the problem with the met gala

i know that i'm a bit late to met gala bashing that's been going on since stray kids was disrespected at the met gala on the 6th of may.

they absolutely do not deserve this kind of treatment, especially not from such a big and influential event like the met gala, and the paparazzi present there. the least that the met gala could have done is hire professional photographers for the event. i mean, they are already spending MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to make the event happen, and they can't even hire actual photographers for the event?!

now, this was stray kids' first met gala. they were the first kpop group to be invited to the gala, and all the paparazzi do is fucking disrespect them??

“my dear, what do you require?” he’d say. “it hurts…” you whine. your period had recently started and the cramps hurt like hell. “what hurts, did someone bring harm to you? whoever did shall die where they stand!” and you momentarily panic because nobody had hurt you. “no! zannie, nobody hurt me! don’t worry! it’s just my period!” you yelped, worried for the poor soul that narrowly might’ve escaped muzan’s wrath. “your…. period?” it’s rare that muzan appears bewildered, so this is a sight. “yea… basically for about a week every month, women have their periods. basically, it’s a time where we bleed out of our vagina and unfortunately it comes with way. too. many. cramps. there’s also other things like cravings and mood swings.” you explained. you noticed muzan started to get a hungry look in his eye. he had thought he’d smelled blood, but knowing it was from you and not because you were injured, he was resisting the urge to devour it that instant. “are you currently in pain due to cramps?” he asked, ever so politely. you nodded, it hurt like nothing else. “heat usually helps…” you muttered. muzan began to approach you. he snapped, and in just seconds the strum of a biwa was heard and a warm blanket and cup of tea appeared before you. muzan then proceeded to cuddle closer to you in the bed, and before you knew it, he was drinking your menstrual blood as he held your blanket covered waist. thank goodness the tea didn’t spill.

Ikkon "Capitano" Agreda Refused his number Zanpakuto: Tiamtum. Doesn't look like a katana at all, it's a silver brass knuckle knife Resurrección: Orca. However, no special form is obtained when activated Other: h-207cm, w-about 130kg

Ikkon's animal prototype is orca, the most fearsome sea predator. I wanted to give themes to the members of my Arrancar troupe (aside from literally being inspired by theatre, circus, etc.) and settled on self-destructive attitudes and relationships☝🤓 So his theme is anger, resentment and revengefulness. Many in the troupe call him by his nickname, "Capitano", but Ikkon is not a Spaniard who came from far away like his theatrical counterpart, he has no army and in this respect, he resembles Captain Ahab who blindly hunts for his own death with his decisions. Incredibly and sometimes unreasonably vicious and cruel, firmly believing that if the world and its creatures have treated him with nothing but cruelty since his birth, he shouldn't treat the world any differently. He has no sporting interest in violence. Ikkon can have fun in the process - even dance as a mockery - but he is not interested in fair fights purely for the sake of finding a worthy opponent, so he hates when opponents try to initiate small talk during encounters. He would be much more happy if his prey would just shut up and die. Ikkon is dismissive towards everyone around him and keeps them at arm's length even when he seems to like someone, and he is more than happy with his position as a "hired force" since he refused to play a role in the troupe and kinda sticks around to find himself new things to kill time with or, well, kill. He has murdered a great number of Arrancar either for fun or because of some quarrels and dug himself an even deeper grave. Despite actually having some semblance of self-awareness, he always finds someone to blame. Technically, he's just a big, angry kid who's lucky enough to have a huge power advantage over literally all of his kin and who's is so stuck in his own anger, so limited by it that he's unable to change at this point. His views have gotten him nowhere but to an aimless, stupid and painful death, which he'd always predicted for himself, but even then he's managed to do his own thing and took the shinigami who fought him out in the process. "If I go down, you go down with me." He mainly relies on his immense physical strength, size, and good fighting ability, but he also uses Sonído, Cero, Bala, and other delights of the Arrancar form. His personal ability is blowing bubbles filled with compressed spiritual energy hundreds of times stronger than when it's just surrounding him. When they burst at his command, they release it in the form of powerful waves that, depending on the opponent's spiritual energy, can either blow their head off from the pressure or just topple them over. His Resurrección doesn't give him a cool orca-man form but works kinda like a Domain Expansion. The lack of any new physical abilities or a new form when released is paid off by the fact that Ikkon's Reiatsu at a large radius from him is so intense that it creates a pressure similar to that of being submerged deep underwater. It's called Hadal Zone (Ultra Abyssal) because of it. He can easily tinker with this pressure and change it back and forth with various rapidity, so he can give his enemy either a decompression sickness or an instant death from rupture… of pretty much everything… It's up to him, but he's more fond of killing shinigami, humans, and his kin with his own hands rather than standing aside while it's happening.

Ikkon's far more cool and talented in all sorts of things than people give him credit for. He has a very strong singing voice and sometimes sings to himself when he's alone. But nothing more than that. He's not ashamed of his talent, in fact, he takes pride in it but being the object of attention of the troupe is worse than death itself to him, so it's kinda his fault people tend to overlook things abt him. He actually finds most of the members annoying. Especially their voices thanks to his extra sensitive hearing. It gets so bad that if he were to fight shinigami in the world of the living he'd probably bawl his eyes out due to the noise pollution and not be focused enough to do anything. He also lives on the outskirts of the cathedral-like building, where the other Arrancar reside, in a cave of some sort. Not because he's not a part of the whole mess but because he feels safer and calmer in the place he's been living alone in for a couple of hundred years now, even in his hollow form. Named after two musicians - Federico Augusto Ágreda Álvarez (Zardonic) and Niko "Ikon" Lehdontie (Oranssi Pazuzu). Theme songs: Twelve Foot Ninja - Coming For You, Staind - Change, Combichrist - Throat Full of Glass, Seether - Pride, P.O.D. - Listening For The Silence, Найк Борзов - Слышу Тьму. Heavily lyrics-oriented I guess?? Whatever… Tbh he's grown on me over time and the more I think abt him the less I wanna kill him off (and Ryuya too) but for the sake of keeping the story intact, there's an alternative route where he almost dies but doesn't. Maybe I'll write it down later but first I need to tell you about Volto so ehh… We'll see I guess.

Charlotte folks got an advantage for sheer numbers but the Straw Hats.... well, the sheer zanny nonsense they're capable of should not be underestimated. If the Straw Hats did get away with the reader, rest assured, it would be on sight after that till the end of time. And the same thing if reversed because Luffy alone is more stubborn than anyone has any right to be with no thought in his head that some things are better left alone. And being such a (literally and physically) small crew there's a good chance they could sneak in wherever the reader is and just SNATCH them up.

This is assuming that the reader isn't going through a teen rebellion phase and ran away from home (Katakuri probably the one sent to get them back, RIP that man and his older brother responsibilities). In this case it's the Straw Hats on the defensive with a very pissed off reader screaming at their family how utterly embarrassing this is and that they're not a little kid damnit!

(Bonus points if reader is pretty short for even normal humans in a family of stupidly tall people. RIP, they'll never be seen as all grown up at this rate)

How hilarious would it be if this food devil fruit is actually like, the ability to create/grow/transform fruits? Like, the only (that I can think of) directly healthy food related ability in the Charlotte family, used almost exclusively to make desserts because of course it is. Some of the strange happenings I've managed to catch while playing Sims 4

Being a parent is no easy task...

There was the time double-fisting coffee was the only way to get through the day.

And then there wasn't anywhere to sit and watch TV.

It's not like child endangerment is all that serious, right? Parents Mai and Dom certainly didn't seem to think so. Poor Pike was left on the front porch at all hours.

Death loomed over all of Simsdom. No one was safe but Grim was happy to be included.

First, there was the time the welcome wagon brought death instead of fruitcake.

Then there was the time 5 sims decided to die at a birthday party. They were so dramatic and selfish - die from heat exhaustion when the party's over you losers.

And how could one forget the date night from hell that ended with 25+ deaths. Grim caught fire at least 3 times, so he probably wasn't stoked to be included in this one. My sims and I have not gone back to Enamorada since. (an unfortunate and unforeseen collaboration between Life Tragedies and Extreme Violence. I assure you, settings have since been changed.)

Don't ever let your sim think their day can't get worse. Sometimes you can lose both of your moms on the same day and also find out that your wife is going to die soon too.

Even the obstetricians fell victim. Twice. During different pregnancies!

And, of course, the pets exhibited some interesting behaviors as well...

Huey often stood guard over an abandoned Pike, which was more sweet than concerning.

and Pesto Linguini (the cat) had a... unique way of demanding attention.

Granny had some interesting moments herself.

There was that time she announced that she had a favorite and then doubled down

and the time she came to meet her new grandson, Pike, and found him abandoned on the front porch (which was not the first time nor the last. Are you starting to get how often the poor kid was left outside?)

And then she had a mental breakdown(?) and took a bath in her towel.

And there have been other strange happenings too:

We learned that the pool was considered an ocean and that high school lunches could last over 18 hours.

Apparently giving an autograph to Grim is more important than trying to plead for a fiancé's life.

And, of course, just because you call the police to catch the suspicious Zanny outside your house, it doesn't mean they'll actually do their job. Sometimes they'll bypass the threat and go test out the new swing set.

I will never tire of the wonky chaos this game can create.
