Nah I'm sorry but the pregnancy announcement after George confirmed that Max said that he would smash his head against a wall. No one is gonna say anything bad about a father to be. That was such a perfect PR move.

And it's marketable. Baby merch immediately popped up on his site after. I've physically seen people excuse his threat towards George (which under no circumstances would ever be normal?? even if anyone else said it) to get all cheerful (called it 'alright' because he's 'morally grey' ?? that's a real human being, not a fictional character) about the baby and also using it to defend Kelly too. (I'm not going in that rabbit hole more, but she doesn't deserve defense or a fanbase)

Does everyone fall for pr that easily? Apparently so. Average F1 fan sucks up to the worst type of (European) man so easily and falls deep for their curated, predatory parasocial relationships. Media training, media acting (DTS), fandom-curated content, and rpf have you all acting like everything is a movie. Like everything is fine and sunshine.

Helloo! My name is Lyla and I like your concept of Dandy! I would like to ask, did anything inspire them? Also, which gender are they? (IMO, they look like a girl to me....😊 but if you think otherwise, that's fine❤)

OH HELLO!!! Thank you I'm so glad that people like Dandy so much, it makes me so so giddy!!! Um, Dandy is inspired by a lot of things! Lots of my personal interests soaked into Dandy when I was designing them.

If you don't mind me rambling a little about Dandy's process, Dandy took me 3 months to make! Give or take at least. And they went through three other revisions before I was happy with their look!

THESE WERE ALL THREE GOING TO BE DANDY! I was a little directionless when I made these three. I just knew "flowers" and that was...it. But otherwise I was kinda just throwing things at a wall and seeing what sticked. The last one is the closest to what Dandy ended up as but still wasn't quite right! Eventually I had to put these away and make a sort of inspo board, look at colors and clothes and puppets I liked. BUT YES there is one BIG MAIN INSPIRATION that really cemented Dandy's silly look. And it's THIS GUY!

Boober from Fraggle Rock! Like when I saw him I realized I remembered the show growing up and I just... AUGH it filled me with joy to remember so I picked him up, picked up some color palettes I liked, picked up some clothes images, and ran with it. Eventually they ended up as the little goober we all know today!

OH RIGHT! GENDER! yes yes um. Dandy is androgynous! On purpose! They're inspired by characters I grew up with, like Crona from Soul Eater, where no one could seem to agree what pronouns to give them. So Dandy is meant to be a character the writers couldn't seem to agree was masculine or feminine so the show and physical illustrations flip flopped between he and she. That is to say, all are correct! Dandy goes by any! I use they/them to try and be consistent but otherwise you may call them what you wish! So you may use she/her when addressing them if you so wish!

More information will be under the cut!! I'm really excited to share this AU with the world because it's very personal to me!!! TW for brief mentions of kidnapping and human experimentation.

Short summary: I noticed that many Dandy's World AUs (at least, on Tumblr) are heavily action-packed, so I decided to make something that's much more down-to-earth and slice-of-life...with various cartoony shenanigans that happen in between heartwarming friendships, discussions of mental health, and the slow journey of self-discovery, self-acceptance, and healing from trauma.

Plot synopsis: Dandy was once a 17-year-old human guy before being kidnapped, experimented on, and turned into a Toon. But he was quickly rescued by an underground organization called Freeform that rescues Toons from laboratories, and taken to their headquarters, which is a mix of a mall, a hotel, and an office space depending on where you go in the building. Freeform and their headquarters will have their own posts dedicated to it that expand on things, dont worry!

Dandy is the only Toon to ever have been human at one point (all the other Toons were born as Toons). There's many themes about coming-of-age, finding your identity, and accepting yourself for who you are that Dandy as a protagonist will explore. He starts out in the story very out of character, but ends up becoming more and more like his canon self as the story goes on and as he begins to grow more accepting and confident in both his body and himself.

There are many more Toons than just the main Dandy's World cast, but the canon characters are the main focus. Lots of characters will be re-written to have more depth and intrigue, such as Sprout and Every Single Woman Besides Shelly And Vee.

Toby the Tophat(the hat Toon) is an OC made by my friend Alec while we were on a call together playing Dandy's World. Coincidentally, I made Ellie in that same call and uh. This happened:

Alec: And then Toby would sometimes pull Ellie out of his hat to give him a hug or something-

Alec: HUG THE BOYFRIEND
