When we played our charade...
You stood there fitting on your dress, one of the maids tightening up your corset on the back of your dress. You were going to attend an event, being seen by the public of the people of Panem. Well, being the first lady of Panem, organizing, and attending thousands of events in your husband's honor. Your role was to keep a smile, even when it was a good time for you or your country. You served the public and served your husband, looking inside yourself into the mirror in front, as the maid finished fighting your dress up. It was a red, burgundy dress that he personally picked for you, to match your husband's suit.
We were like children posing...
You weren't originally supposed to be in the position, you weren't even supposed to be married to him. You only know if when you were kids, him and his cousin, Tigris. You were familiar, knowing her more than you knew him. But time came to pass by, and you managed to know more about him, his likes, and dislikes, he was always around his grandmother when he stopped by you. It was always a vivid memory for you, playing seek with the younger version of himself and running around the park, you really missed him, but now it didn't feel like him at all.
Playing games..acting out names..guessing the parts we played...
Placing your hand near where your heart lay, staring at the mirror hoping it would break. It was a small world, you both went to the same academy, where you met him again after a little time apart, you still sent letters to him though, hoping he read every last word you marked on the page. You manage to reunite there, spending your time with him, talking, walking to classes, and doing everything together.
Oh, what a hit we made...
You felt your heart pumping when you were near him, his nice demeanor making you feel safe. He was your everything, you didn't think he thought the same but you still kept the feelings to yourself. Remember sitting in the library after hours, studying next to him, feeling yourself getting drowsy, almost falling down on your open textbook. "Are you tired?" You turned to him, he didn't look at you, his eyes looking at the textbook. Your cheeks flushed, before he turned to you. You felt your palm getting sweaty, and the pace of your heart increasing, "No" You lied, turning back to your book, "I know when you lie, Y/N" He tapped his shoulder, your eyes widening, "You sure?" You asked. He nodded. You placed your head on his shoulder trying not to make him uncomfortable or distracted. Smiling to yourself, before closing your eyes, you swore to yourself that you saw a little smile on his solemn face.
We came on next to closing...
You were really satisfied when you were with him, a smile never leaving your face. Spending time with him whenever you can, and he loved it too. A smile is always on his face when he sees you in the hallway, running towards him.
Best on the bill..lovers until...
He was familiar with your family. Your mom liked him. Your father respected him. You were happy, but happier when he confessed his feelings to you, your cheeks felt hot. Everything felt like a dream to you, this was what you wanted. His hands were on your face gently, as he pulled you into a kiss, you closed your kiss, loving every minute of it. You felt on top of the world, and your crush liked you back, isn't that what you wanted the whole time.
Love left the masquerade...
Everything took a sharp turn when reaping day came, he was in the top 24th of the best students in the academy, pairing in the Hunger Games as a mentor. You were happy for him, hugging him and giving him kisses. Him, laying down on your lap, as you played with his hair, as he voiced his wants to you. You listened to him, enjoying his ribboning voice to your ears, kissing him on his forehead.
Fate seemed to pull the strings...
Until you saw Lucy Gray, on the holographic screen. You never saw her as an opponent, she actually made you curious, about her voice and how she represented herself. She was from District 12, with a voice only found in the country of Panem, and a nice one too. Your eyes seemed to tune on to the TV screen, watching her. She was going to be the ticket for Coriolanus to win, hoping in your heart that she would win the hungry games. Though she physically didn't suit the standards of a fighter. You gave out prayers at night for her to stay alive for Coriolanus.
I turned and you were gone...
Time... when you Coriolanus would hang out was shortening. His time is consumed by the Hunger Games. Most of his time, his thoughts, and mind went to her. You understood why he couldn't talk to as often as you wanted, but a small part of your heart panged from the thought. Many thoughts rushed through your head, thinking that Lucy Gray would replace you as a seal upon his heart, you tried to wash them out, but couldn't. It was irrational to think that of your boyfriend, you wished you didn't believe too.
While from the darkened wing...
You tried to voice your thoughts to him but were met with a quiet stare. Your face was worried, and your heart was slowly crumbling. "Coriolanus, wait..please!' You exclaimed you cried out, but he kept on walking down the halls, before he turned to you, "Y/N, how can I..pay attention to the games, if you distracting me" That was the first time he raised his voice at him, your eyes widen, you felt your eyes getting glossy. It was the first time he ever raised his voice at you, "C-coryo, I'm just worried, please" You begged, he was getting irritated by you, "I just don't want to lose you" Your voice died out, your chest heaving, tears leaking onto your cheeks. Hearing his footsteps coming closer to you, his hands on your cheeks, "There is nothing going on with me and Lucy Gray, alright" He looked at you in the eyes, and your stomach dropped. Before he released it and walked down to the halls where the games were going to resume.
The music box played on...
Your heart beating in your chest, as you collapsed to the floor, Wanting to tear up but couldn't feel anything to let out. Your heart pumps a sad symphony as you place your hand on top of your chest, holding yourself close.
Sad little serenade...
You watched on your TV, your siblings, and your parents peering into the television. As you walked to the parlor room, looked at the television, looking at Lucy Gray being the last one alive in the games. Your heart jumped, feeling elated for Coriolanus and his victory being secured. You wanted to run to him, hug him, give him kisses on his cheeks, but the pang still ringing in your heart. Knowing that the seal of his love was won by another person, though it wasn't official, you still felt it.
Song of my heart's composing...
You went to the academy, going to your classes. You wanted to see Coriolanus, and hug him after his victory, waiting what felt like hours for you to go and run to him. Entering into the classroom and sitting down, looking to the side where Coriolanus was supposed to sit. It was weird, your dear Coryo. Would never missed any days of the academy anything, he always put his education first. You turned to your left, seeing Clemensia. Wasn't he his partner in class, "Um, excuse me. Have you seen Coriolanus" You asked, hoping for answers for yourself. She shook her head... wasn't it strange. The day after his win, he was magically gone. You needed answers...
I hear it still, and I always will...
The news hit you like a truck, Coriolanus volunteering his time in the military. it was odd, his goal, or dreams better to say, was graduating, and then going to a university, it didn't make sense at all why, he would go that route. He wouldn't do anything, he didn't tell you, right.
Best on the Bill...
You wrote letters, though time did pass
you still wrote letters to him, though you didn't send them, not knowing his direct location, but you hoped he was still alive, safe, and sound. Sending some prayers for him to come back, every day and night. Though you didn't give him a proper goodbye, you still felt you were entitled to do it.
A total of three years passed, you counted them. 365 days every year, waiting for him to come, maybe for you. But you just wanted to see him again.
Charade...
You heard a knock on your door and opened the door to see a matured Coriolanus at your door. Your heart dropped. It didn't feel real to you at all. You wanted to cry and hug him, but you kept yourself composed, looking him in the eyes, he didn't say anything. He offered you a dehorned, red rose. His appearance changed, his blond curls shortened, he was wearing a red suit and his face was stern, less gentle than you remembered. You took it, placing it in your heart, "I missed you" You whispered, feeling tears rolling down your cheeks.
But now, you are in his mess. Going out into the hall, as he waited for you, putting your hands around his, he turned to you, whispering into your ear, "You look beautiful" As you both walked into the awaiting people, waiting to see yours and his appearance.
Hearing the symphony die out, as you reached the shining light of the chandelier above.

[AU] New Age of The Planet of the Apes
Hi, since NoMae is my new Tumblr obsession and I had some free time, I compiled ideas about what I imagine the movie's sequels would be like. My inspiration for this story came from the theory of TheOasisGeek channel on YouTube, as well as the Korean manhwa Leviathan (manhwa).
Rating: Madure.
Edit: 31 th January, 2025.
NOTE: English is not my first language, so a thousand pardons for any grammatical errors.
Summary
In an apocalyptic world, the leader of the Eagle clan must join forces with a group of humans to fight for survival.
Years have passed since the fall of Proximus Caesar. Noa is now the official leader of the Eagle clan, but his people are once again threatened when a young emperor emerges seeking revenge. After an unsuccessful rebellion, Noa has his vocal cords pierced and is forced to leave his homeland. Unable to sing for the eagles, the ape leader guides his people and other defeated clans in search of a haven. To the apes' dismay, the discovery of intelligent echoes provokes territorial tensions. Meanwhile, a mysterious disease is taking hold of planet Earth, affecting both humans and apes.
“The grandfather builds the Empire, the father squanders the Empire, and the son loses the Empire” - Chinese proverb
The origin of the Forbidden Zone {The story of Cornelius & Nova}
After Caesar's death, the apes were finally free from human evil, and lived in peace in the Oasis. As Caesar's second son, Cornelius was expected to inherit his father's place as the next leader. Despite his sagacity, young Cornelius lacks Caesar's imposing stature. And this seems to affect his self-esteem. To cope with the pressure of succeeding his father, he often goes on adventures with his friend Nova. Cornelius likes Nova as an adventure companion, although he considers her slow and bad at climbing. The ape enjoys her jokes and magic tricks.
Nova grows up as Maurice's adopted daughter. She proves to be more intelligent than the other apes and sometimes acts as a teacher in her father's place. In reality, Nova hasn't lost her intelligence, but the disease has reset her brain, so she has lost her memory. For this reason, when she saw her biological father's corpse lying in the snow, she could not show any emotion, even though something in the back of her mind told her she knew the man.
Despite the visible physical differences, when Nova reaches adolescence, she feels physically attracted to the males of the ape community. In her naivety, she believes she will get married and start a family just like the other females. But this illusion is finally shattered when, on receiving unpleasant comments from the other males, “she's very ugly”, she runs into her father's arms. Maurice, for his part, gently explains that Nova is a beautiful girl, but because she is from a different species, she will never find a partner in that community.
To distract her mind, Nova goes on one of Cornelius' adventures to explore the ruins. They find a statue with a face identical to Nova's, below which are the inscriptions: “U.S.A.”. The pair don't know it, but the sculpted face actually belongs to an astronaut who was lost in space, Judy Franklin, one of the first American women to travel in a spaceship. Cornelius takes the statue with him, even though Nova doesn't like the idea. On their way out of the building, they come across an intelligent human who runs away when he realizes an ape accompanies the girl. The possibility that there are others like her intrigues Nova. She needs to know who they are and where they are. Cornelius notices the change in his friend's behavior, but decides not to confront her for fear of angering her.
Maurice also noticed this change who, as an elderly orangutan who probably won't live to the end of the year, advises his daughter to set off on a journey in search of the answers she needs. His friend's decision to leave home initially disgusted Cornelius, because deep down Cornelius wanted Nova to take Maurice's place as a teacher.
Nova consoles him and says that Cornelius will always be in her heart, no matter how far away she is, and to show that he also cares for Nova, Cornelius gives her a necklace with Caesar's symbol on it, so that Nova will always have a reminder of her old home with her.
Years later, Cornelius would marry and start a family. He had three children, Green-Eyes the firstborn, and Galen the second son, and Shiva, the youngest daughter. Green-Eyes and Galen are brothers who haven't got along since they were babies. Both are responsible in their duties, but Green-Eyes always shows arrogance towards the other ape species. For Green-Eyes, chimpanzees are superior to other apes. His father constantly reproached this distorted thinking. Shiva is closer to Green-Eyes. He likes to be around his younger sister because Shiva always praises him and says he's better than Galen.
One day Green-Eyes and Galen are arguing near the ruins when they hear a mysterious noise coming from the abandoned building. On checking, the brothers hear echoes of a mysterious animal; they are intrigued and Green-Eyes enters the site to investigate. Galen tries to stop him, but cannot convince his brother until a human carrying a sword appears, and strikes a blow at Green-Eyes. Luckily, the blade grazes his face. The brothers run off and warn the other apes. A group of apes is sent to check the site and find the creature. Hours later, they return with a familiar face, Nova, alongside a woman and a young boy called Sirius.
Cornelius warmly welcomed Nova, now an older woman and the leader of a community of humans. His father's reaction left Green-Eyes confused and angry, as he expected the woman to be punished because of the arrow. But Galen calms his brother's nerves and Nova apologizes for the unpredictable behaviour of his son, Sirius.
Nova reveals that over the last few years, years, her mission has been to help track down survivors of the apocalypse. She explains that humanity, who is hiding underground, has abandoned the infected. She says that she has gathered many survivors, but that they have now had to abandon their land because of climate change. During the conversation, Sirius points to a small statue placed in the center of the nest. Nova is surprised to see the ancient artifact again, and Cornelius presents her friend with the object. Green-Eyes disapproves of his father's idea and tries to convince Galen, who in turn remains neutral. Galen doesn't trust humans, but he respects his father's decisions.
Little by little, Galen also changes his mind about humans, and even makes friends with Sirius, something that annoys Green-Eyes even more. Taking advantage of the situation, Shiva convinces Green-Eyes that humans could be a future threat. She shows Green-Eyes leaflets from a zoo where chimpanzees are kept in cages. “For now they are few, but when they multiply in number, we will be doomed!”. Knowing that Galen would probably take his father's place, Green-Eyes devises a plan to get rid of his brother and the unwanted humans. Shiva steals Sirius' sword and Green-Eyes uses the object to murder his own brother, but things don't work out as planned. Cornelius would have seen Green-Eyes's crime coming from afar. Heartbroken, Cornelius expels Green-Eyes, who flees the camp with his fiancée and other chimpanzees who share his superiority.
Thus, Shiva ends up becoming Cornelius' sole heir. When Sirius realizes Shiva manipulated Green-Eyes, he convinces his mother that the only way to maintain peace between apes and humans is for the two species to live separately. So Sirius and Shiva sign an agreement and the humans move to a place called the “Forbidden Zone”. Meanwhile, to represent his newly formed clan, Green-Eyes would adopt the color blue in contrast to the traditional color red used by Caesar's people, and his descendants would later domesticate eagles. However, Shiva's reign did not last long, as after a series of disagreements, the chimpanzees, orangutans and gorillas fragmented into different groups. This story was passed down from generation to generation among Nova's descendants.
Mae's Backstory
The Bunkers:
After the simian flu wiped out almost all of humanity, the remaining humans managed to survive in underground bunkers. The bunkers were built before the viral outbreak. The American government to shelter the population in case of nuclear war. The humans who took shelter inside the buildings were military personnel, scientists, or had some connection to politics. Small societies were created inside the hiding places, and each society had its system of rules;
Mae was born in a place divided by a rigid class system, based on the level of skills each person could offer. Therefore, more skilled people receive more resources (food, water, clothing) than less experienced individuals;
Inhabitants' abilities are measured through intelligence and strength tests. In addition, performance during work is constantly evaluated. So if you didn't perform your tasks correctly, you could be demoted or even considered “useless”;
People considered “useless” by the system make up the lowest layer of society. They receive fewer resources, for example, access to health services;
Euthanasia is applied to the elderly and disabled;
Women have had their reproductive rights removed. Women of childbearing age are obliged to take part in reproduction programs. Abortion is only permitted when the pregnancy poses a risk to the pregnant woman's life;
Over time, teaching underwent transformations; some books and teaching materials were banned or altered, and any thought that posed a threat to the system was banned. - A similar situation occurred when Proximus distorted Caesar's ideals;
The surviving humans are indoctrinated to hate apes - Mae grew up hearing that apes were responsible for the destruction of human civilization. At first, she refuses to believe that Noa and Raka are good people;
The Gatherers
Because of limited resources, a group of gatherers are sent to the surface every month to collect supplies, risking their lives to ensure the survival of humanity;
Besides wearing special clothing during their missions, the gatherers use immunizing drugs;
The gatherers have a time limit for remainng outside, and are sterilized after each mission;
For security reasons, the gatherers live in an isolated area of the bunker, without direct contact with members of the community members, communicating through a video calls with their superiors;
The gatherers undergo a military training - For this reason, Mae survived on the surface alone for a long time before crossing paths with Noa and Raka;
About the virus:
The simian flu has mutated yet again, affecting the surviving humans even more. Instead of killing those infected, the mutant strain of simian flu causes humans to lose the ability to speak and become wild animals. The humanity that has isolated itself in the bunkers still carries ALZ-113, but has managed to reverse the side effects thanks to immunizing drugs and the fact that they are not exposed to the new mutation of the virus;
Just as the next generations of apes became more intelligent, humans also developed a stronger immune system. In this case, humans have used genetic engineering to their advantage;
The virus still exists on the surface and can be fatal to humans;
In very rare cases, the retrovirus ends up working and having its intended effect for the first time, the affected humans have accelerated thinking and a higher intellectual level, but still suffer from common side effects of the virus, such as eye and nose bleeding. These humans are considered the next stage in the evolution of Homo sapiens. This human subspecies is known as Mutants;
There are communities formed by this new species hidden around the planet, many of whom disguise themselves as wild echoes as a form of protection, so as not to attract the attention of the apes;
In the old region of Fort Wayne, there is an agricultural community of Mutants, known as the Nova Clan. The name “Nova” is a tribute to the founder and first leader of the community. The clan likes to call the inhabitants of the bunkers “underground people”. It is a matriarchal community, 40% of the participants are mute. Unlike the present thinking of the humans in the bunkers, the community believes in harmony between humans and apes;
Human novas like to call the inhabitants of the bunkers “underdwellers”;
Mae's family:
Mae was raised in a family of gatherers;
Mae's mother's real name is Ellen, but she goes by the alias “Carol”, while her adoptive father was called Joel - this part is confusing, but I'll explain it later:
“Ellen had a twin sister called Carol. As a child, Carol underwent surgery to implant a catheter in her heart, and this experience motivated her to take up medicine. Ellen and Carol loved each other unconditionally, but a tragic event would separate the two sisters. Connor, a family friend, doped and sexually abused Ellen. Being from a wealthy family, Connor got away with it. Ellen, dissatisfied with the jury's decision, would have taken the law into her own hands, but her revenge didn't go according to plan, as Connor's eye was pierced during the attack. Carol, afraid that her pregnant sister will be sentenced to expulsion, assumes the identity of Ellen, and in the end the real Carol is tried and sentenced to death. But Connor devises a plan to send “Ellen”/Carol to the surface. The imposter spends days wandering the apocalyptic earth facing dangerous challenges, such as a clan of chimpanzees who hunt wild humans to feed on their flesh. Until Daena, a descendant of Nova and the current leader of a group, finds her made up of intelligent humans. The revelation that some humans have kept their intellectual capacity surprises Carol and survives the apocalypse, but she also wonders if the government knows of their existence. Daena at first suspects Carol of being some kind of “underground” spy, so she captures her and takes her to her clan. But little by little, with her knowledge of medicine, Carol wins Daena's trust and eventually they fall in love and get married.
Ellen is traumatized after losing her sister, so she raises her daughter to be strong and ruthless. Thus, Mae is taught from an early age not to trust just anyone;
After assuming the identity of “Carol”, Ellen abandons her family and joins the gatherers. There she meets Joel, and falls in love with him;
Mae is Connor's daughter, but grew up thinking her father was Joel;
Mae has a somewhat complicated relationship with her mother. Although Mae understands that her mother loves her, she sometimes feels suffocated by the psychological pressure and would like to have more freedom to go out with her friends;
Mae has good relationship with father, Joel. Joel is a technology geeek and handles the bunker's internal infrastructure and equipment repairs. Mae has always accompanied her father to work since she was a child, and she has also developed a passion for technology;
Mae has two best friends: Raven and Douglas. The trio of friends has known each other since kindergarten - a similar dynamic that Noa shares with Soona and Anaya;
She is nicknamed “Eagle Eyes” by her friends, because she is very good at target practice - the choice of this nickname is deliberate, as I believe the scriptwriters wanted Mae to have a connection with Noa, just as her clan has with the eagles;
At the virtual school, Mae excels in all her subjects;
Mae meets Desmond, another prodigy at the school when they are teamed up by their teacher to do a project together. Although her mother says they could be friends, she despises him because she thinks he has a “God complex”;
Mae's father dies in an “accident” when she is fifteen - in reality he was murdered;
She keeps a music box by her bed. This was the last birthday present she received from her father;
The mission:
Seven attempts have been made to recover the SATCOM chip, and all have failed;
The group is attacked by Proximus apes as they near their destination. Mae sees her mother being killed. Douglas, one of Mae's best friends, sacrifices himself to save her life. In his last moments of life, he confesses his feelings to her;
Mae is the only one in the group to escape alive. She takes refuge in the rubble of a church. She believes she is alone until she notices a mysterious figure next to the statue of the Virgin Mary. This is her aunt, the real Carol. Mae at first believes she is seeing a ghost of her mother. They talk and Mae is disappointed to realize that the woman in front of her is not her mother, but surprised to discover that she has an aunt;
She wonders how Carol can still maintain sentience if the virus is still on the planet. Carol says that some humans are immune, but this can only be discovered within a year. Carol also tells Carol about her past. The woman reveals the atrocities she went through because of the system and even tells her niece that apes are not monsters, as they claim;
— No, you don't understand. They can form family ties, creating monuments, developing their own culture. We can't just ignore the fact that this planet is as much theirs as it is ours.
— Can you believe that? Apes killed their own sister! — questioned Mae.
This statement leaves Mae in a complete state of rage. The girl thinks Carol is a crazy woman;
They fight and Carol disappears. The next morning, Mae continues her journey in search of SATCOM;
After the events of Kingdom of The Planet of the Apes
When Mae returns to the human settlement and gives Korina the decryption key, she also asks for her music box back;
Carol finds Raka. She ends up saving the ape's life and they become friends;
Raka and Noa meet again. Although Raka's ideas are not accepted by the elders of the Eagle Clan, Noa meets the old orangutan on the sly to learn more about Caesar;
Mae sets up a makeshift camp near the bunker. Then one day she realizes that some animal is stealing her food. Mae sets a trap and captures an orangutan cub called Lena. At first, Mae doesn't let her guard down for Lena, but her heart softens when she discovers the cub is yet another child who lost her family to the atrocities of Proximus Caesar. Mae ends up “adopting” Lena and together they end up forming a family;
At some point, Mae discovers that inside the music box was a letter written by her mother, Ellen. In the message, Ellen tells her the whole truth about her past, her real identity, her lost twin sister, and finally who her daughter's father is. Mae bursts into tears at the discovery and Lena comforts her;
Eventually Mae is reunited with Carol. She is surprised that Mae is taking care of an ape and even more so, carrying a Caesar medallion. Mae asks her aunt for forgiveness and they reconcile. Carol invites Mae to live with the Nova clan. Mae had no faith that she could survive alone on the surface for long, especially now that she had a child to look after, so she allied herself with the group of humans;
At first, Mae's presence is not very well accepted, but little by little she gains a foothold in the clan with her technological skills;
THE MAIN VILLAINS:
Desmond Thompson harbors a hatred of apes and believes that they are to blame for humanity having to live in isolation underground. He is a brilliant scientist and currently the head of the science department. His research focuses on developing a biological weapon capable of sterilizing all apes. His father, Oliver Thompson, was one of the creators project, but after a series of fiascos that put his teammates lives at risk, the project was canceled and Oliver was fired. Months later, Oliver committed suicide. Desmond's laboratory is in a makeshift facility on the surface. Thanks to SATCOM, he coordinates the project with the help of other scientists across the country. Desmond displays a great lack of empathy and a god complex, firmly believing that he is the only one capable of saving humanity.
Connor Cunningham is Mae's biological father. He belongs to a high-ranking family in the bunker and obtained his position throught nepotism. Together with Desmond, Connor aims to restore human civilization. To achieve this, Connor contacts Ivar, a young leader, to procure ore and other natural resources. In return, he supplies Ivar's army with low-quality firearms. The supply of firearms allows Ivar to reconquer the former empire of his father, Proximus Caesar. This possession of firearms ultimately leads to enslavement and bloodshed among the ape communities. Connor is a man without scruples and takes pleasure in the apes destroying themselves. He is known to the Eagle Clan as the “merchant of death”.
Ivar is the son of Proximus. Ivar lost his father when he was still a child, and shortly afterwards, witnessed the death of his mother and later had to endure unthinkable abuse and persecution from his family. Ivar develops a strong hatred for the Eagle Clan, especially Noa, and blames them for ruining his life. Over time, Ivar formed an alliance with “Messiah”, a chimpanzee-human hybrid in which he helped eliminate his opponents. Messiah is not his real name, nor does Ivar himself know the origin of this killer, but that doesn't matter as long as he does his job. With the help of a human called Connor, Ivar begins a military campaign to reconquer the lands of the former emperor. Despite his age, he is capable of feats just like his predecessor. However, not everyone is pleased with the new emperor. Because of a trap set by his opponents, Ivar was shot in the head and left in a coma for seven days. He survives but is left with aftereffects. After the assassination attempt, his personality changed drastically. He became more brutal toward his enemies. Even his allies became afraid of the young emperor.

Professor Cornelius was one of Miraz’s most trusted advisors. He had trusted him to raise his nephew, Cassian the tenth after the death of his brother, Caspians father. What Mirza was unaware of that was during Caspians joint lessons with the Professor and one of the ladies of the Telmarine court, that he was being taught all about Narnia history.
Caspian couldn't stand the girl who he worked alongside in his lessons with Professor Cornelius. She was stuck up, arrogant and downright annoying. He didn't care if she was the daughter of Lord Sopespian, he did not enjoy her company.
What he liked least about her was that his uncle was trying to propose for there to be a marriage alliance between the two teenagers. Caspian knew that his uncle needed alliances but there was no way he would ever want to marry you.
You felt the same way. There was no way you would marry someone as naive and ignorant as Caspian. You could see all the other ladies in the court fawning over him and even though you felt a little sick picturing him in love with these other women, you knew they would be better fit for the role; there was no way you could tolerate the Telmarine heir. Your whole life was to be unglued, all thanks to him.
He was insufferable but you would never wish harm on him. As you drifted in and out of sleep, you were unaware of the plot against his life. It was one night that would change your life, the moon high above your heads.
The professor that you shared with Caspian did though. As soon as he heard news of Prunaprismia and the child that she had given birth to earlier in the evening, he raced to Caspians bedchambers.
In the cover of night, he crept into the room and drew back the curtains on his bed to reveal the sleeping prince. He looked so peaceful and Cornelius knew that it was all going to change in a few minutes.
He shook Caspian awake and the young boy stirred for a second before squinting up at him in confusion, “Five more minutes,” he mumbled out, reaching a hand out to push his Professor away.
“We must hurry,” he said and when Caspian heard the urgency in his voice, he sat up and looked at the man he trusted most. He would not be making this up if it wasn’t urgent. “The baby is a son,” His eyes went wide at the realisation of what Cornelius meant, “Come, you must grab the duchess and leave,”
Caspian stood up, wrapping a jacket around himself before he followed Professor Cornelius down the steps. They split off for a second and he rushed into your bedroom.
He’d never seen you so peaceful. You were just lying there asleep, no furrowed brow, no condescending look on your face. He could feel his breath hitch in his throat as he looked at you. You were beautiful.
he shook off that weird feeling in his chest as he reached forward and shook you awake.
You were a light sleeper and when you opened your eyes to see him standing above you, you instantly pulled the covers over yourself.
“What's wrong with you Caspian?” you exclaimed as you reached for the dagger on your bedside table.
He grabbed your wrist, stopping you from brandishing a weapon at him. He looked down at you and he knew that you wouldn't believe him, “Shh, they're coming for me,”
He was right. You didn't believe him, not even for a second. Who was coming for him? You sat up in your bed, looking at him like he was a crazy man.
“You're insane,” you shook your head at him and he gave you that look hee used to give you when you were kids, the one that begged for you to trust him. You were teenagers now, not some starry eyes kids - he had finally gone insane, “Get away,”
Caspian knew that this must have felt like some scene from a book to you and he began to curse Cornelius for not taking this job, “Now that my cousin has been born, my uncle has sent people to kill me,”
That got your attention, “Your uncle is a good leader, he would never-”
You stopped talking when you heard the sounds of yelling outside and a lice that you recognised as General Glozelles voice. He was telling the truth.
Your eyes went wide at the thought and you pushed the blankets off of yourself. His eyes grew wider as well at the sight of you in your nightgown, the slightly sheer fabric flowing off of your body.
“What have you gotten yourself into?” You asked him, turning your head over your shoulder to look at him as you grabbed a bag, stuffing your dagger inside.
“Come with me. If you challenge him he will surely catch you too,” he suggested and you scoffed, slinging your satchel over your shoulder.
“What does it look like I’m doing, of course I’m coming with you,”
Without any hesitation, you followed Caspian down the steps to the stables where your professor was waiting.
He handed you your sword and then Caspian his. You suddenly realised how real this all was and that she was going to have to leave all of this behind for a life that she didn't know.
You hated your father. You hated him more than anyone else in the world and even though he was physically and emotionally abusive to you, his only child, you felt weird at the idea of leaving all you’ve ever known behind.
You took a deep breath before putting the sword into a holster that you strapped round your waist. You pulled a jacket on and looked at Caspian as he sat up on his horse.
He reached a hand out for you and you grasped it tightly, allowing him to pull you up so that you were sitting behind him.
When you saw Professor Cornelius standing there, you realised that he wouldn't be able to come with you. It would look too suspicious.
“You must make for the woods, they won't follow you there,” he said and you both nodded in response.
There was a chill that ran down your spine at the thought. You weren’t superstitious but you knew that there were stories of Narnians who lived in that forest, of trees that came to life and of centaurs and fauns.
The professor dug into his satchel before passing her a conch horn. She looked at it for a second, unsure what this was.
“Do not use this unless at your greatest need,” he stated and though she didn't understand why, she put it into her satchel and nodded her head.
Caspian sat there for a second, silent, “Will I ever see you again?” You had never felt sorry for him until this moment. He sounded like a little boy who was being separated from a parent and your heart broke a little.
“I hope so my prince, I still have so much to tell you both. Be careful. Look after one another,” he said.
Professor Cornelius placed a hand on your shoulder, shooting you both a sad smile before opening the gates
Without any hesitation, Caspian whipped the reins and the two of you started to travel out. You turned around when you got to the gates, a sad expression on your face as you looked at the castle.
This was all you had ever known. You had never travelled outside of the palace walls without a chaperone and now you were starting to wonder if you would ever get to come home.
The ride was bumpy but as you turned around, hands secure on Caspians shoulders, you knew that the two of you would be okay.
You could hear the fireworks and then you turned your head around again, watching the colours explode over the castle as they celebrated the birth of Miraz’s son. It was ironic that the happiest day of his life would be the worst of yours.
What was more important was that you could see the soldiers on their horses chasing after you and Caspian.
”They’re coming, and quickly,” you exclaimed.
You could feel a slight tug of hesitation in Caspian when you reached the border of the forests but he sped through the woods.
There was a chill that ran down your spine as you entered the woods. Everyone claimed they were haunted by the ghosts of the Narnians and even though your professor would always guarantee there was nothing dangerous about it, you couldn't help but feel fear of the Telmarine folk tales.
They crossed a river and you could feel the water resistance, “Hold on,” Caspian said as you reached a particularly deep section of the crossing.
Begrudgingly, you reached an arm around Caspians waist and held on tight, the side of your face pressed into his back.
There was an intimacy about the whole thing and you could feel a weird emotion in the pit of your stomach as you held onto him close. He would be lying if he didnt feel the same thing as you wrapped your arms around him.
Even when you crossed the river, you didn't let go of him and neither of you mentioned it. Him wanting you felt impossible, like some sort of dream. This can’t be the real thing. Can it?
“Are you okay?” He asked after a second, turning back to check on you. The question vanished from your head as you looked at him. There was no sound, only him.
You looked up at him, your heart pounding in your chest. Before you could answer him, the horse ran into a branch and you watched as he was knocked off of the horse.
Within a second, he was knocked off, his foot caught in the stirrups. You leaned down, trying to untangle him from the straps but as you did so, you fell off, hitting your head on a boulder.
Caspian watched as the horse sped off without either of you and when he turned to see you lying there in the middle of the clearing, he felt his heart speed up.
Although he hated you, he never imagined a life without you in it to annoy him. He instantly crawled over despite the pain in his head from having been dragged along the forest floor and he knelt by your side.
He could hear the Telmarine soldiers getting nearer and he knew that he had to make a decision. Run away and leave you there or stay and fight for you both.
He couldn't leave you.
“Wake up, wake up,” he muttered to himself as he tried to shake you awake.
He reached one hand out to grab his sword but it was too far. Before he could get up and grab it to make his final stand, he looked up to see two dwarves emerging from a hut.
He looked at them with wide eyes and instantly pushed you behind him. He wasn't going to let these creatures get you both.
One of the dwarves ran right past him and into the fight. He was confused as to why this dwarf would be so willing to fight against the Telmarines but did not question it.
When Caspian saw the other dwarf heading towards him, he knew what he had to do. He grabbed the conch from your satchel and blew it. The entire woods shook at the sound and he wondered what strange powers this conch had.
He looked down at you, a hand on your face as he realised that this dwarf would probably kill you both at the first chance. As he looked at you, he realised all of his feelings. They bubbled up in his chest and he realised that he wasn't going to be able to leave you.
Caspian reached over for his sword but before he could, the dwarf hit him over the head, knocking him unconscious.
The badger emerged from the hut and looked at the two of you lying there, Caspians hand still on your cheek, your faces turned to look at one another. He knew then that he couldn't let either of you die and that there was something special about the two Telmarine teenagers.
“Help me get them Nikabrik, we must help them,” he said and begrudgingly the dwarf helped to drag the two of you inside.
Little did they know what they had gotten themselves involved in

Ok... The delulu path force me to do it.
Highbottom-Snow
Lets began from guy with beard to right:
Junius, Casca, Marius, Crassus, Cornelius and Julia.
Junius is an oc of mine. He's Casca big brother. He's a bit nerdy that study antropology. He really love his brother and care for him, that's why he disapproved his friendship with Crassus bc he thinks is a bad influence for him.
Oh is CASCA. THE GUY HIMSELF. This young Casca ofc, he's very a "tortured poet" that swear everybody is stupid but him. Clearly gay and have a fucked situationship with Crassus going on. The fact his brother not think well of Crassus only make he want fuck him more.
Marius. (Tigris' father). The OG Snow heir. Is a very focused guy and tend to be very strict. The favorite son, he never get in any trouble and get excellent grades. Not get a deep relationship with his brothers because get a bit isolated of them.
Here come the OG IDIOT: CRASSUS. Middle child AND YOU CAN TELL. His mom slander him daily. Arrogant brat. Most annoying person in the room. He hates womans so much that is the gayest guy around. He likes Casca but will PREFER be shoot than admit it, Julia is the only woman he not want vomit when talk with.
Cornelius (the name is A JOKE that maybe you will get if you are a loong time in THG fandom). Guy that get bored easy. Not have any idea what to do with his life. Everybody say is a weird guy. He is same age than Julia and think she's adorable, have a crush in secret with her and will never confess bc not want Crassus broke his nose.
Julia Dorrance (in the future Snow). She's very shy and delusional. Can sing and play the piano. Good vibes girl that in reality is selfish and cruel. Lesbian with comphet that don't know she can date girls, she like Crassus bc he treat her as an "adult" (she's a teen) and is manly.

*Just another day in the office*
Casca: Satire?
Prof.Sickle: That ain’t me.
Casca: Satellite?
Prof.Demigloss: is that me?😀
Prof.Sickle: No, you’re Professor Dementia Demigloss, remember?
Prof.Demigloss: I remember.
Prof.Sickle: Really?
Prof.Demigloss: No, I don’t remember.
Prof.Sickle: Of course you don’t.
Prof.Demigloss: What are we talking about again? Cheese? Waffles? Are we talking about my waffles?😀
Prof.Sickle: No, it’s nothing.
Prof.Demigloss: But my waffles-
Prof.Sickle: Just keep checking our children’s final exam papers.
Prof.Demigloss: Ok! Another zero for Creed, Breen, Ring, and Plinth!
Prof.Sickle: Which Ring?
Prof.Demigloss: Both.☺️
Prof.Sickle: But Apollo did fine!
Prof.Demigloss: Equality!
Prof.Sickle: You’re cruel.
Prof.Demigloss: Thanks.
Prof.Sickle: That wasn’t a compliment, old man.
Prof.Demigloss: Banana?
Prof.Sickle: Ew.
Casca: Styrofoam, where art thou?
Prof.Click: Who’s Styrofoam?
Prof.Sickle: That’s you, Click.
Prof.Click: I’m not styrofoam.
Prof.Sickle: I know. We all know that you’re little Ms. Satellite.
Prof.Click: I’m not satellite!
Casca: Ah! Satellite, my personal therapist, you’re here!
Prof.Click: My name’s not freaking satellite! It’s Satyria! Satyria Click!
Casca: Whatever you say, Saturday.
Prof.Click: I hate you.
Casca: Hate you too.😊
Prof.Demigloss: I have a question.
Casca: And I don’t want to hear it.
Prof.Demigloss: What score should I give young Mr.Snow?
Casca: A perfect score. Duh.
Prof.Demigloss: Ah! Young love.🥰
Casca: That’s right!
Prof.Sickle: Snow’s a minor.
Casca: He’s my boyfriend.
Prof.Click: Coriolanus?
Casca: Who’s Cornelius?
Prof.Click: Your sugar baby?
Casca: Wrong. My darling Crassus Xanthos Snow is my boyfriend, fiancé, husband, and the beloved mother of my 7 gorgeous children!
Prof.Demigloss: You have kids?
Casca: Yes, I do. I’m married.
Prof.Click: 7 kids?! How?!
Casca: The magical storks of the sacred north gave them to us.
Prof.Click: Really?
Prof.Sickle: They f*cked.
Prof.Click: Dean Highbottom’s not a virgin?!
Prof.Sickle: Yeah, he tragically stole Crassus Snow’s virginity.
Prof.Click: That was real?!
Casca: As my eternal love for him!
Prof.Click: Poor Snowy.😔
Casca: Of course! My darling Crassus and I wanted a big beautiful happy family.☺️
Prof.Sickle: Are you f*ckin’ drunk right now?
Casca: That’s confidential.
Prof.Sickle: Are you?
Casca: None of your business.
Prof.Sickle: You literally smell like a bottle of whiskey.
Casca: That’s my natural scent.
Prof.Click: And posca.
Casca: That’s my special cologne.
Prof.Demigloss: But why are your eyes wet?
Casca: It was raining.
Prof.Sickle: Right. You were crying again, weren’t you?
Casca: No.
Prof.Click: He was crying and shouting in front of the parking lot earlier. I saw it.
Casca: Liar! I’m happy, married, and my totally real, not fake gorgeous children love me!
Prof.Demigloss: What’s their name?
Casca: What name?
Prof.Demigloss: The names of your gorgeous children with Crassus.
Prof.Click: *takes out her phone* Well, don’t mind me.
Prof.Sickle: Stop recording.
Prof.Click: No.
Casca: Um- I-
Prof.Click: Don’t be shy now, Cassy. We’re all ears.
Casca: You’re all mean and I’m not telling!
Prof.Sickle: Then you’re delusional as always, you stupid liar!
Casca: I’m not lying! I’m Casca!
Prof.Sickle: You’re single, unmarried, and miserable!
Prof.Click: Like you, Sickle?
Prof.Sickle: I’m not miserable!
Casca: And I’m married!
Prof.Sickle: No, you’re not!
Casca: I’ve been married to the same gorgeous Snow since our legendary University days!
Prof.Sickle: Then tell us their freaking names, you fool!
Casca: Fine! My gorgeous children’s names are. . .
Prof.Sickle: Are what?
Casca: Crassus the 2nd!
Prof.Sickle: Obviously.🙄
Casca: Casca the 2nd!
Prof.Sickle: Lame.
Casca: Cressida!
Prof.Click: That’s kinda pretty.
Casca: Crasca!
Prof.Sickle: Really?
Casca: Cascada!
Prof.Click: The singer?
Casca: Cassandra!
Prof.Click: That’s cool. She was a princess of Troy.
Casca: And little Crassus the 3rd!
Prof.Click: You named your oldest and youngest children after dear darling dead Crassus again?
Casca: Of course! They were born gorgeous like their mother!
Prof.Click: Crassus was married!
Prof.Sickle: To a woman-
Casca: To me!
Prof.Sickle: When?
Casca: When what?
Prof.Sickle: When did you marry?
Casca: After the war.
Prof.Sickle: Where?
Casca: Over the hills, inside my mansion, under the willow tree.
Prof.Click: Cool. Three weddings.
Prof.Demigloss: That’s so romantic!
Prof.Sickle: Stop f*ckin’ living and swimming in denial!
Casca: How dare you speak to me like that! I’m your nicest boss and my Crassus is the beloved mother of my 7 gorgeous children!
Prof.Sickle: You’re a fool! A fool!
Casca: No salary raise or holiday breaks for you!
Prof.Sickle: F*ck this! *flips a tiny table* I’m going home!
Casca: That’s great! Gym class was yesterday anyway, Sicko!
Prof.Sickle: Do you want me to throw you out of the window?!
Prof.Click: Again?
Casca: You can’t do that! I’m the school’s favorite daddy!
Prof.Demigloss: No, you’re not. I’m the favorite. I can talk to dogs, wild squirrels, and baby cats.
Prof.Sickle: Kittens.
Prof.Demigloss: I’m pretty sure they’re called baby cats.
Prof.Sickle: They’re f*ckin’ kittens, you crusty dinosaur!
Prof.Click: Obviously, it’s me. I’m the favorite. I’m their therapist.
Prof.Sickle: You’re not a f*ckin’ therapist!
Prof.Click: Jealous, Sicko?
Prof.Sickle: You’re an idiot.
Prof.Click: Oh, I’m so hurt. Help me. Someone call Officer Joe. I’m being attacked by Miss Sicko again.
Prof.Sickle: Then come closer so I can properly strangle you and your stupid acting skills while we wait!
Prof.Click: Oh, no! Not my neck! I’m just an innocent little lamb!
Prof.Sickle: Innocent my ass!
Coryo: *walks in* Good morning, Professor Demigloss.
Sejanus: Hi, Professor!
Urban: Yo, give me back my lucky calculator. I need it.
Prof.Demigloss: Hello, children! How can I help thee? Candy?
Urban: No thanks.
Prof.Demigloss: Cheese?
Urban: Ew. I’m gonna be sick.
Prof.Demigloss: Crispus is sad now.
Coryo: Are you still available for our class interview tomorrow?
Prof.Demigloss: Of course! Anything for Crassus Snow and his super rich District 2 husband.
Sejanus: I’m the husband.
Urban: Obviously.🙄
Casca: How dare you! I’m the rich husband! I’m the real sugar daddy!
Sejanus: Suck it, loser!
Casca: Suck a d*ck!
Sejanus: Coryo’s mine!
Casca: He’s mine!
Sejanus: We’re getting married!
Casca: We’re already married!
Coryo: Ew. That’s illegal.
Casca: Crassus?🥺
Coryo: Bye. *runs away*
Sejanus: Wait for me, Babe!
Casca: Crassus, come back! I need you! Our children need you!😭
Prof.Click: Oh, Panem! Poor Cassy Cry Bottom is crying like a baby again!
Casca: Leave me alone, you witch!
Urban: Lol. I’m telling Felix.
Prof.Demigloss: And you, Turban? How can sweet old Crispus help you?
Urban: Sir, it’s Urban and where’s my lucky calculator?
Prof.Demigloss: My dog ate it.
Urban: I hate you! *flips a table and runs away crying* I’m telling Capitol News, you monster!
Prof.Demigloss: Monster?! Call the National Security too!
Casca: So Styrofoam-
Prof.Click: I’m not styrofoam.
Casca: How’s life?
Prof.Click: None of your business.
Casca: Can we talk?
Prof.Click: No, I’m busy.
Casca: I want to talk.
Prof.Click: No.
Casca: Pretty please?🥺🙏
Prof.Click: What do you want?
Casca: Nothing.
Prof.Click: My time or my delicious chocolate waffles?
Prof.Demigloss: Chocolate? Chocolate waffles?! Where?!
Casca: Let’s go talk in my office.
Prof.Click: Let me guess, you want poor alcoholic me to drink whiskey with you while we both wallow in our tears and watch Mean Girls 2.
Casca: Yes, I need my therapist.
Prof.Sickle: She’s not a therapist!
Prof.Click: I am too!
Prof.Sickle: You’re a fraud!
Prof.Click: Sicko, look-
Prof.Sickle: No.
Prof.Click: Are you bullying me because of my high salary?
Prof.Sickle: What high salary?
Prof.Click: You’re super jealous of me and my salary, aren’t you?
Prof.Sickle: Jealous?! Why would I be f*ckin’ jealous of you?!
Prof.Click: Because I get paid more money as a fake therapist than you.
Prof.Sickle: What?!
Casca: Hello?! I need my therapist!
Prof.Click: Got to go, Sicko! Mean Girls 2 and 5 gallons of whiskey are waiting for me inside! Bye!
Prof.Sickle: It’s Sickle! And Mean Girls 2 sucks!
Prof.Click: Whatever you say, sister.☺️
Prof.Sickle: We’re not sisters!
Prof.Click: Best friends! Yey!
Prof.Sickle: Go away!
Prof.Click: Boo. Bye.
Prof.Sickle: *sighs* Peace and quiet-
Prof.Demigloss: Waffles?🥺
Prof.Sickle: No.

I read the ballad of songbird and snakes and I have had one thing in mind recently. I think my favorite villain is the humanized villain. Not in like Loki "daddy issues" Laufeyson which make you sympathise with the villain, but you know... in the worst times of humanity, there are people that live normal lives, have loves and interests and all of that stuff that makes you a human, and same time do atrocities or heartless things. Right now, there are people living their lives feeding like homeless cats but at the same time supporting horrible laws. It's just... who they are as a person.
I talked about ballad of songbird and snakes and my hot take was that every single young conservative man would do the same things Cornelius Snow does in that book. And not even in like mocking way but like stone cold realistic way. And that makes him more terrifying in my mind than if he was this evil moustache twirling dude.

I spent today writing up mini-bios of my great-grandparents for a genealogy project I'm working on. I want to make all the research I've done accessible to everyone in the family, and I want to include a real sense of who our various ancestors were as people, for those who didn't have the opportunity to know them. Here are a couple examples:
Gilbert James McKeehan - Early Life
Gilbert James McKeehan was born 15 September 1903 in Walla Walla, Washington, the only child of Elijah Brewer McKeehan and Nora Belle Crumley. Gilbert’s father had been previously married, and Gilbert had several older half-siblings, but he was his mother’s only child. Nora doted on Gilbert. When he showed an aptitude for music, she bought him a piano and lessons with money she earned cleaning houses.
In June 1921, when he was 17 years old, Gilbert enlisted in the Army National Guard, where he served as a Private and clerk in the Battery A Corp Artillery. He was promoted to Private 1st Class in January 1923. In 1921-1922, historic Fort Walla Walla was converted into a hospital for military veterans (now the Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center). Soon after it opened, Gilbert began working as a messenger for the hospital. In May 1924, he was transferred to Company F 161st Infantry. He was discharged in June of that year, but continued to work for the veterans hospital until at least 1942.
At 5 feet 10 inches, with brown wavy hair and hazel eyes, Gilbert was handsome, charming, and a talented musician, able to play the piano by ear. He had a playful sense of humor and a reputation as a ladies’ man. During the 1920s and early 1930s, Gilbert played piano and sang for the Chesterfields, a band named for a popular brand of cigarettes at that time. The band’s motto was “we satisfy!” Other members of the Chesterfields included Earl Schoenberger on horn, Ralph Augustavo on trumpet, Ted Cleaver on guitar, and Pearly Mo on drums. Gilbert served as the band’s manager, and arranged all the music. In 1930, the Chesterfields recorded an album, which included a cover version of Émile Waldteufel’s “The Skater’s Waltz”. Gilbert occasionally played with other local bands as well, such as Bob Meyers’ Whitmaniacs. The bands played all over, including at the Metronome in Walla Walla, Edgewater Park in Wallula, and occasionally in Prescott.
Rowena Helen Armstrong - Early Life
Rowena Helen Armstrong was born 18 January 1903 in Prescott, Washington, the eighth of ten children of Leo Cornelius Armstrong and Mary Catherine “Molly” Martin. She was baptized at the Catholic Church of Saint Patrick in Walla Walla on 26 April 1903. By the time she came along, Rowena’s oldest siblings were already grown, and beginning to start families of their own. Before she turned fourteen, three of her siblings had died. In consequence of this, Rowena grew up very close with her sister Bonnie, who was just twenty months younger than Rowena.
Rowena grew up on her family’s farm on the edge of Prescott. Her mother called Rowena her “angel”, but that didn’t mean Rowena never got up to mischief. She was a lively girl, with an infectious giggle, and a love of fun. Sometimes she would jump off the roof of the barn, using her father’s big umbrella as a parachute to “float” down. She and her friends would tease a young teacher named Mr. Flower to make him blush, calling him “Herr Blossom”. “Once I buried a kid under the snow, right over her head,” she confided to her grandchildren. “But she could still breathe. We fixed it so she could. And when we went back into class after recess the teacher wondered where she was. I buried her at recess – she begged me to!”
When Rowena was eleven, she and her sister Bonnie were playing in the hay barn, where they were forbidden to go, because it was dangerous. They climbed up the pile of hay, halfway to the roof of the barn, and jumped up and down on it, until Bonnie slipped, and fell into the pile. She almost suffocated, but Rowena pulled her out in time. They swore to each other that they would never tell anyone what had happened, for fear of getting into trouble – and they never did, until Rowena told her grandchildren about it decades later.
In the winter, Rowena and her friends went sledding on Skyrocket Hill, Starbuck Hill, Meadowlarks, and at Whetstone Creek. In the summer, they played in the Touchet River, which was dangerous because Rowena did not know how to swim. Sometimes, for special celebrations, they traveled north, taking a ferry across the Snake River to picnic at scenic Palouse Falls.
Rowena was an excellent student. In the eighth grade, she served as her class president, and represented Prescott School in a regional spelling championship. In high school, she took classes in Advanced Home Economics. However, this did nothing to curb her wild side. A teacher at Prescott remembered the school putting on a carnival, and 17-year-old Rowena performed a flamenco dance in full skirts, on a tabletop, with a rose between her teeth.
The summer she was 18, Rowena hitched a ride on the mail truck to visit her eldest sister Maude in Dayton. On the way there, the mail truck was involved in a head-on collision, and Rowena went through the windshield, cutting her face and neck on the glass. When her mother saw her, she threw the oil can she was carrying over her head, cried out, “Oh my God!”, and fainted dead away. Molly couldn’t bear the sight of blood. Maude just said, “The best looking one of the bunch, and she has to get her face cut up.” Fortunately, there was no permanent scarring.
Next on the list: a section about Gilbert and Rowena's (brief) marriage, then separate sections for their later lives and subsequent marriages, and a mini bio of their only child, my grandmother, whose fault it is that I'm doing any of this in the first place!

snow does indeed fall when cordelia, known to most as simply "cora", is born to the president's golden son in the midst of a long winter. the flakes swirl in their steady descent, each as distinctive and delicate as the next and altogether indicative of the daughter panem's first family had just welcomed into their world. and make no mistake, it was theirs.
not just the youngest member of the revered snow family but the only daughter belonging to coriolanus' line too, cora was doted upon by all who met her and provided a silver spoon upbringing unlike any other. she was simultaneously a chess piece key to a game much larger than she could comprehend at her young age but one they were all keen to safeguard and so, it was decided that she'd be kept as pure as her surname might suggest, for as long as the family could afford.
channels were blocked, images blurred and the unbecoming reality of the games her beloved grandfather helped facilitate was to be concealed from her. the pomp and pageantry of it all cora was allowed to partake in but the blood and brutality, the children slaughtered for sport... that she was so graciously spared from. it was in this valiant quest to shield her from the unsavoury parts of life however, that her family had unknowingly sown a seed of discontent within the young girl that was certain to one day bloom.
blossom she does, becoming something of a princess to the capitolites... and the comparison isn't entirely unfounded either. for her life reflected the lives of those fabled women far more closely than many realised. residing within the walls of a tall, ivory tower, reinforced by her unique position in the family, cora spent a great deal of time under her grandparents' wing whilst her family sustained their status'. often seeking refuge amongst the shelves of the presidential mansion's library, the young girl would listen in at doors and feel oh so victimised whenever the mansion grew occupied by the usual onslaught of extravagant partygoers — her free rein over the house rudely cut short. more often than not, she'd be spotted hanging over the bannisters on those nights, peering down at them all in wonder, dreaming up what it was they were discussing so feverishly. nothing could have quite prepared her for the reality.
the snow's had wielded power as if it were limitless for over half a century but it ultimately proved futile against a girl's mind grown curious. cora had attended a tribute parade, only to be set upon by a tribute who felt they had nothing to lose and when they were blown sky high several days, mere moments after entering the arena, the vivid imagery of the incident became inescapable... leading to a questioning wherein the truth had no other option but to out. cora had lived in blissful ignorance all her life. it was a privilege no child of the districts had ever been afforded and it was that very fact that made the divulgence so much worse in cora's eyes. her heart thoroughly torn in two, she felt everything she had ever known or held dear begin to rot in her mouth yet the horror was silent.
plastering a smile to her face, a skill she'd swiftly come to perfect, the president's granddaughter feigns interest in the deadly games from then on. looking at cora, she appeared every bit the pretty, little socialite her parents had groomed her to be and in resigning herself to that role, she played the part effortlessly. it was hereditary after all. looking inward was a very different story however. cora was committed to rectifying how complicit she'd been raised to be in any way she could. starting small but growing ever wary in the knowledge that she would never be viewed as her own person to those she sought to ally herself with, but rather the ideal weapon to hurt her grandfather the most with. flanked by peacekeepers at almost every turn, all in the name of "protection", the leash she'd previously thought of as short had grown even shorter still in the years following that initial incident. whilst the other members of her family fought amongst themselves, usually for coriolanus' approval, cora tried to take herself off the board entirely, choosing to dedicate herself to her academic pursuits instead.
it was during this time at the academy that she made the acquaintance of plutarch heavensbee at a gala one evening and despite being astonished at just how he'd come to know of her innermost turmoil, hidden between the lines of his amusing colloquialisms, the man presented her with an opportunity to change the course of history, for the better.
katniss everdeen had, unknowingly, sparked rebellion in the hearts of citizens all across their "united" nation, the capitol included and her win of the 74th games only emboldened cora. content in playing her growing adoration for "the girl on fire" off as some adolescent fascination with the enduring gossip surrounding her hair, her clothes, her love life... cora grew more acquainted with the idea of revolution than ever before. her elevated position afforded her access and insight into the very heart of the capitol itself: the presidential mansion and so, she began to set about changing the hearts and minds of her contemporaries. it was time to act.

A Ballad of Song Birds and Snakes
Rating: ✨✨✨✨✨
Young Cornelius Snow might be broke but he hides it well in the elite capital prep school he hopes will land him a scholarship that will launch a successful career and help him to support his family. But he faces one unexpected challenge, mentoring a young singer in the annual Hunger Games. If he can draw all eyes to her and the Games, he can win the future of his dreams.
This really blew me away and gave me so much to think about. Beautifully made, incredible, nuanced acting especially the leads, such fantastic music. Can’t praise it enough and really really looking forward to reading the book.

The ugliest fam now with picrews 😨 or the Snows!!!
Random data bc I think I say nothing in the og post☝️
1st. Stupid: Marius. I dont hate him too much but he have a ridiculous moustache. A very serious and focused guy. Honestly is a bored, a tasteless bitch but at least is a gentleman? The OG Heir. Clearly the favorite of his dad and mom. Only person that Crassus not annoy (he hit that bitch when they were children and have a peaceful existence since then).
Its murder by a rebel complot in D13 years prior the war. His wife is the most cool girl around. She do have a personality unlike him and its very charming. Work as a model and hated by Grandma Snow with all her soul. She try to keep her last name (only bc shes a Snow from before. Shes their cousin
2nd Stupid: Crassus. HOPE HE WAS SHOTED IN THE MOUTH BC HE NEED SHUT UP. Annoying middle child that beg attention of his dad and mom. His mother is his hater n.1 except when hes dead. Hypermasculine. Practice box and like hit his little brother who also treat as his own servant just bc 😭. Shonen main guy complex (hate womans so much its the gaytest person around). Definition of "chinga quedito." An absolute brat. Brag over his height (hate to say hes indeed tall). He believes its the black sheep until hes the heir and suddenly he always respect tHE HONOR OF SNOW FAMILY!!!
His mother roast him for his ridiculous extremely young wife. He and Julia are besties and the worst accidental lavender marriage on story. Actually its a very abusive violent relationship based in gr**ming. Both are literal OBSSESED with someone that isnt the person they married (Casca and Aelia!!). Julia spoiled Coriolanus a lot and was possesive with him. Also Julia can sing and play the piano. She was a very overprotected sickness girl.
Erinna is the name it was supposed to have Coriolanus little sister. We know Crassus die in D12.
3rd Stupid: Cornelius. Is name is a bad joke that I found hilarious. A weird guy. His parents ignored him. Die alone and pathetic in a hospital severe injuried. He have a crush with Julia who is his age actually!! Never do anything bc its scared of Crassus. He was always trying to look for a purpose on life. Was good writing poetry but never no one know abt it. Not even him.
