Sesshomaru:
Curiosity. That's what he first started to feel towards watching you completely transfixed on the book you had in your hands. However, his intrigued stares were never granted a glimpse because when he would approach, your hands would tightly clasp the book closed.
As if you could sense when his eyes darted towards your artwork , you never failed to keep it just out of his view unknowingly adding to his ever-growing interest.
Your hands moved gracefully along the paper , as if it was dancing along the pages with the pencil held between your fingertips. Attention immersed in the lines forming in front of you , while a slight breeze annoyingly moved a strand of hair into your eyes causing you to pause.
"What is that book in your hands y/n? Is it for the school you speak of in your time?" he decides to ask while staring at you questioningly, the curiosity showing slightly on his features.
You hurriedly placed the book in your bag as he moved closer to the tree your back was now leaning against. The sketches were far too revealing of your feelings for him to see. No, if he saw these sketches he would see every emotion you had for him. You weren't ready to know if those feelings would be returned or denied.
"It's a sketchbook. Some of them are for my art class , however a majority of them are just so I can have a little piece of this era to keep with me while I'm at home." you said with a blush starting to grow pink on your cheeks.
"Hm."
He looked away from you as he looked towards the sky instead, sunlight catching his golden eyes making them almost glow. All you could picture was drawing the scene before you as soon as possible before you forgot how his silver hair blew in the slight breeze.
Annoyed. He starts to become annoyed when you had let Rin look into the sketchbook but you still went through immense effort to keep his eyes from looking at what you were creating. Why am I not allowed to see your art , do you not think of me as worthy enough to look upon it?
"Y/N! Y/N! look at these flowers I picked! Can you draw the same ones for me?" Rin had asked sweetly while placing her hands on your knees while you had been sketching.
"Of course I can." A smile effortlessly taking over your features as you speak to the girl.
"It's beyond me why you would want something useless like a drawing of a flower, child!" Jaken made his irritation known with a shrieking voice.
You start to diligently draw the flowers provided to you as you tune out the conversation.
"Oh Jaken! y/n told me that even though the flowers may wither away someday. However, if I have a drawing of the flowers then I can always keep them with me." she cooed happily.
"Don't you think so too , Lord Sesshomaru?" The little girl bubbly questioned
"Hm." was his only reply.
"That reminds me, Jaken, there's one of you and Rin together here."
You remembered suddenly as you finished the sketch of the flowers, quickly turning to the page of the drawing before anyone could see the others that plagued the pages of your sketchbook.
"WHAT! You drew me without my permission!" he screeches loudly.
Sesshomaru's irritation started to rise as the conversation grew on. Jaken's inherent gasp of wonder as Rin and him looked upon your sketchbook and the sequel of happiness she had praised upon you.
You happily gave her the sketch of the flowers she tasked you with, and she quickly was treating it as her prized possession.
"Lord Sesshomaru! Don't you want to see the drawing y/n made for me? It's so beautiful!"
"No , I don't need to set my eyes upon such trivial endeavors." It was said with such disgust that Rin had paused slightly and silence filled the air.
He had said the words out of irritation and annoyance, however you wouldn't know that.
Quickly without even sparing a glance towards the paper in Rin's tiny hands , had he stood from his spot next to the tree and left the campsite.
Leaving you with silent tears you refused to let spill in his wake.
Disappointed. He's disappointed in himself for allowing such insolent behavior. He had acted in such a childish way that he could only imagine his younger half brother would have reacted towards Kagome. He wasn't like him , he was more mature , more refined. So why is it bothering him so much anyways?
Was it because you never let him see the art inside that mysterious book?
Or was it the fact he had learned you had drawn the others in his pack and easily let them look upon your art while you still kept him at a distance ?
His thoughts plagued him as he stared at the full moon in the silence of the night.
Confused. When you had apologized the next morning while packing up the camp. There was nothing for you to apologize for which had hurt his pride more than when he acted so childish in front of you.
"Do not give apologies for something that is not needed."
There was no reply from you as a shocked expression formed on your features.
He knew he needed to atone for his behavior , however per his customs he would rather do so the right way rather than a lackluster apology, so he had to wait.
Guilty. After that night , he noticed you had stopped drawing as much as you used to. Before you had used almost every bit of your free time to draw, now it was replaced with you picking flowers with Rin or making small talk with Jaken and himself.
A few weeks had gone by since that night, and you had yet to even take out the sketchbook more than once a week much to his dismay.
Even though he never outwardly expresses it , watching you draw under the shade of the trees as Rin pranced around in the fields of flowers with Jaken at her heels brought a sense of peacefulness over him.
The furrowed eyebrows in concentration as your hands moved the pencil gracefully almost effortlessly across the sketchbook resting in your lap. A slight breeze rippling through your hair and making one strand a bit into your eyesight. Before you had moved the strand behind your ear to stop it constricting your line of view.
He knew you loved to draw and apparently had a gift for it from the praise Rin and Jaken had given you that night. He didn't want his childish words to keep you from doing something you desired to do.
He took a moment to peek at you over his shoulder , your eyes glancing at the clouds above. A slightly sad expression overtaking your facial features before you had made eye contact with him almost as if you had known his eyes were on you.
He quickly moved his eyes forward to gaze at the trail in front of him, a stoic expression while his heart hammered in his chest. This was new, he never felt this way before. He never felt the need to make someone want to smile more strongly than he did right now, and he had no idea on how to accomplish that with you.
Content. He led you aside one night to a river near the campsite. The moon light was reflecting off the water enchantingly and fireflies decided to dance along grass nearby.
"You no longer draw , how come ? Is it not something you desire to do?" he asked with a stoic expression as gold eyes made contact with e/c, filling the silence between you two.
"Oh , I just figured maybe I should take a break from it for now, plus my sketchbook is almost full so until my next trip home I'm a bit limited."
He noticed how pink dusted your cheeks before you quickly looked away. A smirk slightly formed on his lips at the sight , he liked seeing a blush form on your cheeks more than he previously would have realized.
"You apologized before for something that didn't need your apology."
"Oh, yes, that's right." you stammer out not seeing where this conversation could be heading.
"Do not do so again. If you know you aren't at fault , don't lower yourself to others' bad behavior."
You stood there stunned, not quite sure what to say before uttering a quick " Yes." when his stern eyes reached yours.
When that conversation happened you had mostly apologized in order for there to be no ill will between you two and make sure he wasn't upset at you. Never would you have imagined he would tell you twice now not to apologize for something so trivial in the long scheme of things.
"If anyone needs to apologize , it would be this Sesshomaru for the unsightly attitude I had given you. I should have told you this before now , however it is a yokai custom to come bearing gifts when asking for forgiveness."
Sesshomaru pulls out a set of what looks like custom made art tools. They were beautifully handcrafted with fine luxurious materials, more than likely yokai crafted at that.
A gasp of awe escapes your lips as your fingers gingerly gloss over each of the tools, you focus mostly on drawing but you could now expand your art to other mediums such as painting if you so desired.
Your heart had swelled to the brim with affection and happiness that spilled out in the form of tears running down your cheeks.
"Is it not to your liking." he asked, his lips forming a tight frown.
"It's beautiful." you say with what you're sure is the happiest smile you ever graced him before.
Yes , he is content with this for now.
Realization. Later that night as you two were walking back to the campsite, you ended up asking him why he had responded in such a way in the first place. When he had told you how he felt irritated about the others getting to see your art, while he felt left out and cast aside, you instantly started to feel guilt weigh down your shoulders.
"There's a reason I never let you see. It's not a good reason, but I was just embarrassed of what you would say once you saw what I draw everyday." you say while heat spreads to your cheeks.
"Why would you be embarrassed of showing this Sesshomaru?"
You quickly take the sketch book out of your bag and hand it to him before you can change your mind. He eyes you while his clawed fingers carefully open the book in his hands and you look away, embarrassed to watch his eyes linger on the sketches.
He's silent as his fingers graze the pages within , silently turning the pages every few moments after he takes in the contents of the page before.
"These are all sketches of .." he trails off in amazement, his eyes taking on a softer look than you have ever seen before.
"They are all sketches of you. yeah there's Rin or Jaken , maybe a beautiful valley every now and then , but you are what I sketch everyday. You are what I like to see most even when I'm in my era and not by your side."
That's when he realized the feelings he had towards you this whole time wasn't just ordinary feelings for a companion in his pack , or a human he had just happen to keep by his side.
He wanted to keep you by his side. He wanted to always make you smile the way he you are now with your eyes glowing and your cheeks dusted with a pink hue.
Most importantly, he couldn't be just content with you as a companion for much longer.
I never want to let y/n go.
"Y/n I desire to see everything you draw from now on."
"Of course" you reply shyly.
"You are stunningly beautiful when you blush like that. If only I had the skills you possess in order to show you as you had shown me."
Wide eyes catch the smirk dancing on his lips before he walks towards the campsite , hand still wrapped tightly around your sketchbook as he did.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ Bonus Scene:
"Sesshomaru , I've been meaning to ask this. where did you get these art tools ?"
He glanced down at you as your head rested on his shoulder, your new sketchbook on your thighs as you gracefully sketched a beautiful scene of the two of you this time under a cherry blossom tree.
A pleased smile graced his usually stoic features as his eyes became softer at the sight. "I had them specially made from a yokai craftsman in my territory, the day Jaken was left to guard you two I had gone to collect them."
You smile happily as you nuzzle your face into his shoulder more as a slight breeze whipped some strands of hair onto your face.
He reaches a clawed hand towards you elegantly , placing the strand back behind your ear taking a few seconds to pull his fingers away before smirking at the obvious heat rising to your cheeks.

Shoto Todoroki:
Curiosity. He started to notice you would often be sitting close to the windows in the dormitory, with all of your attention focused on the sketchbook on your lap. You would never once glance up at the environment around you, not even when one of your classmates was usually loud. His interest peaked , he couldn't help but wonder what you had been drawing for days on end.
Shoto had decided to try and take a glimpse at your artwork after watching you work dedicatedly on the page before beneath your smudge stained fingers.
The sketchbook had been slammed closed before his eyes could see the mysterious artwork hidden within, only feeding into his curiosity even more. You had given him a quick glance , making eye contact before placing the book safely in your bag.
"It's not polite to look at someone's personal belongings without permission, Todoroki."
His eyes glazed over to the bag that now held the notebook that is just out of his reach, before returning his eyes to stare directly into yours evenly almost as if stating a challenge.
"I'm just curious as to what you are drawing that has you so transfixed."
A smile makes its way to your lips.
"Ever hear that curiosity killed the cat."
You hastily made your way to your dorm room, bag in tow. The thumping of your heart was echoing in your ears as you walked. That was close, too close for comfort. If he had seen inside, he would know just how deeply of a crush you have been harboring for him since you first met him.
While he still stood there, piecing together your sentence.
Were you saying I would die for being too curious?
Content. Since the day he tried to take a glimpse of your sketchbook , you had been careful to not let him approach too closely. Making sure that if you had sensed him , you would immediately close the book in your hands. However, the curiosity he felt started to fade. Taking in the sight of you drawing so earnestly and with such dedication was art in itself.
You were enchanting , eyes focused on the pages before you. a firm grip on the sketchbook as it laid on your lap and your remaining hand danced across the paper delicately. His eyes were in a trance as he watched you from across the room , gliding along with each movement your fingers made.
A small smile graced your lips as you finished whatever art piece you had set your heart on that day, and that's when he felt it. Watching your eyebrows relax and peace settle into your face as you looked content as you placed the sketchbook bag in the safety of your bag. He noticed he no longer really needed to know what you were drawing as long as you continued to smile just like that.
Warmth filled his chest at the thought as he gazed at your retreating figure.
Yes, he's content with this.
Bitter. Shoto realizes that you are drawing in Midoriya's notebook. the feeling of ice shivered down his spine as he saw you so intently focused with that same smile he felt so content at seeing. Now being shown to his best friend in the seat next to you. Oh, so that was why you never let him see your art , it's reserved for someone else.
Midoriya had asked you a few days ago to help him redesign the sketches in his notebook. He noticed how you were always drawing in your free time and decided you would be the best person to go to for the request.
You've never taken commission work before, and even though you weren't getting paid it did feel nice having someone look at your art and see how excited they got at the results. Watching how happy Midoriya was at the sketches you had already placed made you eager to accept more requests in the future if you ever got the chance.
"Wow! y/n I can't believe how amazing your sketches are!" he says in wonder.
"Thank you, but you are really flattering me too much." you say happily as you make the finishing touches on the last drawing of a figure of midoriya doing a move he's wanting to practice.
"I really mean it y/n! This is way better than anything I've ever managed to do. What made you start drawing?"
You quickly put down your pencil as you go into thought for a moment from the sudden question.
"I guess.. it would have to be the fact that even though moments pass by so quickly, a moment I draw will stay forever encased like a photograph for me to look at whenever I want to revisit it."
"Y/N! That's beautiful." he states with slight tears forming in his eyes, while he's forcing himself to hold them back.
"Oh Todoroki! You're up early this morning, come look at y/n's art." Midoriya said excitedly as he motioned for Shoto to join them at the table you were residing at.
Your heart hammered in your chest at the thought of him finally looking at your artwork. This was finally something he could see that wouldn't immediately show how much you liked him and you were nervous about his response to your designs.
"No thank you. I heard curiosity killed the cat." he says with a stoic expression.
e/c met a heterochromia mixture of grey and blue in shock, he had refused to see the art he tried so desperately to steal a glimpse of a few weeks before. Had he really taken you seriously with your remark?, or did he just no longer care to look at what you were drawing anymore. The excitement in your heart slowly fading out, you fell silent.
You watched as midoriya continued to talk to him with a slightly shocked and worried expression, before eventually shoto had left the room leaving you alone once again with the green haired boy beside you.
Numb. The days following he had started to distance himself from you and Midoriya. Deciding to no longer eat with the two of you at lunch like before or spend free time together in the dormitory like what had been a routine for him. He now isolated himself in his room to escape the questioning looks you would give his way or the worried expressions his best friend would give him whenever he became too silent.
He didn't want to distance himself from you , but every time he saw you he remembered that the only one you allowed yourself to open up to was midoriya. He realized he would never be able to get close to you the way he was and it made him feel cold.
The cold feeling overtook him in a way that was so intense that his body and mind felt numb.
I lost y/n before I even had a chance to get them.
You had noticed how he was distancing himself and your heart ached in pain at the fact. every time you had tried to reach out, to question what could be plaguing his thoughts he would shut you out. Not only was your mind suffering from the worry , but so was the art you had tried to complete in order to relax from the stress.
The sketches of shoto that you had tried to finish the last few days have been a failure compared to your collection of artwork consisting of the one man taking over your thoughts. It was pointless to try and draw him when he won't even talk to me anymore.
A silent tear strolls down your cheek as you look up to the ceiling of your dorm.
Why do I feel so numb?
Midoriya had told me recently that my art might be able to reach people when words fail.
Taking a quick glance towards your sketchbook before you could second guess your thoughts, you grab it tightly in your hands and make your way towards his dorm room.
Surprised. The knock on his door had shaken him from his thoughts, and the sight of you as he opened his door had his stoic expression falter slightly as his eyes widened just a bit where you could notice. He obviously wasn't expecting you to be here in his doorway, Why would he when he had been actively pushing you away ? and yet here you were smiling sadly back at him in silence.
"Y/n?" he lets out a confused gasp of your name that he believed he only spoke in his mind for a moment when you took a few beats to answer.
He notices you take a breath inward before releasing it and the determined e/c orbs reach him.
"I won't know what's wrong unless you tell me."
"And I won't know how to help you unless you tell me." you continue before he can reply.
"But I can care about you, and I want to help you so stop pushing me away!"
You place the sketchbook in his hands in one rough motion as you finish your last sentence. Your gaze now directed at the ground and the tips of your ears growing red and the feeling of his eyes lingering on you in the silence that fell over you two.
Shoto looks down at the sketchbook in his hands while processing the words you had told him. he knows he was being to hard on you, he shouldn't have treated you so badly the last few days. he just couldn't force himself to watch you be with his best friend when he had just recently discovered that the feelings he's harbored for you all along would go unrequited.
He slowly opens the sketchbook prepared to see sketches of Midoriya or even just random sketches of the world through your eyes, however once the contents reach his vision he freezes. his fingers grazing the person so familiar to him on the pages before flipping through each page.
"This is .." he starts before stopping, surprised to see that every page was filled with sketches of one person.
"You. They are all sketches of you." you say a small smile placed on your lips as you hesitantly glanced up to him.
His heart filled with so much joy and awe that a few silent tears slid down his cheeks as he realized that not only did the person he had feelings for , have feelings for him as well , but that he had unintentionally hurt you more than he intended when he distanced himself.
"I was jealous." he states, suddenly making your mouth open in shock.
"What?!"
"Midoriya was able to see your artwork. It seemed like he was so much closer to you than I would ever be."
Shoto gazes turns downward towards his feet as a slight blush graces his cheeks from the revealed emotions.
You were surprised by the sudden confession and let a lighthearted laugh escape your lips from the pressure of his distance to put on your heart. He glanced at you making eye contact before you leaned into him, placing a hand on his cheek as you got closer.
"You know that cats have nine lives ? so even if they do die of curiosity they can always try again." you say before leaning to press your lips to his.
Happiness. The ice he had felt had melted and the numbness from the cold was warmed completely from your feelings that reached him through the sketches you had shown him and the kiss you have given him.
"I'm sorry for hurting you." he says softly while placing a strand of your hair behind your ear and looking deep into your eyes.
You smile brightly up at him in return.
“Promise to talk to me next time before you jump to conclusions?”
He laughs slightly as a small smile takes over the frown that graced his lips.
“Promise.”

“So why were you drawing in Midoriya’s notebook?” he asked while you ate dinner together in his room.
You looked at him with a bright smile excited to tell him all about how you were now wanting to start commissioning your artworks.
“He asked me to help him redesign his notebook. He told me his drawings were making his notes look too messy.” you said happily before stealing a piece of his food from his plate.
“I really wish I would have paid more attention that day.” he said with a small sigh before the smile returns as he gazes at you.
“However I don’t regret anything because somehow throughout all this , I managed to get you.”

Rain
There was an eerie silence that settled in the small hut that the group had settled in for the night.
The monk was unconscious, but the ever diligent slayer was at his side. Inuyasha grumbled but said little as he sat by the monk. He'd been slightly man handled but was for the most part in one piece.
The children and even Jaken were even quiet. The heavy patter of rain and crackling fire were the only sounds that filled this heavy silence.
Sesshomaru had removed his heavy cauldron armor, intent on finally relaxing after the stressful fight. But his nerves were still alive, and her absence made the air feel heavy.
Finally, a soft sigh escaped him, causing Inuyasha to look up. When he saw him approach the old door, he called out, "Just let her be -"
His hot eyes cut to his, "This one has never listened to you." As the door opened, he again murmured, "Why would I start now."
For the most part, the trees provided some coverage from the rain but not nearly enough to keep him dry. Stopping in his tracks, he could hear her soft footsteps. Her saddened eyes met his, "Sesshomaru."
She was absolutely soaked, her clothing even had become transparent. His boots softly trekked across the now muddy path, "You did not return." Her eyes stayed low, but a soft nod was all he was given. "It is raining,"
"I'm sorry," she murmured.
He watched the rain streak down her face, "The rain does not hide you." But again, when he was met by her heavy silence, he felt even further unsettled. His hands rose, gently pulling her forward without much thought. Dipping his grand height, he very gently dragged his tongue across her cheek. Her hands raised to his haori, feeling she might tilt backwards. "Kagome," his voice seemed a bit softer than she'd expected, "you tried."
His soft words had tears again flood forward, her lips twisting, "I- I couldn't save her."
"Couldn't," he murmured, "Doesn't mean you did not try."
She nodded sadly, trying not to outright sob into his clothing.
After a pregnant pause, he finally spoke, "This one is wet now."
Her teary smile put him at ease, "Well, I guess we should get you inside. Oh great, soggy one."
He set his now heavy haori over her shoulders, "says the woman whom is scantily clad." She pulled the haori closer, feeling a blush rise to her face, "Perhaps should this happen again." He pulled her along, back to camp, "Retrieve this one, so you do not become lost."
A soft laugh escaped her, "Yeah, sure. Whatever you say, Lord Fluffy."

How To Tame A Sorcerer (50)
Series Master list
Satoru stuffs his hands into his pockets, ignoring the pointed glare from Sesshomaru as they walked down the street. He wets his lips, the cool, crisp air, does absolutely nothing to cool the fire building in his veins. "So," he says with fake enthusiasm, "since you've so graciously accepted me as Kagome's mate. Does that mean you'll stop trying to claim her as your alpha female?" Now, Satoru is not an expert on demons—personally, he wouldn't be too upset if they just all disappeared one day. Well… Yakeru was growing on him and Buyo Jr. could stick around, but the others could kick rocks.
Especially this Sesshomaru and that wolf he mentioned. Satoru didn't even know the guy yet, and he already disliked him.
Sesshomaru slants him a look that would have Ijichi pissing himself, but he's not Ijichi and it will take a lot more than a couple of glares or threats of violence to make him fear anyone. Satoru rolls his tongue along the roof of his mouth as he notices a flyhead hanging on a woman's arm. Its eyes widen at the sight of him. There is always a surge of new curses around the holidays with all the negative emotions that holidays seem to bring out in people.
Satoru casually stretches his arms out, letting out a large yawn as he does. His outstretched hand exorcizes the curse easily. The woman shakes her head as she mutters under her breath, something along the lines of, "rude jerk."
Satoru quirks a brow at Sesshomaru. He wants him to say something. He dares him to say something, so he has a reason to see why Sesshomaru is so feared.
"You waste time on the weak. This Sesshomaru understands why the priestess is enamored with you."
Satoru smiles. His eyes squint behind his shades. Sounds like a backhanded compliment and he isn't sure if he should thank him or tell him to fuck off. "The answer is yes or no," he says, because in the end, Satoru is a menace at heart, and he has no problem poking the demon.
"Who knew that even the strongest suffered from insecurity," Sesshomaru drawls, the boredom dripping from each word is like a punch to the gut. "This Sesshomaru will not renounce her position as an alpha in my pack. The position gives her power and protection." Sesshomaru leads them to a parked Range Rover.
"S-Sesshomaru-sama!" a bald man exclaims as he rushes from the driver's seat to open the passenger one. "Oh, the six eyes is here. Not very impressive in person," he blubbers on, somehow not tripping over his own stubby legs.
Okay—they aren't that short, but the man insulted him first.
Satoru slides into the backseat, crossing his arms as he stares at the back of Sesshomaru's head. "I take it you know where the school is?"
"That poorly hidden school," baldie squawks as he maneuvers the car in the school's direction. The driver drives like a madman, swerving around and honking at the other cars. A drastic change from the uptight Ijichi, that is for sure.
"Could have teleported there," Satoru sing songs, pulling out his phone to check for any urgent messages from Shoko. He rates this drive a 3 out of 10, mostly because of the company, and somewhat because of how erratic the drive is. They've nearly crashed at least three times now. If he didn't have infinity running at all times, then he would be concerned.
"Jaken is a sufficient driver," Sesshomaru says. The car swerves sharply to the right as Jaken lets out a wail of happiness that sounds like a cat dying. Satoru opens his mouth and then promptly shuts it. His phone lights up before it vibrates.
It's bad news, he thinks. Shoko never calls him unless something awful has happened. Now, Kagome, on the other hand, Shoko calls for the most mundane things like whether she should eat the same salad for dinner as though eating one healthy meal will cancel out all the damage she's doing to her lungs.
"What happened?" he asks, not bothering with meaningless greetings.
"Cho is gone," Shoko replies. She inhales, probably taking a drag from her cigarette. Shoko's up to three packs a day. He'd tell her to find another vice, but the life of a sorcerer is short and with all the shit that Shoko sees, it's a miracle that she hasn't snapped yet.
His chest constricts. Those three blunt words confirm what he already figured from Sesshomaru's reaction. It makes little sense. Tsumiki is still a comatose state, so this must not be the same curse. "You lost a coma patient?" He shifts in the seat, throwing one leg over the other. His hand grips the phone tighter. "I know you cheated your way through medical school, but…"
Sesshomaru tilts his head back. Jaken slows down and makes a turn at the next light, pulling into a convince store parking lot.
"Hilarious." Shoko scoffs, the sound harsher through the phone. "She must have walked out. We would have been alerted if something snuck into the school. Maybe she went looking for her parents or something. She might not believe that they are gone. Trauma affects everyone differently."
"That's a long walk from the school," he says, catching the look Jaken sends Sesshomaru. "Call me if she turns back up." He ends the call. "Alright, what do you know?"
"Naraku wouldn't have attacked your clan without an escape plan," Sesshomaru says. "The priestess has clearly become weak in light of her new domestic endeavors."
"Fuck off."
"Don't you dare address Sesshomaru-sama with such foul language! You—you!"
"The half breed is most likely still alive. What his objective is, is cause for concern. Does the priestess have the jewel?"
He saw Naraku die. Saw the fear in his eyes when he couldn't escape the veil. Saw the finality in his body language as he accepted his fate and now Sesshomaru is saying that Naraku is somehow still alive. Satoru calls bullshit. When he kills someone, they stay dead. No exceptions.
"It merged with her. Let's pretend that Naraku is still alive just for funsies. He's never made a direct move to take Kagome. If that was his objective, then he could have tried a long time ago."
Like during the exchange event.
"Yakeru's sister took Kagome because of the baby and she knew of the jewel. Maybe the Shikon was huge in your world, but it doesn't seem to be that much of a threat here." He scratches his cheek. "Well, I'm supposed to be looking for a jewel that no one has ever seen before," he adds as an afterthought. He's tempted to have Megumi create a PowerPoint for him just so he can keep with who knows what. There are far too many players in this and far too much misinformation.
"Back to the estate," Sesshomaru commands. Jaken backs out of the parking spot and drives around the building. Satoru frowns when Jaken cuts the engine. He blinks at the familiar feeling of being transported in an instant. "Come," Sesshomaru says, striding forward, but Satoru is still stuck on how he can reach out and feel like he's touching the clouds.
Seriously? His estate was in the freaking sky? And did they just leave the car behind? How wasteful.
"Fancy place." He whistles. Satoru likes to think that the guards straighten themselves at the sight of him and not because of Sesshomaru. The gated doors swing open.
"Sesshomaru-sama," the guards greet, bowing. The glamor fades away from Sesshomaru and Jaken.
"Oh, Jaken, you should have kept the human disguise," Satoru complains, looking down at him. What was he? Some kind of imp with green skin? If he had seen him out on the street, he honestly would have thought that Jaken was a curse and not a demon.
"How dare you! I will have you know—"
"Jaken, go prepare the north wing for the priestess and her mate," Sesshomaru kicks Jaken, sending him flying. No one bats an eye. Perhaps Jaken and Ijichi have more in common than he first thought.
"We aren't staying with you."
"How do you plan on keeping the priestess safe from any human attacks? Or worse, you could have taken this Cho home with you, and then what?" Sesshomaru keeps walking. "You cannot always be by her side and the priestess would hesitate to strike down a child."
Kagome is friends with this guy?
"And you would?" He pays no attention to the elegance of the estate that really should be classified as a castle with how over the top everything is. He'd nearly forgotten that he is dealing with demons here, and no matter how much glamor they put on, it doesn't change what they really are. Almost as if Sesshomaru could feel him judging, Sesshomaru looks over his shoulder.
"You dealt with assassins as a child."
He did. His father and uncle thought it built character if he took care of them himself. His hands were stained before he even lifted a finger to exorcise a curse.
"Doesn't make it right," Satoru replies, pushing the memories away and stuffing them down into a box with a lock and chain. His child wouldn't be subjected to such horrors.
"Hn."
He hears the welcome sound of Kagome's laughter as they walk into a library. In the middle of the room, she's there surrounded by pillows, Yakeru, and another redhead that he doesn't know. Her face lights up when she sees him and he hates that he has more bad news to share. Satoru shakes his head.
"What up pops! Or should I call you dada?" The man waves a hand in the air. He's way too close to Kagome for comfort. His words give Satoru pause. Why would this demon refer to him as dad?
"Shippo, knock it off," Kagome says, pinching him on the cheek. "Ignore him. Did something happen with Cho?" Shippo's green eyes water over. His lips protrude out in a fake puppy dog look. Satoru wonders if this Shippo is a fox like Yakeru—they look far too much alike not to be.
"She wasn't at the school. It's possible that she tried to make her way back to the estate." Satoru strides forward, nudging Yakeru away with his foot. "But I don't think she would go back there," he says, sitting down next to her. "I doubt she even knows her way around."
The jujutsu world can be just as cruel as these demons, he thinks. Especially with how they treat women as nothing more than breeding stock and children as disposable.
"Question!" Shippo yells, leaning over Kagome and staring at him with such wonder that his skin crawls. "Can I impersonate Gakuganji and go dig around at the school?"
"How do you know the old man?"
Shippo gives him a blank expression.
Okay. Obviously, Shippo has poked around the school before. Maybe it's cocky of him, but Satoru just assumed that he was well known in the demon circles because he's the strongest.
"Depends. Are you going to be making things harder for me or harder for the geezer?"
"Satoru!" Kagome swats his arm.
"Harder for the old-timer, of course," Shippo says with a big grin. "And the Kyoto school is a little more traditional than Jujutsu High. I bet they have all kinds of stuff I can dig up." He rubs his hands together, sharing a wink with Yakeru.
Definitely a fox, Satoru thinks. Those two seem to share one brain cell. "Even if I said no, you would probably do it anyway," he replies. "We should have gone back to school and tried to retrace Cho's steps."
"How did you know about Naraku's attack?" Sesshomaru questions. His eyes flicker over to Kagome and then back to Satoru.
"I got intel from a subordinate within the estate." Satoru jerks a thumb towards Yakeru. "And he sniffed Naraku out."
"Hn."
"Oooh, I can translate," Shippo exclaims. He clears his throat. "What Sess is saying is that you guys are stupid to think that it would be that easy. Except for Kagome, because you have pregnancy brain and we love you." Shippo rubs the back of his head while Sesshomaru glowers at him. "Okay, he didn't exclude Kagome."
"And here I thought it was just his own hubris," Yakeru mutters. "I did find it strange that he couldn't escape his own veil."
"He's not working alone. They could have betrayed him," Satoru says. His mind races with the possibilities. Those curses took some of the cursed womb paintings, a scroll on the Shikon, and the few fingers of Sukuna that they had in their possession. Were they trying to boost their own power? "He was there when the curses attacked the school."
"Maybe he wants to create a new special grade or resurrect Sukuna?" Shippo throws out there. "What?"
"I can see resurrecting Sukuna," Satoru says, "but creating a new special grade?" He shrugs. It takes a considerable number of negative feelings to create a curse, let alone a special grade. "I don't see what this has to do with Cho."
"Cho is dead," Sesshomaru says with that monotone voice that Satoru is coming to hate. "Clearly, taking Kagome is not his objective."
"So, he's doing it for shits and giggles?"
"Hn."
"The Shikon," Kagome starts, "are there consequences if I were to make a wish on it?"
"Yes and no," Yakeru says after a beat. "Could you wish for anything? Yeah, you could wish for Sukuna's revival or even for all the curses to be wiped out. You wouldn't fall over dead because of a wish, but there would still be some consequences for everyone else." Yakeru glances at Sesshomaru and then at Shippo.
Dread pours into Satoru's gut. "Gonna, take a wild guess and say that someone has made a wish on the jewel before Kagome came along. What happened?"
"Nothing too bad," Yakeru says with fake cheeriness. "The wish only created curses."

I've gotten told by a couple of people what Hoegoshamaru said and
This isn't about height or age, like you wanted to put it.. That's not the point right now. She could've been a 10 year old baby 🚼 and tall as a freaking King Palm 🌴 (still gross but continuing...)
The point is on what we've being trying to tell you people for years. That Rin and her relationship with was/is meant to be as nothing 👏🏻 more 👏🏻than 👏🏻 something 👏🏻 innocent. Just a cute little companion who he take care along the other ones (Kohaku and Jaken).
Nothing more. Nothing less.
Because you keep insisting we're wrong for not seeing the oBvIoUS signs that they were actually in-love uwu since her poor 5 year old butt brought him fish and water.
Gurl you're the ones that sat down, drew him along her still reaching his knees looking 5 like always, being all rOmaNTic, and said "Yeah, that checks out".
":B but but Jaken is an adult. Rumiko was talking about the height—."
Yes, Jaken is an adult. What a wonderful observation. I'm glad you could tell. But can tell what the other one is? It starts with K.
While good ol' Jaken is of mature age. He can't barely can defend himself much. Rin even way less. That's the deal. That is Sesshomaru's whole deal/development that he is this protector of kids and being weaker them. Nothing beyond.
His fun cute little companions that warmed peeps hearts along his own.
Why do you think he got paired with Kikyo in stuff especially recently? Cause guess what. That's also like her thing. It wasn't just pretty looks. Damage control bro.
You guys have gone from obsessed when HnY was announced, to harassing everyone almost completely out of the fandom cause they don't like it, to crying cause the anime only gave you crumbs, to complaining what the animation staff said, changing the meaning of Hogosha, to getting mad at Shiina because he called it a "what if", to the proceed sucking his 🍌 now cause he gave you an off screen smooch— for only for him to call it his personal fanfic on the same day but then going "but he consulted with RT so she approved everything".
RT approved everything even the other drama CDs, the games, etc, even things SHE CLEARLY DIDN'T EVEN LOOK AT and the manga is the only thing that still matters out of all of them 😪 just be happy that you got something even though it's non-canon. You asked for it, right?
Y'all trying to loop over everything like an Olympic Gymnast and censor people for being truthful(WITH EVIDENCE) about this whole thing just shows how insecurely toxic you all are about your ship. As well showing that you're not happy with what you got.
#anti rinsess#antisessrin#anti sessrin#if you're tired of your bubbles getting bursted than stop coming to look at antis#stop sending to look on your behalf#the block button takes one second#my gods the cringe

🏹 Unfortunately for Sora, the truth would be quite disappointing and possibly terrifying. Most humans have an innate fear of demons, which is reasonable considering they were typically on the lower end of the food chain which resulted in many fatalities and injuries. While Sesshomaru did not outright look horrifying nor was he hideous as some other demons, his mere presence, power and expression could be enough to strike fear in a full grown man. It would be quite easy to see that he was in a league of his own and that such a demon was incredibly dangerous..more so than the primitive and base demons that stalked the skies and earth.
"Hm. After this I will send word to a few monasteries and temples." After all, if such a pattern was significant as it seemed to be, then surely it would be found in one of the few places knowledge was stored and kept. The more prominent and well-known monastery that comes to mind..kept an elaborate and well guarded trove of knowledge. Perhaps someone there may know. Kikyou, while knowledgeable, also knew she had limitations. While an expert in her field, there was always more information to learn.
Kikyou serenely observed the bees, dispatching any that escaped Sesshomaru's claws and Jaken's fire. It was no hard feat after all. Unfortunately, it seemed no information was left behind this time. No message for the trio to patch together..which also added to the oddity and bubbling frustration of the situation. Truly this culprit was becoming more irksome with each passing minute. And while Kikyou prided herself on patience..she despised being blindly led around with little comprehension of the motives nor reasoning for these harmful antics.
"In another assault elsewhere, a message was gleaned from the paper left in the wake of the bees. So to avoid missing anything, we do our due diligence.", Kikyou stated, answering the silent question Sora most likely had.
"Thank you Sora.." Kikyou smiled softly, expressing her gratitude as she knew it was not easy to part with it. After all, it was an item his brother had died protecting. Kikyou knew the importance it held for him and silently rested her other hand on his arm..as another means of her appreciation for giving her the item to inspect and..to provide some solace.
Kikyou's thoughts were echoed by Jaken's words, as she too scrutinized the orb. Her fingers had brushed against the carvings, feeling a faint sense of power throbbing from its depths. "There is power radiating from it--we shall see if spiritual energy will have any effect on it." Kikyou sincerely hoped so.
That said, she cupped both palms and held the orb between her hands. Soft, warm lavender light began to glow from her hands. The energy swirled around the orb, creeping along its surface until it was encompassed in the light. Her power seeped into the grooves of the orb until she began to feel and notice a change occurring. Almost as soon as it had began, the luminous and gentle power began to fade. In its place, now stood two halves of the orb with a rolled up piece of parchment. Kikyou's muscles subtly tightened, slender fingers gingerly plucking the paper from its container and unfolded it.
Eyebrows knitted together as she read the words to those in her company. "...." Already her mind was pondering the location the paper was referring to. It would be presumptuous to assume it was once again her village..But where else? Kikyou had lost her lives multiple times..The very last..was in a different location to where she was forcibly returned to this world and into a clone of her original human form.
Kikyou was not egotistical enough to think this was referring to her either--but..considering the desecration of her grave..it was not impossible. And technically..the specific location she was thinking about did meet what was outlined on the parchment.
'Revisit the place in which a life was cut and one returned whole.--was it referring to the Tree of Ages? That was where..I technically died..and it was also where Inuyasha was 'returned whole'..'
It would not hurt to investigate. If Sesshomaru had an alternative theory, they both could part ways to look into it and reconvene.
But before they could leave..--and by they she meant herself--she had a few duties to attend within the village. She had promised the elder to bring Sora back home safely and to perform final rites for those who had passed..to aid in their journey into the afterlife. As one imbued with these powers..she still had a responsibility to humans.
Now that she reflected upon it..it was utterly foolish to think she could have ever lived a simple, ordinary life. It had been a fantasy..for her sense of righteousness would not allow her to ignore the cries of others. Kikyou would have had every intention of laying her bow down but in all likelihood..it would not have been feasible.
In that scenario..even if it was not possible..at the very least, she could have experienced other normal things. Kikyou would not have had to shoulder everything..would have been able to share the problems...still live happily and experience more of what life had to offer. But most of all..she would not have been alone.
Bronze optics flickered towards Sora as she handed the paper to Jaken. Hands moved to push the two halves together and clasping it within her hands, thoroughly purified and fused them back together. Uncurling her fingers, she held it out to Sora. "I realize it is not the same...but I nonetheless thought you would wish to keep it..in memory of your brother..alongside what your heart recalls..your mind and those arrows."
With another smile, she glanced towards Jaken and her 'dog'. "Jaken, once Sora has finished his tasks here, I will be returning with him to the village. I have to attend to a few duties. I can meet you and Sesshomaru at our earlier location--but if Sesshomaru needs to leave, then I will follow later." In other words, if he was impatient, then she will not keep him waiting. Kikyou can always track him down later.
Sora was so surprised by the giant Demon dog, wondering how in the world the Miko could’ve tamed such a regal looking beast. His impression of her shot up leaps and bounds, completely believing the act. It was a true shame that the giant dog didn’t like to be touched, else he would have wanted to try petting his beautiful fur.
To think that even if she hadn’t summoned for them, they still came of their own accord to provide assistance to their mistress. How reliable! Well, he’s not so sure about the short green one. He did sound intelligent at least? Jaken, accursed to being looked down upon by children of all ages and backgrounds.
“What a shame, we haven’t seen anything quite like it either and had been hoping you’ve an idea as to what the symbol may mean.” Jaken was knowledgeable of many things in the Demon realm, and Sesshomaru had many years of life under his belt. If Kikyo with her extensive knowledge as a Miko couldn’t come up with anything, then the story behind the symbol was a lost cause to them until some random expert could explain it to them.
At the suggestion of destroying the bees, Sesshomaru took to swiping at them with his mighty claws or ripping them to shreds with his teeth. It would be more efficient for him to simply slice them apart with his blade or his light whip, but he had to make due. Jaken used his staff to summon fire to roast the bees. Upon being attacked, the Saimyosho responded in kind, aggressively buzzing loudly as they flew at their assailants. Sora had continued to stay right behind Kikyo as she’d previously instructed him to do.
With the bees being dispatched, they released a smell of burning incense, which continued to rub Sora the wrong way as he felt as if they were mocking those who had lost their lives in the previous attacks. He’d noticed as Kikyo and the others would on occasion check the ground, eying the fallen pieces of paper. “Lady Kikyo, it does not seem as though these have any messages written on any of these pieces of paper.” Jaken informed his findings to the Miko. Sora didn’t understand what was going on, but he could recall that no words were written on pieces of paper in the last attack either. Were they expecting for there to be a message dropped from these pests?
Sora looks at the orb and at Kikyo. He holds it tight to his chest one final time before he hands it over to Kikyo. Something in his gut was telling him that this would be the last time he’d get to see the memento of what reminded him of his brother intact. Jaken observes the orb, squinting. “It’s engravings are quite intricate. It almost appears as though something can be poured into the grooves.” Maybe like yoki or spiritual power. It wouldn’t be too surprising if that were to be the case, that one would have to pour magic into this mysterious controller of the Demonic bees.
If Kikyo were to channel her power into the orb, it would split down the middle as if there had been an invisible seam this entire time and reveal that it was hollow. A small rolled piece of paper would be found inside of the orb.
“Revisit the place in which a life was cut and one returned whole.”

"Sesshomaru is not Rin's dad. Jaken is the one who really acts like her father figure"
Jaken:
"This damn brat, she never shuts up. Also why does Sesshomaru-sama bring along this little human girl? It's past time she was gotten rid of" Manga 157.
Yeah, that's totally a great father figure 🙄 I don't understand why anyone would see Jaken as Rin's father when he was rude, mean and even cruel to her throughout the entire Inuyasha series. So I thought I would make a brief compilation of scenes to see how wonderful Jaken was with Rin.
Chapter 259, Chapter 417: "Dolt", "fool", "stupid", "damn brat" are some of the ways Jaken calls Rin.
Chapter 260. This is a good example of what most of Jaken's interactions with Rin are based on:
He shows over and over again that he cares for Rin only because he fears that Sesshomaru will scold him if anything happens to her, not because he genuinely cares about her. Chapter 252:
And anime Jaken is not better than his manga version. Episode 96:
Rin: "I'm hungry"
Jaken: "Quiet, Rin! A forest like this will have nothing for you to eat. Just bear it!"
It's Sesshomaru himself who has to step in to tell Jaken to let her go get food. And It's funny how some people think Sesshomaru isn't a father figure to Rin because he tells her to look for food, but they do think Jaken is a great father when he doesn't give af about Rin being hungry 🙄
In fact, some of the meanest things said to Rin are said by Jaken himself. Episode 162:
Rin: "what will I do in Lord Sesshomaru's empire?"
Jaken: "You intend to follow us all the way there?"
He proceeds to tell her that she will be dead by then before falling asleep, leaving Rin very distraught and showing once again that he doesn't really care what happens to her. If this is your supposed daughter and she wants to know what role she plays in your future I don't think this is the way to answer her. At the end of the episode it is Sesshomaru (Rin's true father figure) who tells her, in his own way, that she is important to him and he will never forget her.
And yes, when she is revived for the second time, Jaken cries and (even when he says that he only does it for Sesshomaru) I do believe that Jaken came to like Rin in some way, but that just isn't enough to erase all his bad behavior towards her and it's definitely not enough to make him a wonderful father figure. Finally, this new Yashahime version of Jaken where he is so worried and loves Rin so much is totally Out of Character like all the other Iy characters in Yashahime.
#anti sessrin#anti yashahime#jaken is not Rin's dad#iy manga#this has been in my drafts for months and i better post it before hny ends#I don't completely hate Jaken but he has been very cruel to Rin and I just love Rin so much#Sesshomaru is Rin's father figure

Sesskagu No. 18 for the ask thing please!
"things you said when you were scared"
-
Three days.
That's how long it's been, since he's seen her last. In a mere few hours, three would turn to four.
Sesshomaru sits with his back against the tree, eyes trained towards the dark. It has been long since Jaken stamped out their fire, but he can still catch the barest scent of smoke in the air.
His servant lies snoring on the other side of the tree. No doubt he is using one of the many silk-wrapped gifts in their care as a pillow. If Kagura were here, he knows exactly what she'd say - spoiling them again, hm? I only wonder what you'll do if they have children...
(The answer is, of course, spoil the child. Human though they would be.)
Sesshomaru made every detail clear days ago: the timing for Rin and Kohaku's yui-no ceremony. When he'd be leaving for the slayer's slowly-rebuilding village. How long the trip would take, even with an army's worth of betrothal gifts to bring along.
At that time, Kagura shared a single intention of her own: to join them on the morning of the third day.
And no matter how much she loves to explore - no matter what it means to her, that she is alive and free to do as she wishes - Kagura would not break such a promise.
Not to him.
Gritting his teeth, Sesshomaru stands. Dry-leaved branches break against his shoulders, as he steps into the dark.
If an enemy has waylaid her on the way to meet them, he can only hope to find her while she is still breathing. Tenseiga has already rejected his request to save her once; they must expect the same, in any situation to come.
Sesshomaru's chest feels tight like it was then. The way it was for a long while, afterward.
It had taken weeks of traversing the shadows of the Underworld to find her soul, and then days more to convince the Goddess of Death to allow him to leave the realm with it.
Furious at feeling indebted, Kagura set off on her own for a while after that. But, for the same reason that he'd gone to find her in the first place, she returned to his side.
In the years since, it feels as though all of the wind witch's impudent comments, her joy for the smallest pleasures of life, even her graceful manner of violence, has firmly settled into his existence like an organ in the body.
She was supposed to meet them this morning. Nausea stabs painfully in his stomach. Sesshomaru walks faster.
An hour passes. His lungs are a pair of stones, just useless weight beneath his ribs. Each breath feels laborious, silent as he tries to be.
A faint shape cuts across the sky above. Narrowing his senses on it, the daiyokai moves as quickly as he can without making any more unnecessary noise.
Like a fist beneath his armor, his heart pounds; the sighted form dips below a line of fog that blurs the boundary between earth and night sky. Her scent hits him like a blast of cool air from a sudden winter storm...
Exhaustion. Anger, with a tinge of satisfaction. Blood; a bit of hers, and significantly more of another's.
Somehow, he goes from stepping between two trees to standing with her in his arms.
"There you are," she sighs, pressing her face into his neck. Gore rubs off her robes to stain his own. "You and Jaken certainly make yourselves hard to find."
She's one to talk; but for some reason he cannot scold her. Instead, what leaves his tongue is senseless: "We said three days."
"I got caught up - why haven't you eradicated those fucking harpies from the mountains, yet? As soon as things are settled with the wedding, you're coming back with me to finish it if I have to drag you by the hair."
She's babbling, and holding on so tight that his armor must be digging into her skin.
"Three days," he says again, with no reason to repeat it.
"I'm not simple-minded, you don't have to keep telling me."
She shivers, and a gust of wind wraps around the two of them; it whisks away the scent of other demons, and somehow that allows the tightness of his chest to weaken a bit. Lungs expanding, Sesshomaru takes in a full breath.
"The kids don't need to know about this, they'll just worry - oh, and Jaken better not bitch about it or else I'll send him flying into the next demon lord's territory. I'm not even actually late - "
He turns, taking her with him. As they make their way back to where he has left his vassal, Kagura walks so close they may as well share a body. Every few seconds, her voice breaks the night with cursing an enemy or threatening him for something that hasn't yet happened.
Even though it is smarter to be silent when moving about in the dark, Sesshomaru does not hush her.
"Well," she mutters finally, as they settle against a tree, tucking her head against his shoulder. "Don't you have anything to say?"
Her heart beats steadily against his chest. His lungs expand easily, breathing no longer a chore.
But by the time he is ready to put words to the night's fear, Kagura has already fallen asleep.

So out of nowhere I was tagged and quoted by a SR shipper for a blog of mine posted in August of last year. Talk about throwback but, hey, gotta appreciate that level of snooping. 😉
Back in the day I actually used to encourage discourse amongst Inuyasha fans- both shippers and antis alike- but I've since realized that it's a lost cause. But for you, @feministmetalgreymon , I'll grant this exception. Just 'cause it's been a while so why the hell not. haha
I want to assure you, however, that nothing you say will ever convince me that Sesshomaru and Rin are meant to be together romantically or that the story intended it so. Nor will you find any validation here. You can ship them for all I care, but please for all that is good and holy while I have your attention try- I mean really try- to understand why it is so many of us Inuyasha fans are so against this pairing in the first place (newsflash: it's not about ship wars), and why we believe a romance between the two of them is completely and utterly out of character.
For those of you interested in reading this, the blog of mine in question that the above shipper mentions in their counter-argument is here for reference. It's titled "Jaken = Rin's Dad?" I'm going to try and keep this short, but I'm also making no such promises. After all, I'm not exactly known for my brevity. haha Now let's get crackin'!
Like you, feministmetalgreymon, did for your recent blog here where you took screenshots of mine to address certain parts, I will be doing the same and dissecting yours accordingly.
[Snippet 1]
I worked with kids for many years as a teacher, and many people in my family have too or still do. Two of them happen to be just over 5 feet which is quite short for the average adult woman living here. I've also worked alongside many a women of short stature, and never did I hear any of them complaining of issues with their students having difficulty differentiating them from their own peers just because they were short as well. I'm sorry but that's just ridiculous. Kids are quite smart and pick up on a lot more than you seem to give them credit for. Height is not the only characteristic they look at to determine who's an adult and who's not, and it's foolish to suggest otherwise. So unless you're a babysitter who's still in their teens and/or who has very childlike features or behavior then I'm afraid what you're getting at is total hogwash. This is just another example of how you shippers offer nothing of real substance to your reasoning, it's only ever cherry-picking or strawmanning from you guys. Stop deflecting from the real issues please, because this certainly isn't one and only winds up being a complete waste of time for all parties involved.
[Snippet 2]
Okay, calm down now. I wasn't insinuating that relationships between parents and children can't change over time in terms of how they get along. Of course that's possible, as all families experience their fair share of estrangement and abuse. What I was speaking about was in reference to the overall dynamic between the two. Because a bad mother or father can still be viewed as a parental figure to their child even if say they're not in said child's life anymore. Since Sesshomaru and Rin share a healthy bond- and just a friendly reminder that in my blog I even said that he doesn't have to necessarily be labeled her father but that a romantic relationship later would still be inappropriate- I didn't deem it necessary to address what you brought up. Plus, it kinda, umm, misses the point?? Please, let's stay on topic. And it's not captured in the screenshot, but stop acting like there isn't a small part of them that idolizes their parents at some point during childhood. Just like you mention later on how it's normal for kids to have innocent crushes on adults that they eventually grow out of? Well, guess what, the same concept applies here. Kids eventually learn that their parents are far from perfect and make mistakes too. Rin is so damn young in the OG series though that we never even get to see her reach that maturity level.
[Snippet 3]
LOL! Alright, okay, so the "unbreakable bond" bit you're mentioning was actually me quoting you sessrinners. Did you not catch that? I literally spelled it out. *sigh* The whole point I was making is that shippers like yourself make hypocritical and contradictory statements all.the.goddamn.time. One moment you guys claim that Sesshomaru and Rin were essentially strangers and meant very little to each other, only to say in the same breath a few seconds later that they were destined to be together and their bond is like no other. I agree, their bond is special, but why must that mean they're going to fall in love?
That is the root of the matter here. Too many animes/mangas have romanticized this older adult man & young girl growing up falling in love trope that it's become way too normalized and widely accepted across the world- and yes, in some cultures more than others. Sadly, you lack the awareness to recognize how this all works. You know how we know that? When we see that you shippers are so desensitized to sexualized images of girls in the media that you share posts like this one below which *subtly* imply a future romance although one half of that pairing is still just a child in the pic and then try and pass it off as cute. That's like super fucking problematic and it scares me that you can't see that (or deny you do). 🤢
After all that's said and done, Sesshomaru leaving Rin in the village with Kaede is to me the strongest indicator more than pretty much anything else he's done for Rin that proves he is her adoptive father. It's so funny to me how you somehow see the exact opposite though. 🤔 What I think is happening is that you got yourself on some squeaky clean ass shipper goggles fresh out of your little echo chamber. Because I hate to tell you, but what you're fantasizing is what you want to see and not what's actually there on screen or was written into the story. I'm strictly talking about Inuyasha and the manga of course. [For the TL; DR version skip to the last paragraph.]
Parents looking after their kids is what parents are supposed to do. A good parent will do anything to keep their child safe and ensure they are cared for, so what he did for her by leaving her there was in her best interests clearly. Besides, as a babysitter, you more than most people should understand that parents aren't always able to be there for their kids so sometimes others gotta step in to help. Haven't you heard of the saying, "it takes a village to raise a child?" Which in Rin's case is literally true! 😂 Sometimes kids are even sent off to stay with grandparents and that's who raises them instead. Or maybe they have to temporarily live with an aunt or uncle because their single parent's job requires they work out of town 4-5 days of the week so they're hardly home. But that doesn't mean that the parents care or love their kids any less, and it's foolish to assume that Sesshomaru must have thought very little of Rin simply due to the fact that he made the decision to leave her in the village. Come on, y'all are acting like he abandoned her there!!
It's just given the circumstances Sesshomaru finally came to learn that Rin traveling with him was no longer safe. I also like to think it's because he wished for her to live a more normal life and to learn how to fully trust humans again. Plus, continuing to travel with him as young as she was would have proven dangerous and unwise. Now for you to know all this and still manage to turn his past actions towards her while she was just a child into a romantic gesture is what boggles my mind. Regardless of how you look at it, from my perspective or your own, Sesshomaru is in the wrong. Either he's a father figure who impregnates his daughter at the young age of approximately 14. OR he's this man she used to travel with who maybe isn't a father to her but who nonetheless basically rapes her since kids her age can't consent to sex with an adult. Idk about you but it sounds to me like nobody here wins with either scenario we're given. In other words, you should be just as mad as we are. If only one side didn't choose to forsake their morals they know we both have in common for the sake of a ship. Welp. 🤷♀️
I agree, incest is disgusting but that's not the only problem we have with this pairing. A romantic bond forming between Sesshomaru and Rin would also constitute as grooming.
You realize that over the years he visited her in the village that he brought her gifts too and essentially watched her grow up right before his very eyes, right? I mean, I know you do, but I really shouldn't have to explain further why pursuing a romantic/sexual relationship with each other is plain and simple wrong. And before you say it's not because he didn't have any malintent, please understand that considering their history and power dynamic up to then that yes this is still considered grooming even if Rin supposedly "wanted it" or "made the first move." Whether you consider him her father or not, as the adult who took on a role resembling that of a caretaker in her early life- a critical developmental time for a child- Sesshomaru is obligated to turn down any advances by Rin and most definitely should not initiate any himself. As the first close adult figure she's had in her life since her parents died, it's unfathomable to imagine how Sesshomaru could go through with taking advantage of this young girl who was under his care and supervision since they met. To think he could be capable of betraying that trust sickens me to the core.
This. Now THIS is how a parent/guardian or a similar adult caretaker (babysitter, teacher, etc.) talks to a child. And, in turn, this is how some young children talk to adults. You'd be insane and delusional to deny it! We see it in our everyday lives, do we not? From where else do you think our stories draw most of their inspiration? Yes, obviously these fictional universes have aspects of fantasy that don't exist in the real world, but so how then do you suppose we're able to relate to them? The reason for that being is because these stories are written by people for people, so naturally there are going to be real life aspects embedded throughout. Sure, a little escapism doesn't hurt as we don't need to take everything so seriously, but ultimately we all need to recognize that the messages in the stories we tell matter. Most stories possess a combination of both light and dark themes, but when it specifically comes to the latter we gotta be careful with how we tackle this in children's media since kids are far more impressionable.
So if at the center of a story we have two of the main protagonists whose mom is basically their same age and to top it off she knew their dad when she was just a girl and who just so happened to help raise her, wouldn't you say that's beyond fucked up or at the very least so fucking weird? Like why would we think it's even remotely okay for our children to watch this garbage?? Really think about it. Try and be objective for once and think about how it would sound explaining this storyline to an outsider who's never watched IY or HNY. Well, antis have tried this before many times and we always get the same reaction: Ewww!
Like I said earlier, if you wanna ship it then fine, but 1) please stop seeking our approval or trying to change our minds - your ship wish came true didn't it, so why do you need us to validate it? 2) even though it's not canon, respect that we don't support this sequel portraying pedophilia in a positive light. It's harmful af to not only allow but glorify the continuation of sexualized images of young girls everywhere. And I shouldn't have to say this, but just because this trope is popular as you say does not make it right. Lolicon themes in the media have been an issue forever and it needs to stop. Yes, even some people in Japan or "the East" would agree. Shocker!
We're pissed off and rightfully so because Yashahime's TV rating is 14, not to mention it airs at the prime time kids in Japan watch TV after getting home from school. That's Towa and Setsuna's age, true, but if Rin being the mom when she's like only a year older than them (please don't argue w/ me about the math- antis have so far been right every time with it) is straight-up disgusting and not something we should be supporting or endorsing. Rin's a whole ass child!! Please don't start with the "but times were different then so her having kids at 15 is acceptable" argument either, because we've already debunked that and every other single excuse you guys throw at us. Besides, how or why would you expect young viewers to know these historical "facts" anyway, especially if as you suggest fiction doesn't affect reality so what does it matter? Yet here we are, arguing over a fictional show in real life almost a year and a half into the "Sesshomaru fucks?" sequel being announced. My ass, your ass, hell all our asses fiction doesn't affect reality!
Look, I do apologize if the tone of this blog came off as snippy or condescending at times. I do not wish you any ill will, it's just I'm not really sure what you expected to get out of all this besides maybe getting on my nerves perhaps. haha A lot of you shippers have been desperately scrambling to interact with us, lurking in our tags, jumping onto our posts screaming canon and getting so defensive even though you sought us out first. We've been sticking to our tags, so how about you stay in your lane too. By the way since we're on the topic, have you seen Twitter or Reddit?! SR shippers there are the actual worst and many Inuyasha fans (not just antis) have complained of not feeling welcomed to engage in fandom spaces anymore. Shippers swarm them and scare them off simply because fans don't like your ship and refuse to accept it. It's pathetic, really. No one should ever be bullied or harassed just because they don't like something you might. We're all fans of Inuyasha, aren't we? So let's act like it. Yashahime on the other hand, you guys are welcome to that pungent heap of trash. Fans have a right to criticize it too, but if you like it then good for you, so keep on liking it and don't mind us.
I'm almost done, but real quick back to Jaken! Let's not forget about how the official Yashahime website- which came out after my blog, mind you- described Jaken. This translation isn't the best one available but it's the only version a fellow anti friend could track down. They do recall a better one done by a native Japanese speaker who was also an anti, and that member confirmed that Jaken is indeed called Rin's babysitter. So you see, I was right in my interpretation. In the original post I did compare Jaken to a brother, but after talking to others (some comments can be found under said post) I did acknowledge that he's more of a reluctant babysitter who's not related. And if he's not at least a brother to Rin, then he's definitely not her father.
At the end of the day, the creator Rumiko Takahashi has the final word. Which is guess what? Hogosha. 💖 Probably should've just started out with that and saved us all the trouble, huh? Good day/night to you.
Papamaru bids you adieu now. 🤞

I think what most astounds me about Sessrinners is that they can be so intellectually obtuse as to bend over backwards to deny what is by all intents and purposes - textbook grooming.
Let’s recap what we know about Sessrin and their relationship shall we?
Rin is:
A: a completely defenseless, all alone in the world orphaned child who’s suffered severe trauma at the hands of humans and has experienced little in the way of actually genuine kindness.
B: She meets this adult man of awe-inspiring strength who’s the first person in a long time who took an interest in her well-being and not only revived her but also brought her along to protect and clothe her.
C. So grateful is she towards Sesshomaru’s acts of kindness towards her that she treats him with the utmost reverence and respect, obeying his every command while even needing to be told by him when it’s okay to move again. In her eyes he is a God who can do no wrong, he is her savior and she is his servant to whom she feels eternally indebted to and he is now the strongest point of authority in her life.
D. Despite all this canon makes clear that she was NEVER ONCE romantically interested in him, she didn’t even have so much as a crush like Sessrinners always like to claim. If she did she wouldn’t have hardcore shipped him with Kagura and tried to get them together, instead she would’ve been jealous. Lack of jealousy and being excited over the prospect of Sesshomaru with another woman is clear demonstration of a lack of romantic interest on her part, unless Rin is polyamorous, which I very much doubt considering this is a Rumiko Takahashi franchise At most she viewed him as just a friend if not an outright father/older-brother figure. Sessrinners will give the excuse “BuT sHe wAS JuSt tOo yoUNg tO dEvEloP tHoSe KiNdS oF FeeLINGS~” 🤪 In a series where even a little kid like Shippo is able to get crushes? No. And if she was old enough to pick up on Kagura’s feelings when even Jaken couldn’t, why pray tell wouldn’t she know her own? Face it Raisins, your “QUEEN~” is just not that into him.
So knowing all this how in the ever lasting hell did Sesshomaru manage to get Rin to agree to marry him and bear his children if she never had more than platonic feelings towards him?
Well now let’s recount from Sesshomaru’s side:
Sesshomaru is:
A: 11-12 years older than Rin in human years and has been in her life since she was 7-8 and he 19, effectively watching her grow up.
B: Whether you interpret him as her father figure, master, or even just her babysitter, the fact of the matter is that he did raise her, at least for a time. Even after that he still continues to make all the important decisions in her life even down to choosing her next permanent caretaker
C: Is the only one Rin has left in this world, without him she’s shit out of luck!
What we know from how their “courtship” developed from the end of the Final Act:
A: Sesshomaru kept stopping by to bring her gifts, remaining a prominent influence in her life during her journey into puberty.
B: According to Raisins themselves the Drama CD is apparently “canon” so this means Sesshomaru was already putting the idea of marriage into Rin’s mind when she was only 11!
C: Even in marriage Rin still refers to him as “sama” and has such “complete faith him” that she even allows him to kidnap her just birthed newborns without even as so much as an acknowledgement (oh but he had enough time to say a few words to Kagome and Sango but not his own damn wife who just went through childbirth? Give me a break!)This is literally all textbook grooming, Sessrinners can miss me with that shit about it all being “Rin’s choice!” Even if you want to discount the fact that she’s a child and so literally can’t consent, just the fact that she automatically regulated Sesshomaru to the “friendzone” and was never into him that way should be proof enough that marrying him really wasn’t her “choice” after all. She married him because she felt she literally had no choice.
D: He literally uses grooming like language like “That is why it is fine for things to remain as they are for now. We have plenty of time, you can examine your heart at your own pace.”

Sesshomaru Is
Characters: Sesshomaru x GNREADER
Type: imagine / list
Anime: Inuyasha
Summary: Sesshomaru is ... The type to do things that would be out of character to others, but to his significant other. It was normal.
A/N: I'm in my feels for Sesshomaru. And I love the thought of a cold, daddy issues, hard exterior guy being soft for someone they really care about. Enjoy.
--------------------------------
Sesshomaru is .... Caring.
At least to you, behind closed doors. One time you had fallen ill, and it was the first time in your 2 year marriage youve ever seen him so caring. Sure, there had been times were he would give you a piggy back ride here and there, maybe help you in the rain. But this kind of caring? This was being attentive care. He fluffed a pillow that he himself made, figured out how to make this one soup for demons that his father once made him when he was young.
"Are you sure, you aren't sick yourself?" You asked through coughs that were running through your body. "I am perfectly fine, you are the one sick." He stated a matter fact, that tone of voice to drop the conversation.
And you did, though you were still shock by how he then spoon feed you. He made sure the fire stayed lit. Even had A-un come in and had the pet lay next to you.
Sesshomaru is... Funny.
"You want to hear a joke?" He asked one night, Jaken was off on a little scouting for meat with A-Un. Leaving you and your husband with one another, watching the shooting stars grace the sky. You laugh in response, Sesshomaru only told jokes when no one and I mean NO ONE was around.
Which meant, you both were alone, no nearby demons or humans around for miles.
"Yes, my love tell the joke," You told him, scooting closer to him. Resting your head on his shoulder, on the side with the fur, the fur tickling your nose. Listening closely as he spoke, though his laugh kept cutting the joke off.
His laugh was a melody, a sweet melody no one, (at least you think) has ever heard before.
Sesshomaru is..... Shy?
Sesshomaru had a reputation, he was cold hearted, stock, rude and ruthless. He would kill anyone and everyone, regardless of who they were. And when you two first met, you honestly thought you were going to be killed on the spot.
Because you had spilled red beans, all over his pure white robe.
And Jaken was no help at that time, "Oh youve done it now! Lord Sesshomaru has been -" He joked out, his head getting dent as Sesshomaru hit him with the handle of his sword. "Shut up Jaken," He scolded him, a light blush was visible on his cheeks.
And you noticed it, along with Jaken, "Lord Sesshomaru.. are you blushing?"
Jaken then was kicked a good distance away, about 10ft. "I am so sorry, I .. I didn't mean too, this branch."
"Youre alright, just... Don't let it happen again." He stated curtly, the red spreading throughout his face.

Hi!! Before you read this or try to take this down please just consider reading this instead of being so hateful. I don’t mean to spread hate onto any shippers but I do believe that Inuyasha’s fandom has a major problem that needs to be addressed. Trigger warning for pedophila, child p*rn and grooming.
Why Sessrin is problematic.
Sessrin is a very popular ship among the Inuyasha community. If you are a shipper of this pair you won’t have to worry for lack of content for it. Rin is a injured child character that is introduced in the original Inuyasha manga in issue 14. She meets Sesshomaru in the forest and even though she is going through a lot at such a young age her kind self still tries to help him out. Sesshomaru at first does not care for this child who is tending to him. He tells her to mind her business and has her leave. Soon after Rin is killed by Kouga’s pack of wolves and Sesshomaru with his demon power scented her blood and comes to save her with his Tenseiga. After this Sessshomaru decides to take in Rin and protect her even though he had a hatred for humans. A “similarly” shippers like to compare Inuyasha and Kagome’s relationship with but their relationship is not written with romantic tensions..
The reason why Rin was written and VERY important in Inuyasha is because she is the reason why Sesshomaru became a better person. He no longer hated humans or wanted to go against his brother. This broken human child Rin looked up to Sesshomaru who was a powerful older demon. Sesshomaru grew a soft side and it was because of her caring innocence. You could easily see their connection as father and daughter or Sesshomaru as a guardian for her. Never did he have the thought of getting with her when she got older and Rin never developed a crush on him. Why? Because she is a child who lost her parents and now has this person who protects her like one. People may say that Jaken was the father figure for Rin but I don’t agree because unlike Sesshomaru he did not care for Rin and only handled her to please his lord. Jaken would call Rin many negative things and go off at her. Rin was annoyed by Jaken. He is certainly not a parent figure for her. Sesshomaru provided a stay aside him to lead for Rin which she followed. Rin was no longer alone. She had Sesshomaru’s company now. Even if he was not very good at taking care of her he never wanted her to get hurt or killed again. He is new to this “taking care of people” thing after all especially humans...young humans. Sessrin would destroy the growth of Sesshomaru because it can’t be denyed that their relationship represents this much more than a romance waiting to happen. When Kagura came along Rin told Jaken joyfully she bet Kagura had a crush on Sesshomaru this small moment reminds you she a is a child that lost her parents and could be seeing this as a opportunity for Kagura to become her adoptive mother. And most Sesshomaru cosplayers would use their daughter to cosplay for Rin. Usually making the picture taken seem like Sesshomaru is protecting Rin or having them both share a cute bonding moment. Why? Because that is how their relationship is meant to be established. For a Sessrin cosplay to work people would have to age up Rin and her design or else the cosplayers would receive negative feedback. Now moving on to how aging up Rin is not okay either.
People claim they only would like to see these two get together once Rin is older but that is almost as bad as shipping Sessrin while she is a child. Sesshomaru saw Rin grow up. He raised her for a while as his own this needs to stop being denied in the fandom. For Sesshomaru to impregnate Rin is out of character. And seems like a sick fanasty. He is not that kind of character. He wouldn’t touch Rin in that matter. Even if she was in her late 20’s. He respected child Rin and would still respect her older. Sessrin is like if a babysitter got together with the person they use to take care of as a kid. It’s disturbing!! Not cute. Rin does not deserve to be fedished.
It’s actually terrifying how much child p*rn there is of Rin. I feel so ashamed by even coming across one by mistake. Don’t use the excuse that Rin is a fictional character. Enough with that excuse. Let’s throw that excuse away. That excuse of “it’s fictional it does not matter..” only works for certain things like when someone assigns headcanons for their favorite character or ships a non-canon pair that isn’t problematic. Not when we are speaking of drawing nsfw of a fictional child. And fictional or not. Rin is a child and every grown person who has drawn smut of her should be ashamed and even arrested. If you see a fictional child in this matter what knows what could you lead you up to see an actual kid as this too. It’s a big problem because there are so many people who have gotten away with this. It’s so easy to find a image of child Rin without any of her clothes on or being r*ped by Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru would never r*pe anyone. It’s quite sad. Kagome was saved from being sexually assaulted by Mukostu because of Sesshomaru. People has even brought doujinshi comics of Sessrin making love or may I call it child p*rn in disguise? Be honest with yourself. It really is just that.
Everyone finding out would be horrified. Excluding Hanyo No Yashahime which majorly changed the characters. Sesshomaru and Rin being together would make everyone uncomfortable even Miroku who has before asked a child if she would bare his kid. Which Inuyasha,Kagome, and Sango reacted very badly to. And was yelled at for it. They do not tolerate pedos nor grooming. Kagome especially would be against. She referred Rin as the girl many times and puzzled together that Sesshomaru took care for Rin. Many people bring up that Kouga proposed to Ayame when she was a kid but remember that was never in the original. Sunrise created Ayame and added this other plot in order for Kouga to have someone at the end. Which is sad because this could have worked if Ayame met Kouga and gained a crush on him instead. She was a cute character after all. In the manga Kouga remains by himself since Kagome stayed with Inuyasha. Now I am definitely not a fan of Kouga and Ayame. I despise the fact Sunrise only created her to be Kouga’s romance interest but having him tell her he would marry her once she was older was even worse. This was a choice Sunrise made not Kouga’s original character. The reason why Kagome does not call out Kouga on this is because she did not know Ayame was a child at the time he proposed. He never mentioned it but if he did I’m certain Kagome would have not tried to keep setting them up together knowing this information. And just a reminder that even in real life some Inuyasha voice actors such as Richard Ian Cox and David Kaye voice actor for Sesshomaru does not support Sessrin. Adding on shipping Rin with Sesshomaru is like shipping Shippo with Inuyasha or Kagome. Weird right?? In the Manga Sesshomaru’s Mother Inukimi says that Sesshomaru is like his father in the strangest of ways after saving Rin again. No this doesn’t mean that he will soon come to love her romantically because Inukimi did add “In the strangest of ways” and refers to Rin as a girl like Kagome. She means that Sesshomaru had now changed and that he cared about someone who was a human like his dad who also cared for them even though they are both demons.
It’s funny how the sequel claims girl power but does not know how to treat it’s female characters. Kagome and Sango are both introduced as Inuyasha and Miroku’s wives instead of their actual character. Now if you not a woman please do not have a say in this unless you wish to agree but this is very sexist Sunrise. I’m not exaggerating how upsetting and disrespectful it is to see you introduce these strong main female role models like this. Inuyasha and Miroku were not titled as husbands of...so why were Kagome and Sango? I’m sure 99% of audience would know who is married to who. Women are not objects or tools Sunrise. Kagome is the main character of Inuyasha even if his name is on title. She is the reason why got to meet these characters. Sunrise has done female characters dirty many times like making Ayame obessed with Kouga when she could have been a neat character but what they did to Rin takes the cake. Rin is introduced as “The girl who adores Sesshomaru” but apparently now that girl is the mother of his children. Shame on you Sunrise!! We only saw Rin ever as a child even when series ended aging her up to become Sesshomaru’s wife without knowing how she is as a grown person is not a good example for your younger female audience to view. This could have been avoided.
Even though I’m a minor who only been in this fandom for half a year I gather a lot of knowledge of how far this fandom goes. It was definitely most popular around early 2000’s and many say it was their first anime with their first anime crush being Sesshomaru. Inuyasha was an anime I did not look content for till later after finishing season 2. When I discovered Sessrin I was real confused and thought to myself it was just a small part of the fandom but I could have been more wrong. Many accounts I followed that involved Inuyasha shipped Sessrin. Even after finishing many Inuyasha episodes I was very confused on why this was a thing and how could have it gotten so big. I thought something magical would have happened like Rin turning out to be someone much older but that never happened. I was wrong. This ship is just pedophila and nothing else. And I’m sure if Sesshomaru wasn’t “attractive” Sessrin wouldn’t be big. Going back to people crushing on Sesshomaru when they were younger I’m sure the reason Sessrin is not more discussed about for how toxic it is online is because besides people being scared, people like to insert themselves as Rin but this has to stop. Adults should not pair a child and grown up together even if the child is now grown. Especially grown ups with kids. This is not good example to set for your kids. I’ve seen many minors being harassed online for disliking Sessrin by adults. Which is super immature and should be in trouble for. Netruals must know that is not a ship war because there have been people who have gotten horrible hate and were told very graphic things by Sessrin shippers. ( By the way I’m sorry to anyone who has been hurt online even Sessrin shippers. I do not support Sessrin but no one should be told awful things. ) Many Inuyasha fans which dislike Sessrin have left Twitter and Tumblr because of how much hate they have gotten. This is not okay. People should be able to voice their opinion on something without being told to commit s*icide or hoping they get r*ped.
And your point? This sequel is being written in the 21th century. We could write it however we please not everything has to be “accurate” and also this state is just supporting the idea of children being wed with a grown up was okay before because the age of consent was different. Ugh..but this claim is just another excuse. Please stop using it. Many things in the past were allowed which wouldn’t be allowed today. So no this is not a valid reason to ship Rin with Sesshomaru.
Sunrise should not be off the hook for using child Rin clips for the opening as the daughters are shown. It was a wrong decision to make them seem like “moments” since now many actual pedophiles will support this pair as well. Even before this continuing was announced Sessrin was a big thing and “adult Rin” was not. Sunrise should not be supporting Sessrin at all. Nor anyone in the Inuyasha crew. They have many young fans watching and supporting this anime and they are being influenced and will grow up to think grooming is okay when it’s not. Again in 2021 this can not be allowed and it shouldn’t have ever. This sequel was not necessary. The anime ended fine.
If Rin is the mom I will no longer support Hanyo No Yashahime. I’m sorry but I will sadly have to drop it. There are a lot of reasons why Sessrin should not be a thing and Sunrise should know many themselves, because they have joined along these character’s journeys and seen through scripts who they are. And what Sessrin is pedophila and grooming that happened to get a lot of support which is why it is hard to find more people within online media discuss it. I sure do hope it does because I am tired of seeing only few doing it. We need more awareness of how problematic grooming pairs are in anime media. No more portraying children to grow up as romance interests for people they were raised by. Let’s keep Sesshomaru and Rin’s relationship wholesome. There is no need for them to get together. At the end of the day Rin owns Sesshomaru nothing and he knows that. Let’s start viewing them from a different point of view. Let’s see more fanart of them acting like father and daughter. I love that. Thank you and have a good day.

How To Tame A Sorcerer (71)
Series Master list
Nobara is no expert on human anatomy or curse, or even demon anatomy. Heck, she can't even tell the difference between an insect or a bug.
But.
Humans should have their intestines inside their bodies, right? Like that's a given. There is no way to survive if your intestines are on the outside.
Can rct even heal that?
What are the limits, anyway? Can you come back from any kind of attack? Blows to the head? Or even if you're cut in half? No one has ever sat her down and explained just how the reverse curse technique even works.
Jaken grabs her hand. "You foolish child! We must run now!" He squawks, but Nobara cannot take her eyes off the sight.
Yuki is a special grade.
Special grades are like nothing in this world. Like Gojo-sensei. Special grades are strong. And yet…Yuki-san's intestines are wrapped around her like rope. Sukuna's tentacles wrap around Yuki's body like her intestines. There is a stench in the air. That copper smell. Blood stains the floor.
She hurls all over the floor. Bits and pieces from breakfast. She hurls until there is nothing left but her own desperation. It mixes with the blood and the sight makes her want to hurl again, but she has nothing left inside of her. Nothing left to give.
Yuki-san is strong, right? She can recover from this. Nobara wipes her mouth. She should do something. Anything. Help Yuki-san get out of this mess.
But Choso is down for the count, and it's just her. Where is Yaga-sensei? Where is Panda? Anyone? How did Sukuna even get out?
Where is Yuji? Is he still alive? What about Sesshomaru-sama? He could take Sukuna on, right?
Right?
"Let's go," Jaken says, pulling her away.
"No! We have to help." Nobara tugs, but Jaken's grip is surprisingly strong. She needs to do something. Even if it is just to buy time for Yuki-san to heal. She is a special grade! That has to mean something. Yuki-san should be untouchable like Gojo-sensei.
But. Gojo-sensei isn't here either, and he is the strongest.
"She is already dead. He's absorbing her. If you try anything, you will die." Jaken pulls her along and sighs at the sight of Choso. He bends down and mutters something under his breath.
The room flashes out of sight, though Sukuna's haunting red eyes are scarred into her brain. His aura. His demeanor. Everything about him was terrifying. And she didn't jump in and help. She should have jumped in to help. Assist somehow. Why did she stand there and do nothing? Just because Yuki-san said she could handle it?
Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!
"Nobara!" Kagome-san greets, smiling gently. "Did you get some more research done?" Kagome-san rubs her belly and then frowns at the sight of Choso.
Nobara trembles. They were just at the school, but now they are here at Sesshomaru-sama's estate. She blinks back the tears.
Safe. They're safe, but what about everyone else? Who is protecting them? Warning them?
Jaken squawks something and a guard rushes over, lifting Choso over their shoulder with ease, as though he weighs as light as a feather.
"Nobara," Kagome-san calls, placing her hands on her shoulders. "What happened?" Kagome-san glances at Jaken, who sucks in a breath.
"Sukuna is out. He had Naraku's body," Jaken answers. "He engaged in a battle with Yuki and decided to absorb her," he relays as though he is giving a report.
Kagome inhales. "Okay…" She turns away. "I need to know everyone else is okay." Kagome walks away and then pauses. "Nobara, do you want to come with me or go lie down?"
"How are you still calm?" Nobara asks. Her hands are still trembling. Sukuna took Yuki out as though she was nothing. As though fighting her was a simple matter and the outcome was always going to be in his favor. "Su-Sukuna is out there, and you're calm!"
How is she so calm? Doesn't Kagome-san realize that Sukuna will come for all of them? Especially her?
Kagome sighs softly and walks back over to Nobara. She wraps her arms around her and pulls her into a hug. "Because I have to be calm. Someone has to be strong when others are weak. That's what it's like when you aren't in it alone. It's okay to be upset. To be scared. But we need to make sure everyone else is okay. They need to know. Or maybe they do know since InuYasha and Yuji left out together."
"They left out together?"
"Yeah, I think they went to help out at the Zenin estate, or they went to do something else." She runs her hand over Nobara's back. "It's going to be okay. Sukuna went after you all because you weren't expecting it. He can't get in here," Kagome-san says with so much confidence that Nobara wants to believe her. Wants to believe in her strength, but she believed in Yuki-san's strength and now she's gone.
Jaken nods. "Sesshomaru-sama's estate is well guarded. Even if Sukuna could get through the barrier, I doubt even he could brute force his way into Kagome's creation."
Nobara pulls back. Her brows furrow together. What? Kagome's creation?
"We're working on strengthening the barrier," Kagome adds. "You missed the chaos of the baby shikigami." She grabs Nobara's hand. "Jaken, check in with Sesshomaru. I…I need to help Nobara."
"I'm fine," she sniffles. "I'm a sorcerer. I've seen worse." She needs to get it together. Pull herself together right now. What kind of sorcerer loses their head because of a little death?
"You're still a child. There's nothing wrong with that." Kagome hums, as she tugs Nobara's hand. "Children shouldn't be fighting these battles. If I had my way, you wouldn't have to."
Nobara blinks. For a moment there, it felt like Gojo-sensei was here. They must be doing that thing where couples start to look like. That's something Gojo-sensei would say. He's always going on about the youth.
Jaken runs, yelling for Sesshomaru at the top of his lungs. Nobara winces. Jaken's voice is so…not pleasant when he's screeching like that, but she can appreciate his urgency.
"I don't know where anyone else is," she admits. "Yaga-sensei and Panda weren't there. Neither were Maki nor Inumaki." Everyone else is spread out, trying to play these culling games. Nobara sucks in a breath. The culling games. More like a massacre now.
"We'll figure it out. Do what we can from here," Kagome-san says as she leads down the halls and to her room.
Nobara blinks. She can't get over just how massive Kagome-san's room is.
Kagome-san grabs her phone off the table and calls someone. She flashes Nobara a smile, but Nobara is too upset to be confirmed.
This is a huge problem. And she allowed herself to be pulled away without fighting back. How weak she is. Nobara clenches her fists. Yuji and Megumi are advancing much more quickly than her. Yuji wouldn't hesitate, but her? She clamped up at the oppressiveness of Sukuna's aura. His aura alone had her hair standing and her heart trying to run down the halls.
"Oh no," she whispers, covering her mouth with her hands. Kagome-san raises a brow as she ends the call. "We forgot about Tengen-sama." At Kagome-san's blank expression, Nobara continues, "Tengen-sama is responsible for keeping the barriers around Japan intact. They make sure that curses don't get too powerful…or at least that's what the barriers used to do, so that civilians would have a chance at survival. Without those barriers, we could have a world where the power scale is way above special grade."
Kagome-san frowns. "So, like demons and humans coexisting without glamours?"
"Uhh…" Nobara sniffs. "I don't know," she admits. "But protecting Tengen-sama is a priority."
The door slams open. Nobara steels her muscles. She is not going to jump like some scaredy cat. Speaking of cats…what is that on Kagome-san's bed? Does it have wings?
"Does no one knock around here?" Kagome huffs.
"The wolf is tracking the other child's scent," Sesshomaru-sama says. "He has been informed of the recent developments."
"Tsumiki," Kagome-san says. "I got in contact with Megumi-kun since no one else was answering. He said they are fine for the most part and they'll be coming back here after they calm Maki down."
Nobara blows out a breath. Phew. Okay, they are okay. If anyone was dead, they would say so. She pulls out her phone. She should warn the others, though. They have no idea what is going on. Nobara bites her lip as she puts everyone into a group chat. The black cat, if it can be considered a cat, stretches, and jumps off the bed. It brushes against her legs.
Her blood goes hot.
Like she's been running for days.
Nobara looks down at the cat. It blinks up at her. "You are not Buyo Jr. You don't even look like him."
"She's a shikigami, but I haven't decided on a name yet. I'm hoping she'll be able to talk and just tell me what she wants to be called."
Nobara's thumbs hover over the phone. Talk? It's a shikigami, not a child or a demon. The cat shikigami brushes against her leg again and her blood runs hot.
Wait.
Is it taking her fear away?
Is she going crazy?
"We need to go back for Tengen-sama," Nobara says, sliding her phone into her pocket.
"No," Sesshomaru-sama cooly, "This Sesshomaru is not wasting time and effort on something that should have died centuries ago."
Nobara splutters. She turns to look at Kagome-san for support, but Kagome-san doesn't seem at all phased by Sesshomaru-sama's words. "But the barriers," Nobara says weakly.
"The priestess could do a better job if it comes down to it," Sesshomaru says, flicking his hair back. "Where is your fox?"
"Yakeru?"
Sesshomaru-sama doesn't blink. "Call him here. I have need of the foxes."
"…Okay, I can do that. What's wrong with Shippo, though?"
"He doesn't get along with the other foxes."
Kagome sighs. "He is more like a dog sometimes." She reaches for her phone again. "Nobara, do you need to be checked out by Shoko? I forgot to ask."
"Ieiri-san is here?"
"Mhmm, Sesshomaru had her called here. She's working with the other healers."
Nobara frowns. When did that happen? Come to think of it, she didn't see Ieiri-san at the school. But how did they sneak her in when she's been here nearly this whole time?
Kagome-san pulls out a chair and sits down. She blows out a breath as she presses the phone closer to her ear.
There's a knock at the door and Kagome-san beams. "Come in," she calls, before turning her attention back to the phone.
Nobara blinks. Her body is physically in the room, but it feels like her mind is a thousand miles away. What is happening right now? Sukuna is out and Kagome-san is so…uncaring about it? She peeks at Sesshomaru-sama. No expression.
Is this why Gojo-sensei loves Kagome-san so much? She's so calm, even though it feels like the world is on fire.
"Hey!" Yuta-san calls, "I just got the update from Yuji."
"Stay here," Sesshomaru-sama says. "They should be on their way back."
"Yeah, but they said they were having a hard time calming Maki down. I should head there and try to get through to her."
"InuYasha knows to knock her out if it comes to that," Sesshomaru-sama says. "He should and stop wasting time."
"Yakeru will be here as soon as he can," Kagome says. "What do you need the foxes for?"
Sesshomaru-sama inspects his claws. "Even a fox can be of use."
"But Sukuna took over this Naraku's body. That's a problem," Yuta-san points out.
Nobara nods her head. Finally! Someone who is taking this seriously. "And Tengen-sama," she reminds them. "Tengen-sama is defenseless. He may have already gotten to them."
Yuta sucks in a breath.
"He took over the body of a half-breed," Sesshomaru-sama says, "A half-breed that was once human and invited demons to feast on his body and soul to become the vermin called Naraku. Naraku's body is weak."
Nobara splutters. "He took out Yuki-san! A special grade. One of the strongest."
Sesshomaru-sama snorts. "If you wish to save Tengen, then go. But this Sesshomaru will not assist you in a fool's errand."
Yuta frowns as he clenches his fists, but he makes no move to leave. Nobara swallows. If Yuta thinks it's a fool's errand, then should she just stay here? The cat shikigami brushes against her leg again, and this time her blood feels slightly warm.
Her whole body is warm.
Weightless.
Like she's losing her resolve.
"Nobara, why don't you lie down for a bit?" Kagome-san says, getting up from her seat. She walks over to her and guides her to the bed.
"But…he absorbed Yuki-san…" Her head is fuzzy. Is everything catching up to her? She sits down on the bed and slides her shoes off. The bed is soft. Really soft. The cat shikigami jumps up on the bed and climbs into her lap. "We should hunt him down before he gets all the fingers…or absorbs anyone else." Her eyelids are heavy.
Kagome-san smiles. "Don't worry about it right now. We'll come up with a plan."
A plan?
Yeah…It's as though someone placed a weighted blanket on her. She's so tired.
A plan sounds nice.
Her eyes flutter as she lies back on the bed. The cat shikigami blinks its blue eyes at her. It purrs.
"You…" she says, as her eyes slide shut.

A/N: Had to drop this Nobara chapter on Women's Day. I promise to answer questions next update. I'm sure you are all aware by now that Toriyama (Dragon Ball) has passed away. My hope for all of you is that you are do something that brings you joy. That you are surrounding yourself with people who want to see you win. Be gentle with yourself this weekend. Get plenty of rest and make sure you are refilling your well.
Here's a sneak peek at a future Nanami chapter for Thousand Days:
"I like it," he says, looking at his shoes. "The thought of them together."
"Wait. Pause." Shoko rubs her temple. "Do you want to watch them?"
Kento opens his mouth but the words fight with one another. There's so much he wants to say, but he doesn't know where to begin. "Yes," he chokes out. "I can't stop imagining them or how he would take her."
"Oh…this is a problem." Shoko exhales and then stands. She crosses her arms. "I understand that this is not ideal for you, but there's nothing wrong with being attracted to Kagome or Satoru."
"I'm not attracted to Satoru," he spits out. "It's more about Kagome."
"…Okay, but when you picture someone other than Satoru how does that make you feel?"
Kento blinks. He readjusts his glasses. "I hate it."
"But not if it's Kagome AND Satoru?"
"I think I'm going to vomit."
"If you do, do it outside my office. There's no windows in here to air it out."
Kento sighs. "Is there no cure for me?"
Shoko laughs. "Sure there is. It's called making a move."

Troll again! “ yeah, well. perhaps i didn't understand just how much until this very moment. “
I'll never say no to a prompt from you @moon-ion! This one ran away from me, though I'm sure you won't complain considering the spice that's gone along with it.
Your Entertainment
Summary: After infiltrating a human-trafficking ring, Kagome is presented as a gift to a familiar face.
Inspiration: "Your Entertainment" by Adam Lambert Triggers/Warnings: Reference to sex/human trafficking
Read it on Ao3, Dokuga, and FFnet.
Sneak Peak
"What is the meaning of this?" A familiar screech pulled her out of her thoughts, and Kagome looked down in shock. Of all creatures she'd imagined coming across, Jaken was certainly not at the top of her list.
"You dare to bring these filthy humans into my lord's abode—"
Kagome jerked, suddenly looking around in earnest. The lizards had brought them to the Western Keep? They were even stupider than she thought.
She almost pitied them now.
The stoic Western Lord had only crossed her path a few times since she'd returned to the past, but it was obvious he wasn't on the side of abusing humans anymore. How were these morons going to sway Sesshoumaru's mind into letting them sell off human women right under his nose?
"We come with a gift for the mighty Sesshoumaru-sama," one of the lizards said, his tail twitching back and forth. "Please summon him so he may choose from our selection of merchandise."
Fuck.

Sesshomaru: Where are you going?
Kikyo: I’m going to teach Rin how to shoot arrows so she can fight evil demons in the future.
Sesshomaru: She’s a human girl. Fighting doesn’t suit her.
Kikyo: Excuse me??
Sesshomaru: …You don’t count.
Kikyo: ……
Sesshomaru: Just because there’s an exception like you doesn’t mean humans are meant to be fighters.
Kikyo: If I can fight it means humans very well have the potential to become fighters, it’s just that most people haven’t gotten the training.
Sesshomaru: If one pig manages to learn farming, are you going to start teaching all pigs how to plant crops?
Kikyo: You’re comparing humans to pigs?
Sesshomaru: Yes I made an analogy.
Kikyo: ……
Sesshomaru: ……
Kikyo: If a pig can figure out the complex process of farming, then maybe it is *us* who have misunderstood them all along. Perhaps we should try communicating with more pigs to reassess their cognitive abilities.
Sesshomaru: If out of all the pigs in the world who live with farmers and watch farmers do their daily chores, only ONE learns how, then it means normal pigs do not have the mental capacity to do that.
Rin: Jaken-sama, what are Sesshomaru-sama and Kikyo-sama talking about?
Jaken: When did you two start eavesdropping?! It’s all because of YOU that they are arguing!
Kikyo: Kaede and Rin, I’m sorry I didn’t see you two come. I was busy talking to this person.
Kaede: How about you two just calm down and let ME take care of Rin?
Kikyo: Kaede, it is time to teach Rin how to fight, just like how I taught you when you were even younger than her. For the past few years, when Inuyasha and the others were out fighting and the village got attacked, you did everything you could to keep everyone safe. However, you can not protect the village forever, so Rin will have to succeed you.
Sesshomaru: No. Rin is very fragile. Never let her touch a weapon. Teach her cooking, sewing, and whatever else you human females normally do.
Kaede: Okay first of all, we have many fighters living in this village, so Rin doesn’t have to do it. On the other hand, she’s not fragile either. She’s actually quite athletic. Did you forget that she caught live fish at age 7?
Rin: Sesshomaru-sama, Kikyo-sama, I think our village is very safe. Kohaku and the others are really good so don’t worry! I don’t want to fight, but I want to learn how to shoot arrows so I can go hunting and share the food with everyone.
Kaede: Rin is being considerate as always! If you want, I can give you your first lesson as soon as we’re done our chores for today.
Rin: Yay! Let’s go finish up everything quickly. Goodbye Sesshomaru-sama and Kikyo-sama, thank you for visiting me again today!
Jaken: Wait you’re going already?
Rin: Goodbye Jaken-sama!
Kikyo: ……I guess…that works too.
Sesshomaru: Let’s go.
