zed fanboyed but he did. And he managed to meet him and they became besties.
He hanged out with Tango who later brought in Impulse and they all three became friends. Zed helped Tango teach Impulse about the overworld and the end since Impulse is a demon from the nether that hadn’t live elsewhere until then.
Soon Tango left to Hermitcraft and invited him and Impulse along, Impulse decided to go but Zed didn’t felt sure yet about his abilities so he decided to postpone it.
During this time he stayed in contact with Impulse and Tango who helped him and vouched for him when he felt ready to join for world (Season) five.
And X accepted him and that’s how Zed became a Hermit
