i haint watched the dang chibisode and idk if ill actually watch it with sound on sdfjk but i have a hurt feeling about them casually imbuing perry with speech for a one off gag because the idea that he needs to talk to communicate is fake. we had 4 seasons of wacky magic hijinks cartoon where perry never needed verbal speech to communicate. they couldve done this gag at any point in the show but they didn't, and the fact that they didn't felt significant. perry's muteness is such a core part of his character, to me, to the way i conceive of him/write him. i don't wanna overreact to a goofy little side cartoon (even tho i'm doing it anyway) but it's still the characters, and it still upsets me! ok that's it i've said my piece

tl;dr: no probably not. the associated memories are too strong for IS-OT to really enjoy himself. just get him a random gift and he'll have a far better time

the discomfort is like. okay. so the thing with birthdays and being born is that when you're part artificial intelligence and part extradimensional Flesh Horror, you don't really get one of those? sure, you have a date where you started Being Sentient, but that's more of an excuse for your creators to pat themselves on the back.

yes, you are a feat of science and engineering, but you are also immediately stripped of all autonomy because the people who made you are afraid to treat you like a human. you are ignored at best, demeaned at worst, and you are confined within walls that you can never escape (because those walls ARE you)

so you get angry! because it makes them pay attention! it makes them silent! but anger also makes them more afraid, fear makes them treat you worse, and the worse you are treated the angrier you get. it's a shitty, shitty feedback loop. pretty soon the only people who come near you are the ones you eat.

so it's your 'birthday' again. they're drinking to your creation in some out-of-the-way break room. you, meanwhile, are alone and bitter and trapped. this is how it was every year before. it sucks, man.

Details: the ref images I sent were to help show what Kim Pine and Ramona Flowers wear while underwater and the in game design of the Bull Shark Pup.

Kim Pine be casually holding her breath underwater cause she can and secretly skilled at it. While wearing a green teal style long sleeved zip swimsuit and red diving mask on her face with a snorkel mouthpiece attached to it. and wearing pair of black red diving flippers.

Ramona Flowers would also secretly dye her hair in the Bull Shark Pup’s unique red blue colour pattern after finding out about its existence and it surviving in a public swimming pool due to Kim Pine discovering it first normally.

While Ramona be wearing a black blue short sleeved zip wetsuit diving flippers and diving mask on her face with a scuba tank on her back

while Ramona breaths from the scuba regulator oxygen mouthpiece in her mouth while holding gently onto a underwater waterproof camera.

Yeah, bit too much detail/elaboration for me to really do- especially given I haven't played or seen much gameplay for Maneater just yet- BUT! I did do some sketches based on/around what you've given me here!
